Had The Clutch in my car done for a waaaaayyy better price then firestone or the few other places . would recommend for fair prices on big mechanical issues

As a former mechanic, I never let anyone wrench on my vehicles, but I started a job I physically cant do anymore. Rob and his crew were recommended by a friend, so I towed the half finished project to his shop. Outstanding does not even begin to describe the quality of work they do. I called ahead to get a quote on some work that need to be done to my truck they not only saved me time they saved me money. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called about a problem that resurfaced 3 years after repair, just to get some information going forward. I was totally surprised to hear that the part was still covered under warranty. I had no idea! Even though they were 3 weeks out on appointments, they had me come right in to have it taken care of, (it was only a 30 minute job). I started with them in 2006 and they have always been thorough and more than fair on every repair. And they do it all!.If you havent been there, go meet them!

Attempted to replace a part myself and it didnt go so well they were able to replace the part but now there is a new problem I cant say it was my fault or theirs but the problem was definitely not there before repairs were done. I returned the vehicle to ensure their work was as it should be and then was charged for it which I find ridiculous . After arguing with them they finally dropping the charge and offered an hour of inspection timeSo-so customer service and the drive all the way out there is a real inconvenience and pricey.I intentionally didnt mention a consitant oil leak next to where they would be working. I asked for them to note any issues while they had the motor apart at the first initial appointment and nothing was mentioned in their printed report or when I asked if they had seen any issues while working.I think understandings on what was being performed the second time were crosses and they werent trying to rip me off but overall I dont think it is a good place to go as a first choice.

The crew at Gilmores are the best of the best. No need to worry about throwing money away, these guys are great at troubleshooting problems and resolving first time. As a woman, had my fare share of mechanic ripoffs on my f350 diesel, bmw and jeep. But no worries at Gilmores, trusted and reasonable prices.

We took our truck here and he inspected everything and charges way less than a dealership does and he does better work! We were even able to ask him some auto advice when we had issues with a dealership trying to jerk us around. Hes a hardworking mechanic and VERY honest, he will tell you what you need and doesnt add things that you dont need. Our whole family goes to him and none of us have had anything but good things to say!
