My wife and I are leaving this gym. For the life of me, I can’t see how people claim on their review that this is a good gym. It’s always dirty, there is never towels in the men’s room, no hand sanitizer (there is only one hand sanitizer dispenser in the gym), and the trainer acts like he owns the place. The trainer said he has the power to cancel anyone’s membership he wants to.There is rarely anyone at the front desk. People come in and don’t have memberships, they walk right past the scanner.The equipment is basic, low quality equipment. This is a beginners gym. You get what you pay for.

This is the best location out of 3 Ive been so far in Atlanta area after moving from Florida but...there is no one EVER at the desk at night and I really mean NEVER! Everytime I need to be set up for Red light, tanning or hydro bed Im searching the whole gym hoping to find an employee(which adds another 30 minutes to my workout) unacceptable! Ill change my review when they finally hire some staff

I requested to cancel my membership on 09/08/21 in person at this location. They told me that because I had started my membership at the Columbus club (I worked in Columbus for the month of March), I needed to go there to cancel my membership, write them requesting cancellation, or transfer my membership to Buford and then cancel. I opted to transfer and cancel. He transferred my membership and attempted to cancel, but the system wouldnt allow him to do so yet. I asked if I could call and have it cancelled at a later date, he said Id have to come in in person a 2nd time.I returned to the Buford location on the 16th and requested to cancel again. I was told that because I didnt cancel before the 10th I would be charged again. I explained that I had requested cancellation 8 days prior but they told me there was nothing they could do, but that I could call their manager after the transaction went through to see if there was anything he could do.I called today and spoke to Paul (I believe that was his name?) who told me that these transactions can only be refunded by corporate, and that he can make a refund request but theyre just going to tell him that I shouldve come back again and requested cancellation again. I replied thank you and he hung up on me.I called back immediately and Terry answered. I told him that I had been on the phone with someone else at the front desk and we had become disconnected. Terry said Oh hes walking by right now, hold on. He came back a minute later and said that they have a roto-rooter guy at the gym and Paul ad hung up to go talk to him. Terry asked me if I could call back in 30 minutes and I began to say Well I just want to know if he completed the refund request but about halfway through the sentence Terry hung up on me as well.Easy to sign up, hard to get them to stop going into your bank account once theyve been given access.AS FOR YOUR REPLY:Thats why I came in to cancel on the 8th. Before the 10th.And the last 2x I called, Paul and Terry hung up on me. Nice try though!

I try not to give bad reviews. But this place smelled bad. I only use the tanning bed. And it had a light out and crud inside the glass.

For the price, this is an amazing gym!! I got a black card membership and im allowed to have a guest and go to any gym of my choice. This is amazing, because in Atlanta Georgia, I find a planet fitness everywhere within 10-20 miles. That is a huge plus and there is a lot of machines to work out in. They have drinks stocked up and their customer service is wonderful.

Love the fact that they have an hourly personal training class conducted by a very dedicated personal trainer (Patrick). He is very good at what he does and my motivation to visit this location to workout regularly has increased drastically because of that. The best part of all that is ...IT IS FREE to sign up.

Used to be great going here when it was 24/7. Almost all the other planet fitnesses have gone back or stayed at 24/7 schedule. Best believe the price didn’t change tho when they changed the hours. Imagine that.I’ll change my review once they(if) go back to 24/7The store had finally gone back to 24/7, I have changed my review to reflect my prior promise.

Ive been going about a month now - the gym is pretty awesome. The staff is always kind and everyone is focused on doing their own thing so you can just relax and do your thing. They have plenty of machines to keep you changing it up, and there are so many sanitizing stations. I recommend this to anyone looking to start working out, or maybe if youre looking for a new gym.

I have been attending this location for 4 years and I love it is super clean .... I have visited other gyms because I would like to have other machines ... but I stay here I am very satisfied with the staff I feel comfortable. for the moment I can inprovise my exercises and fulfill my expectations. but I can tell you that I have visited other gyms ... and planet fitness in Buford there are few like this. It is super comfortable there is space and the bathrooms are super clean too. I give it 5+ stars

The staff is always really friendly and helpful! The gym is always sparkling clean and very well maintained. There is a plethora of machines and free weights. I have been to several different planet fitness gyms and this one is my favorite :)

There were two employees who were bad mouthing and making fun of customers when I walked in today. It made me feel super uncomfortable.I specifically picked this gym because of the “judgement free zone” but am reconsidering my membership.

I appreciate that it is more spacious than other PFs that I have gone to. Also this particular gym has the elliptical equipment that I like to use :-)

I been member at this location for almost 3 years now, but recently I couldnt ignore the fact that something its changing may be the manager of whoever its in charge of the whole place, I noticed that the whole place its not as clean as it used to, I was trying to use the restroom and the bowl was stained on the inside 3 weeks have passed and the thing its the same and not only that but the floors, sinks and the gym equipment as well its oily and dusty,Im thinking about going to another location just because the standard of cleanliness its noticeable not the same,

The gym is nice and convenient for $10 per month. I prefer to pay $20 a month and get unlimited hydro massage sessions, unlimited tanning with new bulbs, unlimited red light machine. Great Value!

Buford, GA location. 3-star for the facility. The mask policy has ZERO enforcement. I wasnt overly surprised beyond maybe the magnitude that it was ignored. I say this to emphasize the point for others who may choose to join. I chose this location because of its size and openness. After months, I was going crazy working out at home. Its easy to spread out in this gym even with a moderate crowd. In the hour plus that I was there, I literally counted less than 5 people (excluding staff) wearing a mask at any given time. Everyone else must have had them in their pockets as they were nowhere in sight. Strangely enough, I saw more people on the cardio equipment with them on in some capacity (face or chin). As I was leaving, a female was bold enough to walk in without a mask, lay her keys on the back counter of the welcome area (as she greeted the staff behind the desk who I assume she knew) and then walk off towards the free weights to work out. Public Service Announcement: Know what to expect when you go. Plan for a slow time or choose not to go if concerned about constant social distancing. No point getting yourself upset about something that will not change here. Thats how I approach it. My motto: Work out to minimize stress, not stress coming/being in the gym. STAY HEALTHY! Peace!

Don’t trust this gym.I was charged after freezing my account. I was told I would not be charged during that period and when I complained about it I was told I would be refunded. But never saw it.They claim that they are safe enforce mask but that is a lie also.

Its pretty great and the atmosphere is nice but since covid they started closing at 9 on weekdays and 7 on weekends and for night owls such as me and my father this is disadvantages

Pretty nice clean location, there are 3 hydro bed but one still broken for a while. Sometime there is a wait on it.

This is a very good Planet Fitness. The staff here are really on top of keeping this place sparkling clean and well maintained. Lots of machines to work with. Large parking lot. Place seems same and secure, Im not overly worried about my car while Im inside working out.

I’ve been training at the Buford location for the past several months this location is very clean. Charles the evening front desk employee is amazing very helpful and friendly with a great work ethic. Everyday I come in he’s always hard at work, if there’s any employee that deserves a rise it’s him!

Who ever the girl was that worked the night shift 1/16/21 was the most disrespectful and unprofessional person I’ve ever encountered in my life. My wife and myself have been members of this gym for years and will definitely be canceling our memberships. For a gym the “prides” itself on fair treatment and no “intimidation” you definitely have employees that are rude and disrespectful.

I am not sure if the Planet Fitness establishments on Buford Dr. and Lawrenceville-Suwannee are ran by the same individuals, but something has to give with the hours. All other establishments are running longer hours, but it is not convenient for many ex-members to drive such distances. If you all are owned by the same individuals, can one of the establishments be open 24 hours? A matter of fact...I just need one to be open at 4 am, preferably the Buford Dr. location. I am willing to even open the gym at 4, for FREE! I will rejoin and pay monthly like everyone else, but I need one hour earlier. I am a teacher and a mother. I use to wake up at 3:45 every morning to be at the gym by 4 and workout to 6:15, so I can be home to wake up my sons by 6:30. I had to stop payments once school started and your business hours not changing. Late workouts is not a go for my household because other parental duties. I was on a role!!! PLEASE OPEN ONE HOUR EARLIER...HIRE ME FOR FREE!!!

Do not have staff in the morning for black card functions. No one to start hydro massage or tanning beds.

Everything is very clean and equipment kept neatly in place. Friendly staff as well! But some members not wearing masks walking around the weights a concern!Theres no real safety protection enforced for members just choosing not to wear a mask. This may unfortunately mean this great location could be closed if an infection gets traced back!

The guys and girls that work in the Buford gym are great! The gym is always clean and orderly. The equipment is kept in very good condition and repairs, if ever needed, are done quickly.

Id give it 5 stars if they had more equipment and I didnt have to wait on a bench in the free weight area.

I love the open and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and professional. It is easy to get to any machine so your workout remains seamless and the massage chairs are wonderful.

One of the few gyms to still close at 9pmwhile others are back to normal hours... while more people are working out now - planet fitness is forcing big crowds at peak hours as opposed to giving options to spread out workout times due to limited hours.and you can iterally see them enrolling ppl daily.

I joined planet fitness 10 dollar plan and enjoyed the services at 1st.I referred my wife to join as well.When we arrive we were convinced by staff instead of getting separate accounts where she can come on her own,to get a black card and add her on.They even made her her own card.The other day she comes alone to enjoy a workout and was approached by another staff member saying she cannot workout unless I was present. It was a very embarrassing situation for her and myself being it was the same staff that suggested we get that plan.Im also disgusted because it is the same price and totally unnecessary and petty to even approach her about this in the 1st place....Im considering closing my membership entirely

Have to say so far so good. I already lost over 100 lbs on the IntéKai System and they recommended I start working out, and planet fitness was conveniently located.The staff is reasonably pleasant. The equipment is modern and fairly adaptive, well kept and certainly clean... both routinely by staff and by members, before AND after use.At my daytime training hours it had never been crowded and the culture is polite, pleasant enough.

Truly the cleanest and most comfortable gym I’ve ever been in! From LA Fitness to GOLD Gym, the Buford Planet Fitness is be far the best gym to ever work out in. Their staff works so hard constantly cleaning and are always nice and respectful. Would definitely recommend anyone to come join at this location because they’re the best in the region!

Ive been a member of this gym for the past 5 years. Its been through a LOT of changes. In the past year or so Ive seen a lot of employees come and go unfortunately. Some who absolutely needed to go and some whom I miss. I own my own business so I know it takes a lot to keep a place like this running efficiently. I appreciate the changes that Ive seen lately. The staff seems to clean more, less rudeness and leaning and definitely more of a management presence. I believe the two ladies (one whose pregnant and wears a hat and the other, long curly hair with nails) have done a great job at turning this place around. While some may not appreciate your new found focus on a clean gym and better customer service, just know this customer does! Keep up the great work! David K.

Even though this club is very busy Mon, Tue, and Wed I enjoy working outhere. The staff is usually cleaning the equipment and works hard to keepthings in tip top working order. If exercise equipment is broken, it is fixedvery quickly. I really enjoy the hydromassage bed after a good hard workout. I frequently take advantage of the red light therapy and tanning beds and booths. I have enjoyed my time at Planet Fitness in Buford and look forward to continuing my membership there. My only complaint is about people playing on their phones between reps. Too much time wasted between reps. Great gym, just wish the members were more considerate of others.

It is just like the commercial says it is. My husband and I have so much fun working out together, quality time and all while getting fit. Even when I go by myself its still fun due to the friendly, informative, and helpful staff.

This is my Home Planet fitness location. I love it!!! The staff is amazing and very helpful. They always make my day better. The facilities are very clean and well kept. Great place for everyone. Its generally clean, although the bathroom sink counters could be better kept. They are usually covered with water. Employees are helpful and nice. Ive enjoyed working out here, and plan to continue to do so...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WORKING HERE!!!!! THE MEMBERS ARE WONDERFUL AND THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE GYM IS ALWAYS UPLIFTING. WE TAKE SO MUCH PRIDE IN OUR WORKPLACE AND ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WAYS TO MAKE OUR MEMBER EXPERIENCE BETTER.

Nice customer service. The gym here is very approachable here not as intimidating as other places. The machines are not as good as other places but its probably to lower the intimidation level. The leg press machine is lacking a bit though. It only holds 300 something pounds. But other than that everything its lovely. They have a tanning room. Hydro massage and a chair massage which is very nice. I only use the hydro massage. The people are very nice and I really enjoy going eith a friend.

I like that it is close by and clean. The staff is nice and helpful. The setup for social distancing is great as well.

Ive actually referred a couple people to the Buford location! Its so clean and the staff is so friendly!!! I love the atmosphere...no meatheads! LOL :) Everyone is there to do what they need to and so friendly! And I love the Black Card area!!! Makes it that much better - who wouldve thought you could actually make your gym a refreshing place to just regroup, too!!! So glad I cancelled w/ LA!

Ive been a member of location since theyve opened. They have a high turnover rate but most of the staff is very friendly and professional. Alyssa is one of my favorites ! She greets everyone with a smile and is very helpful. Marshall could learn from her. She is one of the managers but is very unfriendly and rude. Overall the gym is clean, affordable, and in a great location.
