I just really want to share my appreciation for this company. I had an appointment this morning with a different company that ended up being unavailable (without notifying me). Andys was able to get my car in and the A/C fixed quickly. And the employee I spoke with was very helpful and courteous. I live up in Layton, and plan on coming back to these guys!

I worked here for nearly two years, and I cannot think of a time when I saw Matt or Jason do something dishonest. They are great to work with and get the job done right. I will continue to take my cars here to get them worked on.

I had to get my car lubed on the Saturday before Labor day before we could get out of town. As you can imagine it wasnt easy to find an available car service open & not swamped. I googled and found Andys Lube & Service. I was greeted quickly with a big smile by the two friendly brothers.I was impressed by the careful, competent service I received. I will definitely be back!

They did a good job with fixing my car when the brakes were having major problems, and I appreciated how they made an effort to help me understand all the car lingo, but I wouldnt recommend them for major repairs. My complaint mainly was their communication. I took it in on a Friday evening, and I was starting a new job on Monday, so they told me they would look at it for sure on Saturday and let me know. They also said they would get me a quote before they did any work. I waited all day Saturday and finally called them near closing time when they told me they had barely had time to look at it. I was also told the repair would probably be $400 tops. This went on most of the next week, with me waiting all day for a call and then calling in the evening so I could get an update, and they never did give me a good quote. Finally on Thursday, I called them after waiting all day again and was told that they had figured out the problem and replaced the part, but that the total was nearly $1,000. The last estimate I had heard was still around $400, so this was a big shock. They explained that it was because they had to do so many diagnostics to figure out what was wrong and they had to buy the part from a dealer. I ended up paying for it, but they sure didnt keep me in the loop, and Im sure I could have had someone else do it for cheaper.

I took my newly acquired truck to Andys to get the AC serviced. Matt called me several hours later and told me it want holding vacuum and quoted me what it would cost to use dye to locate the leak in order to replace the part that was leaking. A couple of hours later Matt called me and told me they couldnt find a leak. I guess our machine had an error. They still charged me for the the dye and extra refrigerant they used to look for a mystery leak. My AC worked exactly as it did before, after paying $168.00.I trusted that I simply didnt have a very good AC.Then, I took my truck in for an alignment. Matt told me that they would inspect all of the components that they would need to adjust to perform the alignment and if any didnt appear to be operable they wouldnt do it. Several hours later I get a call that my truck is done. When I went to pick it up, Matt explained they couldnt do a complete alignment because several of the components were seized and I would need to replace them. He said this is a common situation for my truck. He then quoted me over $400.00 for parts and even though he said the labor would be 1.5 hours he cautioned it could take longer if they needed to cut parts out to replace them. I estimated a few hours and he corrected me saying it could take over 8 hours. More than $640.00 in labor. So, it would cost over $1,000.00 to replace the components in the front end. They also informed me I had issues with my rear differential and that it needed to be replaced. It had fluid all over it. This was something that wasnt there prior to taking it in for the alignment. I do all of my own work, with the exception of stuff that takes equipment like an alignment rack and AC service machine. Needless to say, I still had four areas out of alignment with my results. I decided to take my truck down the street to another mechanic and he inspected everything, did the alignment without any issues, and informed me there is nothing wrong with the components in my front end. I then tightened up the bolts on my rear differential. Odd that that suddenly began leaking! I will never go back to Andys and now Im feeling like I should take my truck to another shop to get the AC serviced!In my opinion this is a mechanics shop that cannot be trusted!

My first interaction was very good. I was treated with respect, given options/advice. Matt took the time to educate me. Work was done the same day! Ive been a DIY guy. However, as the grey hair catches up with me, Im thinking this might be my shop for my next phase.-they seem to be as concerned about my vehicles as I am.

Just called the shop last second to see if I could get someone to drive my car to verify a potential tire bearing issue. Even though they were busy, they took the time to figure out what the problem was for me. They were so professional and genuine that not only do I plan using their auto service to fix the problem next week, I plan on coming back for any further automotive issues!

Andys Lube and Service did an amazing job for me on 12/19/2019 I came in for a oil change, etc. However, they also fixed a dent I had in the back of my car for free! the work was excellent, I couldnt be more impressed with the work, and detail they put into helping me fix the dent. The oil change service is great they top off all fluids, check and refill all the air in the tires, as part of the oil change. Its a great place to go and the service was professional and they are friendly and kind.

Having just moved to Utah from Kansas I was very skeptical about where to take my truck to. After some research and seeing the near perfect ratings for Andy’s, taking my truck to Andy’s was the best decision I made. Matt is very nice and honest, and the service I received went above and beyond my expectations. If you’re new to Utah and also are unsure of where to take your beloved vehicle, Andy’s is the place to go!

They havent worked on my car yet, but I wanted to drop a review for their honesty and frankness. I took my car elsewhere and got a quote for close to $3k of maintenance needed. That seemed crazy so I took it to Andys and brought my quote. Matt told me that a bunch of the stuff wasnt necessary, the other shop didnt even check on certain things they were saying needed done, and one service they wanted to charge me for was for a part that doesnt even EXIST on my car! Matt broke down everything and you can tell he is incredibly smart about the ins and outs of cars. Super nice people and I will definitely be taking my car back when weve got the cash to change the timing belt.Edit: Called them when my car wouldnt start after the FOB broke off the key, Matt told me over the phone how to get the car started and referred me to a key place that can work on chipped keys/FOBs. I appreciated that so much and he saved me a ton on a tow truck! Such an honest guy. Integrity is so important these days.

I bought a odyssey in Salt Lake City and ordered this guys to change oils, they charges me 55-60$ that is for full oil service, i drove to Ca and when my tire shop open wheels i just saw old oil filter still on my car!!!!!Should we sue them? For this low grade job !?

We stopped in on last minute notice to have them do an auto inspection on a used car I was considering to buy. They were so helpful and patient and took the time to inspect the car right away, thoroughly go over all it’s issues, and wrote up a written report. He even helped us know how to negotiate for a more reasonable price! We ended up not getting the car, and we are so thankful for Andy’s knowledge and affordability. Would highly recommend!

When I found this place, I was kinda just driving around trying to find a place to get my oil changed. Ive lived in Bountiful pretty much my whole life and I specifically didnt want a chain place like Jiffy Lube. I randomly pulled in without an appointment and Ive kept coming back since. Granted, its only been a couple years, but I really enjoy how convenient it is and fairly quick. I really like the guy Matt there. I feel as though I can trust him and hes not just trying to do a bunch of stuff to my car that doesnt really need to be done. So I dont mind paying a little extra to support local business and also because of their attention to detail. I would recommend this place to anybody that lives in the Bountiful area .

I had visited the local Nissan dealership for an estimate to fix a power steering leak and a leaky oil filter seal. They priced the work at $750 for parts and labor. I then ran my Armada over to Andys for a second opinion where they discovered all I needed was a new $2 hose clamp (as opposed to a new high pressure lines) and a $28 oil sensor. In all... only about $200 in parts and labor compared to the dealers $750. I cant say enough good things about Andys! Jason and Matt run a fantastic shop and Im a huge fan.

Ill never go anywhere else.Being a girl makes it a pain to go to the mechanic, Im so used to going in and having a place try and take advantage of my ignorance and basically tell me my car will explode if I dont fix 20 things.Not Andys, the staff is never pushy and are so helpful and nice. Theyre always quick and inexpensive. They always try to do the cheapest fastest option to fix your car. They never will make an expensive fix if they think there might be a simpler cheaper option to try first. Matt always makes my day hes so friendly.

I take my car here for an oil change because this is where I purchased my car. They always get me right in. Very friendly, remember my name, but $12 versas $5? I could take it to Jiffy Lube and get a $12 discount. Andys give me a $5 discount. I like the boys here at Andys. However, I think I will go get the $12 off at the other place next time. I need to save the cash.

After reading these reviews (which are stellar), we decided to take our brand new car here for its first oil change. It took us an hour to get our car in and oil changed which is normal. But!!!! If you want you car to leak oil for a week because they have no clue how to tighten the valve, then definitely go here. If you want an oil change that doesn’t leak all over your driveway, then find another place! After informing them that we were having issues due to the oil change gone wrong, they made us wait another hour before fixing the 30 second issue that they caused in the first place a week later! Avoid this place for oil changes!

Sometime ago we replace the damaged radiator here at Andys and it worked out fine until we had a problem on the freeway where it looked like it had some damage and I was so grateful for the people here at Andys, they decided to go ahead and replace it so they ordered a new radiator, it came in Fast and on time. They put it in quickly and then I was so shocked and surprised when they didnt charge me for the radiator because it was covered by a guarantee. I sure have enjoyed them thank you

I had previously purchased some exhaust parts for me car but was unable to get them installed. Matt at Andy’s lube was able to work with me in getting my parts installed. They initially gave a me very reasonable quote and I had them begin. Not too long into the process it was apparent that the parts I had purchased didn’t fit exactly right and they would need to be modified to fit correctly. Matt was very upfront about what was going on and the increase in price from the original quote. I gave him permission and he proceeded. When I went to pick up my car he showed me the pieces that needed to be cut/modified and explained the whole process. While it was a bummer that I had to pay more than I thought I was going too, it could not have been handled any better and everything was explained thoroughly.Additionally, on top of all the modification that were needed to the parts, my car is kind of a rusty mess and there were some bolts that snapped off that needed to be replaced, I felt I was given a very fair price for all the additional work that was required despite it being higher than what was originally quoted. I would recommend Andy’s lube and service to anyone, and particularly Matt.

They are the most honest shop I have ever been to. They actively look for the least expensive way to do things and are honest with me about the urgency of certain repairs they recommend.Jason and Matt are good honest people who have bent over backwards to help me and my family. I refer them to all I know now.We needed a new car. My wife liked them so much that she insisted we look at their cars first. THey didnt disappoint. We got our last 2 cars from them and they have really taken care of us. Even though the cars were as is, they still helped with some minor problems free of charge. I wish more mechanics/businesses were like these guys.

Had 2 great experience with Andys and the 3rd was really rough. Check engine light was on. Was originally quoted $580 dollars. Said it would be done same day and it took 5 days longer than expected. My wife sat and waited inside the shop for about 5 hours and they sent her off with the car. Car check engine light came right back on and was idling worse than before it was misfiring on the 3rd cylinder. She took it straight back and they had to put another $200 dollars worth of parts into the car. Wife was stranded and had to get a rental car.When I initially dropped off the car the air wasn’t working right in the car. I asked them to see what was going on since my wife’s feet were getting cold. When we asked them to check it out they did and then fixed it without even quoting us a price.. another $400 dollars. Mostly labor.. we had no idea. When I asked why they didn’t let us know how must it would could they said they just assumed we wanted it done (every other time before they had called us). I told him I would never had consented to that. Matt the started talking to me very sarcastically in front of my customers saying that “I don’t have a magic ball, I can’t just snap my fingers and know what is wrong with the car”... when I talked to Jason he admitted they were in the wrong but didn’t do anything to make it better. We expected more communication and would never have paid that much to get it fixed. Oh and on top of that they told us the air was fixed, my wife wasn’t even to Salt Lake yet and it started making a thumping noise. We took it back again and they realized that they put a bad part in or the wrong part in again and they had to change it out.When I finally picked up the car after a week and a half of services and for the 3rd time the check engine light was back on.. Jason said that was normal? He reset the light and said to drive it around...$1,300 dollars later and check engine light is still on and air doesn’t work correctly. Be skeptical of these guys. I’d take it back but don’t feel confident the problems will be fixed.In they end they did offer a free oil change if we wanted.

Andys techs are pros, and they do the job right. Their shop rates are among the lowest around, and I trust their honesty. They dont do unnecessary work, they dont gouge customers for simple repairs, and they dont try to sell you things you do not need (aside from an occasional air filter, which you sometimes need). I drive my cars from 4600 S in Salt Lake all the way to Andys in Bountiful because I have confidence they will do the job right.

Most honest shop Ive ever dealt with. My car was diagnosed with an alternator problem by multiple other shops. It didnt feel right to me (seemed like just a bad battery). Brought it to Andys - they diagnosed it as the battery, saving me tons of money. More importantly, turns out that they were right (not the alternator). This is my second experience with them. They have been very honest, prompt, easy to work with, and havent tried to upsell me. I would recommend them for anyone who is willing to drive to Bountiful - they are worth going out of your way for.
