Ehhh could have been better. Customer is definitely better and faster than Hertz. Very pricey for a small compact vehicle that was given to me that had one brake tail light out not working and an expired plate tag. The entire vehicle smelled like cigarettes when it was given to me and smoking is prohibited inside Enterprise rental vehicles. Made an early reservation and the vehicle wasnt ready until a different day and I wasnt the only one.

We rented a van a few months ago and unfortunately left some valuable items in the vehicle. Good thing is that the employee was able to find it. Bad thing is he mentioned that he would send it out, asked me to pay for a shipping label, which I did. And sent it to him. Several months later I have yet to receive the item. I’d say I’d ask for a compensation or ate least the item be returned. I admit I shouldn’t have left the item but customer service was under par.

I made a reservation for a truck with a early month for a trip asking for a truck pick up, and the lady from the office turned the truck to someone else on the exact day of my trip.

This was my first time renting from this location, made the reservation a week ago for an SUV, and when I come in today, the agent tells me he only has a minivan available because other people havent returned the vehicles. How do you run a successful business by blaming your customers for your mistakes? The lot should have at least 1 or 2 extra vehicles per class, or just not let us make a reservation, mind you a week out, if theyre not going to have it available. If I was managing or working at this location and I see theres reservations made, it would be my priority that I have the vehicles to cover those reservations.

Worst experience in decades of travel! We had 10 people that arrived on 24th of March into Brownsville. TX. We had 2 reservations for car and suburban. When we arrived they not only didnt had the Suv for 8 of us but we went 6 days without a vehicle. We paid over $200 to get to Laguna Vista. We made numerous phone calls and received no compensation and or a vehicle to transport our group. I will never use Enterprise again. They turned their phones off on the 25th and we were told several times they would have a vehicle for us within.24 hours. They indicated they had 2 transports coming in on.the 25th to accommodate the 17 reservations they had no cars for. After 4 days we gave up and changed our plans for the 10 people. Terrible experience!
I dont have a problem with Enterprise at all, Ive been renting with them for years, this is my second time renting from this location in Brownsville Texas, I always reserve it online and I got the same guy every time I went to the location. I reserved a compact car both times but this time around the guy gives me a minivan that someone just turned in (I didnt want a minivan) because he said that was what they had left even though I reserved it a week out. I drove off the parking lot only to find that he gave me the minivan with only about 1/8th of a tank left. For some reason I always feel marginalized and undervalued with this guy every time I do business with him.***Update***11-09-2020I rented from this location again and the service was much better this time, a different agent helped me out, he was professional and business minded, the experience was great, they even dropped me off.***Update***One caveat, this location never seems to have the proper car class that you reserve prior even though the reservation was made a week before online. For example, I always seem to get placed into a minivan or a compact car after I reserved a regular sized car online. Full disclosure, I used my Enterprise points one time and reserved a regular sized rental at a great rate and was still placed in a compact car. This is probably my 5th rental at this particular location. I am not blaming Enterprise the company, I have had good experiences renting with them over the years. My customer service experiences have been mostly pleasant with one particular reservation representative and spotty at best with a different one.

Great service. No problems at all and it was a quick check out due to the fact that I ordered rental online first so by the time I got to the counter, the process didnt take much longer. The returning of the vehicle was quick also and the staff member named Disney was a sweetheart, very kind and professional. My son forgot his earbuds in the vehicle and she was an honest person and even signaled us as we were leaving that we had forgotten my sons earbuds. I love honest people! Thank you Enterprise. Sometimes theres a wait to get a vehicle but if youre really serious about getting any vehicle just to get back on the road, I suggest to show up in person and wait in the lobby for faster service.

It was horrible. First time renting a car, and explained fees and rules, after I brought in the car. Made it seem like it was my fault, even though the guy that did the paper work was there. What horrible customer service.
You did not have the size car (4 cylinder) available that I reserved so was upgraded to a brand new suv (8 cylinder). I thoroughly enjoyed everything with the exception of the gas consumption of course. Staff for pick up and return were really great. Will definitely rent again as I usually rent from Enterprise when the need arises.
Gentleman that picked me up at work very noce and courteous. Vehicle had a 1/4 tank left of gas but he said he would mark it as empty on the contract so that I would not have to worry about filling it up. All the employees very respectful. Would definitely recommend that offoce to anyone and would go back if I ever need another rental.
We reserved a van well over a week ago in anticipation of moving my son out of an apartment located a few hours away. We arrived at the designated time and they had no van—nor did they have a similar option available (though they said their Pharr location had one). We had a budget set for this move and we needed a vehicle quickly as we had a move out deadline looming. We ended up going to Hertz in Harlingen. We ended up paying about $120 more for the rental of a van. I am very disappointed with enterprise. I made a reservation for a van for a reason yet they didn’t even care enough to have something similar made available at the time we needed to leave. Reservations are absolutely meaningless to these people. Never again.

I love that I can just easily make reservations online, however, I’ve had two experiences, after reserving months ahead of time of my travel, I go and pick up the vehicle on my travel date, only to find out that the vehicle I was in NEED of was not available at the store location I chose to do business with...this was frustrating. Good thing is, they did try to remedy the situation, but I had to drive an extra 30 minutes to Harlingen to pick up the vehicle that I needed to accommodate my disabled father in law. Nevertheless, Enterprise has always come through for my travel needs.

The car itself was good. No issues with that. It seems the site may need more employees/better training.I called various times and most of the times I had to hold a couple of minutes before the phone was answered.I was picked up late so I received my car 30 minutes later than I had chosen. I had called in to set up the pickup and was advised to call again 15 minutes prior to remind them. I called in and waited about 5 minutes for them to pick up the phone. The person who answered stated they had no one available to do the pickup. When I advised I had called in earlier he said he would have someone pick me up as soon as they could. Hence the late pick up. Additionally I was mistakenly told I could do an after hours drop off. I dropped off the car within 30 minutes after. Come to find I was charged for 3 days instead of the one. I am pending reimbursement of the extra charges after speaking to the manager.Update: I was reimbursed the additional charges within a couple of days.
Only 1 star so I could post a review and let you all know how bad they were ... I recently had some work done on my vehicle and my insurance provided a rental . Enterprise was the provider and wow the staff is very unknowing of there own inner workings and led me to believe something that was too good to be true and I even asked repeatedly if what I thought they were telling me was what they meant the staff reassured me it was . Well come the end of the week and time to pay was when my initial gut feeling became a reality and they wanted to boned me with a 150+ bill instead of a 40 something bill I was initially quoted . Once I began to explain the situation at hand to the manager in front of other clients he was quick to whisk me into the office and close the door . Any who after I explained what his employee had quoted me time and time again he came to the conclusion the what the kid had done was a mistake on there end and thus had to reduce my bill to the original quoted price . The way he went about it was he made it seem he was doing me a favor in reducing the price for me, the issue wasnt paying whats so ever it was the principal of the original quote . Guess they need to brief the employees on proper quotes from here on out so as this doesnt happen again to someone else....

We rented a new Cadillac SUV. One hour North of Corpus the Transmission locked gears and broke down. This company has a poor vehicle inspection crew. And were slow to send help and did not respond to our dire need on a dark-lonely highway.
The staff (Mina, Jesus, Melissa, David and others) have always been very friendly and always pick me up or drop me off when I need a ride (just a call away). They always push to ensure that I am satisfied with my rental as I do many rentals due to work. Recently a car crashed into my rental (left panel damage) and they exchanged the car that same day. Not once have I had a complaint on how amazing this office is. Keep up the great work!
I rent vehicles at Enterprise frequently on bus 77/83 and the staff is awesome, they are professional at its best, been so busy at times with one Rep. And still getting the job done. I booked my rental online for the weekend the same day I was going to pick it up. I got to the enterprise location, they pulled up my rental info and I was out of there in no more than 20 minutes. I thought that was great as I was already in a hurry and they moved quickly with my rental process. They were also able to drop me off after I returned my rental. Awesome job guys keep it up!! :)
As soon as i got the vehicle the tire pressure icon came on. I took the car back and was told I needed to take it to firestone. I asked if I could get another vehicle as I needed to travel. I was told yes then I was told no. The rep, Maggie, was nice enough to take it to get checked. In the future, the tires should be inspected before loaning out the vehicle.
Didnt have my vehicle, said they would call back by 1 p.m., and I had to call before 5, hoping they wouldnt close. After long waits and being hung up on twice, I still didnt have a vehicle. I had offered to go to another location to get the vehicle myself earlier in the day, but I was told they would handle it - the branch manager failed to do so. Love Enterprise, but this location is lacking. If you cant handle a request, dont book it, say there isnt availability. Waste of time. Bad management.

I rent from Enterprise roughly once a month. The staff at the US-83 location is always friendly and accommodating. On occasion there will be an issue and they invariably work towards customer satisfaction.Months ago I rented a car that smelled of cigarettes and had coffee stains all over the back seat. I complained to the local manager who promised to make it up to me on my next visit and he did. Upon my recent visit he offered a discount or upgrade to my full size rental and wound up with a luxury mini van with leather seats all the expected upgrades. Big thank you to local manager, David Cabrera.

I went around 5:00 to pick up a car that we had reserved a week ahead of time. The place was swamped with people sitting and standing everywhere looking impatient and angry. I quickly understood why as there were only three attendants trying to simultaneously manage answering the phone, checking in cars, checking out cars and deal with every other random thing. I have never waited so long to pick up a rental car! And just FYI, all the people that came in as walk-ins trying to snatch a car without a reservation got turned away because apparently there were no cars available. So better make a reservation. And better yet, go to a different rental center. This place was ridiculous!

They are always very nice, but they are usually understaffed. For such a busy rental, Enterprise should hire more personnel. You advertise that you give rides to the airport and twice the person has told me they arealone.Great people working at the rental and when I feel they know me and my rental needs they are gone. Usually transferred to Harlingen or Mercedes. Is this agency the training one? This has been going on for a couple of years now.

I wasnt very pleased with the rental. I had the car pick up scheduled at 5 pm but wasnt given the car until 5:45. The representative told me that they were getting the car ready. I saw a gentleman washing cars and mine was the third one so I figured they were going to wash it. Well after all the waiting, I was given the car. Once I was driving it I realized that it was very dirty. Then the front passenger window did not work. When I returned the rental I mentioned it to the representative and she said that she knew that the guy who washed the cars never did a good job. 😔

I recently rented a car from you, on line. I had to get to that location by bus. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was so tired, but the service was quick and friendly. I love Enterprise.
I made my reservations months in ahead as Im working overseas. When I went to pick up a nice luxury denied because I dont have a major credit card and offered to pay in cash. I felt I was discriminated, because I had money but no major credit card. I bring business to them but they dont want it. To the male receptionist that was there today he was not helpful, all about the rules not even a professional. I went to another car rental and they gladly helped and took my debit card which had more than sufficient amounts of funds . With this experience I will not recommend Enterprise to any military service member or retired military. Yes you just lost my business and got a bad review in the process.

Reserved a car on Saturday I didnt get information that there was no cars available at the time. So I went to the car agency and there was none available to rent. Someone could of called me to inform me there was none available, I had even called in. I had to pay a uber twice to pick me up and then to drop me off again at home.
Really bad service.I made a reservation to pick up the car for 12:30pm, they didnt have any car on their lot. They gave me a car that other customer returned (free upgrade) until 1:40pm.Never game me a reason why they didnt have the car that I requested.They never explain me correctly the insurance and I declined, but they still charge itReally bad service by all the personnel specially George.They were really rude with me, they told me that they could not help and they dont care if i dont want to make business again.They are a cheap company with the lease but they are going to find a way to get their money.BE CAREFUL.

Great car but dont get stumped by additional fees...a $200 deposit is automatically added to your bill upon arrival n retuned when car is taken back without any damage. Dont get extra coverage bc the 200 is used for damages if any should occur.

Common courtesy level: 100!!!I rented a vehicle from the Brownsville airport @10pm, the next day I noticed it was dirty. Hadnt been vacuumed, nor washed.I worked all day and stopped by this location to change vehicles afterwards. The Branch Manager: David Cabrera handled the situation with the upmost attention to customer service.I stepped in at 5:58 PM, they closed at 6:00 PM. The employees attended to me even though it was almost closing time.They pulled the car around, washed it and vacuumed it.This was a great customer service experience.

My parents rented an SUV from this location and for work reasons they had to drive back on Christmas day. Christmas morning we discovered they had a flat tire due to a nail. Enterprise Road Service advised us to try and find a place that could patch the tire and take the receipt back to the rental office for a refund. We managed to get the tire fixed and when they returned the vehicle, GEORGE MACIAS with the title of Manger-in-Training had HORRIFIC customer service. He immediately disregarded my parents situation and the fact that their trip had to be altered due to the flat and kept saying it was not his problem and there was nothing he could do. If this is the type of manager that Enterprise wants to use, we are all better off giving our business to another company. The only reason this is not a one star review is because my parents continued to persist that something had to be done he gave them one day of credit. He could have done this from the beginning and kept loyal customers that rent from him every major holiday. Instead hes lost their business and mine.
