This place is quick and very professional. I travel from Edmonds to go here every time for my DOL needs. Pat helped me out today with applying for a lost title and tabs. She was super helpful, friendly and fast. Every time I go here the staff has been amazing. Worth the trip and highly recommend this place.
Super fast service here! In Washington State, you get your license and vehicle plates from two different places. Your license comes from the DMV and that will take you at least an hour, even with an appointment. For your vehicle plates, you can get them here (at Canyon Park Licensing,) which is a privately operated company and they are speedy fast! I was in and out of there in 5 minutes and I had the new WA metal plates in hand (you dont have to wait for them to mail it to you if you dont want a vanity plate.) There was no wait for me when I showed up at 10:30am on a Saturday but even for folks who showed up after me, the wait was only 1 or 2 people long and no more than 10 minutes. The annual vehicle registration cost for a Corolla vehicle was $336 (I dont know if this is considered expensive or not--it was about $50 more than the annual renewal fee in California but I do see there is a $15 out of state vehicle check, $15 title service fee for the new Washington State title, and $20 original issue plate fee.) What you need to bring to get Washington plates: All you need is your vehicle title and your Washington State license and you are good to go. There is no advanced booking required (and actually there is no system to book an appointment slot.) If you dont want to pay the credit or debit card fees for the vehicle registration, bring a personal check. They then mail you the new Washington vehicle title in the mail.

They closed 10 minutes early because of the heat. Because they couldnt wait until they were actually closed I have to pay a 50 fine. Something tells me what they did was very illegal
I had been dealing with an insurance company that still has not followed through with me personally on a mistake they had made. The folks at Canyon Park licensing took my issue and got it handled. What Id been trying to resolve for 7 weeks, they fixed it in a week. My heroes!!

You pay $400 for new tabs, they loose them in the mail, then make you pay more money to replace the tabs they failed to send you. Guess this is why everyone hates the DOL
Went in on a monday afternoon for a title transfer. The max occupancy is 6 in the lobby. I went in with no line and was out of there in 5 minutes. This really is a quick licensing office and highly recommend a visit.
Even though there is licensing closer to me I like to come to this location. They are always so helpful and very quick.

Beware of the Worst service person in this Licensing & Notary office!! They’re open till 6pm on Saturday and when I walked in to get one page document notarized on 7/28/2018 at 5pm, he said that all of their Notary folks are gone and they work till 5pm only (nothing of that sort is updated on their website) and asked me to come back on Monday (today), which I did! But to my utter shock, he himself was an authorized Notary public and notarized papers for the folks in front of me in the line today! I ended up with a nice lady Notary at the next counter, who was helpful to me, but, when I was leaving he smirked at me!! Wow!! Well, just watch out for this fellow out there!!

Wow. In past visits I have always found Canyon Park Licensing to be friendly and helpful. That ended today. I presented paperwork to transfer a vehicle title. The woman I dealt with was the most obnoxiously passive aggressive (bad word, starts with B) . You would not think I was paying CPL for transfer, more that I was deemed worthy to be served.She just started pounding stuff into the computer, sneering that I should know the exact model number of a car I just bought, for future reference its an LE When I asked for an express title transfer the response was another sneer of why didnt you ask for that at the start, now I have to start over, (and charge you more $). I pointed out that I had completed a title transfer form and put it on the counter in front of her. The form had the express title box ticked, and she would have seen this, if she even bothered to look at the document. She took my money and tossed my ID back at me, indicating that the transaction was complete, and I could now leave with the title.And when she said have a nice day well you know that was BS.

The clerk who helped me was fantastic. She understood immediately what I needed to do with my vehicle title. I asked a probably dumb question and she told me (in the nicest way) to just wait a minute until things were processed. Within a minute she handed me the certificate of title and I saw that it was exactly what I wanted/needed. It was a rather quick process considering the stereotype of licensing places (Total time at clerk - probably less than 5 minutes. Total time in line - about 20-30 minutes at around 2 PM on a Saturday).
I mostly renew my car tabs from this place online. It has been a seamless experience each time and received tabs in time always.
The remark about returning here multiple times is old but dead on. I kept getting sent away to get different documentation for an out of state lease. I finally called the state office in Olympia and was told I had the only info I needed the first visit. These people have no idea what they are doing. If you have anything even remotely complicated you better go somewhere else.
They always make wrong assumptions and ask for additional documents for literally everything.

Former employee. I asked for proof of employment/wages so I could apply for state benefits and to apply for an apartment. The owners only agreed after I pleaded with each owner individually. The next day? They fired me, for coercing them into something theyve never done in the history of [their] business.I felt I was treated like a subhuman who made a completely unreasonable request. It was incredibly uncomfortable and rude.
This place sets the standard for service, and they are a licensing department! This is why govt needs to use private enterprise whenever possible. Ive been licensing equipment for 35 years and have never had such a great experience as I have with Canyon Park. No matter where you live in the state, when you order online choose these guys. If I dont go in but order online, I will often have tabs in 24-48 hours. They immediately mail when you place order. Refused to print out a simple document and forced me to go across the street to pay $3 to print out one piece of paper when the DMV in federal way did it eagerly.
First off, allow me to say I have never written a review for a company, but my experience was so terrible here that I had to write one for this one. Do NOT go in here for anything. The staff is incredibly rude and most have absolutely NO clue what theyre doing. Ill explain my situation, I was selling a car I recently bought, and the title hadnt cleared yet, it was still within the waiting period. I called my local DOL (not Canyon Park) the day before to ask whether or not I could still transfer the title with a notarized form, which I can. The b*tch behind the counter repeated the same line four different times to questions which werent really about the issue anymore. She said Without the title clearing there is no way to transfer the title until it clears with a smug look on her face. She said that exact same line when I tried to explain to her that my local DOL had told me to it this way, which really didnt have anything to with it anymore. I said why would my (home town) DOL tell me to do it this way, if I cant? to which she responded with the same line, Without the title clearing there is no way to transfer the title until it clears. OBVIOUSLY I understood that, as this was the fourth time she said it. It wasnt until I asked for her manager that she told me we dont have a manager, so I asked to speak to someone else who knew the system a little bit better top which she replied youll hear the same thing from both of these two (her co-workers), and guess what? One of them actually wanted to help and told me I was right. The original woman I spoke to was an absolute tw*t and Im still mad about this 5 hours later. She seems like the kind of woman whos recently divorced, her children (if she has them) hate her, and has been beaten down by the world. Im positive she reconciles with reality TV shows, eating full gallons of ice cream in a sitting, and sleeping as much as possible because she hates every waking hour of the day. To whatever your name is, I hope you read all of this. B*tch.
Service was great and friendly and best of all, they are open til 6 pm on Saturdays!!! The $5 wildlife donation is an a utomatic addition to ur total unless u opt out of it. Donations instead of taxes, either way, its for a good cause.

I renewed my tabs online on March 1. Its March 12th and theyre still not here! I checked my bank account and the money cleared on March 4th. I called them this morning (on a Saturday) and to no surprise, no one picked up, so I left a message inquiring about my missing car tabs... No call back...
