I thought moving during a pandemic was going to be logistics nightmare, but Keri and Ashley at BC Parker were amazing. They made the entire process smooth and easy. They were responsive to all of my questions, and kept me well informed of any issues, concerns, or changes that came up (not that there were many). They were always eager to help. I have done in-person leasing at other places with other people and none of them went this smoothly. They go above and beyond. I highly recommend using BC Parker.
Do not apply with them. They will give you the run around and they will show discrimination on the type of job you have. Waste of my time and money. Very disappointing
I have been working for BC Parker for many years with Kim, Brandon & the rest of their office staff and service team. They are always professional and courteous to our staff. Many times I have saw their interaction with New & Current residents at their properties and they are always eager to fix maintenance issues and go out of their way to make sure service orders are taken care of in a timely manner. I am attaching some photos of the standard they hold us to when we are doing Vendor work for them. I can tell that they want their residents to move in to their new home or apartment knowing everything is well cleaned, sanitized & maintained giving their residents a great move-in experience.
Absolutely love dealing with B.C. Parker! They took the pressure off of me finding a rental home and made it easy sailing. I’m in my new home and couldn’t be happier! Definitely recommend!
As someone who rented through them for a year, I had an absolutely amazing experience!! The employees were incredibly nice, helpful, and responsive regarding any issue or questions that were brought up. They truly made the process seamless!! I would highly recommend to anyone!!!

This company is perjudice I was rejected automatically before seeing the place that was just listed for one day and suddenly before a complete 24 hours it was no longer available!
Such an easy process!! We have been looking for the perfect place to rent for two months and we found this property through B.C. Parker and they made the entire process easy and stress free! The application was simple and the fee was cheaper than any other company we were looking at! I received a quick reply to all of my calls and questions. Everyone there was also very warm and welcoming, as I am a shy person, but they made me feel happy and important. Upon moving in I had a small concern and emailed the leasing agent because I didnt know who to contact yet and she resolved it that day and she wasnt even working! Thank you all at B.C. Parker, we are very happy!
Do not rent from this company. They charge for bogus issues. Left hangers in the closet and they charged for that. The blinds were messed up when I moved in and it was noted on the inspection and they tried to charge me $600 for those cheap plastic blinds. They kept my deposit then tried to charge and extra $900, I disputed it and they put a $250 charge on my credit report. Go rent from Forestdale, they are much better!
So fast, friendly and professional! From the application, to viewing the property, to all of my many questions. Everyone there was very nice, on top of everything, fast to respond to my questions or concerns and even checked up on us after the move!! I have not had an easier experience moving and doing business with a real estate company before! Thank you for a stress free move B.C. Parker!! We are very happy.
This place is an absolute joke. It was pulling teeth all year long to get any kind of correspondence from them when we had issues and to top it all of they took $525 out of my account for a JANUARY rent payment when my lease ended in DECEMBER. It is now January 23rd and I still have not been refunded my $525. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM unless you enjoy being jerked around and ignored.
Very unprofessional rental company. My mom applied for an apartment and paid the $50 application fee. After of week of no communication from the company. She called back to check the status of her application. The agent informed her that her application had not been ran but the apartment she applied for was already rented. So she said she would run the application and put it towards another property and assured me she would call my mom back. Fast forward a month later and no communication. My mom called back again and she still has not run the application. My mom requested my money back for her application fee, since they never ran through application. But, as you can guess no has called or emailed her back. She will definitely be filing a complaint with the necessary authorities. She paid for a service that was never rendered.
DO NOT PASS THIS UP!! THE PROCESS WAS VERY EASY AND THE STAFF WAS IS AND ARE VERY HELPFUL AND THE ROOMS ARE NICE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHOOSING THIS AS YOUR PLACE. Im new here and i look forward to spending time here and for all that time to be the BEST !!
We needed to find some one we could trust to manage our property and Brandy and the staff at B.C. Parker proved to be those folks. We were very appreciative of their willingness to provide an honest opinion and also their availability to answer questions as we prepared the house to rent. Since we were moving out of the country we needed to be sure that things were in good order and so far they have hit the mark.They found a qualified renter within the first month which really put our minds at ease, which is important when you are 7,000 miles away.

Giving them one star would be too kind. I have never felt so disrespected by a business in my life. After hearing our carbon monoxide alarm go off at 7 A.M. on a Friday, B.C. Parker received at least ten calls from us throughout the day urging them to get someone in there to check it out. We could have died from carbon monoxide poisoning due to their negligence. We resorted to calling the fire department, who could replace the battery, but could not get the beeping to stop - only B.C. Parker had the authority to do that. Its been three days and I still cannot sleep because of the beeping. B.C. Parker is a dangerous company and not to be trusted with the well being of students.
I would never recommend doing business with this organization. Mr. Parker is pompous, arrogant, rude and does not listen to concerns. He does not conduct himself in an upstanding, professional manner. Beware!!!!
As an out-of-state mom of a college student renting for the first time off-campus, I had many questions and concerns. BC Parker was put to the test when Maintenance had to be called on a Saturday for a small amount of water coming from the utility closet. Kim Gaither of Maintenance is superb! She ensured prompt service and resolution of the problem, and was very pleasant and patient with me.
Super nice and efficient staff to work with, great rental properties, maintenance staff always answered our needs. Great experience over two years.
I live in Indiana and bought a house in Elon for my daughter to use while attending the University. Once she completed her studies, I needed a way to rent my house. Being so far away, I decided to entrust B.C. Parker with handling everything necessary regarding my rental. I found everyone I interacted with at B.C. Parker to be extremely friendly and helpful from day one. I knew I had found the right company for the job during my very first phone call with them. The term Southern Hospitality rings true with this company and the people that work there. You can trust them to do the right things on your behalf.Thank you so much for all you did for me! BC Parker Real Estate has done everything I ask them to do. To date my experience has been they are very professional in their approach to Property Management. They keep me informed and my interaction with all their personnel has been extremely pleasant. I would recommend them to anyone contemplating turning their real estate assets over to a management company.
This is one of the worst property management companies Ive ever dealt with. They take forever to get a problem resolved and they expect your deposit upfront but when it comes time to get it back, they stall and dont return phone calls. They think of every way possible to keep your money. Dont deal with these crooks!!!
They will take your application fees knowing that they are not going to rent to you or have already rented the property. Pay attention to what others says. This woman literally processed my 50 dollar app fee knowing the apt was already rented and then gave me some Excuse about a denial but I know for a fact she rented or had that decision prior to processing my app fee. Moving is already stressful and expensive enough without being scammed out of app fees. Glad it didnt work out because I would never rent from such a company. A 1 star is too kind. Beware. Negative zero.
They Are Not A Good Management Company.I Have Never Seen Them On The Property.I Have Ask Them To Clean The Laundry Room Many Times, Its Still Not Clean. The Yard Gets Mowed But There Is Trash Everywhere. Ive Ask Them To Move Chairs That Are An Eye Sore Above My Walkway For Two Months, Nothing Yet. They Are Just Money Collectors.We Need Major Attention In Our Complex. I Dont Think They Are Competent For This Job.
These people are a JOKE! Trust me, DO NOT rent from them! Dont give them ANY of your money. Ive been renting from them for almost a year and today is day NINE without hot water in our unit. I contacted BC Parker (the 24 hour maintenance line, which is also a joke because they do nothing to help you and give you the same a work order has been made but no further information is given, I will ask for an ETA answer is given) about my water heater not working on Tuesday June 2nd. I told them that it smelled like gas in the closet where the heater was and they told me to just turn knobs to try and cut the gas off. First off, Im not messing with natural gas especially since I dont know what Im doing and the fact that its HIGHLY flammable. Not to mention I have my 3-year-old in the home with me and there are 11 other units in the building. They told me to hang up and call Piedmont Natural Gas. I called them immediately. They told us to exit the home immediately and wait for a technician to come out. We waited outside for 30 minutes. The tech came out and turned the gas off at the meter and at the tank and told me that there were multiple gas leaks on the line but with it being nighttime, they wouldnt be able to fix it then since theyre on call. I sent BC Parker an email explaining what they said, of course no answer. They sent someone from Kemco out the following day to check/repair the gas lines? Not sure why because they are an HVAC company. He told me they dont normally mess with gas lines but he tightened the lines for me and said there were no more leaks. He still couldnt get the pilot light lit. The following day was July 4th and apparently no one was open so that was day 2 without hot water. I called BC Parker (both Kim Gaithers line and the 24hr line) every single day to get someone to help me. Kim with BC Parker FINALLY emailed me on Friday, July 5th and said she was out of the office and was unable to answer my calls/emails. I think that the maintenance contact for a rental company should have access to her emails/calls no matter what?!?! I was TIRED of emailing so I called. I was sent to her voicemail and called AGAIN and told the front desk person that I needed to speak with someone because it has been ridiculous. They placed me on hold for 5 or so minutes. Kim finally answered and I explained that I needed someone to come out TODAY (the 5th) to get this fixed. She told me that they were ordering the burner assembly and it would probably be Monday before they could get out there. I told her that was unacceptable and they needed to replace the unit if thats the case. She LIED and told me that they would have to rip my AC out if they were going to replace the unit and that I could heat water up on the stove for my 3 year old to bathe. WRONG! The water heater works the heat, not the AC! (I work for a commercial plumbing company and they said that isnt hard to replace and it doesnt affect the AC but those units are expensive) I told her that they needed to take some money off of my rent due to the inconvenience and having to pay more on my electric bill to heat water on the stove and having to drive 20 minutes to my parents to shower AND having to miss work due to having to let PNG in to my unit. She said I would have to speak to the broker who of course was off until Monday. She said at least you have AC so its not an emergency. What a joke! Like I said, this is DAY NINE without hot water and Im very frustrated. Ive been living there almost a year without any complaints and Ive always paid my rent and this is how I get treated?! BY the way, not having hot water to wash myself, my daughter, my clothes or my dishes IS CONSIDERED AN EMERGENCY! This is the most negligent company Ive ever dealt with. I repeat, DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CARELESS PEOPLE!!!!

My daughter moved in to this four bedroom apartment with three of her college friends, in August of 2017. It had been painted and completely cleaned up. As parents we moved the girls in and helped them set it up completely. By the time we left the place looked beautiful. We were all very pleased. The monthly rent payment was deducted from my account as per the agreement. However, my daughter and two of the girls were going to study abroad for the spring semester, so they legally completely, BC Parkers psuedo sublet application for the apartment. Our deposit was returned to us and the new tenants submitted their own, at that point. The girl who remained behind and the new tenants turned out to be complete slobs! The three new tenants left in May, as did the original roommate. Since this is a college living situation, my daughter and her two roommates secured another person for the fourth room, and returned in August. OMG!!!!!!! We understood that the the apartment wasnt going to be freshly painted again, like the first move in, but what we walked into was something no one could have ever anticipated. The prior roommates had left garbage and rotting food on the floor of the kitchen. The refrigerator was dirty but basically emptied with the exception of a cup of rotting fruit. There was dirty dishes in and out of the sink, liquor bottles all over the place and a terrible insect infestation. The place was just a horror show. We called BC Parker immediately and complained. Mr.Parker was incredibly rude and condescending. He told me that that was how he thought we wanted it. I was shocked! I kept explaining; why would anyone want to live in a complete PIG STY? But he insisted that since it was a psuedo sublet situation, that when his team did the walk through they couldnt be sure that we didnt want the things that the old roommates left behind. Again I asked why I would ever want rotting food on the floor? Or in the Frig? He just kept insisting that he couldnt be sure. It was disgusting.....not just the apartment but his attitude was deplorable. I asked him what was the purpose of these girls giving you a deposit if you had no intention of ever using it? (He gave them back their deposit.) He yelled and screamed at me over the phone and then would tell me that his supervisor, Brandi would help me. I did ask for one months rent to be returned, for the month that the apartment sat there just smoldering in filth and rot! He insinuated that he would do it and then when I would speak to Brandi it was as if the conversation never happened. He is an extremely rude, chauvinistic person. I finally let it go because we had cleaned up the filth, scrubbed down the whole place and the maintenance men did bring in an exterminator to kill the insect infestation. However, that one small gesture will never take the bad taste out of my mouth. Mr. Parker was a terrible person to work with. And he could never truly explain how he could take a deposit from his tenants and then not use that to be sure that the place was left in livable conditions. Of course, he insisted that it was livable and I agreed if I were a roach, it would be fine but as a human that wasnt the case. Lastly we left the place in spotless condition to show Mr.Parker what decent humans should be required to do.Lastly I question all the five star reviews in the last year. We found out afterwards that this place does have a bad reputation, so Im not sure that those reveiws are really legit.
Great Company to rent from. Christy Donaldson and the staff are very attentive to maintaining the properties. They keep a close eye on the properties. And very professional. Would highly recommend them, and have, to anyone wanting to rent from an Honest Company. Christy is Amazing to deal with.

Office staff was a bit brusque, but they had keys ready and quickly available if you wanted to view a property. Service was fast and satisfactory in all needs.
Im a bit disappointed in B C Parker. I initially contacted them to assist with the rental of my home. I left a message for the associate that handles residential rentals and waited for a return call. After not receiving a call back after 48 hours I called again. I was told that she probably received my message but was busy in meetings that particular week and that I could leave another message or just wait for her to call back. I told them I would just wait for her to call back.The next day, around 1:00 I received a call back, I was coming back from lunch and asked her if she was in the office and if I could call her back in 5 minutes so I could put my stuff down. I called back within 5 minutes and the phone went to voicemail, so I left a message. About 10 or 15 minutes later, she returned my call. We spoke for a little bit about my situation, she said she would send me copies of the rental agreement (which she did) and that she would get back into contact with me about coming out to see the house. I told her it would have to be either a weekend or after 5:30 because thats when Im home from work. She said she needed to ask the owner if it was OK to come after hours. This was on November 14 and I have still not received a call back. I even sent a follow up email on November 19 and a reply was never received.With my experience so far, I cannot recommend this company. If im living in the state and they cant get back into contact with me, what am i to do if I live out of state and need to get in touch with them? In my opinion communication is key, and if they cant call back when they say they will I just cant trust them to rent my house.

We had our bathroom remodeled over the summer in our college apartment and it looks fantastic! They replaced bathtub, shower light, sheetrock, and flooring. It was a big task and the maintenance/plumbing staff were friendly and efficient
They always have great listing! The office is easy to get to and the agents are always friendly.
The worst customer service I have ever encountered. Rarely get back to their tenants about anything. Constantly put the work in the tenants hands. Horrible communication between departments. They are nice enough, but far from competent.

These girls couldnt figure out how to work email. They were very polite but really just incompetent and that affects my ability to find housing in a timely fashion. BC Parker is great...Direct deposit can be slow sometimes, but Christy Donaldson is very helpful and knowledgeable in real estate. My family and I plan to continue to use them for rental services in the future.
They have made my two years in my apartment Hell. They are totally incompetent and have no idea what they are doing. It took them 2 WEEKS to come fix our air conditioning after we asked them to 3 times. Also, their solution to fixing it was putting ice in our AC. NOT OKAY
We found BC Parker in 2013 and rented a big home and this year when our lease was up we needed to down size to a smaller house. So that being said we contacted Christy Donaldson and told her we needed to find something smaller and she was very helpful and said just look online and if you want to look at anything just let me know and I will get you the keys. So we did and we looked at 3 or 4 homes BC Parker had and everyone we went in was so nice and had a warm feeling, for example nicely painted, kitchens looked great, bathrooms very nice and the over all maintenance was great. So we did find the one that fit us the best and we are very happy with this home. We owe Christy Donaldson a very big Thank You for working so hard to help us get in the home we loved and for being patient with us as we asked for keys to look at some homes.Thank You Christy Donaldson for everything.Don H & Sharon S

The young lady at the front desk was not very friendly and was anything but helpful. Relocating is not easy, especially for someone who is not familiar with the town to which they are moving. A receptionist at a real estate business should not be annoyed when a customer asks questions about the area or for help with directions to a property. Courtesy is expected.This young ladys attitude discouraged me from any further transactions with BC Parker and I was obviously upset enough about the experience to write a negative review.
I cant count with fingers how many times BC Parker made living on rental property a living hell. Elon students, find a private property owner when looking for a house/ apt. BC Parker has a monopoly for the Burlington/ Elon market, meaning they do not care about you, just your money. Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and BC Parker will blame you for it. My first week, all of the sewage was backed up because the previous tenants cleaned with alcohol wipes (non-degradable) and flushed them down the toilet. Matter that was suppose to be exiting the toilet was entering through our shower drains. We were told to not flush anything but TP. This is the first of being blamed for many issues. Their accounting department cannot do math. After I left, BC Parker sent me a bill for minor damages, and exorbitant charges just for taking a few lousy things of trash to the curb-okay, fine. The truth of the matter is that they could have used my deposit for these charges, but they tried charging me for more money, and they were going to keep all of my deposit. I had to demonstrate elementary math to them so I got my money back. I also went a near two week span in July with NO AIR. Temps reaching 90+ and all BC Parker did was take off a mere $80 from my rent ($440ish). This was one of many heating and air issues. Each subsequent issue was blamed on me for filter issues, when in reality the entire AC system was, and had been, shot and needed replacing. The fridge was from the 90s and leaked water all the time, spoiling groceries time and again. Food is expensive. How did they compensate? They told me to firmly shut the fridge door, and sent a guy to vacuum up the water each time it happened. I had ant and spider infestations. This again, was my fault. It has nothing to do with the property being built atop a swamp. Stay away! Live on campus or somewhere not managed by a bunch of incompetent half-wits. The contrast between the rental property where I now live and where I lived in Elon is incomprehensible. Ive been out of Elon for a year now and havent had a single issue with my current rental property. It is mind boggling. I waited to write this review because I dont want one to think I did this right after I left, when emotions were high. I want the Summer and Fall crop of Elon students who are property searching to be well-informed. Oh, and this was just one of two BC Parker properties I stayed at...but I think you get the gist.

I have lived in BC parker apartments for two years now... unfortunately. They are terrible at emailing and fixing things and they seem inconvenienced by reasonable complaints.
Very disappointing-- after months of follow up on a simple request, there has been a lack of response and matter still remains unresolved.
I have only ever rented through one reality company & unfortunately it was this one . Mr. Parker his self was very very rude to me . I have not recommended this company to anyone .
