I reserved APEX on a Saturday afternoon for my daughters birthday party There were 6 kids with an age range of 12-15. Staffer Max greeted us, ensured all waivers were in place, and showed me where I could set up drinks and snacks for the kids. For the next two hours he taught them how to safely lower themselves from the high structures and engaged in spirited play with them, often pausing to provide useful instruction on how to navigate the equipment safely. At the end he taught them how to do various flips on the trampoline. The kids had a wonderful time and many asked to return for further instruction. I couldnt thank Max enough for making the experience such a positive one for all the kids.

My daughter and I both decided to take classes at Apex School of Movement in Louisville. Through the professional instruction, I found myself performing maneuvers I thought I would never be able to do, and I witnessed my daughter become stronger and more confident in her agility, something every child needs. All of the instructors have been amazing and passionate in their teachings. As soon as my son is old enough, we will sign him up as well (they have an amazing additional family member discount program)!

My kid wants to be ‘a ninja’. I want him to be safe. My other kid wants to gracefully jump from rooftop to rooftop. I’m not ready for that. Her bravery scares me sometimes.Children will inherently climb all over playground equipment the way it was intended as well as new and inventive ways. They simply need to move.Their bodies are constantly growing. They have to find their center of balance, sometimes daily. They need to adjust to new heights and changing centers of gravity. It is so important for them to feel physically grounded and connected from their feet to the earth. The trained coaches at APEX Movement can guide your child through these changes. Your child can burn off energy, increase coordination, feel welcomed and be encouraged by others all while simply having fun!... and should should see what the adults learn!APEX rocks!

I took a speed course there with Apexs coach Jake Smith. The level of instruction here is way beyond anything Ive received in a gym or outside. The coaches are warm and welcoming, but professional and very knowledgeable. The space is built with several levels of progression in mind. Its got heights, bars, rails, tight spaces and big jumps. All in all this is an awesome place.

As noted by other reviewers, as a gym, this business is worthy- instructors are knowledgeable, engaged and good with the kids in our experience, and the facility itself is great- but the business end is still under construction so to speak. The front desk is altogether too casual, not always interested in customer service in either presentation or execution. Im just talking about eye contact, greeting people who come in, having hard copies of schedules, taking a number and having someone get back to the interested client rather than saying its all online-, no problem with the sport appropriate dress or multi-tasking as front end staff, just less than solid skills there in our experience. We would have gone elsewhere if there were an option based on the front end experience, both in person and in trying to call. Its hit or miss and oriented toward self-service rather than proactive customer service. I recognize this is old-school but you do lose customers with this approach. The schedule needs to be posted clearly, the desk needs to be manned/covered by a proactive, customer oriented employee, phones need an answering service or message box of some kind during off hours. This would be a 4 or 5 star review if it was strictly about the offerings of the gym itself- we recommend APEX and have let people looking know that theyre there! Hope this is helpful to the management in developing the business.

Teachers are great and engaged, but this group doesnt know how to run a business. I need to watch every transaction and am constantly correcting mistakes on our account. A business manager and customer service rep are truly needed with Apex - but - my son loves it!

If youre looking to learn parkour from some of the communitys experts, or just want a place where you can enjoy movement with fun and open minded people, then look no more. APEX Movement has a strong reputation for great coaches and producing amazing athletes of all ages. The community they have built is supportive and full of intellectuals that are knowledgeable, friendly, and really helpful regardless of your experience level. There is reason people travel internationally to go to an APEX gym. Their gyms are some of the most well designed playgrounds and movement laboratories ever built. Personally Ive traveled out of state multiple times to train in these gyms and experience their wonderful community.Go in and check them out today. You will leave APEX feeling inspired and fulfilled every time you go there.

Just visited on a whim since we were in Boulder for a work trip. They have a Wednesday night open adult/teen gym from 8:30-10pm. Came with some coworkers of varying fitness. The crew here, even though there was no obligation to help us learn anything since it was open gym, was extremely welcoming and helpful, taught us stuff from rolls to jumps to lache basics. So friendly and awesome. Thanks Thomas and Alex! Also thanks to the random kid who helped us out early on!

[EDIT 6/18/19] After putting in this review and disputing the charge through my credit card, management reached out to me to give us a full refund. Im glad they did this, but wish it hadnt wasted a whole bunch of our time and raised our anxiety for an entire week. As I told them in prior communications, I think they have some good things going on at this gym, but they need to rethink how they run this camp.Original review:My experience with APEX was a $300 week-long ninja-camp for my five-year-old son. Short version is that they did not create a safe learning environment for the kids there, and I want to give others this information to make an informed decision about sending their kids there.- Ratio was 15-16 kids aged five to teen with one instructor, and one apprentice, who seemed to be a young high schooler. Given that we were each paying $20 per hour ($300/hr total from all the kids), this was woefully understaffed, and created an unsafe environment in their large space. The nature of their gym is many blind spots/levels/etc, and there was no way their one coach could keep an eye on them, especially when...- The majority (literally 2+ hours) of the 3 hours was free play, i.e. no skills being taught. This was very different than what we experienced in our hour-long free class that had made us want to sign up for this expensive camp. This was very different than their posted example camp schedule on the website, which indicated a lot of structure and skill development. We want our boys to play, but when we are paying this much, we expect more structure. Plus, the coach was late and made the 16 kids and parents wait outside until he arrived one day. He admitted to being late to the manager, but later the owner denied it.- Age range of the class was way too large. The older boys broke off and did some games during free time, but the younger ones just sort of wandered around. Neither coach seemed to know what to do with 5 year olds. Given that the APEX website suggests people use their child care tax exemption to offset class costs, there should be some more knowledge around how to care for children. Several parents noticed that there was no safety around who can pick up kids and when, since no one was at the front desk while class was going. Again, with >$300 per hour coming in from the camp tuition, this seems like a poor business decision.- We clearly and diplomatically approached the manager about our concerns (via phone, as our experience is like many other reviewers who have said it is very difficult to get customer service) after two days, as I always feel that is better than taking grievances directly to online review. Both manager and owner gave excuses for all concerns, and refused a refund of any sort, saying all sales are final. Again, poor business practices. There are several similar small businesses in the area, and we will be encouraging our friends with similar aged children to frequent those instead of APEX.

Visiting Apex Movement in Boulder was such a wonderful opportunity. The design of the gym is great and allows for so much creativity and caters towards all aspects of parkour and freerunning. The staff there were not only great people, but very knowledgeable too. They were phenomenal coaches who not only know what they are talking about but know how to communicate it too. The staff at Apex Movements Boulder location are doing many things right and I would highly recommend anyone to take classes there, attend events, or visit when they are in the area.

Apex Movement boulder is one of the best (if not the best) establishments for furthering the education of parkour, freerunning and other movement arts. Not only is the facility gigantic and cater to any level of athlete, but the staff consists of highly trained and lovable people. If I lived in the boulder area, I wouldnt have any money because I would be spanned it here, daily. If youve ever thought about learning parkour or you do parkour and want a great environment to polish your skills, this is the place to be.
