WORST Customer service yesterday. As the nail tech was doing my nails, he talked very rudely to me and talked very rudely about a former employee (which was a very polite talented nail artist who never rushed me).He rushed me and said they don’t take more than an 1 hour and 20 minutes on acrylic nails (which when you’re getting designs, usually take more than 1 hour and 20 minutes). When I was trying to explain and show him what color and designs I wanted, he told me I did not know what I wanted! He kept talking about other designs and colors that I did not want at all as I still kept trying to explain what I wanted. When he could not do the designs I asked for, he raised his voice, embarrassed me, told me he was done, told me to go to the front, and said I was wasting his time. Clearly they care about how many customers they get and not on giving a good customer experience. When I first got there, I asked if they could do designs and I thought they could achieve the nails I wanted as I was told he was “a very good designer nail tech.” They get very rude and aggressive when they could not do the nails you want. And on top of that, the manager/owner raised his voice as well saying no one could do the design I wanted! (which was a very easy design!) If I am paying for designed nails, I expect them to look good as that’s what I’m paying for! And they couldn’t even get the right color! So now I have to settle for a bad job and wrong nail color! ! He gave me a hard time for wanting a good design and a certain color of ombré. Instead of getting a good ombré, he painted them nude. Obviously he couldn’t distinguish the right color. I did not expect rushed service and definitely did not expect to have been treated so rudely. They do not do a good job on custom designs. Below on the 2nd photo is what I wanted but with long nails, and 2 little designs. The 1st picture is what they did on me.They also did a pedicure which was not bad but I did not like the color as it didn’t match the color on the example tray. But overall good pedicure, but worst service for acrylic nails!They are cleared focused on a time limit, not on good quality nails, and definitely not good friendly customer service.

Not even a week with my shellac and all nails are chipped!Super long waiting time, rude and cheap products that didn’t last last not even a week. Rushed through both pedicure and manicure. Never going back. 0 stars!!

It was my first time here along with my sister. We did not like it at all! First off they gave her a hard time for wanting different shades for dip and she ended up only getting one color because of how much trouble they were giving her. They ended up doing a horrible job on her nails too. The dip came out super bulky and her hair started catching her hair a day later.. IYKYK. My nails came out nice but a day later they started cracking and that has never happened to me before. I’ve had dip many many times and I’ve never had my nails crack like that and also have never had a tech cut me as much. Would definitely not recommend.

I’ve attempted to go twice to this place. Once they said it was an hour wait but that was fine since there was some shopping to be done and I didn’t mind the hour wait since they said they would call when it was our turn. After an hour or so and no call, went to check in and said it would still be another 30-40 minutes. Decided it was too much and left. Decided to give the place another chance a couple of weeks later but they made an even worse transgression than making me wait. They seated and took a walk in after me. I was there first and signed up for my services and then another lady walked in after me but then she got serviced first. That, to me, was worse than making me wait. I told the lady to cancel my request and I left. These people need to be more organized and professional.

Loved the pedicure, it was done fast and looks very pretty. My technician Peter was quiet, but nice. The premises are super nice and clean! Only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel like the girls could be a little friendlier. I arrived about 7 min late to my appt and was told my technician took another client because they only have a 5 min tolerance. I understand this, especially at a nail salon, but the girls did not make me aware when booking the appt and they werent very nice when they explained it to me. They havent been very friendly in past visits either. One of the male technicians later told me that, if I am running late next time, I could just call in to inform them, which I appreciated. Overall, great experience and will definitely be back.

It was a 30 dlls manicure in less than 20 minutes, my 4 year old could have colored them better.

Quality of service does not match their prices. My acrylic nails are hideous 😭🤣 so wide and thick. I kept telling the lady to fix it and I feel like she tried but she just didn’t know how to. I expected good looking nails for what they charge but left extremely disappointed. I’m only giving it 2 stars because the place was clean and receptionist was nice. Other than that save your money and go somewhere else.

I received a coupon for 5 dollars off thru and decided to go even with the previous experience. I got there and showed the girl the coupon, she said to just show it when I pay. They accused me of having already used it and then the owner said they had been having trouble with their system. Instead of providing decent service after my last experience she said it wasnt her fault and didnt even bother overriding it. Like any other business with great customer service who like to keep their customers. Then they charged me 17 dollars more than usual because the gas went up! And the pointed to a small paper written in marker prices went up. WOW! Care to tell me that when I first arrive I even have an account with them so its not like I WAS a first timer. I will never step foot in that place.

Polite people. Product is cheap quality. Got a shellac manicure and in less than 2 days my manicure started to chip off. I went back 4 days later so they can fix the 6 nails that had chipped, and again within a few days my shellac nails chipped!!

As a busy teacher and toddler mom whose husband works multiple jobs, I usually do not treat myself. But this past summer, I decided to begin taking better care of myself and chose Cosmo Nails for gel mani and pedi because of the good reviews. My first experience was excellent. The receptionist was attentive and Tony, one of the managers, is always kind. And the nail tech did a great job, so I decided to go back. On the second visit, the tech was nice, but he removed the gel with a nail drill because it takes less time, which damages the nail bed. He also painted the color too thin and despite me having to politely ask for extra coats, the pedi was see through in the end. I made my appointment a month in advance, so I also did not appreciate being rushed in and out by the manager, Vicky, so she could squeeze in several people who arrived without appointments minutes before closing. And because they squeezed people in, the receptionist was not attentive and did not ask if I wanted a drink, which is included with the service. When I called to make my next appointment, I politely mentioned these concerns. I also requested the tech from my first appointment for all future visits because she did a better job. I went yesterday for my third appointment and the service was horrific. Certain staff had taken my constructive criticism personally. I made my appointment several weeks in advance and arrived early, but my requested tech was late, so I ended up with the gentleman from the second appointment again. He again removed my polish with a drill, but he did do a great job on the pedi this time. I was nice and I did not complain even though I do not like the drill. I also tipped him well for his work. My requested tech arrived, so she took over for the mani. And she was extremely mad and aggressive from the start. She was rushing through the mani at lightning speed, roughly grabbing my fingers, continually hitting my skin with the nail drill, and literally ripping off pieces of cuticle with the scissors. I asked her politely to even out a nail because since she was rushing it was extremely crooked and she became visibly annoyed. Then I noticed that two nails had bright red lines where blood vessels were showing through the overly drilled areas. They also hurt a little. I politely mentioned this to the tech so she would be aware not to drill there anymore and all hell broke loose. She stormed off yelling and cursing and refused to do my nails anymore. The manager, Vicky, had to finish up and all the while, she was rushing the service and was loudly reprimanding me for her tech’s poor behavior. She said I was “too picky” and none of her techs wanted to do my nails. Seriously? It is definitely not “too picky” to politely request that my nails not be over drilled, so that I can keep them on my fingers. Vicky also loudly accused me in front of the other customers of having overly thinned nails due to constantly using acrylics. Anyone who knows me well would see this as laughable. I literally just started getting manis and I have never had fake nails in my life. I have nothing against them, but they are high-maintenance, which is not me at all. I do not even wear makeup every day. Vicky was obviously trying to turn the damaged nails around on me to save face when the damage was definitely caused by her techs using the drill to remove the gel at my second and third appointments. I was pretty upset, but I chose not to let it show. Instead, I maintained my composure and responded to Vicky quietly and with a kind, even tone of voice. I did not want to be wrongfully accused of intentionally causing problems or mistreating anyone. After a while, Vicky calmed down and began speaking normally. Her tech should be reprimanded, but that will not happen. And I get that they do not need my business. They have plenty of customers. I tipped well for the pedi, but not for the mani. And I will not return. I can do my own mani and remove the gel safely. If you want healthy nails and to be treated with kindness, do not go here. Only Tony is kind.

When I first came to the door I had to get on wait list, once they called me to come in I had to wait another30 mins. I then got a lady to do my nails mind you this I showed the ladies in the front what design I wanted, once I sat down to do my nails the lady tried to convince me to do another design because the person that knows how to do what I wanted was busy so I would have to wait. So I then decided to get something a bit more simple and got switched to aMan doing my nails, he also try to convince me to get something else than what I showed him so I went ahead and let him do my nails but at the end of doing my nails with him he told me he did not have time. So I only left with acrylic nails with one simple color I wanted to rhyme stones and glitter but he said he did not have time.

This was the best nail salon I’ve been to by far. Tammy did mnails so perfect and the quality of my nails is amazing. I’ve gotten so many compliments already. I got dipping on my nails for the first time and I loved it. The place was so clean and fancy inside unlike any other nail place I’ve been to.

Theyre a few week old and hard worked but still going. Theyre quite friendly and do a good job.

Always amazingly satisfied! The staff is down to earth and always willing to make your nails visions come true!!!! The Salon is very clean and the staff is constantly sanitizing. Highly recommend!

The nail technicians are very polite and friendly. They are extremely careful especially with me since 4 years ago I had a stroke and can’t move my leg very well so they are cautious when trimming my toenails on the left foot. But other than that I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for relaxing time.

My girlfriend was seated immediately because the tech thought “she had an event” even when my girlfriend never said that, the nail tech didnt want to do her first design choice because she felt that she didnt have enough time when it was her decision to have her seated and rush because another client had an appointment coming up. when the nail tech finished the color was off and my girlfriend had an overall bad experience.i would not recommend this place 👎

I asked for regular polish on toes and they polished them with shellac. Nail tech that polished my nails did a messy job on my toe nails AND finger nails. My fingers were stained with nail polish she removed from nails.

I love going to get my nails done; however, youre better off making an appointment, since they are so busy ☺️! I used to love it when I could just walk in, but Im glad their business survived the pandemic ❤️!

I had a bad experience, my nails were filed and ended up getting super thin because the guy kept getting distracted and having to constantly deal with other employees problems. Mind you I had long healthy nails and they filed them short after I told them not to. The color wasn’t true to the samples they had and came out really thick and hard to remove. This place should not be the best in brownsville and if I could give it 0 stars I would.

The service was amazing. I asked for the green tea detox pedicure and did not disappoint. The salon is super clean and employees are friendly. Highly recommended as they service you fairly quick.

So my daughter called asking if they were still taking customers, she was told they would take us as long as we were there by 6:30 pm, we get there at 6pm just to be told they werent doing acrylics anymore, if theyd told her that when she called, she wouldnt of had to make the drive from Port Isabel, we wouldve looked elsewhere for a place that was. Very disappointed.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I have just moved to Brownsville, and have been searching high and low for a new nail place. Not gonna lie I’m pretty picky. Been disappointed many times, but this place is hands down the best place by far. Service was quick to get me to a chair, but really took their time with my set, and made sure I was happy with it. Very friendly, and made great conversation. Really made me feel welcome, and reassured me I was in good hands. Really really really recommend for sure!!!

Had my appointment at 1:30 was not seen til 2:30, they had me jumping around from employee to employee til finally someone did my nails. Once at the counter they charged me extra for shaping which I already had the same exact shape then wanted to change story to nails being longer than normal. Owner is rude and doesn’t even let you talk. The receptionist was very helpful and understanding although he couldn’t do anything about the situation. This will be my first and last time placing a foot in this business!!

Went there for the first time about a week ago and I just have to say wow! They were so detail oriented and you get a free drink included if you’re 21+ 😉 My acrylic nails were definitely worth it and if you’re like me and have been looking for a place that executes the almond shape beautifully, then this is the place to go!

The lady said it was plus 5 dollars for a design. I kept asking if i get a different design on my other hand would i have to pay extra they said no then charged me another 5 dollars then offered to take them off if i was not happy with the price in a very rude manner. The design is cute but i feel like it could have been done better somewhere else. And the gel seems to be applied unevenly. Never going there again. The ladies seem nice until you tell them what was never explained.

Only the BEST Nail salon in Brownsville hands down. None of the nail techs disappoint. I’ve gone with Linda T., Ken, and Derrick and they all do phenomenal work. They are very hygienic and provide excellent customer service with quality work. I am always happy to show off my nails whenever I get a fresh set!

Great nail salon. They did mention to me on Fridays they are not open to walk-ins but they still attended me. They are very polite and make sure you get a drink to enjoy. The nails lasted me a great amount of time before I noticed any breakage/damage. Overall loved their work.

My first time at COSMO NAIL BAR was an excellent experience. The salon is very clean with modern decor. The staff is polite and professional. Magda was the nail tech who did my pedicure. As soon as I sat down she offered me a drink( They have many beverages to choose from) She did an amazing job.I liked that they have 3 types of pedicures which range from 25dlls, 35dlls and 50dlls. I was also told by Madga about the. 2 types of manicures they have which I will have one the next time I go in. They have a 10 person minimum so call in advance. They also check your temperature at the door. They are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of COVID. I highly recommend this place. COSMO NAIL BAR is amazing 💅💅 💅....

I wanted shellac manicure on my Natural nail And they offered powder instead. I never gotten it Before they said it was better ... they charged me 38dls just for the powder no manicure if I would have known I would have stick to my shellac manicure and pulse the powder makes my nails look like I have acrylic nails, if I wanted acrylic nails I wouldn’t let my nails grow ... pedicure was great through got the lavender one guy really took his time painting everything in place ...

The best nail salon Ive been to in Brownsville so many colors to choose from not just the typical, and Derek is such a perfectionist I loved it! He left my nails perfectly shaped and even, the shellac application was perfect. Totally recommend this place!

This place had excellent service at first...until all these unnecessary charges came about back in Georgia we don’t get charge extra for the tip separate from the gel pedicure price, but apparently here they do. That’s not even the half of it, I then wanted French tips but instead of asking me what I wanted she went and put thick white lines which I did not want nor did I ask for and when I told her to take it off she was very rude and wanted to charge me extra to take off and charge me to get what I actually wanted... I high recommend going else where not worth the rude management

It was my first time going to this place, and I loved it at first. But oh no never going back again. I got a full set acrylic nails with shallac, first nail broke exactly a week later, went back to fix it, and that same nail that was fixed broke again on Sunday.It’s been one week and 3 days and a total of 4 nails have broken right in the middle!Do not recommend this place at all!

Very nice place but the drinks are cheap, I got a pedicure she didn’t even cleaned my feet right at all!! Feels like I didn’t even got a pedi...I choose a bright green and the lady “idk her name” wanted to put white on the under the color I said I just want the color nicely. I guess she got offended and she said I don’t think we are going to understand each other and just left and called someone else to finish my nails very unprofessional!! Never again!!
