This is my second time having my car serviced here and I can say each time I have gone I have left very happy and saved a bunch of money!!! The people that own this place are very honest people. I went to them with a list of things wrong that my dealership said needed fixing that would cost thousands of dollars and Shelby’s not only knixed things off the list but saved me lots of money!

This is a great place to go. Fair prices. Cozy shop. Excellent service. These guys do a great job on my older vehicle. They even check your tires (although they dont sell them) to make sure you are safe. Ladies these guys watch out for you. I got oil change and engine check. They did even charge me for a tune up, because I didnt need one. Honest technicians. I would not trust my vehicle to anyone else. They can get you in and out! Call em tell them your problem and they will give you a quote and time to come. EFFICIENT, AFFORDABLE. FRIENDLY!!!

Amazing family owned and operated shop. We were in town to visit family and were supposed to be headed back to SC when we realized we had a nail in our tire. We had called several places who said it would take over an hour to fix and were actually on hold with another shop when we called Shelby’s. They told us to come over and they would get it fixed right away. We were in and out in about 15 minutes and they were extremely kind, professional, and knowledgeable. They patched our tire and it drove good as new all the way back to SC right after. We would highly recommend.

I will never ever go to another mechanic besides Shelbys, Shannon & Bob are the most credible people. I have used them many times and not once have I felt like I paid to much. If anything I think I have been under charged for the quality of work they have done. Always helpful and courteous.

Recommended by a friend. Thank goodness! My 05 Pilot with 250k miles had an oil leak that two shops could not fix. It was a pretty deep fix, but they got it. Let them do some other maintenance while there. Fair price. Trust them. Totally happy and will be back. Thanks Shelbys!

Dropped a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid off on Monday, 2/12/2018. I described any issues I had noticed with the car and was told I would be called back when they had a chance to inspect the vehicle. On Thursday, 2/15/2018, I called back in to Shelbys to inquire about the status of my car as I had not heard back from them. I talked with Bob (to my understanding the owner of the company) who informed me that he normally doesnt look at hybrid vehicles, but he would inspect mine and give me a call back shortly.By Monday, 2/19/2018, I still had not heard back from anyone at Shelbys. I called back in once again to ask about my car and was told that the car had not been looked at and that they dont inspect hybrids at all. At no point was I given the courtesy of knowing this information... I would have gladly picked up my car at any point and taken it anywhere else that would service it. Instead, the car sat unlocked in a parking space outside of their office for a week.I wish I had read past reviews to see that communication isnt a strong suit of Shelbys. As they wont tell you, if you own a hybrid dont bring it by their shop. Better off probably not bringing any car to their shop just to be on the safe side, this area of Buford is crowded with auto mechanics who will have the common decency to call you back. Why is there not a 0 star option?

Bob and the crew working the shop are exceptional. I would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced repair. Shannon and the group up front are extremely friendly on the phone and will answer any question you may have. Bob shows his pride in the work he does. I will continue to go to him when I need anything done to my cars.

This will be my very first review I have ever written, I am having a very hard time writing this because I do not want to hurt anyone but unfortunately after having my 1973 Jeep Commando at Shelbys Auto Repair for several months I feel I have to let others know . My story begins by being recommend by some friends after my Jeep started making a loud noise and I brought it to Bob he gave it an oil change and a said it was all fine few days later engine blew and he recommended to have the engine rebuilt so we gave him the initial 500 deposit and he promised the engine would be like new, we would get a 3 year unlimited warranty and it should not be anymore than 2800.00 . So months past being a third vehicle there was no rush but I was getting concerned since the summer had past and we didnt get to drive it, he said it was being worked on, I later found out it was sent to a parts store automotive where the has rebuilt the engine on his spare time, in october I was asked for more money and I brought him 2,000.00 in cash I did receive a receipt from Shannon the owner and thought I was close to getting back our Jeep, but unfortunately I was wrong another few months past and nothing I got fed up and called one day and said Im on my way to pick it up and Bob said I couldnt drive it because it wasnt running, he then told us it might need a new transmission so I brought a tow company to pick it up and bring it to another mechanic but he wouldnt let me have it back until I paid the remainder 300.00 at this point I just wanted my car back, later the other mechanic told us how the engine was poorly installed bolts loose, oil leaks and still in the shop just spent 700.00 in parts and another 1,000.00 in Labor and it did Not need a transmission so hopefully this helps you in the pursuit of a trustworthy mechanic :(((((

They Can Fix ANYTHING Except a Broken Heart...Well, Maybe that, Too.I began restoring a 1953 Willys M38A1 (military Jeep CJ-5) two years ago. The Jeep came to me completely stripped of military parts and a wrecked front end, but it would run. In the middle of restoration, I decided to go full military and change it back to the original 24v electrical system. I completed the restoration but could never get it to run without overheating. When I resolved one problem, another would crop up. I had changed to a military carburetor, military fuel pump, 24 v system, and the harmonic balancer had been replaced (making setting the timing a real pain), all these systems had issues and I just couldnt ever get it all straightened out at one time. I finally realized that, as Clint Eastwoods Dirty Harry would say, A mans got to know his limitations and took it to Shelbys. I could not find another mechanic in the area that would attempt to work on a vehicle that doesnt have a computer to tell you what is wrong with the vehicle. So I took it to their shop and left it. The rework took a long time but it was done correctly. Additionally, they spotted another issue or two and repaired those as well. I have to say that I am in awe of, and appreciate, anyones intellectual curiosity when they tackle a project like this and make it work. Further, the cost was not huge, especially considering how worthless a restored but non-running vehicle is. I know that I never would have gotten all those bugs out without them.
