Came by to pick up an online order that was placed yesterday. I have an order number but useless, because according to them they go by name. Not a problem, but they had a problem because it was an order placed yesterday. I dont know if shes a manager or what, but Danielle H. was rude, curt, disrespectful, major attitude issue. Then the order wasnt ready, me and another associate walking around pulling the items on the list. She was not helping anyone, so why wasnt she assisting pulling a paid order. I was doing a favor for someone to pick up supplies. But if I have to do it again, I will never suggest this location.
Horrible service. Not customer focused. They said you have to be 18 years old with a valid drivers license. I show up with my valid license and I’m 23. They say since the license is vertical it’s not valid. But the state says it is valid I drive with it everyday but this “clerk” at UHaul says it’s not. I ask for a Mgr he says you can’t talk to anyone because they aren’t available. I ask for a supervisor they say not one available. I call customer service can’t get anyone on the line.Bottom line dont use Uhaul especially the one in Buford Ga they are very unprofessional. I’ll be using any other company bedsides Uhaul from here on. Good job Uhaul you alienated another potential customer.

Extremely rude young guy employed here is ruining the great service this location usually provides! Young guy bruising for a fight with anyone unfortunate enough to encounter him at storage unit or need his help. Over 5 years now, Ive been renting cargo-trailers, tow-dollies and from time to time, storage units. Great service and seldom trouble with management of locked gates or over/mis-booking, but recent experience would cause me to warn ANYONE to avoid this location should this guy be on duty.

Got there to pick up a trailer. I met my friend there and he said that he reservedit online so since there was only 1 enclosed trailer there we assumed it was his. I thought he spoke with the people inside but he didnt. 1 of the workers saw us looking at it and said nothing until I pulled my truck up to get it. That worker walked up to me and said that if I take the trailer I would get arrested. Then I found out from my friend that he never talked to them. But they never came to us and ask us if we ordered or going to order 1.
If there was a zero star option that is what they deserve. BEWARE when renting a trailer from them. They DO NOT properly & tighten the trailers as this is what happened to us. We we were loading the trailer the trailer came off the hitch and went straight into the tailgate cause a deep gash and dent. After filing a claim with U-Haul they denied the claim and denied any responsibility. It is clear negligent when we moved the trailer from the tailgate back onto the hitch it was loose and had to tighten the connection. The U-Haul representative NEVER pulled on the trailer as I have seen in other rental instances to make sure it was on the ball tight. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS with this location or U-Haul again!
Danielle and Zelek were the best and taking care of my trying situation. I cant say enough about how they fixed a botched reservation that was my problem and got me on the road. Thanks, thanks and thanks you guys.

U-Haul does not have their stuff together. From what the overwhelmed manager told me the day the U-Haul portal had confirmed my appointment to have a hitch put on, the automated service they use over books and over laps appointments. They also need to update their system to keep up with/control their inventory. The Buford site I went to did not have my part, nor did they have a slot open for anyone to do the work. U-Haul should not charge for services until after they are able to finish the job. I have tried to contact U-Haul through both their telephone number and their preferred contact, messaging service and they do not answer either way. I have had to file a dispute with my credit card company to be reimbursed.Unless you just have money and time to blow, I would advise finding someone else to do any type of service on your vehicle(s).
Poor service and didnt have anything ready when I got there. Plus they kept forgetting stuff on my list of ordered items. They need to step it up. Would not recommend you go here.

I have never seen in my entire life such BAD customer service. The worst experience ever. Usually, the manager of most companies will take care of the customer and make things right. NOT this manager, she was yelling and extremely rude to my husband over a mistake they made.1. We made an appointment with customer service and when we got to Uhaul it Buford, the manager, Danielle, argued that we DO NOT have an appointment. (WHO DOES THAT).2. DANIELLE told my husband to come back at 8 AM, the next morning and we did. Once we got there, the person that was supposed to do the work was not even there.3. DANIELLE made my husband wait until 10 AM, nothing still not done. My husband ask about it and the guy had just got there. DANIELLE today him it would be 2.5 hours until its done. So, my husband decided to take a walk to a nearby store.3. The person that was supposed to do the work called at 12 PM my number and left a message they did not have all the parts AGAIN (WHO DOES THAT), AFTER 2 HOURS AND THEY LEAVE A MESSAGE on my phone and my husband is the one waiting.4. My husband goes back and finds that nothing has been done after 4.5 hours and is upset with them and this so called manager that should defuse the situation raises her voice and is yelling at my husband, Im listening on the phone and I tell her we are the customer and she should not be arguing or yelling at us.IN CONCLUSION: THIS MANAGER SHOULD BE FIRED!!!

Great Customer Service! I rented a truck from this location yesterday (Nov 9, 2020). The move ended up taking a couple of more hours than expected, but Shawn had told me to just give them a call if it was going to run over. I tried to call a couple of times, but had to drop the calls before speaking with anyone because of interruptions on my end. Long story short, I was worried about returning the truck late (after they had closed), but then discovered a missed call and message from Shawn, saying he had seen that I had tried to call and so he took it upon himself to extend my rental through the end of the day so Id have no late fees. Very impressed with Shawns initiative and great level of service!
Yesterday was a busy day and the team at U-Haul did everything in their power to make it move more smoothly. Unfortunately, when I arrived, their payment processing center was down. The team worked with us to change our reservation to mobile check in so that we didnt need to continue waiting. While this option is not available for all rental needs, it was such an easy process, I will use whenever possible in the future.When I needed to keep it for longer, they were able to adjust my reservation. When i ended up returning it earlier than expected, they credited me back the additional day super fast. We all face challenges, its how you respond to those challenges that leaves the lasting impression. Danielle and all the staff at this location were super courteous and ready to assist. I appreciate the effort and will be back as need arises.

No problems with the rental truck. I feel like I actually rented one a size too big for what I really needed to do. Honestly, I coulda probably just used my truck. But its done now & I did think I was gonna get a lot more done than I actually did. If that had been the case then I would have needed one that big.
WATCH OUT. They will find ways to charge you when renting their uhaul trucks. They will only tell you to put the keys in the orange box at pickup counter (for after hours dropoff) and purposely not tell you about other important facts about returning your truck and rented equipment. If you dont neatly fold furniture pads you rented, 25 dollars. If you dont go on their app and do a verification after drop off, 20 dollars. Great customer service requires those working to provide important information verbally to all customers at time of pickup. You cannot expect your customers to study the terms and conditions, it is not realistic. An informed customer, is a happy customer. Without this, they are taking advantage of you. 1 star

I had made an appt. To Have a hitch put on my suv at 2pm, got to the place at 130pm, was told they had 2 ahead of me and would be 2 hours. I left and returned back at 545p, still no hitch my suv not touched.

Bad service from this manager (Danielle Hall) at this location, in less than 24 hours she charged me almost $200 dollars because i was late couple hours to return the truck, she added all this fees she must be starving, If you are thinking about renting from this location think twice because she will rob your money!! Extremely poor service. I wish I had the option to not give a star at all because even 1 star wasn’t earned. I rented a truck one way from Buford, Ga to Charlotte, NC. I put all of my information in online including my credit card info. Recently I moved from Buford to Charlotte and had to put stuff in storage that the movers couldn’t fit into the truck. I paid for storage until the end of this month (3 days from now). When renting the truck I wasn’t certain of the time that we would get it so since we were getting it for 2 days but only needed it for one I felt secure that if I had the truck booked for 12:00pm that It would be ready when I arrived. U-Haul was open and I knew that I would get it by 5pm. I am a business Professional and rent cars frequently. When I do I’m recommended to put in my booking for the first time that I can pick up the vehicle so that it will be ready as is standard business practice. My husband and I left North Carolina this morning and took the 4 hour drive to pick up the truck and empty the storage unit to move it to NC. When we arrived at 2:45pm I ran in with my license, insurance and Amex to see one gentlemen behind the desk. I gave him my info and within seconds he came back with “no, we don’t have a truck”. He announced that they gave it away. I explained that I had a reservation. The gentlemen rudely said that if I was late for a reservation that without calling, emailing or questioning they will cancel my reservation. Ridiculous. I then tried to clarify that I gave my credit card info and made a reservation. He says that they didn’t charge my card and that none of the trucks he had go to Charlotte (don’t know what that means and got no clarification). He said that since I didn’t arrive at noon that it is customary to cancel my reservation without warning, text message, email or phone call. I’m moving, not making a dinner reservation so this was a huge deal. Without apologies he also explained that he can’t help me find another truck. He did tell me that customer service will call me to try to resolve this. Of course no phone call came. When I called I stayed on hold for 30 minutes before hanging up and defeated, headed back to Charlotte without my stuff. As of now, I still haven’t heard from U-Haul. Don’t put your faith or trust here. Moving may be a big deal for you but certainly not for this organization who is supposed to be customer service focused. Without resolution I will continue to share my experience and will not use or recommend using U-Haul again.

Just the worst UHaul experience Ive ever had. I asked for a brake controller install. They made me an appointment for a week later. I showed up. No installer. Manager doesnt even have his phone number! She made another appointment for the next day. So I come back. He shows up 45 minutes late just to tell me he doesnt install brake controllers. No apologies, just excuses from everyone passing the blame to others. I installed it myself. Thanks for wasting many hours of my time.

We work with Uhaul quite a bit and we had THE best experience with Jacob and Cam this past weekend. They both maintained a can do attitude the whole time. Professional and positive throughout the entire experience. If we had a place in organization for each of them I would be attempting to hire them away TODAY.Great hires Uhaul!!

Be careful. Make sure you look at your receipt. Make sure everything you asked for is in your truck before you pulloff. Complete scammers. Delt with this location twice. First hit my card for $250 3 times. For a $75 charge. 2nd rented asked for dolly and dolly was never in truck. Moved all my furniture no dolly. Returned truck on time full gas. Double charged me for mileage and also charge a $30 late fee. I recommend using cash. Dont swipe your card with these people.
Do not go here with a big truck. Its a very steep hill to get in and out of this place and you have to turn on a 6 lane road when leaving.

This place is horrible. I called to let them know I was running behind and I got there before anyone answered the phone. No one was in the building when I got there. One lady seemed new and really didnt know how to interact with guests. The other lady was the GM and she was just rude, or rushed or overwhelmed. Who knows. They told me I was at the wrong location. I go to the right location. They dont have the dolly that I requested the day before so then I have to drive to the first location I was at (with that mileage being included in the total of what i owe) just to get the dolly. Also, the blankets I requested came in a bag that the girl made me carry to the truck. The girl at the correct location seemed newer as well but had to call the manager for each question I had. Overall, theyre not staffed appropriately and are disorganized. Ive used them before but Ive never seen the same person.

I rented a Uhaul truck back in may. Upon returning the truck I was told that I owed a fee for my mileage going over. I was told by the manger Danielle That the charge will be put in a promissory note so if I came back in there I would have to pay it. On June 13 I lost a child . Obviously devastated and Trying to find a way to pay for funeral that was unexpected. On June 19 I got a charge from Uhaul on my debit card for fees. I call Do you have one 800 number they tell me a general manager will call me back never heard back from them. I called the store and Buford that I rented from and talk to manager Danielle. She then tells me that no Uhaul did not take money money on my account it was visa. So I have to call my bank file a claim come to find out yes it was Uhaul they had taken it out. This lady Danielle even called her boss and then called me back to tell me that it was a matter I need to take Up with Visa because it was something that they do . I do not recommend them at all. I am being charged almost $250 for two days of a pick up truck that was supposed to be 1999 a day it is a scam.

We rented a truck from this location a couple of days ago. It was around 4 pm on a Friday. Most locations close around 6 pm. I saw this location closes at 8pm. I called to verify and spoke to Geoffrey. He was courteous and professional when we spoke. They had the uhaul truck size we needed and was in an out within minutes. Returning the truck was even simpler. They took their keys asked about the fuel level and was on our way and billed accordingly about an hour later. Great service! Thanks.

Service was great and the pickup was easy.We returned the truck at night and the place was closed. The only problem was finding the spot to drop off the key. It was small, located down a hill away from the building, and was completely in the dark.

DO NOT RENT STORAGE UNIT HERE! Very poor service. Very unsafe. Pedestrian gate open 24/7. Saw several people in there who obviously did not have units. One of my units was broken into and belongings stolen. 3 weeks before it was fixed and only after I stood and waited on manager for 45 minutes. He said hadn’t been fixed because upper management was visiting stores in the area so they were fixing issues in order of the visit. My other unit leaked water through ceiling after rain. Employee on duty came and took pictures to report to manager. No call from manager. I called 3 times and was told manager was on property and would call me. Never happened. I went in and waited on manager. He said he didn’t return my calls because they had no responsibility and I was out of luck. Worst service I’ve ever experienced.
The management and staff are extremely knowledgeable,helpful and polite. They take the time to understand your situation specifically and do everything within reason to ensure that youre well equipped for your move when renting a truck or have the appropriate space for your storage needs. I have even been able to get assistance from David, the manager several hours after the office is closed. You cant ask for more than that.

David, the owner, does a great job with customers. We have rented U-Hauls from him on multiple occasions and have never had an issue. We just recently rented one and forgot to grab the furniture dolly and used the dolly in the truck instead. He realized we forgot it and didnt charge us for either dolly. I would recommend this particular U-Haul place to any of my friends that needed one.

Couldnt take the time to make sure they had the parts before my appointment. No one was there to do the install at the time of my appointment. Then never contacted me to say they couldnt do the work when they were missing the parts. Showed up two hours later and they hadnt even started. Should have looked at the reviews first. Seems like a chronic problem. If you dont want the business of installing hitches stick to tuck rentals and dont wast my time.

I had an emergency causing me to have to move quickly. I ended up paying for the truck 2 nights instead of one, then I had to upgrade tolarger unit, again had to rent a truck. I was told it was a special for 2 or 3 days at the price for one night. BS! I was charged for 3 days!Between a rick and hard place I had no choice but to pay.There is one nice young man there by the name of Jon, I think.The older guy working there doesn’t have clue of how to multitask or even what he doing. I stopped to make a payment, he said I’m to busy and I’m the only person working, I’m doing a contract.Really?I ask same person a few weeks ago if I would get a discount if I rented a second storage unit, he handed me a piece of paper with cost of units. I’m going through a divorce so I need to have either a larger unit or a second unit.Other storage companies offer a discount or a couple months free NOT this Uhaul. Boy do I have buyers remorse!Rude employees shouldn’t work customer care!I’m not sure if i should cut my loses and go elsewhere where they are customer friendly or suck it up, considering I’m out so much money now???Do not use this facility, trust me, wish I had be of made inquiries with other storage company’sI asummed the name uhaul stood for integrity, good customer service, not so!Did-satisfied Customer

Absolutely filthy. Units are not completely cut off from the elements. Debris, dirt, dust and bugs/animals can get through the gap above the sliding door when it is closed. Tons of rat/mouse dropping in my unit. I had no food in there.Not worth the price at all.
It took an hour to pick up a truck I reserved because the guy was by himself. He was very apologetic though.

The people here are fantastic. I rented a van for a few days and everything without any issues. The place is clean, theyre super friendly.
When I had to go there they was very nice and they work with you and if you ever need help they will help you with a smile I will be useing them agian if I ever need to store my things
Friendly and courteous staff. Grounds and units keep so nice. I love checking the donation area for items someone did not want and still are in decent condition. Too bad location is not conspicuous at all. Surely, it has to tarnish revenue potental.
Moving is an incredibly stressful and emotional process and the crew at this uhaul location manage to keep it together and be very helpful when dealing with people who are stressed out from it all. Rented storage units, trucks and trailers. I literally have PTSD from the whole relocation ordeal but they were very friendly here. Especially Brandon. I didnt find any rodents or evidence of rodents in their storage units however if I were to find something to complain about is that the gate is frequently left open leaving the place easily accessible to thieves and equipment is often parked in front of the storage units rendering them inaccessible if you cant get them to move it. I had units at another storage place and it was more secure and nicer overall but it did cost more.

I would highly recommend avoiding this location. We ordered a hitch for our bike rack and made an appointment to have it installed. Went to the appointment and was told there was nobody there who could install it for us. Left and was promised a phone call to reschedule, but did not receive a call so we had to call them. Was told at this point that the hitch had not even come in yet. We cancelled the order and asked for a refund, and (youre gonna love this) we were told we had to go back to the store to receive it because they couldnt do it over the phone...even though they accepted payment over the phone. Just ridiculous all around, and their staff didnt seem to care at all. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

They do not have any experience. I ordered a part online for my trailer. They told me come and pick it up and after 20 miles driving they told me that they don’t have it and i can use another one it may be fit!!!!

Ive rented from here two times and have been happy with the service and trucks both times. The computer system was down when I was attempting to make a reservation for the following day. The manager did all he could to get me the truck I needed. Very professional.
Guy lied to me about a trailer I rented, stood behind as I hit the brakes, signals etc. Told me alls good light work. Then I get pulled over. No ticket, but when I looked under my hitch I find my trucks harness to the hitch harness disconnected. The lights never worked. The trailer lights were plugged in to my truck but behind the plug wasnt connected. He lied to make a sale. Uhaul is franchise and usually great. Hes a scumbag dont visit this location.
I remember the old days so there was always something disappointing with U-Haul but Ive got to say that these guys and Buford really did a great job from getting me the right piece of equipment at the right price at the right time. I hope the rest of the U-Haul group outside of the store is as good

Be careful with your credit card information. They will charge your card without your permission. For the past 8 months they have taken payments at random times for a storage bill when I NEVER set up automatic pay. They saved my credit card information from when I paid my bill online and charge it at will.
I rented a truck from this U-Haul location for part of a local move. I had to wait a little while since there was only one person working the counter (despite having an appointment that I booked online), but once I got the vehicle it worked well, did the job right, and I got it for a decent price. Just what I was looking for. If I need a truck again, this is where Ill go.

The new office is an old gas station but there is no u-haul sign there! If you turn in at the sign (next turn) you are on a short drive that ends at a closed gate where the trucks are parked. When I was there they didnt even have a sign directing you to the office. Very confusing. Aside from that, everything was okay. Got the truck and had no other problems.

Scheduled a 26ft truck got there at 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning with my guys only to find out that the location to pick up the truck was different! Sitting here on a Sunday waiting for the other location only to open up an hour later. So sitting here wasting my time and man time just hoping this will be the right location....no remorse for my time wasted dealing with the circus Durning a already stressful time (moving)
