TOP COAT NAILS SALONRUDE!!! Zero communication. When I arrived make me waited 30min, I was waiting even though I had made an appointment. The technician NEVER said Hi.TECHNICIAN DOES NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO.* She cut me multiple times.* She act like nothing happend.* Painfull service.* I have glue all over my fingers.* Messy all around.****** IT REALLY TAKE 3 HRS DO A JOB THE IS NOT EVEN RIGHT.Just all around lack of service, respect and cleanliness, Im not HAPPY with her service. I will not return.

This nail shop completely packs the establishment with customers! Do not come to this nail shop if you don’t have at least three hours to spend getting a full set and regular pedicure! They are very slow, and the customer service is below satisfactory. The employees do not seem to like African American customers! Average quality of work provided, and nothing stands out about this over packed slow nail shop.

I moved to Burien 2 months ago and really really wanted to love this place but I can’t. This was my third time going and they’ve been significantly late with service all three times.I arrived for my 5pm scheduled pedicure appointment (that I called and scheduled days ago) and after waiting a full hour and 15 minutes, just left there with a terrible pedicure. My 5pm scheduled appointment didn’t start until 6:15pm and it’s now 7:24pm. Unacceptable on all fronts.This is the first time I’ve written a bad Yelp review and hope either they get their stuff together in the service department or at least this review helps someone else looking for a nice and timely pedicure because Top Coat Nails is not that place. I’ll be checking out other salons in the area.

My tech is wonderful, caring, and attentive. She always remembers me and always makes sure Im content. The staff is very friendly. Please, check them out next time youre walking by!

Best manicure in the area, showed them a picture and did it exactly the same !! Super natural and classy!! And everything was great, they where really nice.

RUDE!!! Zero communication. I arrived on a Monday evening excited to try this place as I have just moved to the area.when I arrived I was stared at by each employee and received no greeting. I waited 30min, not bad. I heard others complaining they were waiting even though they had made an appointment. Selecting color is challenging due to lack of access to wall or books. The technician I received never said hi. She immediately took an already used dramel head to my nail without asking. I had to rip my hand away from her twice and repeat I wanted them soaked off instead. Just all around lack of service, respect and cleanliness. Will not return.

This place is my go-to place for both manicures and pedicures! They are very meticulous, going there my nails have never chipped and always look amazing.

Ive been going here for a couple years.. Always loved coming but always wondered why I would make appointment and walk-ins would be accepted and worked on in the spot of your appointment. Today I had appointment at 230 with my daughter. They start working on my daughter and Im waiting . The girl comes take polish off of 2 of my nails. Walks off to start at 3:00 appointment that came in early. I sit for 45 mins waiting. My daughter is getting her nails painted at this point. So what now my daughter is supposed to wait for 45 mins while I get my nails done? No. I made appointment at 230 with my daughter to get nails done together. Not at separate times. Wow. Come on Heidi... This isnt how you run business if you take appointments. There should be however many technicians available for however many appointments were scheduled. If not dont take appointments. Just do walk-ins.

This place has gone bad over the last few years. They used to do a good mani/pedi but now have more of a turn and burn mentality. They barely scrub your feet or remove calluses, I had to ask for the jets to be turned on in the basin, they cut my fingernail cuticles dry. You tell yourself its fine because the polish is pretty. The last 2 times Ive been, my gel polish (which should last 10-14 days) chips in 1-3. I used to tip 20%, now I make myself tip 10%. Take my advice, find another salon.

Loved the nail technician that did my nails! I called in half hour before closing and she squeezed me in for a fill. I have been going to the same nail shop for over 5 years and when I was finishing up at Top Coat Nails I was definitely considering switching nail shops. I loved how she did my nails and was supper friendly and nice, she made me feel welcomed and took her time to do my nails exactly how I wanted them. Thank you. I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at here. And the whole team does a great job taking care of you. All are extremely professional. I like that they offer choices of nail care and design across the board. If you are looking for bold designs, theyll have it. Basic and subtle designs-- they also have it for you. I love this salon. If you havent, give it a try!

Came in Monday evening for a mani and full set, off top she was doing a sloppy job I kept complaining and correcting her, she rushed through the mani and and nail filing and my nails are all different shapes, $62 was spent for a job that could been Executed better by myself who is unlicensed an untrained, I will be calling the manager today for a reason why my nails are lifted less than a week later

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would!! Don’t ever come here, we had scheduled appointments just to come in and still had to wait. They ignored us and eventually told us to keep waiting. They were very rude and disrespectful. Super unprofessional and horrible time management. Worst experience I’ve ever had!! Save your time and money!

Went here for the fist time today, walked in and had the best pedicure! The staff are professional and kind, overall a really great experience. The nail salon is clean and comfortable, definitely made the experience relaxing. This is a five minute walk from my apartment and a great price. I will definitely be back!!

Very sanitary and pleasant atmosphere. I had gel polish manicure and a regular pedicure. A great job on both, my gel lasted over 2 weeks and my pedicure is still going strong. My nail tech even added a cute flower detail to my pedicure. I will be returning here, as cleanliness is very important to me and they seemed to take it seriously.

I have to say I am a little disappointed.. I want to like this salon because my FIRST visit was really good, had an appt, was seen on time, nails were cute. The salon appears very clean and most techs are nice.But the past 3 times Ive been here, 1 appt I still had to wait 30 mins, and the next, I was told to come for a same day appt at 5:30 and wasnt seen until 6:45... over an hour. The techs pretty much ignored me the entire time, and my nails were rushed and obviously also LOOK rushed. I will probably give them one more chance, I will try to come on a slow day..

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I got a full set today and the lady took her time and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The whole place was filled with positive energy and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!

If I could give them no stars I would, especially Heidi. Today was my last day coming to Top Coat Nails. I called at 3:30 to see how long the wait was for a full set and was told to come in at 4. I literally just got out and almost 6:15. On top of that I was sitting there with foil on my hands for almost a whole hour. To make things worse Heidi the manager cut my finger pretty deep. I left the salon with acrylic residue all over my cuticles. I paid $40 dollars for a mediocre full set, a bloody finger, and wasted 2 hours of my day.

I love this nail salon! I stumbled upon this salon when I was looking for places needed to fix a botched manicure from another salon and take care of my toenails my pedicure. And now have been visiting this place regularly and each time I have loved the way they have done my nails. Fine work and excellent service, love this place and strongly recommend it to everyone!

When in and got a full set and pedicure. The pedi was amazing i loved it. Unfortunately i cant say the same for my full set they were left way to thick and lumpy. I like they way she cut the shape but as soon as she applied tue acrylic i knew i was going to like it i did mention to her that they were to thick for my liking bit sh proceeded to do it how she wanted other then that she was very friendly and the place was very clean

This place was a joke, I just left and cant believe i paid for them to mess my nails up this bad. They were extremely unprofessional and when they didnt have a gel nail polish I wanted she had a fit and didnt even bother doing my nails well. I will now have to go somewhere else to fix this mess. I will never set foot in this place again.

I’ve been going to Top Coat Nails since it was called Queen Nails - I’m a loyal customer of 12 years! Even when I didn’t live near by, I would drive to them. Anna is the absolute best. These women all work hard and care about the work that they do. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ahead of time!! You will NOT be disappointed. I refuse to go anywhere else for my nails. They keep up with current trends and they are affordable. So worth it!

This is my new favorite spot for acrylic nails. The staff are awesome. I came in three weeks ago for these fun nails for my birthday and they still look as good as the first day. Going back today for a fill!

The owner is nice, and personable. She is amazing, perfectionist, and definitely the best doing acrylic, and nail design. As far as pedicure, Tracy is the best at making sure your feet are soft, and well done. Overall, the staff are nice, and will try to do their best. 5 stars from me!

I will definitely be going back! Very reasonably priced. I got a gel full set and a basic pedicure and paid $55. Basic pedicure is really misleading because they scrub the dead skin, exfoliate and massage. My feet look and feel great! And the massage chair is bomb! I tried a new nail shape after seeing my nail techs hands. I am very pleased and the hand massage was a great bonus!

They always do my nails, Toes and eyebrows amazing . But i decided recently to get my lashes done for the first time ever and as soon as i left the shop they were coming out and in a matter of 3 Days i Needed new lashes they charged me 50$ for a fill and said i wasn’t taking care of themProperly ... Here it is not even another week later and almost ALL of my lashes are gone after i spent almost 200 oh i will not be going back there forLashes EVER again

I had high Hopes for top coat nails salon I got a recommendation from my roommate and I was looking to get my nails and eyebrows done for a wedding/my birthday.... so I called the salon to make an appointment for later on in the evening they said no problem, when I arrived I was met with an unfriendly response from the receptionist she asked me what do I want I said Im here for an appointment she said ok look through these nail books and wait so I sat and found the color I wanted but I noticed people coming in after me were being serviced with no Appointments so by the 4th person they took and me sitting there for almost an hour I was getting ready to leave when someone who had been walking around the salon not attending to clients reluctantly took me to do my nails she finished pretty quickly and then asked me to pay I said I still havent gotten my eyebrows waxed yet she sighed and rolled her eyes we busy I said I understand but when I called to make my appointment they didnt tell me that I would be to have a service done because they were busy so she roll a chair out into the hallway right outside the waxing room right next to the bathroom she waxes me I pay and I left not even a week later my nails came off....needless to say I will not be back.

I went in with two other ladies to get our nails done just a half hour before they closed the other day and they were so nice and very fun to hang out with and we were there well after closing time.ANNA did a gel manicure for me and I was very pleased, she did a great job and it was a great price too. Overall Im glad I tried a new place and I will definitely be going back.

This is my go to place to get get my nails done. I have my favorites of course but all the girls are busy. Good idea to make an appointment. Walk in are welcome but you may have to wait. Reasonably priced. They do from simple to elaborate.

I went in here on a whim because they are right next to my grocery store. Got a pedicure and was rushed off the chair “you done, you okay, go.” The polish they used on my feet never dried off and smeared when I went to bed. I called and was told to go in for a fix. When I got there they were not friendly and never once said hello. Like the fool I am I thought I could make the situation better by getting a manicure while they fixed my pedicure (two stars because they did fix it). It is 6 hours later, I have done nothing to cause this and my manicure has already chipped off. While I was there no one spoke to me other than “sit there” and “go pick color” and I felt uncomfortable through the whole thing. Any conversation that took place was initiated by me and I eventually quit. While leaving I said bye and thank you, twice, no one responded. This is not a relaxing or friendly environment and their work is average. This is my experience, you may have a different one and individually they are probably great people. Just don’t go in here expecting a “spa” experience or friendly staff.

Ive been coming here for the past year with mixed results, but after today I will never come back again. I came in with my daughter for a girls day. We both wanted shellac manicures. The tech who did my nails was very rough with me, but my nails turned out alright.My daughters nails were a different story. The tech cut the cuticles on one of her thumbs so badly that it bled in 2 places. My daughter is 12 years old and shy and didnt feel comfortable telling me what had happened before we left for lunch but as soon as I saw, we went back and I showed the supposed manager my daughters cuts and asked for a refund just for that service. Not only did that manager refuse to give me a refund on the service that INJURED my daughter, she blamed my daughter for her injuries. Theyve lost my business for good and I will be telling as many people as I can about their terrible customer service. This is not how you run a business. Take responsibility for your mistakes.

I have been going to Top Coat since they opened their new location in Burien about a year ago. The place is absolutely beautiful and stunning! Very modern and chic. The staff is amazing and very nice! Especially the owner! She is such a sweetheart. The ladies all know me and my sisters as we go in for frequent pedicures. I recently started to get shellac manicures and I am very impressed! They take their time on your nails and make sure you love them! I love this salon and will never get my nails done elsewhere! Check them out, I promise you wont be disappointed!

Love this place! I drive from Rainer beach to burien just to see these ladies! Their powder isnt cheap, so your nails last! I due hair for a living and never have water damage.. well worth every penny.. and the prices are great!

I switched to Linda. Shes awesome and super sweet. No issues with gel chipping and as long as I have an appointment theres no wait. Call the day before to make an appointment!

Do not let Anna do your nails. On Valentines day I had a Mani pedi. This place is usually quick, efficient, and they do a good job. However, I had a woman who did my manicure who cut my ring finger while trying to cut my cuticles. I then realized it was the same woman who cut my toe a year ago when I was there for a pedicure, and I told her so. She was surprised I remembered, but I told her you dont forget someone who cuts you! It was a deep cut both times. I asked for the manager this time who apologized, and then only offered $5 off. Wow, the manicure should have been free! I am more than disappointed. Make sure you do not have Anna doing your Mani/Pedis at this salon, you will be disappointed!

Over the years the quality has gone down at Top coat nails, ever since Holly took over, she has terminated the long time employees, hired others that dont mind working with cheap products, in a dirty run down salon. Sadly I had my last service done on Valentines Day, in less than 2 hours 2 of my pink and whites had broken, plus yellowed immediately( I tipped Kayla 30$ in honor of Lunar New Year), when I went in to have them repaired it was a debacle. I will not return.

When a lady named Cindy use to work there I was a loyal customer, she recently left and I tried to give other ladies a chance but they let me down. The older lady that does pedicures is super rude, very poor customer service. She was super loud when speaking to the other technician right next to her in their language. I asked for a color and she said she didnt have it, when she asked me to pick a different color, she got upset that it took me about 10 seconds to pick something, so she screamed and demanded that I pick a color, when clearly I was doing so. Heidi the owner is great and Cindy was amazing too, but now I will not be returning.Edit: after trying out other places, I just decided to go back. Now I have found that Anna is your best bet for acryclis. She has became a friend of mine and I enjoy having conversations with her when I come in. You can tell she is very professional and knows what shes doing! My mom absolutely loves getting her toes and waxing done with Stacy (not me, I had a bad experience with her). And I really like it when Kayla does my toes, she does what I ask, not what she wants! Highly recommend Kayla for pedis, and Anna for everything!

I have been to countless mani/pedi places in WA over the years and this was a first!!! This was my first time at Boniva after reading the excellent reviews from other customers.I truly think Top Coat is one of the best nail salons in WA . . . . the staff is extremely professional, courteous and thoughtful. Linda is the best manicurist Ive ever found and her attention to detail and hard work is emulated by everyone.The salon is clean, comfortable and relaxing - and your nails will look great!It was very refreshing to be greeted when I arrived and offered a bottle of water and a cookie as has never happened to me before.The gel manicure I had was fantastic and the only suggestion I would make is to have the hand massage be at least an additional minute per hand (Im comparing this to other nail salons I have visited). They are so sweet, you can tell they care about the customer and it was a wonderful experience.This will be my future place for gel manicures.

I wanted an ombré color and I’ve got them good before at a different place and when I got them done today here I had the worst experience they didn’t even do it right the powder had glitter which the end result was not even cute and the same of the nails weren’t the same. And they charged me a lot honestly for the wait and for not getting what I wanted I’m not ever coming back!

I watched a hard working mother get a pedi and fell asleep on the chair and all the employees laughed and pointed at her. When she woke up they laughed some more made her feel uncomfortable. I felt so angry that we as women can fall so low. We all work hard come home take care of children and then to fall to laughing at each other. I am a long time customer but after this I have never returned. Disgusted.

I got a pedicure here recently, I loved it. I would give it a 5 stars but the ladies were really talkative and it was awkward after a while hearing them talking to each other while I sat there and stared at my phone. Their technicians do a great job though, Ive seen some great nails come from here.

Today I went in to get one nail fixed, a client came in and wanted to be done right now and said she had an appointment scheduled. She became very angry because the nail artist was finishing my one nail repair, stormed out of the store stating that she was going to give bad reviews on this website. This particular client called the salon just after leaving at which point the salon owner tried to reach out and apologize to her for the misunderstanding and ask her to come back. I have had nothing but good experiences here, everyone is nice, they always greet you with a smile.

I went to this salon for a mani-pedi and was very disappointed. The staff was rude and not communicative. The girl who did my manicure just wanted to get me out of the way so she could go in the back and eat and chat with her friends in Vietnamese. When I didn’t choose the most expensive package, she rushed through the whole thing. They seem hostile or something, strange. Gave them a 2 Star, because I liked the color nail polish.

Just okay. I went in for a fill and the lady that did my nails was not very pleasant. Right in the middle of doing my nails she stopped and started texting. I had to ask her if she could do that later and finish my nails. Then she was having a very loud conversation in her language with a co-worker that was 3 stations behind me. She left white residue from the acrylic all over my fingers. Not professional. I will not be returning.

From beginning to end my experience was disappointing. I was left sitting in the waiting area despite many employees being available. I requested very short acrylic nails... they are too long, they look botched (they are very rough, super thick, the whites are way too big, very cartoony) and my cuticles were not pushed back or trimmed so now, a week later, I need a fill. Also, she cut me.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place is really close to my house so I have given them multiple chances to impress me or atleast do what I ask. The final straw was when I went in yesterday for an eyebrow wax. They broke all the capillaries under my eyebrow and I now have two three millimeter cuts under my eyebrows where they ripped my skin off. She also did not do what I asked and waxed my eyebrows unevenly and way to thin. On other days I have gone into there to get my nails done. They constantly tried to push me to spend more, they messed up my nails multiple times, they constantly changed their prices even though they are on the board. Dont do here, I cant stress enough how much you shouldnt spend your money here.

Ive gone there for 3 years. Always a great job. No other nail salon in Burien compares.

Disrespectful, I brought my boyfriend with me and we both got pedicures, the women who were doing our nails asked if we were together and after I said yes they said he was really cute, and continuously talked about him after they had winked at each other. Not professional at all, and won’t be back.
