I have been to 4 salons so far in the area - trying to find a GOOD regular spot - and i think this may be it. My fiance made me an appointment. A young woman by the name of Monty was able to help me. She did an amazing job. My nails are the right shape, she knew what the word SHORT means. She was gentle, but fantastic. She is fluent in English, there were no language barriers or concerns. The prices were decent. It was 17$ for a fill. They even have airbrush here... no one does that anymore. The decor needs some work, but didnt bother me any. I am so happy that i found a great place. FINALLY!!!!THANK YOU MONTY!!!! you will be seeing me a lot.

My nails are terrible! I just got my nails done a week ago, but wanted to have fresh nails for a vacation. My regular spot was busy so I figured I would try this place. What a mistake. My nails are all different shapes. I asked for square, not one is square. I asked her not to take off length and now theyre super short. She was heavy handed with the grinder and hurt me several times. My nails are thick and look like bubbles. I wasted $40 on a fill here. I so unhappy with the outcome. Dont go here!

I had gotten new acrylics at another salon and they were awful, super thick acrylic, the tips werent completely attached to my actual nail and within the 2 days I had them they started lifting farther. I came in today hoping for something better and Mary was amazing! She helped me get them off gently and redid my full set so much thinner and with so much more attention. I ended up getting colored acrylic tips and they look so amazing. Im going back as soon as I need my fill! Thank you Mary!

Monty and Mary are great. However, the other lady who did my nails should stick to feet. She was rushing through my nails. Not looking at them while filing them. They are different shapes. She was going so fast my nail was hot and burning. The file cut my skin. I had to tell her to fill in one of my nails completly, to fix this one and that one. Mary was taking her time with each nail with her client and the lady doing my nails seemed like she was in a race. If she didnt have time to do my nails, she shouldve told me. Im not having her touch my nails again, if I go back.

I get my nails done by Mary and would never go to anyone else. She pays so much attention to detail and does really fun nail art. My nails have never broken from here either.

Friendly staff, not enough color variety. Could be cleaner/more organized inside. Also staff should work more on regular polish color application, shellac/gel polish application was great! Very personable staff, greatly appreciated.

I have been going to Star Nails for years and have always been very satisfied. My nails always look beautiful and I love the pedicures. I highly recommend Star Nails to everyone.

My grandma came here for YEARS and then me having a good 13 year run getting pampered here...since I was was 16 Im 29 now lol and then of course my mom shall be another one who made it her shop when she moved back here and I do not blame her just because...well, I LOVE this place shed good and picky which is good because the best stylists most of the time are PICKY lol. If Id spend my cash getting my nails done, Id choose STAR NAILS...very few businesses can keep me satisfied for a long period of time like this...so on that, Congrats for that Star Nails you kept my satisfied and even ENOUGH for to swing by TODAY get some claws put on these LION PAWS lol

Mary and Monty are the best, probably the only nail salon in Burien with the same owners over 20 years.

Great décor, updated. Very friendly staff. I went there for 15 years until I moved to Texas and I havent found another nail salon as good or that speak English in front of the customers out of respect. We had a death in the family and they stayed opened until midnight to do all of our nails before we left for the funeral, that was in 2000, its almost 2015 and we have never forgot that gesture and they also refused our tips and told us to use the money for our trip.

All of them do a great job on my feet. I have been coming here for years.
