Nice atmosphere, a lot of maintenance going on but not a henderance to whatever i needed to do.

Clean, clean, clean! Programs for all ages — personal training, swim lessons and group fitness studios for cardio, kickbox, yoga, cycle and more. Impressed w the recent upgrades and tenacity through COVId. Leadership and staff are top notch.

We were guests of my brother and sister in law on two separate days and both times we didnt feel very welcome. The staff at the front desk and the guards were okay but not super friendly. And one of these swim instructors was downright rude. Cant imagine how they would treat us if we were actual members.

This place is actually really good. I was just passing through, looking for a place to get a good lift and I was expecting a bunch of cardio equipment but they actually have all the equipment needed.

My child was left in the kids gym today... Our first visit. He told me the guy that worked there and was watching them wouldnt let him play Xbox because he was ... Annoyed but whatever... What really got me was I wasnt asked for an identification when i picked my child up. Made me feel like anyone could just walk out the door with my kid. Really making me question leaving him in there anymore.. Its one of the reasons i signed up because no one else offers affordable childcare.. Literally just signed up yesterday and already having sketchy issues. I dont know if thats the process or if that kid just didnt ask me.. But it scared me to know that... Because all i did was call my kids name and he came running to me. As i said, just a little sketchy.. Especially considering the times we live in.Edited to add: I was contacted today by staff and they are looking into this for me. I was assured it is not their policy to ask for ID (because we have to scan to get in, in the first place which I can understand), but they do usually confirm a childs leaving with the correct person. I appreciate the call and will definitely give it another chance. Hoping it was an isolated incident. Impressed with the quick response and really appreciate it.

Many workers have came to as very rude to me and my kid, they tend to get into peoples business as if their bills arent getting paid by us.

Great for fun day with the family, a lot of activities for everyone dont matter of your age. Great stuff. Babysitter is available, pool and so much more.

I owe the YMCA a lot. Growing up it was a place where I could learn to swim better and I was invited to take a lifeguard class and work there in high school. I really know about the pool there more than other parts of it, though I walk through its clean facility every week and use the womens locker room. I like the mood of the Y in Bristol, interested in improving and strengthening the body, especially open and accessible across all ranges of income, very teaching. The people who go there are varied in personality, and that is something that socially is rewarding to dip into as I chose. I chat with Shamus or the womens bathroom cleaner, with Dream at the front desk or Angie, with the lifeguards of whom I could list many.There is something about Bristol Y people that I really regard highly. Its not just a gym but a community place and with that comes the nurturing and looking out between people. I grew up with my Mom working in one of the after school programs. There is a certain component to a foundation as long standing as the Bristol Y and a peace there in the pool waters I cant seem to find anywhere else when Im in the waters with my ears under, swimming deep.I am a critical person by nature but I learned to let go of my biggest qualm with the Y, so I wont mention it here.Thanks for helping me find what is important to me under your waters, together.

Nice facility and really nice staff.

It has a lot for the whole family and nice equipment. Especially the free weights. Has all amenities that even the newer YMCA doesnt have. Most all staff are friendly and so are the people who go here. The only downside is the hot tub needs to be updated but at least you get one. Like I said, the other facilities dont even have one. As with all places there are people that do not take the fact that it is a Christian based facility into account. Most do though! We drive about 35 minutes and skip Kingsport which is only about 10-15 minutes away from my house. My family and I visit here quite regularly and I would recommend to anyone.

Just become a member a few weeks ago really love it. Its an awsome place cant wait to go again tomorrow...

The facility is great to use, its clean and a nice environment. The staff is usually nice, but had an encounter with one of the staff members at the kids gym and he was rude. I couldnt find the sign in sheet and he acted like it wasnt his problem. I had to ask him and he said he wasnt on the clock, but he got the sheet however I couldnt help but feel like I was a burden because he wasnt able to help someone because he wasnt on the clock.

I was a member of this gym since 1999. I loved it then and continued to love the upgrades. They have a wide variety of pretty much everything and they are a huge facility. Everything was always clean and if a machine wasnt in working order, all you had to do was just tell them and they would fix it. I had to cancel my membership because my husband and I moved. I have yet to find a facility that has everything the Bristol YMCA had. I did miss the towel service, but hey, just bring your own. I will say that they probably need to do some building upgrades in the future, especially on the ceilings. Other than that, its a great gym and I really miss being a member there.

Nice place to work out, take a swim, or weight train. They offer lots of lead classes as well as offering a video lead system that has plenty of workouts & classes on demand.

I just called to try and get some information and the lady answering your telephones was very short and rude. This is a family oriented establishment and it seems you should have someone with a little better people skills receiving calls for information. Dont usually complain but ridiculous!! I did tell her I hoped she had a better and blessed day!!! Maybe that will change her attitude some. Thank you!!

This place keeps getting better and adding more options. If you are looking for the best selection of activities and work out options then this is for you. Price is affordable in comparing to other gyms and facilities.

I workout here 5days a week. It has options for Advanced and for those just starting. This is a judge free zone with many different classes to attend as well. There is also a daycare that is great !!

Separate steam, whirlpool, and saunas for men and women, two indoor pools (one very warm). Just one of those old fashioned Ys that was built right.

Note it’s absolutely ridiculous that I was charged an extra 20 dollars for me and my brother to sit and WATCH my nephew swim for an hour. Yet another example of the innocent being punished for the poor choices of others. Thanks Y! 😑If it wouldn’t have broken my nephews heart I would have left, guaranteed I won’t be back.

The Y is an awesome place theres lots of things to do, to work out things to do for teenagers and adults, I would recommend the YMCA to anyone, love it !

Used to go as a teengaer around 04 and i currently been going there for about 2 years. Me my gf and 2 kids go often and they all love it. The ppl that run the kids gym are great and theres plenty to do. Great place to workout and bring the family

Great place to exercise

Staff is not very friendly and very rude. They should be more kind to the kids who pay money every month so they can get a pay check. On april 29th i had an experience with a staff wearing a maroon dress and she was very rude and it was very unacceptable. Never coming back again and alot of other people have agreed and made the same decision as i have.

This place is effective for all workout needs but does have several people who use it as a social club.

I have membership and need to go more often lol good weight and Cardio equipment, I like the indoor pool, hottub, sauna and steam room. I plan to start making better use of my membership and lose some weight! :)
