Very responsive and efficient, albeit a long way from our house. A more local company wouldn’t even bother to schedule me and gave me a 2-month window which is unacceptable. I would most definitely recommend Scarritt.

Bought my tub used about 6 years ago from Scarritt. They are my go to people if I have an issue. They will happily walk your through any possible fix you can do yourself and do not seem intent on getting money for a service call if it is not absolutely necessary.

I thought this feedback should be shared. We have been longtime customers of Scarritt’s over 20 years. We dealt with the original owner Jim and then for the past 10 years or so their son Dave who took over the business. We bought our hot tub from them, pool and spa chemicals had many service calls, and most recently we hired them for a pool lining replacement.We chose Scarritt’s to do our pool liner installation because we already had a relationship, and we wanted a company that would stand behind their work, installation and overall quality of the job. We received several quotes and even though Scarritt’s was the most expensive, we still chose them. We wanted a company with longevity.Approximately 2 years after the installation of the liner, the liner started to come out of the area where it goes into the coping (in the deep end of the pool). We called them for a service call. Eventually after a few months (they were not timely), they came out to fix it. We thought this should have been covered under warranty, however it was not. They charged us for it indicating that the work was only warranted for a year. They also indicated that this can occur and sometimes happens. I don’t know why this would occur as it was brand new and I wouldn’t expect it to with a new installation. Our prior/existing pool liner was in place for over 20+ years with no issues, we replaced it because of fading and because it was getting old.We are not happy with the outcome, even though they eventually fixed it and for the charge associated to the repair. We thought the repair should have been covered under warranty. In the future we will no longer be doing business with Scarritt’s as there is no need to pay a premium for a product if the company will not stand behind it. We can go to anyone and pay to get a job done and then fixed after the fact.Brad & Catherine Chhabra

We have used Scarritt for the past 7 years and are on our second hot tub with them. The service they provide is top notch. They are extremely responsive, customer focused and are always happy to answer questions. They also stand by their work.I highly recommend Scarritt.

This is the least professional company I’ve ever worked with. They failed to open my pool, ignored me explaining this would be a difficult job since the pool hadn’t been taken care of in a few years. They took my filter and never returned it, I had to travel to them to pick it up and install it myself. They have zero communication skills and would show up without notice. After not hearing from them for several months they send an invoice for more money. What exactly would I be paying for? All you did was remove the cover of the pool and poured chemicals in and disappeared. My pool was never set up correctly, the pump was never put back together and the water never went clear. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and have told this horror story to anyone who will listen. I would never recommend you to anyone. Luckily we found an amazing local pool company who brought our pool back to life no thanks to you.

We have had nothing but issues with Scaritt Spas and pools. We needed a new spa cover back in September. A deposit was placed and everything. Dave said he would find one for us in the meantime. We never heard anything. We called and asked- he said nope can’t find anything. It is now 4 MONTHS later, end of December and we asked for a status update on when it will arrive. Now we are told there are no spa covers being made, never mind shipped. No mention of giving the deposit back since they cannot find a spa cover anywhere for almost half a year. This is just the tip of the iceberg of issues we have had with this company. Disappointed is an understatement.

Have had a nightmare trying to find a spa filter. This place was recommended and within an hour or two after sending pictures of the filters they were able to order my part. Another company couldnt do the same within 3 weeks. Extremely happy with how responsive they were. Spa parts are back ordered, they were very forthright about timelines.

Dave Scarritt personally came out to give me a quote and then did an excellent job replacing my pool liner... I really appreciate that he explained to me that I did not need a total new pool after several other companies told me the liner couldnt be replaced and I needed a new pool for $12k! I will be a lifetime Scarritt customer!

I didn’t have a great experience going to Scarritt Spas. I went to get a filter for my hot tub because I just bought a house that came with a hot tub and the previous owner left the filter. The old filter is brown and the slits are filled with mold. The employee advised they did not have the filter in stock and recommended that I just use the old filter... he said just to clean it and it’ll be fine🤢. Didn’t offer to order a new one for me just basically told me to clean it and sent me on my way. I left Scarritt Spas so frustrated I went somewhere else to get a second opinion and they couldn’t believe I was told to use this filter. I wish I could upload a picture for you to see because that’s so unacceptable. Highly disappointed with the service I received.

Was looking for a new pool pump Dave gave me a few options. I chose to buy off line however, I did use scarritts for the install. Dave himself showed up and was extremely professional and friendly. His work was clean and he was very efficient. I would definitely recommend Scarritts for all your pool and spa needs.

Very friendly service. Fair prices. Good hours.I love the free water testing for my spa ! Scarritt’s has a computer water analysis system that lets me keep the Chemical levels perfect. Dave (the owner) and staff are always willing to answer questions and make suggestions how to keep everything running perfect. I would highly recommend them for any spa or pool issues 👍

This is a great story with a happy ending.I purchased a used hot tub and got it installed and it didnt work.I asked around in three gave me Scarritts phone number. Not only is Mr.Scarritt a gentleman, he knows hot tubs and treated me better than anyone in the swimming industry has ever treated me before. Kudos!!!

My hot tub wasnt working at all, so I set up a service call. I got a call from the owner who walked me through what turned out to be a simple fix. He even gave me his cell number so I could call him over the long holiday weekend. Fantastic, honest, and courteous service.

I dont really do reviews, but Ive read some of the bad reviews here and I think you people are just the kind of people that cant be pleased by anyone. I have a wood wall pool with 2 walls that blew out. Needed to repair the wood and then get a new liner installed. As with most pool places, they dont do the wood work when the frame needs to be replaced. Im not a carpenter, and neither is my brother, but I explained to Scarritts that Id be doing it myself and would call them once done so they could proceed. They said that was fine and to call them when we finished. I asked them to come out and inspect it after in case anything needed to be fixed up. Was told everything was good and then they came out to measure up the pool and check out the sand floor.They determined I didnt need sand, but had to re-compact and make a coving. Mr Scarritt himself measured the pool and ordered the liner after we picked the kind we wanted. I was told ahead of time it would probably be custom, as nobody really makes liners for these pools. Got a call a few days later that it would in fact have to be custom and was told the price up front.We did not get quotes for the rest of the work, but I had gotten a few quotes on new pools and assumed wed be in the same ballpark, which is where it ended up. He steered me away from getting foam behind the liner as he said that was a gimmick other places use to put a quick buck in their pockets. He only advised me to use foam in the corners since I had some gaps there. Very happy with how things turned out.You people who wrote bad reviews, I bet you write bad reviews about everyone. This place is honest and is not out to rake you over the coals. Quality work. Everyone who came out to our house was really nice and up-front about what they were doing. I am a helicopter when people are doing work at my house and they never acted like I was annoying them, even though Im sure I was :-)I was recommended this place by a good friend when I told him we were buying a house with a pool, and Ive never once been disappointed!

I shopped around for our Hot Springs tub. These guys were certainly the most competitive in the Fairfield County vicinity. Not only that, but they have proved to stand well behind the product and very responsive to all my follow up questions and needs. I would recommend going with these guys without hesitation.

Dont waste your time or money going to the chain pool stores. The folks at Scarritt Pool are pros. Theor advice saved my pool when I thought we were going to have to fill it in. Highly recommend!

Over-charged me to open my pool. Promised to do weekly maintenance, then the morning of, said they couldnt do it. I would have used a company less expensive and closer to my house if I knew that in advance. Told me I needed a new pump, which I purchased for $500. Then charged me $280 for a service call (because his guy had to drive back to the shop to get it). But the kicker is that after spending $1000 my pool still wasnt ready to swim in. My new company charges $157 less than Scarritt and when they open your pool it is sparkling!

If you want GREAT customer service - Scarritts is the place to go! After a few frustrating days of trying to get my pool up and running, I called Scarritts. The two ladies I spoke with in the office, Theresa and Sue, were so patient as I explained my issues. They were helpful, professional and knew their stuff! When ever I have questions I am able to speak with someone either in person or over the phone and they are always happy to help me. Our 22 year old inground pool liner failed beyond repair and was flawlessly replaced yesterday by David Scarritt and three skilled and congenial co-workers, Griffin, Colin, Hayden and Ethan. Our new 27 mil tye dye Latham liner looks beautiful, fits perfectly, and, most importantly, holds water! Great work, gentlemen! If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not call them for service. They replaced a bunch of parts on my hot tub that I did not need. When I called them out on it, they came and took back the unnecessary parts but said that I still owed them for the labor cost for installing and removing the unnecessary parts. I talked to the owner about the labor cost and caught him in two separate lies that he was trying to sell me on.Do yourself a favor and call someone else. This company does NOT put the customer first. Also, it seems as if they try to take advantage of those who arent knowledgeable about hot tubs.
