Our family has been using H&R Block tax professionals for over 40 years to prepare our taxes. We have never had any issues with our returns either from the federal level or any state we have resided in. We have always been included in the process of filing so that we understand what has been done on paper on our behalf in regards to our taxes. Over the years we have had many questions about what is required of us in our different financial scenarios. We have always gotten the answers we need so that we can make any adjustments in a timely manner. This has helped to keep us from paying more tax then we need to and keep more of our resources. This year especially, now that we are at the ages where Social Security will start playing a part, we need sound information and a plan. THEY ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF.DID NOT TELL COSTS UP FRONT, AS THEY ADVERTISE.SIMPLE TAX RETURN CHARGES WHERE MORE THAN A MAJOR CORPORATION!!! TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE.MANAGEMENT AND WORKERS DO NOT STAND BY WHAT THEY ADVERTISE.THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME OVER $400 FOR A VERY SIMPLE, SIMPLE TAX RETURN.FOUND VALID PERSON FOR UNDER $100. PRICE GAUGING AT HARD TIMES.

I had an appointment set for over a year and at H&Rs request moved it to saturday @ 1p.m.. I was 10 minutes early but the office was 45 minutes late starting appointment. Punctualty counts and this was very inconsiderate on H&Rs part.
