Brittany Butler was amazing— my shampoo was amazing. She was nice, very professional and made me feel comfortable with the entire service. She took her time and answered each question I had in regards to my hair and the service! I will most definitely be back!

After walking in expecting to have an appointment, I quickly found out I didn’t. I was not sent away. Keisha took care to find someone to help fulfill my need.I was paired with as very lovely and respectable young lady by the name, Dyasia Perkins. She was attentive, delicate, and very pleasant to talk and laugh with as she did my hair. In fact I was so pleased with her and my hair I’ve already scheduled a follow up appointment with the intent of future appointments with her until her graduation.I also loved how well so many of the student hairstylist communicated and support one another.Thank you,Althea Hampton

The price Ms. Grace charged wasnt accurate or in accordance with the work that was done and what I was told it would be. Ms. Grace was unkind and unwelcoming, but Ms. Shawna and Kathryn Kane were attentive and supportive of their students!Risa was amazing and did a great job trimming and deep conditioning my 4c/4d hair!!!I would have preferred not to have it styled, because it wasnt something I wanted done.

I called the day before to make an appointment and they took my name and number and said they would call back. I was coming from FL to TN so I was trying to prepare ahead of time. I didnt get a call back but went in the next day when they opened up when I got in town. They open at 9am but students dont set up and start until 9:30am. LaKeisha G. at the front desk was completely professional and friendly. She actually remembered my name and was kind about not calling back. She got me booked for one of the first appointments with Brionna. Brionna was amazing, shes fresh out of HS, and is mature, professional, kind, and we had an amazing conversation. It took about 2 hours to get my hair done and the price was very reasonable. She did a great job with my hair and I was a happy camper. I will be back in town in a few weeks so I went ahead and booked another appointment. My advice is to be patient with the process and the people. I enjoyed my visit and that influenced me to return.

Madiley Morales was excellent! Handled me like a professional...efficient, gentle, and timely. She really spent time listening to me and helping me get the results I wanted. Madiley graduates soon. Good for her and the rest of us looking for great stylists.

I scheduled an appointment for 3:30 so I will have time to get there after school, so I get a call saying that I need to be there at 3:00 so they can close on time okay that was no problem. I get there a little before 3:00 and I went to the desk the lady had an attitude with me and told me to go sit in the back where the wash bowls are. I sat there for 20 minutes waiting when finally a student who was watching me the whole time finally came and asked who was doing my hair. I did not know so they told her wash my hair. Need I remind you I have a lot of thick kinky curly hair and no offense but the girl was white and she had no idea of how to wash my hair. My hair and scalp was still very dirty. They put me off on a girl she she was so upset that she had to do my hair that she was very rude and she didn’t even straighten my hair Well at ALL it was still poofy. While I was there the women at the front fest were talking about clients the whole time. When I got ready to pay and leave the women at the front desk rolled her eyes at me and told me next time make an appointment. It was the WORST experience ever. The prices may be cheap but it not worth it.

My experience was great, my hair stylist was at her first week on the floor. She did all the right things asked all the right questions and wasnt so nervous, she couldnt have a fun conversation with me about our families. She had a very wonderful teacher who also taught me a thing or two about my hair. Her teacher provided all the right guidance that she needed and my trim and bangs came out beautifully. Going in tomorrow for color. I will continue trusting them with my hair. Thanks ladies!

WORST EXPERIENCE!! Absolutely DO NOT reccomend anyone going to school here or having any services done here. My daughter and her friend went for a tour there that was supposed to start at 10. 10:30 rolls around and they still haven’t been seen so they went to the front desk and the woman admitted that she had forgotten about them. The person who is in charge of the tours was in the back office dealing with an altercation between students. While waiting, my daughter and her friend watched a teacher chew out a client and tell her how she needed to have her roots done, teacher told her she needed a full color when all she came for was a grey touch up. The teacher told the client that she didn’t have time to do this and she needed to understand her timeline. The client walked away and the student who was supposed to be doing her touch up proceeded to talk badly about the client saying that she wanted to “punch her in the face”. While another student said that the client was just “a waste of time”. When going somewhere to pay for a service you should get treated with respect and have what YOU want done. Not what they think you should have done. This was by far the WORST school my girls have toured. Eventually after waiting 45 minutes the girls just got up and left. Very UNPROFESSIONAL.

I went in for an updo and makeup and was pleasantly surprised. The students were very conscious of their work and the teachers were available and very supportive. The hair instructor helped on the more complex parts of my updo but the student was locked in on what the instructor was doing. It took a little longer than I expected but considering they are still learning I cannot complain.

I really like it as its affordable especially all i usually do is just shampoo and blow dry.and they are very nice. as once i had a hair cut, the teacher came to supervise and directed the student so got my hair nice cut anyway.no idea why spend twice or more for same service done while these students will be hair stylist in the near future anyway.

I would give this no stars if I had the option. Horrible horrible school currently disenrolling and going somewhere else. Had to file for sexual harassment and discrimination because I am a white student and most of the faculty is African American . One of the teachers even told me they discriminate against pretty White girls save your money and your dignity and check other schools out.

Horrible service. Will never go for any service. They pick and choose randomly what Saturday they are gonna be open even after telling you they will be open on certain Saturdays they close anyway.DO NOT RECOMMEND. PERIOD.

This was ABSOLUTELY the worst experience I have every had at a beauty school and this isnt the only beauty school I have been too so I know when I get good service. Virtually everything I was unhappy with. The teacher for the (intermediate) level DOES NOT supervise and teach students adequately. My cut was wrong, my perm was wrong. I have been before and been unhappy but this visit took the cake. I WILL NEVER RETURN!

Absolutely AWFUL experience! The color that my hair was when I went in was dark underneath with some blonde foiled on top... I went in, showed them a picture of what I wanted (MULTIPLE TIMES!) which was a very dark auburn color, basically dark brown with a red undertone to it. The instructor decided to do a rinse cap on me to break up the dark that I had (which I partially get) but, they also put it on the blonde color so they essentially bleached my already blonde hair... They then proceeded to put STRAIGHT RED on my hair! My hair came out looking like Clifford the damn dog! Once they started drying it and I saw how red it was, I complained because that wasn’t even CLOSE to what I asked for... They then went back over the color with some brown but with some red still mixed in. I was there for 6.5 HOURS and when I left it still wasn’t close to what I wanted, I had to pay and my hair was basically pink! My favorite part was all the girls kept coming by to say how much they loved it... Great, too bad its not what I wanted in the least bit! When I walked out, they told me to come back so they could fix it and they said something about how they should have added brown. NO KIDDING?! The base color was supposed to be BROWN! If you love your hair, don’t go there!

Such an awesome experience. The teachers and students were outstanding and very professional.

I look at all these bad reviews, but honestly, the service was great, their prices are cheap, its done professionally, see i got my hair highlighted, and they dye it, cure it, wash it, dry it, and style it the way you want for an exceptional price. def going there again.

I enjoyed my hair coloring at Empire beauty school because they take the time to make my hair look superb and I liked how they talk with me so I never feel bored.
