I paid the repair man to put a new belt on my polan tractor, After trying to repair The tractor by putting the old belt on the right way, The technician found out that the belt needed to be replaced. I said OK, fix it, That’s when the technician stated to me that he did not have a belt for my tractor, and he couldn’t get one. I could not believe it! I paid my money, and my tractor is still broken. Bummer !

I was without my fridge for 31 days; the issue was covered by warranty. They didnt keep the appointment times they scheduled. They canceled/changed my appt twice but didnt notify me. I was told there was only one guy who could do the repair. Someone else showed up before 5 this evening though my appt was for 8am-noon. Communication is automated, no humans. I only spoke with a person at LG repair. It was all rather unprofessional and inconvenient. I am in no way convinced Im a valued customer. I think the fridge works now. Ill know tomorrow.

My ice maker stopped working in July 2020. August 5th sears arrived and ordered a part that cost me $621.42. Next appointment is set for August 25th which came and went with sears as a no show. It’s September now and still nothing from sears. So i reach out again now that I’m mad and have decided to cancel and get my money. After being on the phone for over 45 minutes I have to call back to request a refund. A few days later after the call the part arrived. It’s now October and you send me a request to review your service that you never completed. You get a zero rating for poor customer service since you didn’t do any work. Yes, I’m still waiting on my refund.

The price was excessive. When I scheduled the service to repair my dryer the website indicated the diagnostic fee would be applied to the Cost of the repair should I choose to have it repaired by Sears. The technician used software on his phone to calculate the total which included the $129 fee, plus $69 for the part and my total charge was $338. Next time Ill use a service that does not gouge me for 10 minutes of labor charges. Seniors beware!

I have been a loyal Sears/Craftsman customer for over thirty years.Positives:The repairman called and notified me he was twenty minutes out. He arrived on time, and immediately went to work. He diagnosed the problem and had the repair completed in a matter of minutes.Negatives:Appearance. The repairman is in need of updated uniforms. His baseball cap was faded and heavily stained. The repairman also smelled of grease, as if he had just replaced a car engine.Overall, a good experience. The repairman was polite and respectful. Great. Phillip was very professional and conscientious of the fact I had no heat in my house due to the furnace failing. He followed up to let me know when the part arrived and informed me he was immediately traveling to pick up the parts. He arrived at my home within the hour and installed the parts with no problems. Also, he was great with communicating what cause the system to fail and assured me the system was serviceable and didnt require replacing.I was told otherwise as to the condition of my furnace by a competing company who I didnt trust their motives in telling me the system needed to be replaced. I was shocked to be told a $5,000 furnace life expectancy was only 10 years. Phillip assured me my system was in good condition and had more years before a replacement would be needed.I was glad to know there is an honest HVAC company out there that wont try to rip you off to make a few bucks. Needless to say, I wont use them anymore and I am sharing my feelings with all of my friends and others as to the predator nature of this company.Sears, you have good one in Phillip and others who have come out in the past to service my home appliances! I have yet to meet a bad service repair person from Sears in my decades of receiving service from you. This you have definitely gotten right!!!

We have our major appliances and heating/cooling system covered by a Sears extended warranty. This means we can count on having priority service appointments along with excellent service. When a capacitor recently burned out in our heat pump, we got a next day service appointment and it was a licensed expert they sent to do the work - not just a random sub contractor. Our Sears repairman went beyond just replacing a part to make sure our system is working optimally. He took pride in making sure that we were happy with his work. The technician that arrived was pleasant, courteous, and knowledgeable. He fixed my refrigerator. It is very unfortunate that I was without my refrigerator for SIX WEEKS, as it took Sears three technicians and four repair visits to fix the problem. Horrible!!! Im never buying any appliances from sears or Kenmore products! I purchased my Kenmore refrigerator close to $3000.00 almost 3 years ago and it broke down (5 TIMES) already!! First time it broke down was 6 months after purchase. It stopped cooling to the point that the bottom freezer that was full of frozen food was almost all thawed out and it drained to my kitchen floor! Called warranty service and was told that itll take a few days before a technician can come to my house. A week went by without a refrigerator with a household of 2 adults and 4 kids! ( not a good thing!) eventually a technician came to check it, but couldnt fix it because he had to order the parts for it. Had to wait another week for the parts to arrive and technician to come. Still couldnt fix the problem because wrong part was ordered. It took almost a month to fix my fridge! It broke 4 more times after for different reasons and each time the same thing happened! As of today, Im out of refrigerator for almost 4 weeks. Even more inconvenient because I have a 7 month old baby in the house on top of 4 growing boys! Called customer service and beg them to please just replace it with something that works because I can not keep going through the inconvenience of not having a refrigerator. I was told that it had to break 4 times within the 12 month period, which I just missed by about 2 months. I also bought a Kenmore elite dish washer, which broke down about 3 times by now for different reasons.

Every time I request service for a warranty repair it is always 2-3 weeks until someone is scheduled just to come look at it. My poor washing machine...This is not the SEARS that Im used to or would refer to someone else. Although the technician was pleasant, I told SEARS and the technician that my washer needed a new lock. He checked it and insisted that it wasnt and supposedly fixed a part that was unrelated to the issue leaving a new part (that was supposedly fixed) behind in the box that it came in and managed to sell me an appliance warranty that is not honored for 30 days. I called back several times, as he instructed if I have the same issue and informed them that the lock was still the issue. The SEARS representative said she would send someone out to fix the part at no cost to me and apologized. The next technician came and said it is in fact the lock and was prompted to charge me app. $263 again for the part (app. the same amt. as the initial request). I told him and the supervisor that we both spoke w/on the phone during his visit about the issue and the manager from SEARS had the audacity to ask me to pay for it first then to file a claim for reimbursement. I told her that that would not be happening; you are supposed to fix this at no cost to me. To date, I spoke w/five different people at SEARS that gave me five different answers which definitely confirms the fact that their employees are either not being trained properly or retaining the information that they learn, but they have mastered the craft of transferring clients and dropping a call though. I never thought Id see this day. They used to be so dependable, but now they said they have companies that assist them w/repairs along with their own employees and have over 10,000 repair technicians and it took almost a week for them to send another technician. I just want my money back b/c I told them what the issue is and SEARS fixed something that wasnt broken. I am not a happy camper...at all. Honoring your clients brings about an honest business that will be quite profitable. Inconsistencies and lies get you nowhere, but unnecessary lawsuits.

The back of my Kitchen Aid refrigerator --- the sealed area behind the crisper --- regularly freezes solid. The area (I think its the evaporator) has a cover with special bolts to hold it in place. I can only tell it is frozen when a sheet of ice forms on the outside. When it froze solid again in March I called Sears, and they sent Tony out, who recommended a replacement part, took a photo of the sheet of ice, and scheduled the installation of parts two weeks later (Friday, April 1).My complaint is not about the first service visit, but the second. I turned off the cooling for my refrigerator for 24 hours after Tony left and the sheet of ice melted on the front of the sealed unit. I have over $100 in frozen food I didnt want to loose, so after each 24 hour cooling off period, I turn the refrigerator back on. Here is where the sealed area is important, because it is bolted in place I have no way of telling if the inside of the unit has any ice it it or not. Because of this, I repeated the 24-hour twice (on Monday-Tuesday) and on (Thursday-Friday) before the April 1 repair.Richard came out the afternoon of Friday, April 1. I asked him before he started if he had a steamer with him. He said he did. He replaced the parts (I believe it was a control board). As he was leaving I asked him if he checked the area behind the crisper. He said he had opened the compartment but it was too iced up for him to take the styrofoam off without breaking it. I asked him if he had used the steamer he had with him to thaw it out. He told me no, he was only there to replace the parts, he didnt have time to address the frozen area. He left saying he had two more repairs to get to. He left me with the sealed area still frozen.I am now having to throw all of my food and turn my refrigerator off for three days, so that I am sure that the area is not frozen any more. The service Richard provided was totally unacceptable.

He quieted the refrigerator for that evening and that night. The next morning, the refrigerator went right back to its old ways and the noise is twice as loud.He told me that he had to postpone the appointment. I have been calling like a fool again and again every day. No one is telling me anything. Once again, this morning I reached someone who could not help me and I asked to speak to someone who could and who had some authority. She snobbishly told me that she is a case manager and there is no one higher, because sh is a case manager! Case Manager? Hugh? Pretty authoritative! I asked her if she owned the business? I thought it was a rightful question to ask since there was no one higher than her. I assumed that she owned and ran the operation. I had the same experience a few weeks back and I wrote to Sears corporate only to receive a badly composed, poorly spelled, punctuated, poor grammar and bad English piece of rubbish. I t never addressed my concerns or resolved the issue. So, the point is that I am with a loud refrigerator that beats like a generator for more than a month and Sears folks could care less. So, do you want to know how satisfied I am? Informed me I had to call for another tech to clean vent! Was there for 20 minutes. Why doesnt Sears allow tech to pull out the dryer and check for something so basic and easy to fix? Instead of paying $189 or $204 for another technician to come out, I pulled the dryer away from wall myself and resolved problem in less than 15 minutes.

Representative was extremely knowledgeable of the problem and offered advice on preventative measures to assure safety of the dryer. Time spent on the repair was reasonable as well as as the arrival notice.

Technician called out because the freezer of a Kenmore Elite couldnt recover to desired freezer temps (-4 degrees) even after 24 hours. Freezer was reading anywhere from 20 to 32 degrees which is not good. Technician (Al) was on constant output and it was difficult for my husband or I to explain what the problem had been because the freezer was currently working properly (three days after the problem started). Since the technician had the freezer door open for 40 minutes while he was checking the problem, after he left, it took over 12 hours for the freezer temperature to recover. We think its the defrost sensor and made another appointment for 10/2. We tried to tell him this but he felt he couldnt do anything because the problem wasnt presenting itself during his visit. We are now keeping a log (recording freezer and refrigerator temps) for the next technician to see so that he can better diagnose the problem and essentially order any replacement parts if needed.

I had a 10 am to noon appointment window. After several calls checking the status, the repairman arrived at 6:37 PM. I wasted a full day of leave for nothing as the repairman diagnosed the problem as something he didnt do; that I would have to call and make an appointment with a different technician. REALLY??? As if Id make THAT mistake again. Unfortunately all of my appliances are Sears products and I would rely on their expertise. However, when the cost to fix problems becomes disproportionate to the age and value of the appliance -- Sears will be outta here.

I wish that I could give them ZERO STARS. This has been a customer service and technical support nightmare since March -- after SEVEN service visits to repair my dryer. The EIGHTH service visit is scheduled for next week. My pleads for Sears Home Services to do the right thing and replace the dryer have gone ignored. They could have replaced my dryer twice over for all of the parts that they put in my dryer -- next week they are replacing the drum. I cant calculate my growing expenses in lost hours from work waiting for technicians, laundromat trips for a family of five, and just the sheer frustration. I would not wish this mess upon anyone!

Service window 8 - 5, missed a entire day of work. Simple repair for air conditioner change capacitor. Bill almost 500 dollars. That charge is very unreasonable. Never again!

I was pleased with the technician, but the support staff that I talked to on the phone was not very professional nor trustworthy for me. Additionally, I am due a part that was damaged during the repair that was to be sent to me. Everett Lallis

Great job. While initially unsure of the problem with my dishwasher, he gave us options and eventually diagnosed the problem without the need for parts and for less than he thought it would cost.Ill definitely call on Sears in the future.
