I found this establishment about 4 years ago. They have always and I mean always provided me with the utmost professionalism and care. They are very personable and have adhered to promised deadlines each and every time. They even went so far as to perform an alteration that I didnt realize I needed once simply because they knew Id planned to wear the item upon pickup. I would never take my clothing anywhere else. Excellent communicators,, but even better people.

I got my wedding dress professionally cleaned and preserved with this company about one year ago. I was going to send it out to David’s bridal cleaning services but felt uncomfortable mailing my dress and instead found McPherson’s which was local and had decent reviews for dry cleaning. I decided to spend the extra $$$ and chose them, even though it was about three times the cost of David’s bridal preservation. I was not pleased with their customer service or their transparency. On their website it states that my dress would be cleaned, steamed and preserved. Before boxing my wedding dress I received a call stating the dress had been cleaned and was ready to be preserved and it was ready for me to inspect before boxing it. When I went to go look at it, the inside of the dress had what looked like “air bubbles”. I was told this happens when the glue is melted during the cleaning process. Nowhere during this process was I told that this could be a potential issue. When I asked why this wasn’t explained to me before, I was told “ma’am, I am not sure what you do for work but I am sure you don’t tell your customers everything you are going to to in detail”, (Mind you I am a medical provider, so yes I do go into detail with every patient what I am going to do). When I asked if it was going to be steamed to get the bubbles out, they told me no and that it was “idiotic” and that no one would steam a dress about to go in a box. I was upset because of this response and felt like the owner was talking down to me. I did not leave a review at that time because this is a small business and my dress looked like it had been clean well. Fast forward to about ten minutes ago, when I opened my dress out of the box for my one year anniversary pictures, I find that a piece of my dress is missing. It no longer has the cord that was used to tie the corset. So now, not only do I have to worry about finding a replacement cord but part of my dream wedding dress is forever lost. I would not recommend McPherson’s for wedding dress preservation to anyone.

I have been going here for years. Sports coats, suits, sweaters, dresses. There is a reason they have been family-run here for more than 60 years. I have never had an issue, but if I did I know they would do everything they could to address it.

Best dry cleaning in the area.

My fiancé and I decided to have a last minute wedding this weekend, and I being in the military wanted to wear my dress blues. They needed dry cleaned but unnoticed Thursday night that they were missing a patch on the arm, and I didnt have anymore and long story short I needed quite a few alterations done in order to have patches on both arms. I took my blues in on Friday morning and they were dry cleaned and had the alterations I needed done within no time. The people there were super friendly and understanding of what I needed done and the price was reasonable also for what I needed done. If I ever need alterations or dry cleaning again this is where I will go and I will recommend it to anyone. My dress blues look better than they ever have!

I recently picked up some shirts I had laundered here at McPherson’s. I was not impressed with the quality of their work for the price I paid.

I am NOT impressed by the quality of their work. I dropped off three lightly wrinkled shirts from the garment bag and two other items to be simply pressed off, what I received for $41.25 was the same items which looked completely untouched and STILL wrinkled in the same spots, except it appears all they did was get covered in a plastic bag.

McPherson Cleaners preserved my wedding dress and they did an amazing job! It was preserved in a lovely viewing box and I can rest assured that it will keep forever! I would highly recommend their services, especially for a wedding dress preservation. Thank you!

Alterations where perfect. Friendly and affordable

I took some items in as a first time customer and left with the impression that the cost would be around $24. The gentleman who took my information was clearly busy and in a rush to get to the next customer who had walked in toward the end of our conversation. He called me back within the hour and told me the price would be $100. I explained that I could not pay that much at which point he clearly did not care to engage in any further conversation and abruptly hung up the phone when I said I would come back to get the items. When I showed up the items were in a pile on the counter. NOT neatly folded as they were when I dropped them off. I have since checked with others who also concluded a high price but were much nicer and informative in the exchange of information. Needless to say I will not be returning with ANY items for my family and will let my neighbors, clients and work colleagues know about this terribly rude experience.

Dry cleaning not complete
