After moving to the south shore, we were looking for a provider of fuel services. Whenever possible I prefer doing business with family owned, local businesses and Nick and his team at City Fuel didnt disappoint. We had been trading with City Fuel for fuel delivery only, for the last 9 months, and I chatted with Nick when ordering every chance I got. One morning in mid-January 2017, we woke up to a freezing house. I called at 7:00 a.m. and Nick was there at 9:00. Our heating system is unique, but was no match for Nick. He allowed me to assist by holding the light for him in my dimly lit basement. With a mechanical background, I appreciated the literal craftsmanship and attention to detail when diagnosing the problem and replacing the failed parts. He really went out of his way to get our heat back on without replacing the whole system. This experience reinforces my belief in the superior service provided by family owned, local businesses. City Fuel has always provided me with the oil I need without any issue. When my heating system had issues, Jake Tenaglia came out and fixed my system the very same day. Also, we use City Fuel for HVAC systems in our commercial buildings.
