Having the right insurance for our family is more about who do you trust than how much do you pay? With Chris Jones and his State Farm Insurance Agency you get both trustworthy service, better rates and more coverage for your dollar. I had the pleasure this week working with Fernando Guaren helping a friend look at her insurance coverage and she was able to significantly reduce her expense and increase her coverage. Fernando explained everything in understandable terms and was able to answer all her questions. You cant go wrong with Chris and his team.

Like many my life circumstances and insurance requirements changed last year due to COVID, and without going into exact details in a public forum, that led to a very bad and time consuming experience this renewal period which leaves me feeling pretty ripped off, like I am just a recurring revenue stream being opaquely and sociopathically milked to help hit some arbitrary internal metrics, regardless of what coverage I actually want or need. The short version is: You may Add To The Coverage, but you should never Remove From The Coverage, Citizen. When A Change Would Negatively Impact Our Revenue, We May Just Charge You More For Something Else Somehow, and Hope You Never Look Into It.That may (or may not) be technically legal, but I consider it shady.I dont know enough about the internals of State Farm to figure out how much of my bad experience is due to headquarters in some other state, vs Chris, vs some or all of his staff, and I will not speculate. My situation could be unique and the issues I have may never affect you. But I would suggest anyone using this company - really any insurance company - take a weekend to review the premium changes, plus the detailed policy and fine print, from the past few years or so to decide if theyre still being treated reasonably. Are you satisfied with a 10% premium refund on your auto policy if (due to the lockdowns) you drove, say, one tenth as much? Some people are apparently good with that, but if you have finance training you should understand that the net result is frankly a major ripoff actuarially. (I will let you come up with your own theories about why state lawmakers and/or regulators did not require larger refunds. Some options are campaign contributions, incompetence, regulatory capture, all of the above).Anyway with Madoff no longer operating, it appears insurance premiums are the only thing in the entire global financial system that somehow still compound at >10%/yr, year-after-year, even when theres no inflation, you have zero claims, good credit, etc, and even as the attorneys add dozens of pages of fine print every few years containing another giant list of things the base policy wont cover anymore, even as the insurance company makes a substantial fortune investing the float.There is a reason why Buffett loves this industry so much, and its probably not because of how fairly and plainly it treats its customers who are often being essentially forced by the government to buy at any price. So, what can be done? Well, unlike parts of the telco industry, it is not a full monopoly yet and thus one may at least try to shop around. Perhaps State Farm is the best of the bad for you, or perhaps it was once but is no longer. There is at least one startup that may better serve people who do not drive much. In certain cases you might be able to self-insure with a bond, or get coverage under more favorable terms within a different state or country (IANAL, TINLA). The system sucks, so arbitrage it any way you legally can. What I can note is that the people leaving 4 and 5 star reviews here have probably never had an atypical or complex claim, never tried to greatly reduce no-longer-needed coverage, and/or are just willing to accept high-percentage premium increases alongside adverse policy changes year after year. This is a pretty rich area and not everyone will notice or care if they are being slowly boiled by 10-15% increases plus an occasional 50% increase slipped in without any explanation when they decide your Fair Share is Way More.

I bought the insurance for my vehicl insurance in your office, and what happened in the past few days has made me very angry. Last week the rear glass of my car was smashed, I went to my agent to deal with the matter, his name is YUSHENG HUANG.He gave me an extremely unprofessional and irresponsible handling method. I did the report by myself, and I did it by myself to communicate with the claims center. I did it by myself when I went to the dealer to ask for a quotation.He just called me and said that insurance could not fully cover the maintenance costs, and he had no way of doing it. This makes me feel that he will only show up when paying fees and never help me to get anything I need.He gave me all the work, just like I found a lawyer to help me with the lawsuit, and the lawyer gave me a law book so that I could learn to solve the lawsuit by myself.He actually told me that he is just an assistant, he can only do these things.This is a person who is extremely irresponsible and has no responsibility. I will not buy insurance in your office anymore. Im so disappointed in him.Fernando helped me solve this problem, the response was swift, and I got the compensation I deserved

Insurance can be a bit intimidating and hard to understand. Peace of mind is everything. Before we went through Chris, we had car insurance through one company and our homeowners through another and we did not have peace of mind. We were happy with our car insurance but the person who had our homeowners hadn’t contacted us in 3 years. I called to get earthquake insurance. We were told that it’s always a separate company who writes those policies and it was VERY expensive. That earthquake company was out of state and had bad reviews. I started my search. I called Chris, from a referral, and was told that State Farm writes earthquake!Then the magic happened.He was able to give us full coverage on both vehicles, and an incredible homeowners policy with earthquake insurance (with more coverage and lower deductible) AND saved us more annually than the other 2 separate policies! On top of that we have added on another umbrella policy when we found out how low the cost was.He and his staff are by far the most caring, fun, outgoing people I’ve ever worked with. Every time I call they brighten my day. They are ultra responsive. Didn’t matter what time I called from a vacation when I had a rental car problem, phone was answered right away. They are fast to respond to email also. Over the last year it’s uncanny how many people I know who use him for insurance. I had a great experience with some lovely staffs, namely Tim, Jesse and Joceline. They were really clear about the coverage that my insurance covers and they also follow up regarding any matter if any. What I really appreciate is, they show empathy because when I asked for lower price, I didnt feel like the staffs were pressuring me to stay in a certain coverage, they just give me their honest opinion about what the different coverages cover and dont and what they recommend for my vehicle, but the decision all comes down to me and they didnt make a big deal out of it.

As a college student moving here from Hawaii (a.k.a. not knowing anything about mainland insurances and car recommendations), Chris Jones and his expert team have personally helped me set up insurance for my car. When I went in there, honestly I was a little skeptical. Thanks CJ SF!Where to begin.....May 2015 my insurance that I had for 7 years hiked up my rate ( I didnt have any previous claims or accidents). I was shopping online and submitted for a quote from State Farm. The next day I received a phone call, set up an appointment went in and got set up with double the coverage and for less than what I was even paying initially. I work with Jordon and I cant say how impressed I am with the amount of savings he has gotten me, the knowledge he has provided me with and most importantly the hospitality he has shown me since switching to State Farm. This office will treat you like family you can tell they genuinely want the best for you its not all show just to get your business, they are the real deal. Everyone in their office is super friendly and I have never waited more than a few hours for a response.

We recently switched to Chris as our agent after getting to know Kai, who works there. Prices are definitely much better than Geico (which our auto was originally with) and I like being able to manage all of my insurance in one place. Kai has been wonderful to work with - she answers all my dumb questions and helps me actually understand my insurance coverage.

Horrible insurance company. We have insurance with them for our business. Every time we called they never could get our account information correct then got to the point they were connecting it to others personal accounts. We would call and leave several messages no one would call us back, when we did get in touch with someone they said they would pass the messages on and we still never got calls back. I actually set up the insurance and account and at one point they told me I did not have permission to access the account. We moved locations and told them we were moving jan 1st and the address of our new location. For the month of January we had the correct rate charged to us. Then the next statement we received in April because we were automatic payments, was triple our payment. I also noticed they had 3 addresses on the statement including the home address of other people and our old address. I immediately called and the gentleman said I am not sure I will get those addresses off and have someone call u back. We tried for weeks to get in touch with someone and every time we called Chris and Fernando were busy and no one ever called us back. Then we finally got in touch with someone and were told they were billing us for 2 locations, what are you kidding me. Still for a few more weeks management would not get back to us. So we finally had to drive an hour and a half to the insurance office. The first one we went to we were told Chris Jones was too busy to help us so then we drove another half hour and met with fernando he told us they are working on credits and have no idea how that happened. Over the next 2 months the amount of our statements has changed and they issued us a $17 refund check. So again trying to get in touch with someone they are now saying that are bill will be lower but there is nothing about the overcharges they can do. Speechless, this is how you treat your customers for your mistake.

This is my 3rd State Farm office in the past 25 years and by far the best office Ive been with. The service is impeccable, the rates are competitive and Chris is the best khaki wearing Jake Ive met. ;)

Okay so here is the deal, I went to interview for a near by hospital and thinking of relocating to this area looking for insurance and stumbled across this place – bottom line AWESOME place with friendly people.PROS- friendly people – they work & get things done also know how to make the work environment fun.- lots of parking- even though I only speak English, this place has multi languages available.- open on Sunday- near by foodCONS- (don’t know if this is necessary)

Chris Jones is a friend for life of one of my relatives. Being that we are both in the insurance industry, I occasionally pick his brain about various topics. Having lost touch with Chris for several months, I found myself in a situation where I needed an auto insurance agent ASAP. I was gifted a car, needed to switch auto insurance carriers, needed to add an additional car, needed quotes and already spent 20 minutes online looking for an agent with no results to speak of.
