I called the service and the technician arrived promptly. That’s where the positive experience ended. The technician spent about 5 minutes diagnosing the issue and determine the cause of the problem. He left and said he would contact me as soon as he got back to his shop with a price for the repair. Well it’s been over 24hrs since he left and no quote has been received. I called the number again and got a lady who spoke very little English and she transferred me to a voice mail. I guess I have to call another company to actually get the repair completed and Bowie Appliance Repair stole my money and did not work!!

While contacting the company is easy it is not easy to get positive results. The repairman was at my home 3 times before he declared he could not repair the Samsung dishwasher. They offered me a refund but never refunded me. My bank also has tried to help me get my money back unsuccessfully. Why offer me a refund then renege? I dont believe anything they tell me on the phone, promises promises.

This company is a scam. They are based out of Central America, and their “store front” in Bowie is an abandoned building. The repair man initially came to my house, looked at my dishwasher and determined which part it needed, and glanced at my mini fridge, which doesn’t even turn on, and somehow knew exactly what part it needed. They lied about when the part was being delivered, and for the past eleven days I have been played with costumer service being “helpful”, and technicians calling explaining what the delay is. I told them I want all of my money back, and I know I’ll never see that money again. This “business” is a shame. And a SCAM. if anyone has a different experience with them, I’d be intrigued to hear their story. I was told they would come on Monday to repair my dishwasher, but I’m not holding my breath.

This is a company that should be investigated by the Maryland States Attorney Generals Office. It is a shell operation of dispatchers who (after several calls) send a independent contractor/newly arrived immigrant with little experience. My technician identified $350 of needed parts, and when replaced, mixed up the hot and cold water lines on our washer. When he came back for fixing this, he blamed the builder (really?), he then cross-threaded the hookup, and the water lines began leaking soon after he left I called for an emergency shut off, and he gave me the wrong instructions. At 4 am, I awoke and the area was flooded. As the washer was on 2nd floor, the dining room ceiling below was taken out, and the antique dining room furniture bathed. I asked the company for help, and even offered to pay for a 2nd technician. They refused, and told me it was a plumbing issue (really?). The emergency plumber arrived later ($000 more), and confirmed it was human error, hoses just not properly connected. We have started legal action with costs running perhaps $20,000 to $30,000. This is a rogue company. Avoid at all costs.

Bowie Appliance repair quickly repaired my oven. Professional and friendly serviceman. Easy scheduling and he fixed the problem in one visit- would use again.

The service technician didnt show up on time (and didnt call to say he was going to be late). I had to call the main business multiple times to try and get an update on when technician would come and they couldnt reach him. Once the technician came he did diagnose one problem (replace acutator assembly) her later identified (circuit boards which he indicated needed to be replaced), but that should have been determined in the beginning.I would not recommend this company, the technician didnt seem to be overly knowledgeable about what the issue was and when trying to initially schedule the appointment, it took a while because the scheduler wasnt entering my information in correctly and kept repeating back to me wrong information.

Terrible experience. Awful communication, awful follow up, and the guy was flat out wrong.I had a technician come look at my dryer. He looked at it for less than 10 minutes, then came back to tell me it was the motor... or possibly the circuit Breaker. He would text me later that day with pricing on the part.Didnt hear from him for days, despite me texting every so often.When I finally- finally!- got in touch with him, he mumbled something about having difficulty tracking down the part. ...nothing about a time frame, nothing about alternatives.And again, no follow up. After doing some research of my own, it sounds like the motor for this dryer was on back order across the country. Which I would understand, but I had to figure it out myself!Then heres the kicker- I bought a new dryer. While dismantling the old one, I opened the circuit panel on the back, and IMMEDIATELY saw the problem. A broken plastic casing, causing one of the wires to constantly short circuit. Nothing to do with the motor!So yeah. Terrible communication, and bad service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...They told me that they are only a referal company and can not guarentee the work the technician does. I got my refigerator freezer repaired under warrent right before the pandemic closed everything down. Then it broke again. I called and they said they would still honor the warrenty. I set up an appointment and not one arrived at the set time. I called the company which seems to use dispatchers to ask what happened. They said theyd call me back within the hour and no one called. If I didnt already have a warrenty I would not work with them again.. They didnt call me back and my freezer is still broken

I called them a day ago and they came on the same day right on time. Our washing machine was repaired right away and he left the are clean and gave some tips. The man was nice and his charged to us was reasonable. I recommend this company.

Charged my card and did absolutely nothing. The tech did not even know how to look at the serial number of my stove and figure out what year it was made. A simple google search was all it took. After he left I called for over two weeks to get an estimate but they refused to send one. The CSR kept telling me that the tech was having trouble finding the parts I needed. Again, a SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH was all that was necessary. I finally ordered the parts and fixed it myself. Do NOT pay for a service call. Its a scam.

Two thumbs up to Bowie appliance repair! Aside from being local they were really well experienced with different brands of appliances! I had them fixed an icemaker and my range- 2 different brands and they did well on both! The repair price was worth it and I would have them again in the future for all my appliances!!

Had these folk come out three times. Ordered two parts I was told was needed. When tech came back to install, only one part (control board) was needed. After two or three weeks of calling back, because refrigerator still was not working properly and still would not hold temp of 0/37, another part was ordered & installed. STILL NOT WORKING. Now my calls were being ignored basically so we got another Whirlpool company to come & fix the problem! Wasted a lot of money on these people!! NEVER AGAIN!! Unprofessional attitude.

Horrible Experience. The repair man attempted to get me to believe he needed to dismount and remount my microwave for a higher fee. I called him on it and never heard back from them. Its been 2 months.
