Great experience. Storage was easily accessible and convenient. All the service was automated. I never had personal contact with anyone and still customer service was very efficient whenever I called.

False advertising. I was rented a unit that was supposed to be 8x10, if you look at my picture the unit is clearly a 7x10. they are charging me for the doorway outside of the door and calling it an 8x10

Pros: Very easy to use kiosk. Their locks give me peace of mind because they are introverted making it harder for someone to break in. Open 24/7 as well as bathrooms. Staff will give you pleasant courteousy calls if you left your unit unlocked, or late on a payment.Cons: you have to buy their lock even if you already have one, which is rare.

I like to speak to someone personally. However attendant was gracefully at kiosk phone. You could not use your own lock, you have to buy theirs and they might reimburs you. You have to have INS on your property which is ok but not everyone can afford it. Not a lot or any climate controlled units at this location.Very impersonal😞

Unit I rented had another lock on the unit. I had a full truck load with no place to put it, no one answered the phone after 45 Minutes I left. They have no way to get help that works, no way to contact to get refund. I would never use again. Got dispute filed with credit card co., hoping for a refund

Very impressed by the whole setup. This was the first time using a storage facility and I handled it easily with their self service kiosk. Clean bathrooms and chilled water fountains are on site. Wide lanes to navigate and clean units. Facility is secured with cameras, lights and P.I.N. protected entry gates.

Used to be great, but new management screws customers over at every opportunity and fails to maintain the facility as well as previous management. There are plenty of new storage facilities recently built nearby that treat their customers better and I am glad that I moved out of Xpress Storage and now rent from their new competition down the street - you will be too!

I highly recommend using this storage facility. It is climate controlled, very clean, and not only easy access, it is very secure. Using the kiosk was different to use at first, but was very easy and accommodating with immediate help if you needed it. Nothing special for the big money. I was a tenant for over two years, eventually left for better pricing, climate controlled, and to deal with a place that had more than a Kiosk. I found a great place with lights, outlets and management on site. Id look around at options. They raised the rent without warning and I typically dealt with an answering service and had to wait for a call back, which was a hassle.

This is a great company... The storage facilities are first rate, and I had 5 units over the last year at the Portal Crossing location near Lakewood Ranch (3 temp controlled, 2 non temp controlled). They have a kiosk where you can rent a unit at the gate 24/7 (including the lock which is dispensed by a vending machine), and then you have 24/7 access to the unit. Thats not the whole story though.. We went through a lot especially this last year, and the staff (Ellen and Susan) were gracious and accommodating in helping us through some difficult times. They truly get my highest recommendation, and if there were 10 stars, Id give them a 10.

The first storage place I tried wanted to bill me for the whole month, even though I came in mid month. They were also going to bill me for the whole month if I left early. And they were about to give me a unit in front of a large puddle of rain water from a backed up drain hole. I left and found Xpress Storage.It is all computerized, but worked out fine. First you phone them and they set up and explain the process calmly. Not in a rapid sales pitch. I drove over to Xpress and picked up my key from the kios. Easy as pie. The gate opened, the place looked new and clean. And they were not so greedy as to charge you for the time you are not there. They even sent me back the money I overpaid. I would surely rent from them again.

Was a tenant for many years at the Lakewood Ranch, SR-64 location. The maintenance guy was there several days a week and kept the place spotless. He was always friendly and asking me if there was anything he could do for me. I give this 5 stars and only moved out because I transferred out of state.

I had made a reservation on-line and went to complete it at the kiosk on-site but could not get it to work. By pressing the help button the service rep was awesome and helped me through the process and was very enjoyable to speak to. No problems entering the facility. Storage area was clean.

There are times in our life when we need a place to temporarily store some of our things. Im moving and have to store some things in my new town for a Time. When I saw this facility, I couldnt believe it. It is so clean and well-maintained. I chose a climate-controlled unit and Im so happy with Xpress storage. Ellen Dyer, the facilities manager is so kind and took the time to check with me by telephone to make sure all questions were answered. I hope shes an example of what people are like in my new town. Thank you Ellen and Xpress storage for being there. You made this experience very pleasant.

Staff was very friendly and on top of things. I didnt call them when I vacated, but they called me within 24 hours and asked if I vacated. Customer service here is great. FYI the place is automated, I only talked to people on the phone, but the whole process was very easy.

Was very pleased with the experience I had. If I ever ran into any questions, their customer service team picked the phone right up. The facility was super clean and easy to get in and out of. This was my first storage unit and I would highly recommend any of my local friends to go here as well. The price was on the lower end as well.

Opened the door and full of ants. There was a sign that it had been sprayed recently. Had to go buy some bug spray and plastic bags to store the stuff in. New house could not be finished soon enough. Posted sign says you are not checked out until they inspect, which was fine but never notified all was well and officially checked out. Outside grounds however were very clean.

Just moved to the Bradenton area and had more stuff than I could handle at our new home. Starting check for temporary storage near us. After checking several rental providers I came across Xpress Storage.The place was very clean. The people I talked with were extremely friendly and helpful. They made it easy to sign up and get into a unit quickly. They allowed my homeowners insurance to cover the items stored. I certainly recommend checking with Xpress before making a mini storage decision.

I had initially reserved a storage at iStorage just down the road to move in Sunday. Well, they are closed Sunday and I had a truck full of stuff waiting to be stored. I love that Express Storage has the 24-hour kiosk to rent a storage anytime! It really saved the day!

IssuesRented two units on a Saturday night. :Tried to check into the units Sunday. Only one reservation existed tho, even though I had confirmation emails for both reservations. Used the kiosk to report this, but the speaker is so poor in there that I could not understand the gentleman, nor could my husband when he tried again. Called them instead, and reached a woman who made sure a manager on site would return my call. Fortunately, that did happen and Ellen has handled our case since.We have the correct units now, but were charged wrong. We had been promised 50% off the first month of BOTH units. Neither discount was applied (even though my email confirmations did state the discount was to be so). Ellen has promised to take care of that too, and I trust she will. If not, I will do an additional review! 😏Be very careful, read all the fine print, bring your own homeowners owners or renters insurance policy to them so they wont charge you for insurance, and know you have to buy their lock which is $11 per unit. It all counts up, especially when the promised discounts arent applied and your card is charged for the full amount.Positives:Site is very clean and quiet, convenient, and has plenty of places nearby for cold drinks when you do your move.UPDATE JUNE 2019: After many phone calls, and a refund check sent to our address - but not labeled right so we didnt get it (!) -, we finally received satisfaction and restitution for the issues. If I hadnt been diligent though Im not sure if it wouldve happened as Ellen left her position. The new assistant manager had to be brought up to speed, and did handle things, but it took a few weeks for that to happen. Again, buyer beware. The units were clean and the property is nice, and we are glad this got resolved.

This was a very convenient storage facility for us. While we are used to having a live person to deal with, using the kiosk we were able to easily set up the contract, get our unit assigned, etc. There were various methods to make monthly payments, which provided ease of use. When I used the kiosk it was always nice to know that in seconds someone could be reached to assist (when I forgot my unit number, for example). The only issue I would raise is that we were required to purchase keys/locks from the company, and that those locks were specifically designed for the storage units and could not be used for another purpose - money wasted. We did inquire as to recycling our lock/keys but didnt hear anything back. That is the only downside to our experience, and it is a minimal issue. Unit was brand-new; property and facilities were very clean and easy to access with well-lit kiosk for safety purposes. Went there at night and never had safety concerns. A very pleasing experience - we would definitely use them again.

This storage facility is basically average. Management turned over a few times during the year I used it. Its a bit over priced and the monthly fees tended to rise too often. I had to suck it up and vacate after the last increase.
