In mid-December my wife and I went to Burdeens to investigate having a ring designed for our daughter. Local Jeweler for the Win! I recently received a watch for my birthday but it was too big. I needed a place to have a link or two taken out. Evan was super helpful and had the links removed in no time. As he was doing it, we discussed my mothers history of being in the jewelry business and within minutes found out he managed a place in my home town! Small world! Super fast and I was thoroughly pleased with our exchange. I rarely write bad reviews but I had an awful, awful experience at this jeweler yesterday! I was looking at jewelry, and apparently my simple, classic taste wasnt expensive enough for the saleswoman. She was very pushy and obviously did not want to listen to my preferences-- I literally left with tears welling up because she was trying to quickly sell me something that I really didnt like.I heard about the place by word of mouth and drove 45 mins to get there... never again. (I ended up going to PK Bennett and was MUCH happier with the experience!!!)

My sapphire and diamond ring had a few small diamonds missing so they replaced the ones that had fallen out. It only took a few days and they were very communicative during the whole process. I would recommend!

Not normally the “post a review online” sort of guy, but felt compelled to write one for this business. Worked with the manager, Evan Shillingburg, on the purchase of a watch. Living out of state, Burdeen’s agreed to ship the watch overnight delivery to my home. Unfortunately, the watch was lost by UPS in transit, at no fault of Evan or Burdeen’s. Evan and the staff were not only communicative but also very proactive in amending the issue and righting UPS’s wrong, in a very timely manner. Not only are the quality and selection here top-notch, but if you’re looking to establish a relationship with a high-end jeweler, Burdeen’s should definitely be on your shortlist!

I was able to put together a deal for a Tag Heuer F1 Chronograph via eBay. They were a dream to deal with. The price was very fair and communication was excellent.They shipped it UPS overnight. When I received the watch, it exceeded my expectations from top to bottom. It was packed well and in a special travel case that I will be using when I....travel..haha. This was a very nice touch. The customer service is excellent, the selection is varied and the prices are more than competitive.This is why Burdeens is a five star store: A week before purchasing from Burdeens I purchased a Rolex from another store, and everything about the transaction felt like pulling teeth. Fast forward a week when I purchased a watch from Burdeens... I had my watch picked out, paid for, and shipped to me all within a day (and the store made a special shipping concession for me which was great). Seriously, I understand some people arent as concerned with the experience of buying luxury goods, but if youre spending used car levels of money on a watch, or anything really, you should expect the best service possible. That is exactly what you get here. If youre in the market for a watch (I am not a jewelry person), do yourself a favor, and call Burdeens first.

Wading into the treacherous waters of pre-owned watch online shopping, I finally settled on using Burdeens Jewelry, mostly due to the other reviews found here.As others have stated here before me, the experience was flawless. Kevin was on-point, quickly and clearly communicated with me back and forth on the questions I had, and shipped the watch within hours of purchase to be received the next morning in California.The watch arrived in the morning and, much to my amazement, the condition was even better than described. The website listed it in very good condition due to some wear on the leather band. Since the band was irrelevant to me, I concentrated on the condition of the watch itself and I would describe it as excellent or even near mint. Personally, I appreciate the slight under-sell on this because one can only come out of this experience happier.Through the whole process, which thanks to Kevins attention was very short, I felt absolutely attended to even though the price tag on this watch wasnt quite what it usually is in the collector community. I took my Omega Planet Ocean to Burdeens because they have an Omega certified watch maker on staff. It wasnt in need of service, but had an annoying hand alignment issue I wanted adjusted. Before I go any further, let me state that I have been to many many watchmakers through out the Chicagoland area. In my experience, these watchmakers are often sloppy and leave dust, scratches, or worse. I was nervous because I had never been to Burdeens but gave it a shot. When I picked up the watch, to my pleasant surprise, it was in the same excellent shape as when I dropped it off with the problem fixed, and for a reasonable price. These days its hard to find a watchmaker who is this meticulous. I will definitely be going back to them for other repair needs in the future. Great job!

When my boyfriend and I came in for the Bridal Event at Burdeens we were really excited about what they had to offer.  We have not done a lot of shopping around for diamonds as we are just getting the lay of the land, younger, and still learning!Traci took the time to listen to what style rings we were interested in, the cut, size, color, etc. This meant a lot to us and she was very honest. Matthew and his family have been in the business for a long time, they have ALWAYS done what they have said they would do, always at a fair price. I have bought 7 watches from them, sometimes I trade, sometimes not. I will say, when I ask Matt what he has, a lot of it isnt online, I highly suggest calling Matt and asking him what he has, if he doesnt have what you want, he will find it quickly. More then likely he is going to be the market price. Consider this, if you are out of state, you dont pay sales tax, you get a free appraisal anytime to market for resale or your insrurance company. I was looking for a timepiece that is not rare but rather hard to come by in the US market. I reached out and Josh got back to me very quickly, worked with me on the deal while answering all questions and giving his honest (which turned out to be very true) and professional opinion on the condition of the watch. We finalized the deal just past noon on Friday local time, and I received the watch in less than 24 hours on Saturday here in California. Brandon took the time to explain the 4 Cs, the cuts, what they look for in a diamond, and helped us breakdown what we were looking for in a ring. More importantly, he took the time to know us, know my likes, know our relationship, and to know what this ring and moment would mean to us. There was no pressure to buy, or to be people were not. That is to say, he didnt restrict us to a certain price bracket (I had THE most stunning diamond on my hand!!!) but also didnt make us feel like we should force ourselves into a bracket that wasnt us. Although we dont live in the lap of luxury, Brandon and Burdeens made us feel like millionaires today.Burdeens prides itself on its exquisite one of a kind jewelry, however it is more the family feel that attracts me. I know that when Brian walks in there to buy my ring, hes going to have Brandon with him, and the two of them are going to make something so unique, so beautiful, something so perfect to emulate our relationship. Recently purchased a pre-owned Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean from Burdeens. Harvey was very knowledgeable. He was able to answer my questions and provide additional insight. I am very happy with the purchase and I feel that I got a fair price on an excellent watch and everything was completed quickly. I called to inquire about the watch at 11AM on a Wednesday and I had the watch in my hands by 10:30 the next day. Which isnt a big deal until you realize I live in Texas. The service I received has won my business going forward.

A great place and owner was great and accommodating. However, I cant give this place 5 stars because of my sales associate. She was very condescending when she communicated with me. I felt like I was being profiled if Ive got the money to pay for what I was looking for. Nevertheless, I still bought it from her...wish I could given sale to someone else in there..What a great place to browse and shop! However, lady with an accent sales associate is definitely a must to avoid.

I discovered Burdeens because theyre an AD for a brand with a new Baselworld release I was looking into, but upon browsing their offerings I found that they had a nice selection of pre-owned watches, as well- including a rare watch by an independent watchmaker whose work Id admired from afar for years. Working with Burdeens (and Josh, in particular) had the efficiency of online shopping (I received the watch by 10am the next day!), but the feel of dealing with real people at a traditional bricks and mortar retailer. They even adjusted the watch to NY time so that i didnt have to set it out of the box. A small detail, but a nice touch. Wouldnt hesitate to shop with them again, and I hope to visit them in person someday.

From Alabama, I made an online offer for a watch Monday night. Tuesday morning, Josh accepts the the offer, we close the deal, and UPS shows up on my doorstep Wednesday at 1030 A.M. and no charge for the overnight! (just to be clear, this was all in the same week) Im spinning this a bit because I wasnt home to sign for the package, but thats between Me and UPS. Actually, as directed by UPS protocol, I did have to call Burdeens to request an adjustment to the delivery, because they had taken good measures to insure (and ensure) delivery. The point here is that the lady who answered the phone at Burdeens (sorry Miss, I didnt write your name down, but you rock!) took up the case, called me back very quickly, and we were off and running. This is not a review of the watch but of the service. Oh yes, the watch is wonderful and Im happy with the deal for sure but, the service I received was top notch. I envy those of you who can actually visit the store!

My boyfriend and I went to see Traci Capp at Burdeens to pick out an engagement ring recently. If you are looking for jewelry....ask for her!!!! Hands down, Ive never had a better experience in retail. She made our ring shopping experience amazing and one we will never forget. She is just a lovely women with a wonderful presence and she REALLY knows her stuff and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients. She gave me her cell number and was available at all hours to text and call while I went back and forth between two rings. I couldnt decide and Traci pushed me towards the less expensive of the two...because it was better quality. She is commission based so she would have made more money on the other but she said the other ring was a better buy. I have very small hands and a size 4.5 ring finger and she said she was so worried I would buy the more expensive ring because it did not look right on my hand. I am SOOOOOO happy with my choice. I went online and looked at some diamond broker sites and I am 100% sure we got a great deal even though it was retail.

Found a pre owned Rolex on their website and made an offer and within minutes Josh Nigut responded and accepted- no haggling or back and forth. He was beyond helpful and provided additional pictures of the watch and answered all of my questions. He also had it sized for me and it was delivered first thing the following morning.
