With the local 24-hour closed, this place is well utilized.. (over utilized). The staff is not doing a great job managing the people that dont want to wear their mask correctly (for the protection of others).

Not too crowded, staff is always friendly and the equipment is always clean. They also have a staff member going around wiping down machines.

Started at the Renton Location and migrated here! I love the front desk staff, trainers and the kids club team. I feel safe, appreciated, and welcomed every time! Overall good cleanliness of equipment, well stocked sani bottles, and if machines arent working they have signs!!

Its ok-ish ... generally they just float along and its par for the course with LA Fitness or at least the way they run (rather dont run) this location.one major thing with this location is they dont have anyone working the floor ... putting away plates or barbells which usually present a tripping hazard. also the floor person can help remind people to do basic cleanup after themselves which is pretty bad at this location ... hence tripping hazards most of the time.

Dont lock your bike to the bike rack outside. Some people come by regularly to cut the bike locks and steal bikes from this location (as mine was). The gym staff is friendly, but they wont tell you about the theft situation until it happens to you personally. They know about it. Overall, they dont take responsibility for your personal items, and you have to sign a form for this when you sign up with a membership.As far as the gym itself, theres not enough equipment to facilitate the customers. I have to wait in line to use the equipment at least twice per workout session. Takes weeks for them to repair broken equipment.

We have been going to this gym since the first day it open. Today we got here to the gym at 7:20pm on a Sarturday. The gym suppose to be closed at 8pm. We got here at 7:20 coz we wanted to do some quick cardio and the gym is closed. There was people inside but they closed the entrance door so people don’t go in. We waited for somebody to come out so we can get in. Once we got in, we asked them why they closed the door so early? The front desk person told us coz we closing in 40mins. Since when do they closed the door 40mins early? We never come to this gym and they closed the entrance 40mins early. These new people need to be train more and not be lazy. We pay our gym monthly so we can come to the gym until its closed not for these lazy employees to closed it early just becoz.

Friendly staff, very clean facilities. All of the equipment is very well maintained and modern. I am used to LA Fitness locations in Tampa, Florida where the average age of the clientele is approximately 30 years of age, on any given day, at any given time.I only visited this gym one time on a Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m., before heading to the airport. The average age of the gym goers here was approximately late forties to early fifties.

Great Gym. They try there best to keep it clean. They have a great team thats always there cleaning. They need more gym equipment though for the fact that alot of people go.

The team at metro run a stellar team and do an excellent job at teaching athletes to push beyond what they think is possible. Creating mentally and physically tough individuals, which is exactly what I want for my children.

I finally convinced a friend to meet at the gum for some racquetball. He had to commute from N-Seattle and I had to drive from Tacoma to meet in Burien. I called the day before to reserve a court, as I had done countless times before. Upon arrival, we were treated extremely un-professional and it all went side ways from there.Julian (The GM) instead of treating us with respect and some common curtesy, began to hard sell him. Our intent was for my friend to try out the gym, get a feel for it and most likely join since we have a corporate membership through our company BUT instead, we got harassed by an arrogant A.Hole. They lost a perspective member and I cancelled my membership as well.

Great service, try and help where they can, also love there attitudes, people that seem hungry for buisness and happy to satisfy costumers

Good and new equipment. They give you a disinfectant bottle to take with you while you work-out. High ceilings with large fans. Take temp at door and ask you to wear a mask while walking from station to station, but mask optional-- still not sure how I feel about that policy. Everyone keeps social distance. Polite and professional staff.

When Covid first started and LA Fitness closed down I was charged a full month that they were closed, which I was never repaid for. Then, upon opening a few days ago I was charged $10 I’m assuming since it isn’t a full month of being open. Two days later I was charged 2 separate charges of my full month payment of $45. So a total of $100 I was charged for now being open 7 days. I tried calling but it just continues ringing. This is unacceptable, specially during a crisis where every dollar counts. I am canceling my membership immediately and won’t ever bring business to LA Fitness again.

I spent fifteen minutes on hold to ask a question at this gym. Definitely glad I chose the West Seattle gym over this one.

Signed my wife up for a personal trainer, and there making me pay out the rest of the yr for the personal trainer even though there day care is not open to watch the kids while she works out. I understand the membership fees but the personal trainer should not be charged if we can not receive the services that were advertised. Fully understand why we cant have child care but dont make us pay for a service we cant use.

I would personally put this at zero stars but it won’t allow it. Prior to covid and the shutdown last year, my family and I signed up for membership. They suggested a free day with the fitness trainer which was fine since we were new to the gym and thought it would be a way to know more about it. My daughter thankfully caught on to it but my son didn’t and ended up signing up for it. Covid and shutdown happened, my family ended up with covid and my son lost his job. They played the run around saying they froze the fitness trainer and well that was a lie coz they have tried and was successful in withdrawing the $ from my son’s account. Went to the gym and explained the situation - again a promised that account will be frozen but guess what??? They just attempted to withdraw again except there’s no money in there. So my son went to the gym again to follow up and was told that they will add a “note” to his account. The guy who works at the front desk even said he doesn’t understand why the corporate is still pursuing considering we have made multiple request to get this frozen or forgiven since we are in a pandemic. Highly disappointed with LA Fitness and will not recommend them. EVER. Yeah, I may have to do a pay-out just to get out of this obligation but definitely beware before signing up with them.

Would give ZERO if I could. Horrible in every way. Run away, not to, this gym.

I come here a lot because its close to where I live and the weights are easy to get to. Some new guys power trip sometimes but all in all a good gym to shoot hoops or get your lift on. Pool, Sauna and hot tub are good.

Might be OK if you just assume their staff will lie to you and just tell you what you want to hear to make a membership sale. If you have questions about this place and expect an honest answer, just save yourself the time and hassle and go somewhere else.

I went there to get information about the place, this hispanic dude was drastically very rude. I did walk away from that place.The GYM looks good, but customer service is very poor. Not professional at all.

La Fitness is amazing. Ive been a member since its beginning in 2008. I use the pool and from time to time the exercise machines. Everybody is exuding pheromones into the atmosphere. Gives me extreme faith in humanity. Gotta love LA Fitness 🤗

Gyms are finally open again but if you want to run I would not go to the gym yet. They are still expecting you to wear a mask while running which is extremely dangerous. Stick to weights until they remove this restriction.

Marcus Washington Is capable of handling great stress with utmost ease and coming up with solutions that are out-of-the-box.Even in the most stressful situations, he never loses his cool and handles problems without any kind of assistance at all.His attitude towards his workplace and his relationships with colleagues are extremely professional without being cold or unapproachable.Always stays ahead of the game by gathering information that will allow him to meet the demands that the market places on the company.Is proactive about developing relationships with people who would be beneficial to the working of the company.

Its all you really need for basic working out. I do wish they had more amenities and variety of classes. I would personally like some Pilates classes as well as a dry sauna in addition to the wet sauna.Also its not the most pristine space. A number of the equipment is a little worn, and its pretty basic on the inside.But the customers mind their own business and everybody just works out.

Huge gym, currently experiencing covid rules

The gym over the last couple of years has been okay for the most part. The equipment is clean and displayed very effectively as well. Remember to take all your belongings with you/on you while working out and to lock your doors, there has been a couple of break ins of vehicles and lockers within the locker rooms.

It is very embarrassing

The customer service at this gym is awesome! Theres a new guy working the front desk that is the best yet. I am glad to see theyre taking it up a notch finally with Abraham. I had an issue to address with management today and was more than pleasantly surprised with how well they handled it and how efficiently. I have been a member for years and glad to see the positive changes happening.

LA Fitness was great I had a great workout looking forward to my next workout

The dirtiest bathroom, LA Fitness make too much money not to hired people who can clean the mens locker room and bathroom. the men`s restroom are so dirty. I will be emailing the corporation. Clean the bathroom.

Disappointing to see many members are blatantly defying face mask orders, no attempt in wearing them. These members just take it off and workout as if they have health insurance to cover the cost of Covid-19 complications. The staffs are not enforcing the orders at all too. Might consider going to a different gym instead.

I love that they have up to date machines here but in the evenings there can be a looong wait for popular machines. A lot people work out in groups here, so sharing equipment can be frustrating sometimes. The sauna has been consistently working and thats a plus. Ive been to other LA FITNESS centers and the mens sauna was out of order for longer than a month.

The kids club staff is the best! Jesse and Monica are always so great with my kids. They always look forward to coming to play at the gym. I do wish the cleanliness of the facility was as great as they are. The rest of the gym staff seem a bit snobby though.

I go regularly to this gym and us the Kids Club for my 2 year old son...they are so great! Just did my free hour session with Trainer Marcus...and he was the best!! No pressure on signing up tons of free information and now i wanna sign up for more!

I love LA Fitness Burien! Rebecca is an amazing trainer and has been great in helping me reach my fitness goals! At 62 I am in better shape than I was 20 years ago. Great club, terrific staff. 👍👍👍

I love LA Fitness. The only thing i would say is my eyes burn from all the chlorine in the hot tub. Other than that I really enjoy working out here.

I love the equipment and services that are provided but I am extremely disappointment in the level of professionalism displayed by the front reception employees. It seems to be the norm/culture for the front reception employees to be on their phone on their shifts. I have checked in several times now and have not once got a Welcome to LA, Have a great work, Good morning! etc. Sometimes I will get a quick smile and then back to their cell phones. I have seen this from 3-4 different employees now. In the last 3 weeks, I have only had one positive/joyful interaction. I write this review so that management can review/go over expectations with all their employees because I cannot imagine that this is actually allowed. My kids go here and I do not want them getting the slightest idea that the workplace allows this type of behavior and lack of effort.

I go 3x/week - staff is friendly and so far all the patrons are respectful. All fitness machines are clean and maintained and plenty of options for weight training. Overall a good local gym that has a pool and hot room.

Id have to start with the positives. This place is in a great location for my family and I, really nice staff however they bugged me with phone calls to try and sign up when I wasnt sure about membership at the time. I did eventually sign up under my spouse with a good deal they they had. However they talk highly of their pool and I am a lap swimmer and I must say I was completely disgusted by it. It looks nice from far away but when I went for a swim it was gross. First they dont have a towel service? What gym doesnt have a towel service? Especially a large chain like LA fitness. Even the YMCA (non profit) has their own towel service. I had to leave the gym to purchase a towel and return before I could swim. The locker room seemed nice and clean but the pool water smelled sour and there was floating hair I kept swimming into. The floor of the pool seemed dirty. The pool is in need or routine cleaning. However I am sticking with my membership because of location price and it apparently works well with my spouse.

The facility itself is adequate, but the crowd is terrible. Groups tying up pieces of equipment for long periods of time, weights left scattered about, music played over Bluetooth speakers, people reserving equipment they aren’t actually using....I could go on.This gym will do in a pinch, but I would plan on your workout taking twice as long as it should.

Definitely the worst LA Fitness Ive ever been to. Most of the time it is dirty inside and machines are not maintained well. The staff is rude and inattentive.Gym locker rooms are never fun, but this one is beyond disgusting. Unfortunate that there are so few gyms in this area that are well run.

I had my share of non-disclosure about what I actually bought, no one answering my written inquiry about the non-disclosure, mistakes in scheduling, and trainer no-show. Basically, sales are a bit deceiving, and administration is terrible. The trainers were good though. I am so glad I moved away.

They open late on weekends often...its hard enough going for me on the weekends. Now I have to wait to use the gym I pay for?6. The weekend front desk staff is getting better at greetings.

Very disrespectful staff

Went in for an after holiday workout around 9 pm on 12/28. 5 young adults hanging at front desk. One sitting on counter. Another girl speaking very loudly dropping f-bombs every other word. This is a business, and I don’t think this kind of behavior is a good reflection on this gym. I am pretty certain only one of the individuals works at LA Fitness, yet they were all behind the desk. This gym gets the job done, but this type of behavior definitely makes me question why I decide to spend my money here.

Cool gym, just very overcrowded. Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t feel comfortable around men and young teenagers staring at you while you work out. They should extend the gym by using the empty old staples store right next to them.

I used to love going here, but there was jus way too many hidden fees they dont tell u about.

The gym is great and so is the staff. Just wish it was better layed out when they built the gym should have been a multi layer location with how busy it always is. Hopefully the company will expand their hours though to grow more business in and spread out their clients available time.

1. NO PRIVACY! This L.A Fitness cant even afford a single shower curtain? 2. Other L.A Fitness locations has dumbbells up to 125lbs, Burien only up to 100lbs.. I changed from 2stars => 4 stars because they do care for their clients, they did have the shower curtains after I mentioned as 1 of the flaws.Thank you L.A! On the side note:: Dont be a douchebag, put the weights back properly where they belong when youre done!

The gym is ok but very dirty and smells bad. Paying $35 a month should be enough for decently clean place but apparently not.

Great for swimming laps. It has a nice jacuzzi. The saunas are in the dressing rooms. Lots of exercise equipment, and indoor basketball court.

Overcrowded all the time. Literally all the time. Good luck getting a rack.

Its a good gym, but they neglect the bathrooms which isnt something Ive seen at other gyms. Often there is no toilet paper or seat covers and some of the toilets even leak. Its just nasty if they improved this it would be at 4-5 star worthy gym.

Good LA Fitness with an amazing spinning class. The prices are a little high, but the gym offers amazing service and everything is clean and in working condition.

Its a good gym to work out in the other pool. However if you want to cancel your membership for theyre very hard to deal with and do not understand and try to make you pay for 2 months and push the cancellation date out. Also wants the charge of the enrollment fees and get you hooked they dont call her follow-up or ask you how youre doing or checking with you at all. I think theyre just hungry for money and thats about it.

Staff is always just sitting on the counter at the front like it’s a hang out club for them only. They are always eating chicken wings or chips and don’t even put them down to help people I even seen one girl use the chicken wing as a pointer. The men’s locker room always smells of pee not the separate section for toilets but the locker room it’s self. Mold in the showers always makes for a gross post workout, not to mention the piles of paper towels every where. The place looks like it’s from Burien. This place is worth 30% of what they charge for a membership. Management should end the hen parties and make the employees actually do a job of cleaning and making the place look nice.

I am a member . . . and enjoy the place. Something for everyone who wants to be in better shape. From water aerobics to racquet ball, from tread mill to serious free weights . . . relax in the hot tub or sauna after. Great health club.

We have only used the pool at this location for our sons swim lessons, but an amazing place thats clean and friendly and professional staff.

My goto gym in Burien, always pretty busy but you can usually still get a rack or floor space for deadlifts

The personal Training Management and team, are unsympathetic and think they are better then everyone. My daughter has been in ICU for a week and still has ongoing treatment, and they are totally unwilling to cancel or even put it on hold my personal training contract. Should have never joined your GYM. You guys dont help people, you steal their money. And Wes makes you think his trainers are some 4 year degree professional, but theyre just a bunch of stuck up kids.

For the number of employees sitting around the front looking at their phones you’d think the weights had already been organized and the paper towels stocked. You’d be wrong.

This club had really bad customer service. Be very careful with signing their personal training contracts. The club is dirty with garbage bins usually over flowing, no papertowels in the bathroom and unorganized weights.

The staff at front desk are always on there phones when customers are coming in and leaving. I was there today and one of the staff member was sitting on the counter top on his phone. Very unprofessional. Coming from working at Lifetime fitness, this place needs cleaned big time and staff smacked into shape. You dont get paid for being on your phone at work. Customers come first.

My favorite location. Much nicer, all the machines have televisions on them & the gym is more spacious than others in King County. Very nice locker rooms as well!

The surrounding area is ghetto and the parking lot has occasional break-ins during the day (busting of windows and so forth) but the gym itself is the best Ive been to. Never overly crowded and the equipment is all relatively new.

Three weeks ago someone broke the backboard in the basketball court, the basket court is still out of commission. Four machines are down and need repair. We got another new general manager a few weeks ago, lets hope she can get this place in shape.

Great gym

I have only had a membership for a week and I (like everyone else with jobs and a life) showed up for a 5am workout to find out the gym was closed. This forced most all of us to have to leave at 5:30am when it was STILL closed and skip our workouts. The only reason I even workout here is because I am forced to due to the location. Would not recommend this gym to anyone; the equipment is limited and the staff cant seem to even unlock the place on time or make sure all the weights are in the right spots.

Update to 1 star. The cardio equipment just keeps getting dirtier. If there equipment is this dirty I cant imagine their pool & hot tub are sanitary.Last night there were garbages overflowing, water all over the floor near the fountains (theyre lucky no one fell down) filthy bathrooms, and no cleaning wipes in the weight area. Everyone working out was trying to be nice about it but who wants to sit in someone elses sweat on a machine?!?Id ask the staff to clean/fill supplies but I have no idea where they might be or who they are since the desks and front counter never have anyone there. (Maybe they should wear name tags or LA Fitness shirts?). Im looking at my options, I dont want to keep giving them my money.Original post: Extremely dirty equipment. I had an injury and called in to freeze my account. No confirmation, no email was given. saw my next monthly bill and saw that they charged full amount.. Haded to call again, then got a confirmation #. They need to train there staff!!These people dont care about you. All there going to refund is a portion of the amount that was frozen but they stay with your full monthly charge. 24 fitness is better then this crap!

Ive been pretty steadily working out for about 10 years now and have been to well over 15 separate gyms in my life so Id say I definitely have a bit of experience with how gyms work. This gym is pretty average, Id say the only benefit over any other gym is the price, its about the only gym in the area which isnt very overpriced. People dont tend to put their stuff away or clean their equipment and it tends to be overcrowded in the weight lifting areas.My Pros:- Low relative cost (in this area)- Pool- Bag room-A lot of cardio equipment-Not an insignificant amount of weight equipment (tends to be more machine heavy and doesnt have a deadlift/power lifting area at all)-Plenty of staff-Water Fountains-Personal Trainer area (if youre into that)- Adequate cleanliness- Nice location if you live in Burien- Its got a sauna (small)My Cons:-Very machine heavy (no abundance of free weight) crowded weight room area- A Cafe area where more weights could be- Weights left all over the place, not a good gym culture where people re-rack their weights, only use the lifting area for weight lifting, not chatting, phone use, etc.- Corporate sell sell sell policy where they have to call you all the time to offer deals and all that car salesman type stuff- No auxiliary equipment such as resistance bands, much in the way of handles for the crossovers machines, weight belts, etc.- No cleaning spray available to wipe down machines, only hand sanitizer dispensers- Deadlifts, Power cleans, and the like? Haha good luck with that- Hot inside that placeIts basically your standard crowded city gymUpdate: been going here for 2 weeks. Heres my biggest take aways: that cleaning I mentioned? Nobody does that. Nobody re- racks weights.
