I had asked for a service they didn’t provide...semantics was the problem... totally my fault. But the man was polite and helpful and was very courteous!

I just booked with this company today to do my furnace install. Gary took a ton of time with me running through options and giving me honest opinions on what to adjust and install. The price was reasonable and they gave me some discounts!

This place was awesome! My AC unit went out and I could not get anyone to come to my home until 2-3 days out. Express Home Services was able to find someone with a schedule that could help me the same day! The service tech, Damon, was very knowledgeable & professional in his work. I would recommend this company based on the work done, but especially the individual who did the work. Nice Job - Thanks!

Doug Was excellent as usual, he needs a raise! Always punctual, professional does a fantastic job with repairs and most importantly is very honest about what needs to be done also will tell you if it doesn’t require an immediate repairs!

My gas fireplace was turning off and you had to turn the switch on a several times to get it lit. The repairman tested the fireplace and everything was good so he concluded the light switch needed to be replaced. They would charge $250 to do that so I replaced it myself for $2.

I liked the knowledgable technician. He was very professional and explained the details of how he was checking out my AC unit. There was a good price on the service, except that cleaning the unit costed extra but I was still happy with the overall price of the services. He sold me an annual service contract that I thought was reasonable as well. I actually wished my installing company had sold me such an agreement but they never offered one, so, I am glad to have this company offer an annual service for AC, furnace, gas fireplace, and some plumbing checks, i forget what those were, but a good deal and if the technicians are as good as this one, then I will be very happy with their service.

Express truly lives up to their name. They sent over an experienced technician who identified the issue (which had been eluding us for more than a year) within seconds. He fixed the issue and we were up and running within minutes. A+++ Highly recommend.

Our water heater gave up the ghost, and they came out the same day I called!Replacing appliances is always expensive but the bid was reasonable, and tankless is an upgrade were so excited to have.Doug was amazing. I know Im not the only one who has experienced where contractors say oh yeah well come back tomorrow and finish this one little thing and never do. Doug finished the job really quickly, was super personable, and came back to make sure the work was 100% done. The man deserves a raise :)

I would like to give them a 5 star review, and in some cases many may have given a lower than 4 star review, but I feel that their response time and professionalism to the circumstances of warranty work was redeeming and worth praise.Express helped us relocate our furnace 15 ft back towards the nearest wall, which involved extending the duct work for the return air, readjusting the trunk for the vents, and venting out the flue to the outside exterior wall. For the most part they did a great job and would like to provide feedback for improvement:DISCLAIMER: their response time to the issue below was excellent and professional. Every contract has a schedule and work in progress, as well as several jobs and clients. We are not the only focus. They did however give us priority and addressed each situation within 48 hrs, which I feel is a great quality on a service company.Follow up with your technicians work:(Perhaps regular training and practice to ensure no technicians have poor practices)Better seals in the seams - no tape was used, just globs of mastic to seal the retrofit (I went back and taped) and there were a few large gaps.Make sure technicians are not dry fitting and forgetting to glue -We had almost the entire intake line of the flue come apart after install because they dry fit and forgot to go back and glue. Tape measures work in replacement of dry fit or just double check.Clean up your trash completely -I picked up several pieces of sheet metal pieces after the install, and old joints left outside after the warranty work. Clean up completelyWiring check -In the relocation wires got swapped around for AC and when we went to turn it on for the first time no cool air. They sent a technician back out and it was fixed quickly, but again, double checking is a great practiceWould still be happy to recommend, but hope to see improvements in those simple areas.

This company will rip you off. Sold us a cheap and poor quality unit for a ridiculous price. Guess they thought we wouldnt find out. Companies like this one do not look out for the customer just their own wallets.

Express Home Services is a great business to work with. We needed to update and relocate our air compressor. They were willing to work out a payment plan and were willing to beat out other quotes we received from other companies. Danny and James showed up and were both polite and friendly. They thoroughly explained what they had done and were really professional. They got the job done quickly and efficiently. I hardly even noticed they were there. I was really impressed and will definitely call them again for any other HVAC services we may need.

Nobody wants to discover a leaking water heater, especially late at night. First thing the following morning I contacted Humphrey’s inquiring about an estimate. Every representative we spoke to throughout the process was informative, respectful, patient and professional. We were extremely impressed with their timeliness and efficiency. We had an AC system replaced after a fan failure on an old unit required us to face the fact that repair was no longer an option. Our tech that day was Damon, very friendly and informative.The actual replacement ran to 11 hours. We live in an older building which required a crane to get the new unit on our roof and lots of stair climbing by James and Jaiden, who remained in good spirits to the end. Very hardworking pair of guys. The new system brings us into the 21st century with an app and better energy use.

I spoke to several other HVAC companies and these guys were responsive, honest and pleasant to work with. Great communication via email and phone calls and James did an awesome job getting my system going and gave some recommendations for future things to watch. Highly recommended.

Humphreys was subcontracted by another company to install a garage heater. Required a reschedule due to my own fault. But the reschedule happened without problems. Danny and James showed up on time, and got the install completed in one day. Price was a little higher than I wanted, but happy with the work that was done. Furnace works great and the work was professional.

The service tech was professional and amendable. He was later than I was told but he did arrive within an hour of his projected arrival time. The tech quoted me a different price for the service than I had been quoted over the phone. He did adjust the amount I was charged

Sadly Dave did not come back to take my husbands computer to be taken care of nor have i received a return call. UNBELIEVABLE!! My father told me to go soap the gas line..BUBBLES

5 stars because they were very nice and seem like an honest company.3-4 stars though on attention to detail. I just had my entire house repainted, and mentioned this to the service men so that they would be careful. Still, I had several black finger prints (grease that won’t come off) and scratches on three doors/door jams. Pretty disappointed about that.

This review is to let people be cautious when using this company. We have called them out twice for the same thing over the last two years. Each time they recommended fixes that got quite expensive all the way up to replacement. However since I just got a new warranty on the house I decided to go through the warranty if a replacement was necessary. After about 30 seconds they found and fixed the issue indicating that this should have been seen immediately fight a trained professional. Given this information I feel this company has a tendency to create problems that require you to spend more money. Just a heads up to get a second opinion.

Dave and Avalanche did an awesome job helping us redo our kitchen. Dave was patient and kind with my elderly mother who called him several times with questions, prior to appointment. Dave went over and beyond to install faucet, sink, dishwasher, and disposal. He was honest, hard working, and thorough with everything he did. He made sure we understood how to work everything before he left. He brought my dog treats. Avalanche was such a good boy and made the visit so much fun! Weve used Humphrey for years and will continue to do so!

Very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Their plumber quickly found the source of the problem (the city sewer main was clogged and filled with water/sewage). Would definitely use them again.

Buying a home and had the boiler inspected for repairs/maintenance... estimated me 4x what three other companies estimated me for (a $6,000) difference. I don’t know if they were trying to take advantage of me being a young single woman and thinking I don’t know to get other estimates or what but it felt like complete BS. I even searched up every single part written out that would need repair, the tools to use them and factored in a very very friendly hourly wage and still didn’t even touch what these guys estimated me for. I’d be very aware and get other estimates. I can see from other reviews that others have had the same issue with being over charged... like he tried telling me he’d charge almost $600 to have a pressure regulator installed for my home... that’s a $40-50 valve + $550 of labor.... I’m not stupid.

James and Danny installed a new furnace for me. They took the old furnace out and put a new smaller and more efficient one in its place. They worked fast and cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with their work and would recommend this team to anyone looking for a new furnace.Thanks guys

Our AC went out. It is less than 5 years old, Parts were still under warranty, but labor wasnt. This was because they were not the original installer. Long story short, the AC works again and we have need of other services, So we signed up with service plan.

The guy who helped with the quote was so knowledgeable and easy to work with. The guys who came to install were fine. They arrived 40 minutes late, no big deal. They worked hard and got the new furnace and AC installed. They gave me options for placement on my new thermostat and it was great. They cleaned up to leave and I mentioned my extra air returns weren’t installed. They said they’d come back and do it. They came out the next week, over 2 hours late with no call...not cool. They worked quickly, but left drywall damage for me to repair. I wasn’t thrilled with that.

Our tech Jaiden was great! Polite, professional, and quick. I highly recommend their service.

Called this company to fix our two gas fireplaces that would not turn on. The technician showed up and diagnosed the problem on the upstairs fireplace by telling my husband to replace the switch. He had no ability to fix it himself. He claimed it was the same problem on the downstairs fireplace but when my husband replaced that switch it didn’t solve the problem. We called the company to have the technician come back and figure out what was wrong with the downstairs fireplace and spoke with the company who said the technician would call us back. He never did. Charged us $248 to tell my husband what to do and that only fixed one fireplace.****Update to your reply****** this is why we called back!!! And asked him to return The gal that answered the phone said she would let him know and we have heard nothing!! *******

7/8/20- Today Kris came by and we were EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with the knowledge of his profession. He showed up in a mask. Considering the political and general climate of the country, it made me and my wife feel safe having him in our home and around our 3 young children while he did his work. We also wore masks while he was here to reciprocate the respect he gave us by him wearing his. Terrible communication and follow up.I had a great initial meeting and estimate with Jason at Humphreys and felt good about the job I’d hired them for as we moved forward (installing a new furnace and AC unit for single family home). The problem came with their terrible communication during the job.They installed my furnace and AC unit in one day. During my estimate, they said they could vent my new furnace out to the south, towards my driveway, which is what I was hoping for.On the day of installation, I had my father stay with them while they worked since I couldn’t get out of work to be there myself. I told the technicians to call me if they had any questions. When I came home, they had exhausted my furnace out the front of my house, cutting a hole through the brick in my bay window area (SEE PHOTO).When I saw this, I made them stop their work and explain why it was done this way. They explained that it couldnt be vented out to the south as they originally thought because my foundation was too thick on that side of the house and they would have had to hire a subcontractor to come the next day to cut the cement. Whereas if they vented it out the front, it would be done.They admitted to cutting corners so they could keep the job to one day and be done.WHY DIDNT THEY CALL ME AND VERIFY THIS HUGE CHANGE WITH ME BEFORE CUTTING THROUGH MY FRONT FACADE??Even if it really was the only choice, I deserved a call before cutting through my front brick, which I had not agreed to....I never got a clear answer as to why I wasnt consulted first. Once they got paid for the job, I never heard from them again, despite the fact that I called a manager and expressed my disappointment about where my furnace was vented, and despite their offers to come back and train me on my new thermostat. The only possible solutions I was given were that I could hire a subcontractor to come fix what theyd done and vent it out the south like I originally asked for, or I could just plant a tall bush to hide the pipe.Im honestly floored that their other ratings are so high. Am I the only customer they have had this blatant type of miscommunication with?

Tyler came out and was able to diagnose and repair a long standing issue with one of our bathroom sinks. It is nice to be able to recover our formerly unused bathroom.

I really had a great experience with Humphrey. I purchased a furnace and a/c unit. I felt like they treated me fairly in the price and really helped me make a good decision without over selling me. Jason is a absolutely amazing! I trust him completely. The install crew was professional and efficient. I really appreciated Chris going above and beyond in making sure the system worked great. Jason was the technician who replaced our cooling unit. Jason worked from early morning until 9:00 p.m. to make sure we did not have to go another August night without air conditioning. Humphrey’s came out to our house yet he same day we called for service. The office staff have been great to work with. I would definitely recommend Jason for any air conditioning installation job...great work!

Jason Hubbard has been at our home on two occasions to service ourAC and heaters, he is incredible. I have never had any other AC company do such an thorough job. He spent over an hour checking every part of the systems. made suggestions on possible repairs that he indicated could be postponed. I elected to have them done instead of waiting. He did not try to hard sell me. The charges are a little higher that others have quoted but his service andattention to detail is well worth a few dollars more, Thank you !

Our AC went out during a national heatwave, on a weekend, anyones worst nightmare. Unless you call Humphreys! They were able to get someone scheduled during a time that worked best for us and the repairs were done (David Lloyd) on time, professionally, and cost effectively. David was very courteous and efficient getting us cooling the house down quickly, he was also very patient with homeowners who were very hot and tired. We are very glad to have Humphreys at the top of our list for repair calls!

We had an AC emergency this week - not the time of year for that! Luckily, we found Humphrey’s; Sarah was quick to call and schedule us for the very next day. David came out bright and early at 9am and had us fixed up within 30 minutes! We’ll definitely be using Humphrey’s in the future, and highly recommend!

I highly recommend this company. Dave did an amazing job. Along the way he even taught me about my plumbing. He went out of the way to mark my main line, I didn’t know where it was, and marked the shut of valve for my refrigerator water as well. Even with all of the questions I had and knowledge he shared with me he still managed to get the job done quickly. I trust Dave to get the job done right and if any problems arise in the future I’ll ask for him specifically. He is an amazing technician and does awesome work.

Our AC went out on one of the hottest days of the year on a Friday afternoon. Other places said they could not come until Monday. James from Humphery’s came out at 10am the next day and had our AC up and working within an hour. Way nice, knowledgeable guy!

First of all, I appreciated the call from Express Home Services to schedule a fall maintenance appointment for the A/C and furnace. Then, I was very impressed with Damon who spent over an hour throughly checking the A/C and then the furnace. I asked if I could observe him while he worked. He was happy and invited me to do so. He explained about how the systems worked and answered my questions about what I could do to better maintain these things. I really appreciated his expertise and sharing his knowledge with me. I hope I can have Damon come again.

Dealing with Humphrey has resulted in one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The bid to replace a simple piliot assembly was double what another company has since given us. The technician Jayden lied to us directly about services performed and became irate when confrontred. After speaking with the owner, Chad, about the situation it is obvious that he did not care and simply repeatedely asked well what would you like me to do? I was not asking for free parts or service just letting the owner know that a technician had directly lied about what had been done. Extremely disappointing!Despite the misleading reply to my review I have never been contacted! Customer service continues to be abysmal!

My place was serviced by Dave, he was personable and professional. We initially called because of a high frequency noise coming from the water heater/furnace. He was quickly able to identify the problem and provide a solution. Also, he was the fastest to respond to our call. I would recommend Dave to anyone.

I needed a whole home humidifier installed. My requirements were that the humidifier be completely automatic and self-adjusting as possible.One contractor did a phone estimate for a Lennox manual bypass humidifier.One contractor came and noted my home’s awkward ducting and proposed to install that same Lennox manual bypass humidifier on the return air duct.When Jason came, he carefully explained the pros and cons of each type of humidifier and how they would apply to my situation. He did not try to upsell me to the more expensive steam humidifier and in fact noted the more complicated install and higher operating costs. I asked about the fan humidifier and he proposed a different method of installing it that would save some labor costs.In addition, he noted that the fan setting on my furnace was far too high for the house and – connecting to the furnace via Bluetooth - lowered the speed to a more appropriate level. I accepted the bid and Danny came to install the humidifierPros:-Danny arrived earlier than anticipated, after calling to ask for permission to arrive early.-Courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Showed me where the main water shutoff valve is.-Humidifier installed and operational. Danny took the time to seal some leaks in the supply plenum.Cons:- Humidifier initially out of stock, had to reschedule appointment. Not a big deal.- Danny forgot to hook up the smoke detector in the hallway after he was finished (the smoke detector had to be disabled for some work he was doing)Overall it was a very positive experience from estimate to installation.

Danny and Brian did our installation (new furnace and AC) they were here on time and did a great job. They took the time to walk us through the new system and answere any questions we had. They did a great job cleaning up when they were done. Other than a unit that works you would never know they were here. During the install they made sure I knew of any issues that may arise, like turning off the power and possible smoke detectors going off. Thank you and great job!!

Jason was absolutely amazing! We had a different company come to repair our A/c and they told us it would be $1500 or more to repair and because of the unit’s age (8 years) it would need to be replaced. That company then tried to sell us a very expensive unit. We called Humphrey Plumbing come out first a second quote to compare prices. Jason asked if he could take a look to see what the problem was. I’m about ten minutes he found out the water pump wasn’t getting power. Before replacing it, he plugged it into another outlet, and voila! Our air conditioner started working!!! Not only did he save us thousands by not selling us a new unit, he didn’t even charge us for the service call!!! We will go to Humphrey’s for all of our HVAC and plumbing needs from now on. David Lloyd just left from fixing my air conditioning unit. 5 years ago when the home was built the builders hastily installed the unit causing the outside unit to shift downwards and bend my coolant lines. David diagnosed the issue, was prompt on a quote and returned two days later to fix the issue. He was polite, knowledge, and walked me through the entire process step by step. He went above and beyond fixing issues that arose that were not previous known. I highly recommend Humpfreys services and will be using them again in the future.

After a long, discouraging few days of my air conditioner being out, Humphreys came out and saved the day. Actually, they saved our summer! They were super polite, professional, thorough, and prompt. I will be using Humphreys again in the future should my air conditioner fall me for a second time. Thank you so much, Humphreys! Hands down an obvious 5 star review from me!

I recently had my fireplace serviced, a humidifier put on my furnace and a little furnace repair done by Humphrey Plumbing Heating and Air and they were great! They were careful not to muck up my home, did great work and the price was something I would expect to pay for the product. I had obtained an estimate from another company for the same services that was astronomical! I was so happy to have found Humphreys and will use them again.

They did an installation of three sprit units in our new-to-us 100 year old home. They were quick and very communicative. By the time they finished I felt like I fully understood what they’d done and how to take care of things on my own. Very impressed with their service and professionalism.Edit/Update:When we had issues with our split units the summer after getting them installed, these guys came out so quick to help us. It took a while to figure out but they were responsive and quick to schedule us as soon as possible as soon as we called them. Really great guys and super professional. Love how they treat their customers, new and old.

This company came out to repair my AC, which they did not, charged me $300 for doing absolutely nothing, which I asked them what am I paying you for, and he said “I had to kill the bees that were inside your AC unit” and then told me I needed a new unit. (my home is only 12 years old) I had another company come out and they fixed the unit for less then $300. I would never use Humphrey again!!

Very pleased with this company. The ladies in the office were very helpful and had their guy out within a day for a bid. We switched over to a tank-less water heater and the installers did a great job and everything came out really nice and clean. Thanks again.

I had a work order with Humphrey for my AC compressor that Dave Lloyd came out for. Dave was quick, efficient, and also told me why the problem happened so that I could prevent it in the future. Irecommend asking for Dave.

My gas fireplace stopped turning on, and so I called to get it looked at. The tech came for about 15 minutes and said that we needed a new control unit. I was charged $129 for the service call (which included cleaning that my wife said didnt happen). The quote for the control unit was $439, which was really high (almost the cost of a new fireplace). I ended up buying a new control unit (thinking that was the problem) online for $90. After installing it, I still I had the same problem as before.At this point I read online that taking a wire brush to the flame sensor wire could help. Once it was cleaned, the fireplace starts up consistently with the old controller (has been for the last 3 weeks). I am just confused as to how the controller was ruled defective so quickly, and proper diagnostic steps were not taken into account. I hope other people have had better experiences, but I for one will look elsewhere for help with my fireplace.

Chad.was awesome! He came, fixed my spigot and pvc irrigation plumbing in about 20 minutes. He is a plumbing magician. i previously had another company come out and give me an estimate of over $1000 and another that didnt even show up. My service with the plumbers was waaaaay under that plus they are legit. Shortly after i scheduled them to come out to give me an estimate on my work i got an email, text message stating when they will be there. And guess what!?! They were punctual! Any future plumbing issues i have i will be calling Humphrey plumbing heating and air Awesome company with AWESOME customer service.

Our AC was broken and we were afraid it was needing to be replaced which would be a huge expense. James from Humphreys came out right on time, assessed the AC, tapped on the connector and it started right up! He watched it for a bit to be sure it was cooling just right, checked in the attic that everything was ok up there...he was so honest and efficient! I told him how much I appreciated his honesty! He could have charged me for a new connector panel, etc but instead was totally honest and got it running for just the fee of coming out to check it! We have used Humphreys now for about 2 years and they are honest, timely, fair in their pricing, and I would recommend them all day long!
