I had my car towed here to have a gas leak fixed that happened on the other side of town. Not only did Shepherds keep me in the loop on my cars progress but they made sure I was well taken care of since the part they needed was on back order for 6 days. It wasnt that big of an issue for me since at the same time I was able to borrow another car from a local family member for those 6 days. Way better than getting a rental. Plus I was not going to be driving my car with an issue like a gas leak. Very reasonable with pricing. I have heard a lot of good things about Shepherds since everyone I know at work recommended them for car issues. I would say they my coworkers are not wrong at all. Great service and the people actually know their stuff.

Gave a them a call because I needed tires quick. The were courteous and respectful. Had all 4 truck tires done in about 30 minutes. I dont expect this every time but I greatly appreciate their efforts. I will be a life long customer.

Had an issue with one of my tires. Other places were not as honest as Shepards was and being shorthanded they still managed to get the work done in less time than they stated. Plus I got a great deal on 4 nice new tires.

Disappointing service. Had a list of work I needed done on my vehicle. One of the tasks they agreed to complete was “check airbag” light on my vehicle. Only after I picked up my van and turned it on did I discover they didn’t complete it. I went inside and asked and all I was told was they couldn’t do it. No offer to reschedule or make it right whatsoever. I wrote a review reflecting my service on Yelp. The manager responded with an inaccurate representation of events that reflect a business mentality of blaming customers for there poor service. Quote from manager as follows “If you called me to express your disappointment I would tell you to come in and I would scan the airbag light at no charge. Instead you have come to Yelp to bad mouth us. Please do not come back.”

Went in a few months ago asked the lady to recommend the quietest tires they had, did not get them I found out later on short trip.

My husband needed an alignment done and they were able to get in pretty quickly and get it done. The staff is nice friendly and helpful they explained everything and answered all questions. Very helpful

Called around for prices for a Michelin tire. Shepherds Tire Pros were 60 $ less than anyone for exact same tire. I am a mechanic and i know what I am talking about. They all know their job and do it quite well.I could not be happier. So refreshing to find such an experience these days . From now on I will buy all my tires at Shepherds.

My car was making a bad noise and I thought it was coming from the wheel well area. I had also noticed that the rear tires seemed a bit more warn than the front. I made an appointment and took it in, asking them to check both concerns. They called me less than an hour later and said the noise Id been hearing was a minor concern. Apparently I ran over something and the heat shield was bent rubbing the tire. They also said my tires were fine for at least another 8,000 miles. The visit cost me less that $30. This experience assures me this is the most honest repair shop I could hope to find. I will always use their services in the future!

Was there twice once for tires had an appointment everything went well with the appointment and the time spent there was done very quickly. Also my second visit I needed air conditioning fixed on my 2003 Ford Mustang whats a little higher price than I wanted naturally but it was pretty competitive with other prices around and I know they did good work so far just a little bit more money I got a job well done.

I use to bring all of my cars to these guys until recently. They obviously care nothing about loyal customers anymore. I wanted to have 4 tires mounted on my truck that I purchased online and had delivered free. By the way this is the most inexpensive way to do it these days. Anyway, I called Shepherds to set up installation and they quoted me a price of $240!!! Really guys? That is $60 a tire! Everyone else around charges between $20 and $25 per tire. These guys are greedy and they don’t deserve my business ever again. You are better off going to Richards or Popis tire shops. At least those places will give you a deal, and treat you right. Shepherds prices suck!

THE BEST TIRE AND MACHANICS IN BRADENTON

I went to shepherds to have two flat tires replaced. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant. They were able to repair one of the flat tires and had to replace the other. Everything was done and I was out the door in about an hour. Pricing seems fair - about 25 to repair a tire and 104 for the new one. Including installation. They also checked the tire pressure on the remaining tires including the spare. They offer used tires as well for about 45.

We go here for years with all of our cars and are never disappointed. Service is great. They tell you as it is and do not try to sell you something you do not need. Fast, reliable. Doing more tires soon.

My friend just posted on FB and I just bought my tires from there!I very rarely do what I am about to do…which is promote a business.This weekend, I pinched a $150 plus 6-ply tire (Michelin) that, by law since my vehicle is a commercial van, has to be used (6 ply). The tires(s) are less than 2 months old and I did not purchase a “tire protection plan” at the time of purchase.I e-mailed Larry Shepherd, of Shepherd’s Tire Service on 14th Street opposite LOWE’S, and Larry stated he would have a replacement tire at the store by 10:30 AM the next day, and would call me when the tire arrived.Larry did as he said and today (Wednesday June 24th) I walked in, was greeted by Larry’s son and I told him what I was in the shop for. Larry overheard the conversation and told his son that the tire would be a “special adjustment.” I was informed that the replacement of the $150 tire, with mounting and balancing, would cost me $29.95 drive out. Larry said, “unless you want to go ahead and protect all four tires (at a cost of $51.80) your cost will be $26.95. My total cost for the tire and additional warranty…$88.54…half what I was expecting to pay! Larry DID NOT have to do such a nice thing! And I opted to wait on the replacement and was in house about 30 minutes before driving away.Now….this is not the FIRST time Larry and his employees have gone out of their way to help me, as well as other customers that I have witnessed receiving service. With the new set of 4 tires, I also had front brakes replaced and a synthetic oil change, all done for slightly over $700 dollars….something that would have cost me much more at others stores. I have always received excellent and very timely service on all visits.Here is what is unique about Shepherds;1) They tell you straightforwardly what is wrong with your vehicle, the exact cost for repair before hand and DO NOT sell you anything that you don’t need2) The employees are actually friendly, ask the right questions and give you understandable answers, whether male or female3) MOST IMPORTANTLY…Larry and his guys REALLY appreciate your business and make that apparent in the conversations they have with their customersI used Shepherds “on and off” for over 8 years and started using Shepherds exclusively for the last 2 or so years…because of all that I just explained.Shepherd’s is my place. This message is for those of you that are looking for, wondering if there is, or needing an honest, down-to-earth car repair place. I am sure some of you have your places…sincerely, I don’t need to hear about them….in my world…Shepherd’s is the LAST word in automotive repair.GOD BLESS!

I blew out a tire on my 2018 Durango. Its a 20 rim and the tires I have were never flats. Called Shepherds at roughly 9 am, they got the tire ordered, in to their store and installed by 4:00. Theyre quick, efficient, friendly and affordable. Highly recommended. I wont go anywhere else for my tire needs.

I just left this shop from having new tires installed. Everything went fine with the install and customer service. The reason I rate this shop with only 1 star is because after my install they had me sign a form that listed other areas they saw that are in need of my attention. That’s great, except it wasn’t accurate. One item on the list was that I needed to replace my brake pads. My entire brake system: rotors, calipers and pads were all just replaced with new 8 days ago. The master cylinder however does have a steady leak and I’m waiting on my part to replace that right now. Mechanic shops are expensive enough as is (why I do 95% of my own work) without being told I need parts that I definitely, very far from needing need! At rates of $90 per hour (approximately 1 hr job) and +/- $50 for pads that’s $140 I’d be paying for literally no reason. I think their mechanics need to do further diagnostics before telling their customers they need parts that they don’t. Especially something as simple as looking at how thick the brake pads wear surface is when you already have the tire off!

Went for one used tire, which they advertise they offer, but they always sell up. I told the man honestly that I am didnt have the money for anything, but one used tire. He didnt even look at my tire and be told me they didnt have my size and sent me down the street.

My wife and I have had 3 - 4 occasions where we needed the services of Shepherd Tire Pros since relocating to this area earlier this year. On each occasion the service was excellent, the staff were both courteous and professional and the pricing was fair.
