Terrible place. I wish I could give it zero stars. Rooms are filthy, bathrooms were smeared with blood with trash and dirty pads. Toilet paper roll had blood on it. Just disgusting and hazardous. Any sense of feeling human that you had will diminish as soon as you step foot in these doors. Find somewhere else! I am traumatized from my experience here and have been having nightmares.

This place helped me so much. I am so incredibly grateful to have been able to receive the services needed in order to overcome my struggles with mental health when I was an adolescent. All the staff on the North 2 unit are really friendly and truly care about helping you. I don’t think I can say thank you enough. Out of all the psychiatric facilities in Connecticut, I can say with confidence that St. Vincent’s is the most prepared and caring one. They also accommodated a vegan diet very well, the tofu stir fry was amazing haha. I did dislike one of the nurses who was very judgmental towards my eating disorder, but overall I had a very helpful experience.

Worst experience I have ever had I came out of there traumatized worst and feeling like I was violated. They were extremely unprofessional and unorganized. There’s no structure, the groups are speratec. The feed u meds until u can’t speak . They have all kinds of different cases and needs intagrade. The nurses and the patients care techs where talking and laughing at patients including the security guards who were making fun and ready to abuse and attack for the hell of it . This place needs to be investigated and shut down . Please have them investigated. Please help here are calls please .

Consetta (Tina) Cadella, the counselor lies, is narcistic, and controlling when it comes to patient care. She called the police, ordered a taxi and talked on the phone to my son to distract him while the police came inside my apartment when I was not home. This place has a horrible system and poor care. They use all there resources, not considering what each patient can afford. They take you to hospital emergency during normal hours, then send you to mental hospital, and release you within 3-7 days to keep the beds available and then they put you in a taxi upon release. Releasing patients who can not function in society is a serious risk.😮
