Dolans is Burlingtons secret when it come to car repair, car knowledge, and sales. They have the fairest prices in town, are 100% straight shooters, and sell used cars they fix themselves. I bought my daughters car from them and it was a great purchase. They also saved me thousands when we almost bought a car from another local, large dealer that turned out to be a disaster. Very professional and incredibly timely. New to the area and wasnt sure where to go to get my car fixed and saw Dolans had 5 stars and FOR GOOD REASON. The guys are great and called before they did anything and saved me money on a repair even though it made them less money. Will be going there for any car troubles I have going forward! During my years in college I always went to them whenever I was in the area. They have friendly and fast service. I never felt that I was gyp because they always showed me the parts after they were done servicing my car. As a broke college student they were willing to help me find a price that was affordable.I always recommend this garage to anyone who’s in the area. Ive been taking my cars to Dolans since I first heard about them five years ago, and I cant possibly recommend them highly enough. They do top-quality work, communication is 100% clear, and they always keep costs to a minimum. Theyre all really nice guys, to boot. Best shop Ive found anywhere.

The guys at Dolans are lifesavers. They are reasonably priced and Ive never had to bring a car back after a repair. Theyve helped me out a number of times in ways that went beyond normal service - replacing a friends headlight for the cost of parts only, giving advice over the phone for a tire pressure issue, and lending me a boost pack/putting their work on pause to replace my battery when it died one afternoon. Ive never suspected they were trying to up-sell me on anything. I wish their windows for routine service were a little more precise, but whenever Ive asked them if they can have it done by a certain time, they do it if they can. Ill keep using them as long as I live in the area.

But it doesnt stop there, they make sure to go above and beyond not because they feel the need to but because they want to.I cant say enough great things about the service I have received from this place. I have been here 3-4 times now.Last week I brought my car in because my wheels were making terrible noises. Turns out the rear pads and rotors needed to be replaced. I informed them they replaced them just over a year ago. So they provided me with new rear breaks at no cost! (The materials and labor under warranty). I was soo relieved and grateful for them to offer this!It doesnt stop there though...They noticed I was due for an inspection, without hesitation they provided my car with the service. It was such a relief since it now saved me from making another appointment.For as long as I am living in this area, Dolans Auto will continue to be my go-to car mechanic......and they should be yours too!

I didn’t have my vehicle repaired here but I feel compelled to share my experience. I brought my car in for something that would be an expensive fix. They had done the job before for another customer and knew it was tough, especially finding the part. Dolan’s said they would do the fix if I found the part but it wasn’t really their specialty and last time had been a much bigger process than they were able to handle (They are a smaller, family owned shop so understandable). They recommended another shop in town who does the type of work I needed more regularly and might have a better chance at getting parts quick. The shop they recommended was excellent and fair and I’m really appreciative for Dolan’s pointing me their way. For other repairs I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my vehicles back to Dolan’s because of both the positive reviews on their workmanship and the attitude I experienced in the shop. While I was waiting in the office I overheard their service writer on the phone with a customer whose car didn’t pass inspection. It was evident the customer didn’t want to spend a lot of money and the service writer was very helpful in suggesting cheap parts sourcing and repairs the customer could do at home to reduce costs. Obviously businesses exist to make money but it’s evident Dolan’s is also committed to helping their customers.

My husband and I recently relocated here and were in desperate need of repairs on our only vehicle, a Subaru outback, and these guys not only fit us in on short notice but the cost was beyond reasonable! My daughters car had an issue while at UVM. We had no knowledge of any garages in Burlington. After some research I found that Dolans, hands down, had the best reviews. I decided to call and immediately was struck by how nice they were. We decided to have her car towed to Dolans and they fixed her car for very little money. She was thrilled, as am I! I trust Dolans %100, which I cant say about any other auto-business. When I was in college and delivering food to pay the bills, these guys kept my car running for amazing rates. When my repairs exceeded the value of my car, with almost no budget, they spent hours of spare time helping me find a new vehicle and keep my job! These guys are absolutely the best. They have fixed problems on my car that have stumped others. Every time I drop my car off before hours, they always call me within 15-20 minutes of opening with the solution for my car and the price to fix it, which is always cheaper than others have quoted me (ex: 150 vs 113 for a battery, 150 vs 50 to change out my winter tires). These guys are professional and dont take advantage of you. I would highly highly HIGHLY suggest them. Its well worth waiting out the weekend until they open on Monday.

Sean and the rest of the guys at Dolan’s were great. They did diagnostics on my 2006 wrangler and when realizing it was beyond their scope of work advised to where I could take it for an axle rebuild. Will definitely be going to Dolan’s again in the future.

I patroned Dolans after visiting Bournes Auto for some maintenance. BA insisted I needed thousands of $ in fuel line repairs but the guys at Dolans talked me through the check up; taking into account the context of how old my car was and how it might not be worth dumping $ into repairs. They very quickly earned my trust and were all very friendly.

I have used nearly everybody in town over the last 4 years and Dolans provides unparalleled service. They are straight shooters and arent going to tell you that something needs to be fixed unless it absolutely has to and when that time comes they are the cheapest around. I am so impressed by the guys at Dolans. I took my car in thinking it was totaled. They changed my fuel pump for much less than I thought I would have to pay. My rotors and breaks were also terrible, and, knowing I didnt want to put too much money into my car (its 10 years old), they found me some used rotors and only charged me for labor. As a lady who doesnt know much about cars, Im always worried about being taken advantage of at car places, but the guys at Dolans were professional, worked quickly, communicated and took care of my car troubles for less than I expected.

Great Service, told me what my truck needed, told me the best way to fix it for the lowest cost (even though it meant they didnt sell me a couple of the parts), and did great work. These guys know how to take care of and keep customers, which unfortunately seems to be a rare thing these days.

These guys have the lowest labor rates in town and constantly work to find ways to save you money. After getting burned at several national chains over the years I asked a friend for a recommendation (5 or 6 years ago) and have been going exclusively to Dolans ever since.How many mechanics tell you what NOT to waste money on? Most - even the quicky oil change places - hand you a sheet of paper with a list of expensive and often unnecessary work/maintenance when you go to pay for service you came in for. Dolans goes out of their way to tell you not to bother spending money on, what can wait, etc.Their honesty has the phones ringing off the hook and Im almost hesitant to write such a glowing review, because Im afraid it will become difficult to get an appointment! But when my car wouldnt start the day before Independence Day weekend, they squeezed me in last minute and were beyond fair with the price I felt compelled to give them the praise they deserve.

I have taken my care to other shops and been over charged. I looked up auto shops and they were the only one with great reviews! Believe the reviews. They are friendly, helpful and personable. I took my car to get a second opinion at Dolans after a crazy quote from another place and they were almost half the price for the same work. They are family owned and it has the true small town vermont feel. Trust the reviews it was worth it for me.

THESE GUYS ARE GREAT!!!I had them give me a second opinion on an O2 sensor fix in my Subaru Outback. The first shop I went to wanted to charge me ungodly amounts of money to diagnose the check engine light and replace the sensor. I brought it into dolans who found that there wasnt actually anything wrong with the O2 sensor at all, rather it was a small issue with the check engine light coming on without any problem to the engine at all. Dolans could have easily told me that I still needed a new sensor, charged me $250 and sent me on my way, and I wouldnt have known at all!Rather, Dolans was honest with me about the fact that nothing needed to be done at all, and charged me nothing! This is a very good, upstanding business, who I would highly recommend. Yes, It may be a bit of a wait to get an appointment with them, but it is very worth it.
