I am so in love with this nail salon. They did the best job and gave me the exact nails I showed them from the reference photo. They are very kind and are so welcoming. The prices were a little high for a fill, but they do a really great job and it is worth every penny! I walked in around 2:35 and waited for only around 5 minutes.

Was serviced by Jennifer. She’s amazing and deserves all her flowers. They are a good team there. One of the best nail salons in Buffalo.

I really enjoyed A.K Nails for a while, I have been going there since March 2021. But the constant waiting for 3 hours just to get one acrylic set that I didn’t want is getting old..They are understaffed with nail techs and when I want a design they don’t do it because they are too busy. Not to mention I am always thrown around to multiple people at a time. I came to them because of the amazing nail art they do, and they always turn me down for the simplest things. Just disappointing.

I went here for the first time today and really liked it. I had two girls do my nails. The first was a young collage student who was learning. She started my nails, then they were finished by Jenny. I think they turned out great and I will be going back. Oh the young girl did nick me with the nail file. But apologized multiple times. The two girls were super friendly!

I had to wait 40 minutes for my nails to be done when I booked an appointment. Then after my nails were done I had to fight with the nail technician to fix my nail as it was scratched and she said Oh its just a scratch meaning she wouldnt fix it. Then when I went to pay they increased the price they initially told/ the price on their sign by $5 and I was paying cash. Dont waste your time coming here.

My experience here has always been wonderful, their attention to detail is phenomenal, the products they use are superior and the people are fantastic.

Had a great encounter on Instagram with exact quotes on designs I wanted and booked my appointment there. Appointment was set for 11:40, came on time but then a lady came after me and she got taken cared of right away when she had no appointment? So I had to wait and didn’t get started until 12:15 with no communication/explanation stating why I was waiting for so long. I got up about to leave but then they said 5 more minutes so I decided to just stick around, waited for more than 5 minutes with no explanation, no apology. Nevertheless, the process was fine! My nails are great and for a great price.

Really like my spa pedi, Vinnie gives awesome massages. Wouldnt get dip manicure again though.

The nail polish selection is horrible and the polishes all look old and like they haven’t been swapped for years. They also try to upsell you at every turn. I asked for a basic pedicure and they told me to scrub my heels it would be an extra $5. Excuse me? I’ve never in my life been told a heel scrub isn’t included in a basic pedicure service. They use cheap nail polish (DND brand) and OPI is an upsell. Not to mention the place looks like it’s falling apart. The massage buttons on the pedicure chair were completely broken — they haven’t replaced anything it ages. Service is as horrible, no hello or hi, just grunt at you to tell you to sit down. Avoid this place — when I walked in I had the feeling I should walk out and I should have listened to myself.

I Am someone who is super picky about my acrylic nails and pedicures. I have tried almost every salon in my area and have always had problems finding a salon that I truly love. AK nails is not only clean and friendly but their work is impeccable as well. All the technicians are absolutely amazing and I would never go back to any salon other than them again. Every single time I get a set or a fill, I get compliments for three weeks straight. My nails last longer than they have at any other salon and the work is so so good. They always pay attention to detail and can do any design you ask for. I cannot stop raving about the salon to every single person that I meet!Go here I promise you won’t regret it.

Nail Tech got up & walked out while in the process of applying dip powder on my nails then came back in & told me I can just leave. I asked if I could get someone else to do my nails & I was told no because they are too busy. Very unprofessional & unclean.I arrived this morning.There was dust,old snack wrappers& empty water bottles around the waiting area. Do not recommend anyone to waste there time or money there . Im off to find a new shop now!!

I’ve been really stressed out lately between school and work - so I’ve been picking and biting at my nails. I don’t get my nails done often, but today I decided to try out dip powder at AK Nails to try and deter my nail biting. Vivian worked on my nails and she did an awesome job. She was patient, paid attention to detail, and she was very kind. I truly can’t stop looking at my nails! I’m so impressed.

Nice people but they need more training. Some of the employees know how to do amazing nails other employees know how to do ok nails. Sometimes they can be rude but the prices are decent and wait isn’t long.

Two days after my nails were done, my thumb broke. Two days later, the other thumb broke and the gel polish bubbles up and peels off. Out of all my years of getting my nails done, I have never had this happen to me. Especially a couple days after they are done. Not to mention, when I was in there to get my nails done, I asked for something very specific and the man totally disregarded what I said and did something completely different. Nails are way too expensive to just deal with poor quality and pay for something you dont like. Also, Very unprofessional. The whole time I was sitting there, while children were present, the staff was talking about sex and extremely inappropriate work content. Will NEVER return. Worst nail salon Ive been to and I had high hopes from the previous reviews.

I called and made an appointment for 3 pm and when I showed up they said they were too busy and they’d call when ready for me yet they never called me so i wasted an hour waiting for them while they let in other customers. also poor service the workers rushed my manicure and they do not know how to do designs well. do not recommend this place find something better.

Nails turned out different than how I wanted them. Male who did them because argumentive and when asked to try to fix it from another worker, he refused. A young lady fixed my nails while complaining after I told her 3 times she didnt have to and ill just pay. At the end, my nails looked good and I appreciated the service but I didnt appreciate the attitude in the process.

Love love love this place, i’ve been going here for years now and i’ve gotten an acrylic set by just about everyone that works there and they’re all amazing! they are very accommodating and can actually do shape i want unlike other salons i’ve been to. ak nails is very clean and well run, and everyone that works there is so nice! i would 100% recommend this place if you’re looking for a fresh start at a new salon.

Hands down the best nail salon Ive ever been too. The building is very clean with a modern feel. Sign in at the desk. However, prices are not for the faint of heart (they use high-end products) but worth it. Staff is accommodating and professional.

Excellent service. Beautiful colors for dip and gel polish. My gel pedi was great but I dont think my dip nails were done properly. The base powder wasnt used (color powder was the 1st dip...directly on my real nails) and for some odd reason, a gel top coat was used... Which peeled off the following day. One nail broke because the powder applied was too thin. I liked my experience at this nail shop but I expect more when I pay for premium polish like dip.

I am officially committed to this salon. The staff were amazing. Kind, funny, welcoming. Their Dip and Gel manicures are perfection. My sisters and I went in (2 dips & 1 gel), and the results are perfect.Great pricing.The previous place I was going to would file and end up cutting my cuticles so severely, I would have pain and swelling for a week after. Not a single scratch from this place.Just a heads up, they only accept cash tips. And trust me, you will want to tip them for their amazing work!

The only reason I went to this salon and not my regular place is because my salon is not open yet. But I will never be returning. Two of my fingers were cut by the electric file and started bleeding and when I told him he did nothing. My feet look the exact same with callous, she basically just put polish on them and my big toe bled from the file too. My eye brows are fine but she barely let me see them before kicking me out the chair and on top of that I had a 2:00 appointment and wasn’t taken until 20min later. I understand it’s a busy time but they are doing things by appointment. Time management is everything and I wish they didn’t rush through my $100 service. They are over priced and unprofessional and I will not be returning. There was no point in telling them how bad the service was because the damage was done and the most they probably would’ve done is give me money off my next service but there will be no next service because my first time here was TERRIBLE! Don’t know if it was bad because I’m young and black and they looked at me and didn’t care or if it was bad timing but by the fact that they have good reviews makes me feel as though they didn’t take me seriously because of how I look. If you are young and black I’d stay away!!

This was not a relaxing experience at all! There is only one excellent nail tech here, she is the older lady who usually works at the first station. Everyone else is just there to fill in the other stations. I had my nails done by one of their men and he was filing my nails for 40 mins, and failed at giving me my desired square shaped look. The man made my nails way too thin, two days later I was washing a dish and it broke under WARM water. I returned back to AK, desiring my full set to be redone because I am a college student, full time worker who doesnt have time to come here each time a nail breaks, The lady informed me that the nail broke because of “cold weather”....excuse me because if that was the case she should have a whole pack of customers in here complaining about broken nails because they live in wny. They are refusing to do my full set, but will fix my broken nail, I am never returning here and I recommend if you come here that you get your nails done from the LADY ONLY AT THE FIRST STATION, anyone else will most likely give you an terrible experience.

My best friend and I just recently started coming here. After having bad experiences at other salons (waiting for hours, not getting what we asked for, and him being charged more for being a guy?) It was SO refreshing to come to AK. the entire staff is so friendly and we never ever leave disappointed. Kimmy is my nail technician and she listens and makes my nails perfect every time. We will never go anywhere else and I recommend them to everyone!

Also, I had done some gardening and my thumb nail caught on the edge of a heavy flower pot I lost my grip on. I thought for sure it snapped my nail in half...OUCH! But nope, the nail was intact and there was a slight crack in the dip powder manicure. It saved my nail because it had so much flex! An acrylic nail surely would have snapped.I saw Kimmy this time, for my new manicure. She helped me choose the coral color and accent nail - I LOOOVE how it turned out! Perfect for pool season!

The ladies who work her are rude and the prices are unreasonable. I walked in and asked for a simple flower to be drawn on 1 of my nails, I provided a picture to the nail tech who greeted me. She showed the picture to the other techs and for some reason they all shared a laugh. I should’ve left at that point. However, she then informed me that it COULD be done so I stayed. When the nail tech was ready for me I got a different story and was told that the only one who could do it left while I was waiting to be serviced. Frustrated but cool I told the tech “I don’t know what color I want then but could you please give me coffin shaped nails”. No response, she got up and began cleaning mirrors on the other side of the salon. 20 minutes I sat then asked “are you going to do my nails?” She responded smartly “no I’m not doing the flower”. After I had already said that’s fine I’ll think of a color while you’re refilling my nails. So she sat down clearly with an attitude and began to work. She cut me and covered it with nail glue pretending it didn’t happen. Fast forward I tipped her because although my nails were shaped TERRIBLY she took her time and I thought the gel polish was done well. I wish I hadn’t gone. Soon as I left the gel polish began to bubble up. Never have I ever! $50 for a fill and gel polish because I was told that my medium length nails were long and I was paying for length. $50 for nails that didn’t last the week. NEVER AGAIN and I would not recommend.

The lady who did my nails filled my real nail to much and it cracked, I told her that it hurts and she said once she put Acrylic on it then it should be fine. She began to put primer on my nail and it burned really bad and I told her that. She stated again once acrylic is on it then my nail should be fine. A couple days later my thumb began to swell I didn’t notice at first then it started to hurt really bad so after a week I went to a DIFFERENT nail shop to remove it and my nail began to bleed very bad and when the nail finally came off after 10 mins of pain ! My nail was crack and it was purple and black . The lady at the different nail shop told me a nail should have never been put on in the first place and now my thumb nail will have to fall off completely and re grow. I do not recommend ak nails and they have horrible shaping please do not waste your time or money!

Asked me to make appointment. So I did for one. Told me to call when I arrived. Called 45 min. Later and they still werent ready for us! Worst service ever no compassion no sorry just well what would you like us to do it the 1st day back after covid.

I made an appointment a few days ago, when i arrived this morning a few minutes early, i was greeted as soon as i walked in the door and got right in, they were quick but i didnt feel rushed at all. Would definatly recommend them to anyone.

I’ve been to many nail salons in Buffalo over the years but somehow missed this one until now. 4/27/19. They got me in and out in an hour, with gel removal and new gel powder manicure with chrome detail. Any cool thing you find on the internet to do with your nails, this place has the means to do it for you. They have the widest color selection I’ve ever seen. Organized too. As for the price, you get what you pay for. I will definitely be returning here for my nail services.

I used to just walk in, however, I think word is getting out how good they are and the prices can not be beat. So, I suggest giving a call first or booking an appointment!! (Sometimes it looks like they may have open stations but really they have pre-scheduled appointments coming in.)

Well what can I say. I just left AK Nail salon after getting a pedicure. I’m so confused, not sure why the nail technician was wearing a hospital gown. She initially polished my toes so poorly that it looked like I polished them with my left hand. I am right handed and not ambidextrous by any stretch of the imagination. I asked her to change the polish and she told me it’s my toenails that’s makIng the polish look bad. She did finally change the polish after filing and buffing my toe nails again. Go at your own risk

DOnt bother making an apt unless youre a regular because they just wont care. Had an apt at 4, needed to be somewhere at 5:30, didnt get my nails started till 4:30. 2 people who walked in after us got taken care of first because they were regulars. My friend just wanted a regular manicure, the girl put 5 coats of nail polish on her nails and of course it wasnt drying so we needed to leave and her nails were completely ruined by the time we got to where we needed to be. Wont ever be going back to this place!!!

I love getting a gel manicure since I work with my hands a lot. My gel manicure is still on after three weeks and still on and has not even peeled off! I have a bad habit of peeling my gel and it WOULD NOT COME OFF! I had an excellent experience at AK. The lady doing my nails was not only quick, but she was very nice, friendly, and provided very good customer service. The salon is extremely clean and they do a very good job at disinfection and sterilization. Working in healthcare, I commend this salon for keeping their tools and environment clean! I really like how they have many options for colors. This place is always so busy when I come in and that might cause for some waiting, but theres a reason why this place is busy. I would HIGHLY recommend this salon and would bring my friends or family here.

I was referred to this nail salon and I needed a full set and my feet polished. I walked in and I see they had a couple open stations, the gentlemen asked me what I needed and I told him. His response was we cannot do a full set for you today. How is that possible with all these open stations at 5:30pm. So, I left and although I am 1 customer they will never have to worry about me coming back as I know I was clearly not welcomed.

Came to AK as a last resort and on a whim...my nails were ugly, thick and destroyed. Nancy removed my horrible set of nails and was extremely gentle (it was a long painful and annoying process).... which is hard to do when removing nails. She put on a GORGEOUS full set of pink and sparkly dip coffin shaped nails....and I AM SOLD. AK...and Nancy....I am your new favorite client 😊 I would refer this place to anyone and everyone. All the girls were friendly too...not just Nancy.p.sI dont usually write reviews...ever. But I have had so many bad nail experiences I feel as though it is my duty as a girl to share that I have found an AWESOME place. 😍

Never go there again! My Aunt got a nail infection and they use the same nail files for all of the customers, even the same ones that they use on the customers feet. That is just nasty and wrong. I will never fo back, bc 2 days after I got my nails done, they either broke or lifted off.

Used to go here all the time but then service went downhill. First poor experience was when I was told my nails were too long to get gel polish. Ive never heard anything about the length of acrylic nails impacting a gel set?? Second poor experience: they butchered my coffin nails....to the point where the nails got so narrow from them attempting to shape them that another nail salon couldnt fix it. I let the owner know I was unhappy as it was clearly a poor job and that I wouldnt pay for the services and he just said ok. No apology or anything and I had to walk around with horrible nails for 2 weeks. I now go to Le Nails on Millersport Hwy. Piece of advice: keep up with the times or else be honest about not being able to provide a service.

It came up on Google with great reviews. I called them around 11 this morning and asked if I could come in around 2:30. They said 3pm would be better and that was fine with me.When I came in, they were sooo busy. I was patient and once a woman was free after ten minutes, she greeted me and sat me down for my pedi. Her name was pronounced Toy and she took excellent care of me. I have really sensitive feet and I was getting a pedi more out of necessity than pleasure. She explained every step and was very delicate (but strong when needed, like in the massage). She constantly checked on with me whether her cleaning felt like too much, and it wasnt. We had a very pleasant conversation and I learned a lot about her in just the 1/2 hour of the pedi. She also did my hands and the owner of the establishment was free at the time and also joined the conversation. They were very friendly. I also appreciated that Toy didnt completely cut my cuticles completely, because I always get hangnails after I get manicures. She took off enough dead skin but left my natural cuticle protection intact.Later I learned from her coworker that Toy is a hygienist, and this is her second job. It made sense then how she took care of me so well and was very knowledgeable about the tools and methods she was using. Im a pharmacist, so I appreciated the explanations. She was very kind and genuine and told me she really enjoyed her job at the salon, and I told her that it showed. I was glad to support this local salon because the people who work here are passionate about giving good service. Highly recommend, but try to call a day ahead to make your appointment since they seem to have many clients.

Recently came here with my grandmother and the lady stabbed her and covered the wound with glue.They don’t pay attention with what their doing because they’re so focused on who’s walking in.Once my grandmother took the nail polish off she went to the hospital to find that she will have to lose the nail.
