My husband and I have been very happy with Vipauto in Brunswick. We have been going there for, I think, more than 10 years. Matt is an awesome guy. He and his crews are very knowledgeable. They helped us for many occasions and more than just oil changes. they have either fixed or service many cars of ours, including Porsche, Mercedes, and Prius when it was so new in the market and not many garages knew what to do with it, lol. They never pushed us to do additional service which was not necessary. They are very honest with their works. We will recommend them to our friends.

I went to VIP Auto today in Brunswick for my yearly Maine inspection. It was really easy to schedule the inspection and everything in the shop went very smoothly and efficiently. I was very impressed with the comfortable setting for customers--wifi, coffee, nice waiting areas and a very clean restroom, but more importantly, given my work as a mechanic in a car dealership for five years, I was very pleased with the way that the service manager dealt with a number of customer issues. He was supportive, clear and made the customers feel confident. I felt the same way as a customer. I highly recommend the Brunswick VIP Auto. I will certainly go back for service.

I scheduled an appointment for a state inspection and a quote for a small repair and was told a date, time, and price. I arrived on time and was told that I didnt have an appointment scheduled but they could fit in the inspection, just no quote on the small fix. When I walked in there were 3 employees at the counter and none of them were wearing any sort of face covering. So far, I was fine with all of this, it just seemed to be a mix up and it was a very hot day so I understand going in and out with a mask wouldnt be preferred by most. They went out to look at my car and one employee stayed at the desk. Another customer came in for their appointment without a mask and the employee said I dont care, they cant make me wear one. At this point I was bothered, because I took the very small effort to wear my mask out of respect for everyone around me. Clearly the employee didnt care if he got any of his customers sick. I know this is a controversial topic for some, but it doesnt reflect well on the business. After a quick 15 minutes my car had been inspected with two issues failing it. I was charged more than I was quoted in the email, so clearly whoever I was in contact with wasnt putting much effort in. The emails werent signed so I dont even know who I was emailing. It was the quickest failed inspection Ive ever experienced and when I took a look at my car later, I really dont think they took the time to properly inspect my car. Basically a $20 waste of my time, and I dont plan on going back.

These guys treated me better than a high end dealership this weekend. Derrick got me an immediate appointment, accommodated a last minute schedule change; sold me what I needed, without any effort at upselling me; and, took great care of my car. I especially appreciated the time they took to clean oxides off my wheels rather than lather on goop. Our large family goes through lots of tires, brakes and oil. I am really happy to have a great place to go to get all those needs met. Im sorry I didnt learn the mechanics names so I could call them out personally. Thumbs up guys. Thanks.

I had an excellent experience when I brought my Subaru Crosstrek in for an inspection. Although my auto passed the inspection, the mechanic Derek brought me out to show me a couple things that needed attention, and he was very thorough and knowledgeable in explaining the issues. Since I was going on a road trip the next few days, I decided to take care of my rear brakes sooner than later. He scheduled me in the next day and had my brakes done in good time! I appreciated the excellent service and pleasant attitude he showed throughout my visit.

I went to this VIP after recently going off the road during a snow storm. My tire went flat, and I wanted to get a general check up. We worked with Derek, who always takes good care of us. He did a thorough check to make sure our car was okay, and was able to get the tire to stay inflated. We have done tire repairs here before, tire installations, oil changes, inspections, and more. They are conveniently located, but it is the great service and cost that keeps us coming back!

I had a complete flat tire. VIP was winding down for the night, with one person on duty - Asst. Manager Derek. He wasnt going to be able to help me, but then got creative and had a new tire on in 10 minutes. It was cold and dark, and wasnt his job, but he knew I really needed help. Amazing service! I had brake problems and called on a Tuesday afternoon after trying the dealership and told I would have to wait a week. This VIP said bring it over and well fix it today. And they did and at the same time Matt described the best tires for my Rogue and I made an appointment and have amazing Falken tires with an alignment. Great service, friendly and professional, I trust them with my SUV and they charge a fair price. I will continue to take my Rogue to this VIP. Thank you to Matt and the team!

I have found Matt and the team at VIP to be very trustworthy and caring for their customers and their vehicles. Definitely core qualities I look for in a mechanic. They continue to impress me every time I’m in the shop and have been coming with all of my vehicles for the last 5 years.

Had my car inspected here. Matt and Derek were so personable and friendly. Had to have new brake pads to pass inspection (they were squealing when I drove). Also needed a couple of small bulbs which they replaced at no cost. The shop is clean and air conditioned and has comfortable chairs to sit in. Best of all, there is a large glass window where you can sit and watch them work on your car! I appreciated that transparency. Matt gave me good car/tire tips while I waited, and Derek kept me entertained with stories about his life and animals. Very refreshing having just moved here to Maine and having very minimal human contact during the pandemic. I also had them replace my windshield wiper blades at minimal cost. All in all, it was a great experience. Will definitely continue to use them for my car service going forward.

I had awesome service when I brought my car in to have a noice by rear tires checked out. The mechanic brought me out to my car and showed me the problem and explained so that I could understand. Recently before I took a road trip this summer, I brought my car in to have the tires balanced and rotated. The service tech came out to my car and told me that my tires looked great and come back when I needed an oil change. I appreciate their honesty!

These guys are friendly and very professional and exclusively won my auto maintenance business.Last year, I was having engine performance issues (because I had taken too long to get an oil change). Rather than opening up the engine for a full diagnostic, they recommended just doing an oil change (because that usually can clear up old oil gunk), but if it was still struggling after a week to bring it back.I appreciate their effort and sincere desire to help me avoid unnecessary work and save m money.

Was way overdue for new tires, and stopped in to make a date, as I knew nothing about how to choose the tires. I was greeted by the assistant manager Derek, who warmly, patiently, and economically talked me through my options and had me out of there on great tires in under an hour! With free rotations for life, and one free oil change. Beat my dealership three ways just like that. Only downside (1 star off) is that unlike other non-dealer mechanics, they appear to lack the computer gizmo to reset my manufacturers tire pressure sensors. Ill have a little light on on my dash until I figure out what to do.

These are really friendly guys, they know what theyre doing. But after going in for a state inspection, they told me I needed upper and lower ball joints. They quoted me $2,200 and told me it would be an all day project. I decided for that kind of money that I would call around and get a second opinion. I went to another mechanic with great reviews. They told me my upper ball joints were completely fine, and the repair only cost me $500. I do not like to question mechanics, they do a lot for the community, but I would definitely shop around after getting a repair quote from these guys.Thanks, Finn

Weve been using Brunswick VIP service for our two cars for years. The work (sets of tires, brakes, oil changes, inspections) has always been terrific and at a fair price. What has made our experience even better is their expansion and renovation--the waiting room is much more comfortable and they added a coffee machine.

When I brought my car in for an inspection, I was cutting it close to the end of the day, and they managed to get everything all set the same day, so that I had my car back in working order in time to get to work the next morning. I have always had great experiences at VIP, but this location goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. I have worked with Derek several times and he has always been great to deal with. The staff is very knowledgeable and they do not try to push unnecessary services. With a busy schedule, it is nice that they are always able to fit me in right away, oftentimes the same day.

I came in to Brunswick VIP with a headlight that was out. I explained how I had the same headlight replaced only a few months ago, and left them the second headlight of a two pack I had bought from VIP in Bangor. I left my car and despite their busy schedule they found time to fix the headlight and had told me the person who replaced the previous one (me) had installed it upside down. They were happy to explain the proper way to do it, and put the new one in free of charge. It felt like their staff had gone out of their way to ensure my car was safe to drive and would stay that way. Matt the assistant manager was a great guy to chat with.

Derek greeted me, listened to my problem, gave me several options, all of which were to my advantage not to his. I went away and came back to Derek because I could not solve the problem myself and I was immediately set up with an appointment for 1st thing Saturday morning. Derek took my car in as soon as arrived, fixed my headlamp and told me no charge ( he had replacement bulbs available) and sent me on my way. I am one satisfied customer. I had a nail in my tire and went to VIP on Sunday. The staff was very friendly; patched my tire for me so I could get to work this week and I am going back to get 4 brand new tires this Friday. Received a great deal on the tires compared to other places; just as good if not better. Recent visits my daughter experienced was repairing winter wiper blades with spare parts they had instead of having to buy new ones. Great customer service all around!

I got a flat tire late on Saturday night and needed to get it fixed for a business trip first thing on Monday morning. I went to VIP Tires and service in Brunswick when they opened Sunday morning and was met by Derek Farrington. He took my tire in and said he would handle it personally. I should mention that Derek was the only guy there and was dealing with two other customers at the same time as me and I think all three of us got extraordinary service despite Derek working solo. I left the tire to give him some time and less than two hours later he called and said my tire was fixed. He put the tire back on my car in what seemed like a few seconds and I was on my way. I would highly recommend Derek to anyone needing service on their vehicle. He was friendly, helpful and fast!

Just got new headlights, couldnt replace them myself so my dad called Matt and asked him if they can put them in, they did it quickly and professionally and he was very friendly.

VIP Brunswick services two of our cars and has helped us with several projects. Most recently our timing belt snapped which harmed other parts of our engine. VIP researched it, called me with their plan to correct and had already found used parts to help reduce my costs. Ive worked with them enough times to have trust in what they say and confidence in their work. We will continue to refer them to friends.

I recently went to VIP in Brunswick cause there was a loud rattling in my car, and I thought my radiator was leaking. They looked at it promptly, and it turns out the rattling was a simple tube that could be cut off and didnt have to be replaced and the leaking was simply coming from the AC because there was residue left from a previous repair. I was able to get both my problems fixed for free!! I ended up having them replace 2 tires and overall it was a great experience.

Although there is a VIP closer to my home, I will now bring my business to this location. I brought in two vehicles and they quickly got me in and out and on my way. Derrick provided me with excellent service and great pricing! Looking forward to the expansion and new waiting room!

Ive gone here three times this summer since I moved back to Brunswick. They always do a great job, whether I had a tire pick up a nail, or if I cant offer any better description than my car squeaks when its warmed up, and I need it to stop.

In my 63 years of car ownership I have had service and repair in California, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Florida, New York City and Maine. And I say truthfully and unequivocally that these guys are the best I have experienced.....on a consistent 3+ year basis. The small extra is always taken care of. But the best customer service that they perform is to have KNOWLEDGEABLE TECHS who do a great job, every time.
