I took my son’s friend for twists and honestly had a blast! Shan got us in very fast and we were friends instantly. She did a great job, too! Marnard kept me entertained and we left happy and feeling like family. I’ve never felt so welcome in a new place, it was really refreshing! I highly recommend the hair studio for fades, braids and twists in the Tulsa area!

Shannon Whitaker is the only female hair stylist there. She does a wonderful job on ethnic hair, so if you are Black and looking for a great place to go, its Hair Studio. Shannons skill is not limited to ethnic hair, and she does adults teens and little children as well, but call to make an appointment with her as shes very busy.

Too much talking. Like gotta be able to talk and cut. Waited over an hour and 1 person was in the chair the whole time. Not to mention the list people sign up and then leave but get right in the chair when they return? Gotta fix this issue spent half a day waiting on a haircut.

This is my first visit to a barbershop since the mid 1960’s – yes, the mid 1960’s. Ever since the Black Power and the Black Consciousness movements of the 60’s, I have always worn my hair in its natural state – the “Natural” hairstyle, celebrating the kinkiness. And because of my African heritage, my hair does not grow long, and combing it naturally thins it.Marnard Grant was my barber, and he did a wonderful job. He promised that my wife would still recognize me, and like the look. He even felt that she should take me out to dinner. But I am still working on that.

I dont usually give reviews about places owned by blacks but they need to see this so theyll be more mindful of their clients! When doing walkins, especially when its a high amount of us walking in please advise customers that 1 their will be a long wait, 2 if you leave youll loose your spot 3 when its only 2 of you, you dont have time to casually talk and gossip! Save all of that for a slow day! Hope you listen and take this advise because its great for buisness and courtsey for unsuspecting customer!!
