I rented a couple until at the Stat Road 64 location for about a year and I must say it was an excellent experience. The staff is excellent (Kelly & Terry) and the facility is top notch. I’ve rented other units nearby in the past and the cleanliness is nowhere near what it is here. I also really like that I can open the gate with my cellphone. - Anthony D.

I went online to book the 10x10 and it was very convenient. I didnt need to even get out of bed. The webpage is very concise and intuitive; once you complete the application and pay, a gate code and space number is assigned immediately. Great clean facility.

I had a 10 x 10 Unit on the 2nd floor, Elevator was very convenient. The staff was always friendly. The place was pretty much kept clean as well. Plenty of carts to make it easier to move your stuff in less trips to the car. Overall I would recommend this place.

I went by recent reviews and rented a large unit. Heard Terry was awesome. So I told him I was changing storage companies because of all the breakins and issues at my current storage facility. He knew of my reason for renting. He assured me there were no issues there at iStorage. Seconds after I finished paying I heard the other worker talking on the phone describing someone to authorities I will assume and saying he had video footage but the video was not good. He said the man was wearing a striped jacket or vest and said something about the security guard. I was startled. I started to go outside and Terry said OH by the way, our gates were hit by lightning so we have no gates at least through the end of this month maybe next. I am freaked out by now. I am on oxygen and I have to get home. I get home and start worrying if I move my stuff in will it be safe. I call them no answer. Call again later a few days still I Have not moved in. Too worried about all that moving and wasting money to have another break in. So I call again. No answer. I finally drive over there. Terry is not there. I told the guy who was the one who was on the phone the previous time I was there that I am not comfortable with this company and no gate. He said its safe. I told him I overheard his conversation about the guy in the vest. He said nothing happened. He then said they have a security guard that watches. There are two gates broken how can he watch both? I said to him so security is there all night? He says NO. they show up randomly. THAT IS NOT SECURE!! I know they are lying. They left out very important information. I should have been told immediately the gates were not working and they knew I had reservations about burglaries in the area. Now they tell me I wont get my application fee back and my other is going to be prorated and they will keep all that and whatever they feel like giving back to me I wont get for at least 5 weeks. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Ive been renting storage for 30 years and I have never been treated so disrespectful. I should receive all my money back. I never moved in. I had to drive all the way over there being disabled to talk to them and get a refund. I am so upset. I am calling corporate tomorrow. Terrible Terrible way to do business. Watch out.

So far so good. Terry was super nice and quick. The gates are a little frustrating. They tell you you’re not allowed to exit from the entry gate, but then the exit gates were both closed. Kind of defeats the purpose of the gates when they don’t work, it’s just more of a hassle. But Terry was great

The Manger is fantastic and the process for setting up and closing out was very simple. Would recommend and if I come back to Florida need to store some items I would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a very professional, knowledgeable and timely experience with our storage unit and truck rental. The staff is courteous, the facility is very clean and the experience was pleasant. We will be using iStorage again as needed.

I would give them -10 stars if possible for the following reasons:1. I rented the unit over the internet before I was in the area and, when I arrived 4 days later, I found (after having to wait 25 minutes for them to give me a master key to open the unit) that there was already stuff in the unit. The person working there said they had to move it from another unit and decided mine was empty so put it in there. I had just driven 600 miles and had my mover arriving about 6 PM that evening to unload, had I not shown up before they closed at 5 PM I would have been unable to have my stuff unloaded that day.2. After filling the unit (it was there for two weeks before moving into my new home) I went back 4 days later and found at least 1 of water on the floor of the front half of my storage unit. Two pieces of furniture had been ruined by the flood. There had been no rain in the interim time so I have to assume it was caused by negligence on the part of IStorage. I had purchased the damage insurance policy through IStorage so believed that I would be compensated promptly for the damage (about $1200)3. I completed the claims form within a day (November 27th), returned it to IStorage, was told that everything was great and it would take about 8 weeks to be compensated for the damage. I had no issue with the timing but expected a notice of claim, a claim number, and something in writing regarding this claim. To date (January 19th) I have not had a single communication regarding this claim. I sent the site manager an email this week and his response was basically, I know nothing.My advice, if you are in need of storage, use another facility-I will be calling IStorage corporate today about this but expect nothing other than a need to file a small claims court case.UPDATE: IStorages claim of executing a transition to another unit is a lie; they found a vacant unit but I had to first find and then pay a mover (the cost was $175) to move my belongings before more damage was done.

I am not sure where all of these 5 stars are coming from. We moved from Colorado and stored our belongings in what was supposed to be an AC unit that was on the second floor. (Ps they have roaches) We tried moving our belongings out of the unit on several occasions but their elevators have been out of order for months now. We had to hire movers to get our large and heavy pieces for us since the elevators are down. They will not credit us and in fact charged us for another month even though we have moved out and gave our notice of vacancy to Kelly. When we called to question why we have a delinquency notice, kelly told us it’s because we never let them know we vacated. WE TOLD YOU KELLY. YOU OFFERED US YOUR BROOM TO SWEEP OUT THE UNIT. Then he said there was nothing he could do, then he took care of it, then he will email a manager. Terrible customer service. We requested a called from the district manager. TBD...

I gave iStorage a 5 star rating because I couldnt give them the 10 stars they deserve! Great experience! We have used this facility before with very good results and decided to use them again for the BIG move. We rented 2 units, indoors with A/C. We sold one house and built a new one. The closing dates on both sales was changed several times. In the midst of ALL this confusion, there was ONE positive! Our Stuff was safe and secure at IStorage! NO Dust, No Bugs, NO MESS! Thank you iStorage. We recommend your units to all that need them.

I am struggling to understand where all these 5 star reviews are coming from.I am glad to be transitioning from iStorage on SR 64 by the end of this month. I received a(nother) rate increase notice after many over 3 years and was told my rates were very reasonable for a 5x5 1st floor climate controlled unit and the only thing they could do to reduce was to move me to a smaller upstairs unit.That said, currently on their website they are showing the same unit I have for much less.I started moving things out this weekend and the main gate is broken and wide open, a homeless person was wandering the property, there is a sign on the elevator that says due to a lightning strike the elevator is OOO so take the stairs, and as far as climate control the AC was barely working.Do yourself a favor and shop around, there are much newer, affordable, and safer units in the area.Update 9/21 - 2 weeks later and front gate is still broken/wide open and AC barely working.

I very much dislike the tactics of the staff at this storage facility, they advertise first month free or first month for a penny, and then tell people when they come in the door that thats an old special they no longer offer, so they can charge more money. Plus they have hidden administrative fees and such that they do not tell you about until the very end after you filled out all the paperwork.

It was not professional in the beginning at all. The clerk was on the phone, insisting to still be on the phone and took another phone call when i was right there in front of him in the beginning.Towards the end i showed him a photo id for my storage and cash payment/ visa payment to keep our things safe off the street because my fiance and i have been getting things stolen from us left and right. And conveniently his storage building was Right there. Weve Also hit a bad spot right now and. He still would not work with me or even recomend calling his manager to see about the photo id. And it was a picture id that stated HOMELESS on it. I wouldnt recomend this storage facility to anyone i know . that clerk needs to learn some customer service skills and the owner needs to hire me instead !!! ;)Jenna Ogline. Had an appt. My sister and I have shared a storage unit at the Bradenton iStorage on 64 for one year~ we are now downsizing and moving our things to a smaller unit~ Kelly and Terry are awesome to work with...even entertaining~ The entire place is very clean, well lit and in our case climate controlled~ Rates are reasonable with many sizes to choose from~Even rented a UHaul truck there for one of our moves~ We’re happy we chose this location~

I have had a unit (and now 2 units) for over a year here. They are always professional and polite. Very informative and will work with you on anything you need. Even have Uhaul services for truck rentals or moving supplies and equipment. Shawn was my life saver yesterday! Thank you for the great service!

Went through istorage to rent a U-haul. Everything went very smooth. Was able to reserve truck from there location on Sr-64 and pick up at another location. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

I have no complaints of my experience with Istorage. The day I got my unit I had just gotten out of a bad situation and the staff was helpful in helping me figure out the best size unit that was within my budget. The unit was just the size I needed and worked out great. I see some reviews stated homeless people. I saw a few but they had access codes to let themselves in so i wouldnt necessarily complain as they are people in need of a place to keep their things as i once was. The site manager was extremely nice and helpful when it came to me closing my unit out as I no longer needed it. The specials, prices and convenience of location was great for me!

This was my first time renting a storage unit. When I walked in I was greeted by Pete. I told him the general items I would need to store and he helped me decide on a vehicle to rent. He also helped me to choose the appropriate storage size unit. He was very personable and actually quite funny. It was nice to have such great customer service since this was my first time needing storage and I wasnt quite sure what I was doing. I came to your office and found your office closed at 3 pm? The worker ran away from office all afternoon what did the homeless man told me? Must two workers share to stay in office all day and other may need a 30 minute break so the customers can come there anytime during the convenient times.

Ive been renting here for years and have never had a problem with the facilities but it gets a three-star rating because the staff can sometimes be short with you and are not good at communicating or getting questions answered for you when you need them. Also they took away the public restroom there all in an effort to save some money which is a big deal for someone who visits their storage unit on a regular basis

Very accommodating to our needs. When we moved here, we originally reserved a 10 x 10 unit, and quickly realized (when the moving truck drove into iStorage) that it wasnt big enough. No problem; management seamlessly changed our reservation to a 10 x 15. 6 months later, and after several weekends of culling our accumulated junk, we wanted to go down to a 10 x 10. No problem again, management actually gave us the use of both units for over a week, for us to manage the transfer, at no cost. Facility is modern, clean, and very secure. Recommend to anyone!

I was greeted by Kayla who answered all my questions and even showed me a few different size units to determine exactly what size I will need . Kayla was the most helpful individual that I have encountered in quite some time . I will be back to rent with Kayla, but in the meantime if you need storage, stop in and see Kayla, shes incredible .

I cant recommend this place LESS. I would give zero if possible. They have no security cameras that work outside of their office, one of their employees shows up to work five minutes past opening time BAREFOOT, with other customers waiting outside. and they give nothing but lip service and constantly changing stories.I had an expensive TV stolen from my unit by a guy two units down, that they miraculously only caught just after I showed up from out of state to collect my belongings, and three months later, had ZERO resolution on my insurance claim after following ALL of the required steps and paperwork, including a police report--which was also blamed on a lazy district manager. I was then told by Nikki, who I had dealt with from day one, that their district manager cares more about the A/C in the office than the security of their renters units. There is no security other than a keypad-operated gate (which the local homeless hanging out on their sidewalk have a code for). My code did not work when I went to move in, and the phone number Nikki gave me to call her with did not work either. I was approached by these homeless people and propositioned for money in exchange for their access code. I was told on the phone that they had contractors on site to install security measures (keypads on the doors and elevators) and three months later given a different story (corporate takes so long with these things.) in person.In short, they allow their homeless pets to hang out and press people for cash, have no security measures, and will give you BS every step of the way. Everything is just lip service--even the automated replies to bad reviews.The icing on the cake was being told to give a good review despite the abysmal experience to pad out a bonus. After having my belongings stolen and being given the run around, I think not.

2 months after ending my rental was contacted stating that I owed money, they did not close my account. Called location and was treated like a victim, then tried call center and was informed that I would be contacted in 2 days regarding matter. Had to call a week later to follow upon issue as was not contacted, (I had to do all the work) NO Customer Service, but they are good at saying Sorry.

Nikki and Joshua are fantastic, and we felt very welcome at iStorage! My only minor frustration is that the insurance is required and wasnt disclosed obviously on the website when I got a quote and reserved a unit. So Im paying more per month than I thought i would, but its ok. Their service more than makes up for it!

Had an appointment to rent a truck, when we went in to pick it up we were told that the computer was down and there was nothing they could do. Im a business owner and I can think of at least two things they could have done.1. They could have used good old fashioned pencil and paper to rent us the truck instead of letting business walk out the door because their computer doesnt work (amateur hour).2. They could have called the closest uhaul on our behalf and made an appointment for us instead of just giving us a phone number.We ended up renting from ACE Hardware and I asked him what he would do if his rental computer was down, he pulled out a book and showed me how he would still rent us the truck using paperwork.Today ACE gets the sale, you get squat. Learn from this.

Found Shawn to be knowledgeable and helpful. Rental was fast and easy to set up. And the first month was free!

I would not recommend this place to store your items. On Saturday afternoon I came to pick up my music equipment to find out it was all stolen, then decided to dig deeper and noticed that there was a bandona wrapped around the camera, who knows how long it as been there, and on top of the the cameras have not been working for two weeks !!!! I am left with my stomach inside out on how I stored my equipment thinking it would be kept safe with high walls and a gated coded. This has left me no choise but to move what is left of equipment to another place and a lawsuit to come.

I have use this storage Unit for 3 years, excellent costumer service, clean and very well secure, not complains for me. I will come back to them if I need it in the future.

We were very disappointed when we moved out. The reason we moved out is because every time we come there at night to get into our unit there is homeless people in the hallways. Secondly there were cockroaches in our belongings. Lastly when we moved out we had about $400 worth of damage from our boxes being soaked from water. Where the concrete stops they have about 2 of dirt and somehow water came in and it ruined our things. Very poor customer service. So happy to be out of there. I dont think they have cameras that work.

While the facility itself is great, mgt. is horrible (never answers the phone or returns calls) and every year you can look forward to them increasing your rates. If youre looking for long-term storage, do not look here.

The on site Manager was very knowledgeable and efficient. During my recent visit to Istorage Bradenton I was looking for a storage unit and a Uhaul to use for my in town move. I was greeted and helped immediately in finding the right unit that worked for me. The facility is very clean and well secured. I felt very confident that my belongings would be safe and secure.The manager made sure to check any promotions that were going on as well which is obviously excellent. We had our stuff all stored here, for over a year. We had more expensive unit because large and was temperature regulated. The employees are very helpful and accommodating!! They Always took care of us!! Where do you now on the bottom right side if youre up looking at the storage units, even with Irma last year it never flooded. Will go back if I ever need a storage unit again!!!

Ive had a storage unit at iStorage Bradenton for 2 1/2 years. The rates have steadily increased while the property has gone downhill. We have reported homeless people roaming inside the gated access area in the evenings several times. Today I went to the facility to access my unit and found clothing and a lamp on the elevator, belongings in the hall beside the elevator, and the unit across from mine was wide open with contents thrown in the walkway. The mess was there when I accessed my unit at 6:45 am, 12:45 pm, and 3:30 pm. There was staff at the facility today from 9 am to 5 pm and made no attempt to do anything about the strewn unit contents. Add to that, I am paid up to August 1st but am now planning to leave by July 10th to go to a cheaper and better facility. When I asked if I would be refunded the rent I paid from July 10 to July 31 I was told they dont prorate, so I am out the money. Glad to be moving out. DONT RENT HERE ... THERE ARE OTHER CHEAPER, BETTER MAINTAINED PLACES TO STORE IN BRADENTON!!!

Rent continues to climb. If you plan to keep your storage long term, make sure you check around for prices. My rent has increased 35% in 3 years. Facility is secure and clean.

I had an unfavorable beginning and wasted a lot of time. The company has issues with their online bookings that they tell me are being corrected. I was directed by corporate office to go speak with the store manager to correct issues. Today I spoke to the store manager Jonathan and we resolved our issues. I am happy with the outcome and they lived up to their compromising promise to correct the issue. I believe we will continue to have a good working relationship. My rating will increase as the company proves that this was just an unfortunate experience.
