One of the easiest shipping experiences I’ve ever had. I was returning two items from different vendors - one required the UPS team to scan a barcode and the other I had already attached a return label to.When I arrived there was one person in front of me who needed more help, but the SINGLE employee working was able to handle both of us at the same time and make it so I was in and out. This location can get crowded and sometimes the clientele are a bit clueless, but the employees are typically polite, efficient, and really knowledgeable. Also, not sure who needs to read this, but parking is hard here, but it’s also Boston…so not sure who expects to magically find parking.
Michael aka Chef is easily the most helpful person Ive ever met at a UPS store. He was the epitome of efficiency, professionalism, and friendliness. We brought in an aggressive number of boxes to ship of all shapes and sizes and he walked us through each one offering his vast insight as to the best approach to get our valuables there in one piece. I will absolutely be using this store to ship everything in the future.
Absolutely the worst experience. Being a foreigner it was absolutely the worst experience.I needed help with printing a shipping lable and I was told with a very condescending tone of voice that I should help myself by myself.
Best UPS store I’ve been to. Everyone’s really friendly, helpful, and efficient. The store can get busy at times but they somehow manage everything flawlessly and make sure everyone’s needs are met quickly and fully. Jonathan and Brad are consistently the best customer service guys I’ve dealt with anywhere.
I just came from this UPS branch on Columbus Ave, Boston. I needed a Notary signature, I had 2 forms that needed to be notarized, 2 signatures. I was charged $29.22. When charging me, I was told “we are having problems with the system, so the charge will come up as miscellaneous”. After leaving, I looked up Notary charges, which states a notary can’t charge more than $1.25, and CAN’T charge what they want. So now it clear why that charge was “miscellaneous”. I should have looked this up before I was ripped off, but for anyone else, beware! Especially at this branch.
Very impressed with Michael, the guy behind the counter today. I stopped in to send out about 10 return items for Amazon. He was running around helping all three of us in there at the same time. Always nice to see someone giving their 110%
Ive been to the Columbus Ave UPS dozens of times, and without exception these guys have always been incredibly kind, helpful and accurate, even during the busiest hours. From what Ive seen when other customers are in the store, these guys treat everyone as well as they treat me. Top-notch customer service all the way!
I’ve never met anyone so helpful as Michael. I don’t know how he manages to be so efficient and friendly - it’s truly the best customer service ever. Thank you Michael - you’ve made me a loyal UPS customer
Michael is one of the friendliest, most thorough, and efficient people Ive met at any UPS or FedEx. Great service by Michael and the team!
The staff here is super helpful and polite. They work hard and are super responsive. To people who complain about the $2 donation to seal your box...the USPS will make you buy a roll of tape...just bring your box sealed! Or make the donation. They will affix your label for you here. Getting a UPS box here was the best money I spent all year.
That guy was so rude to me so angry at me .I have no idea why who ever that guy was he probably had a bad day or something . I dont feel comfortable coming here again
One of the most rudest customer service experiences I have ever had at any UPS store. I don’t ever write reviews, but this was just an absolutely horrible experience. Not only did the man behind the counter let me get a word in, but he was and condescending. Spoke over me With a loud, rude and disrespectful tone and did not try to explain in a calm manner what was required.
Very friendly staff and always helpful!
The two bearded guys who are usually up at the counter here are always extremely chipper, positive, and ready to help! They also know how to keep a line moving.
I didn’t get the guy’s name but he was very efficient and friendly. The store was busy and he was the only one there yet managed to handle multiple customers at once. Thumps up for my first experience.
Excellent Service!
One of the most rudest customer service experiences I have ever had at any UPS store.
Used to go there for sending out my packages.Today, I went there to return my Amazon package. The package needed around 20 inches tape to seal it and send it out. They asked me to either buy a new tape or make a $2 donation to tape my package!!!I have never been asked to pay for using a tape in any of the postal services offices before!I will never go back there for anything!
These guys are top notch! It is a pleasure visiting this location--always efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and kind.
Horrible customer service. I was having an issue with the package and the guy tried to say that he did not work for UPS when he clearly did. He would not let me talk without interrupting me and I felt discriminated against as a young woman. Never go here if you want to be treated with kindness and respect.
Very curteous and helpful!
Kj was so helpful! I will definitely come here over usps or fedex any day! Customer service is night and day!
Made wait too long in hold 2 time very unprofessional
This place is usually busy but the staff is usually really considerate to the fact that lines can build up quickly. There was a person working today (3.10.20 @ 11a) who I had never seen before and they were *really* fast and courteous and I really appreciated it!
The Customer Service Is Great in and out in no time
Really nice people working here. Very polite.I would rather come to this UPS Store its closer and easy to get too.
This is probably the worst UPS store in Boston. I have had items never leaving the store and I have been asked to donate $2.00 in order for them to tape my package. Avoid this store if possible and use the one on Newbury St.
Great customer service! After circling around for a parking spot without success, I made the decision to park illegally, hoping that the process to open a business mailbox would be quick. Michael sprang into action when I told him about my parking situation. Despite being quiet when I first walked in, it soon got busy and he and the other employee was forced to multi-task. Michael was perhaps the manager or the senior of the 2 employees and was adept at delegating and multi-tasking while getting my account completed. In a world where customer service is seriously lacking, it was a breath of fresh air to be receiving service that went above and beyond. Thank you Michael!
Store was supposed to be open. I even called in advance and the recording stated revised hours which I complied with. Carried bulky package 1/2 mile to store which turned out to be closed. No sign - no nothing. Other customer arrived just after I did and was also not very happy about situation.
The two bearded men who work here are amazing . Constantly have positive attitudes and energy and fall over themselves to be helpful even when it is slammed . I wish I know how they did it but I appreciate it none the less
Friendly staff always willing to help, makes it a great experience. Safe and convenient place to have packages delivered.
Sorry but I must change my review from August 2018. William, who helped me then, was fine. See original below. However, whoever owns this store should be embarrassed by the way he has handled my lost package. I literally shipped 23 parcels in August of 2018. 22 of them made it perfectly fine to their destinations; one did not. I knew exactly what was in the lost parcel - dog food and assorted dog items. No luck tracing the parcel. After a few back and forth phone calls and emails, I provided the store with all the info they needed to make a claim. Which apparently was successful because on Oct. 2nd the claim was processed and cashed - BY THIS UPS STORE. MY CLAIM WAS PAID TO THE STORE, NOT ME. They have not returned my calls or emails. I have been in contact with the UPS Corporate Customer Service to complain but it has been weeks now. So sorry, but have to take this public now. Dont use this location. Thats all.(Original post is below)Very positive experience at this location. William, who usually doesnt even work at that location, helped me and my daughter ship 23 parcels/boxes/suitcases on a Saturday. We had to make two trips. He was very helpful and not overwhelmed by the size of our shipments. He was the only one working for some of that time, but he managed other customers as well. Parking is not great around there, par for the course in Boston, but on our first trip we got a spot early in the AM on Columbus Ave. and the second trip we parked right next to the door, even though that was resident parking only. Helpful hint - the more you can box yourself ahead of time, the cheaper it will be. My daughter is moved out of Boston now but I would recommend this location to anyone in the area.
I went there for a complicated shipping and Marc helped me. He was the best ups worker I’ve ever seen. He was very patient and explain everything to me clearly. Nice guy and was good experience.
James is the best UPS employee I have ever seen. Despite of the long line at 6:30PM in Monday and 83 degree outside with a broken air conditioner in the store, James was very patient with every customer and treating everyone with a smile. He truly deserves a raise.
The cashiers were nice and knowledgeable. The manager Eric was very rude and would not bother to look for my envelope. No I can’t recommend this store.
Super friendly and professionalFast serviceBest location in Boston downtown area
Great service. Very nice and helpful attention
Great service!
Excellent customer service, been going here for years. Shipping, printing, they sell boxes and even notary service. Great resource for business owners.
Your store is involved in a scam. They are giving this address and saying if you fill out this survey then you receive a check for 452.00 .I will contact the main office since the worker ( male) does not care . If he was a great worker and dedication d tgen he would of been kind and passed this on to their fraud squad. I am now .
Awful customer service. Unwilling to practically resolve customer issues. Based on my experience here, I would completely refrain from using ANY UPS service if I could. As a frequent customer, I’m completely disappointed and dissatisfied.
They are friendly, efficient, and professional. Its a pleasure to interact with people who clearly take pride in a job well done.
Excellent in every way. Quick and professional service, very helpful
One guy that works there, opened up a few minutes late. He sees myself and another lady there holding boxes. He unlocks from the inside and just walks away - doesnt open the door, doesnt say anything. I told the guy I needed to have my label flat on the box. He folded it in half and stuck it in a plastic bag anyway. This location used to have extremely like-able and knowledgeable people. Scraping the bottom of the barrel now.
Eric and his team are hard working, friendly, customer service oriented and get the job done. From help with small prints, to complex packaging and shipping needs, they do a little bit of everything here.
Do not chose this location as an access point -- they have rejected my delivery twice without any explanation, requiring me to spend 30min on the phone with the 1-800 number.
Wicked nice staff. I called on behalf of an elderly friend for a service they dont provide but the person I spoke with went out of his way to call his vendors and neighbors to see who could help out.
Im about to start a Kickstarer campaign, however, I knew almost nothing about how I was going to ship my projects rewards to my backers. They explained everything in clear and simple terms and offer a great service. Theyll allow me to drop-ship my products (i.e. send them straight there from the manufacturer and then send them directly to the customer) so I dont have to ship anything to my small apartment in Boston. They seemed super legit. A much better experience than dealing with the Post Office, FedEx, or the larger UPS warehouses Ive been to.
Helpful and reliable mail and package services, esp the private mailbox services.
Requested Notary service... answer no one available.. fail
Whoever put 5 stars must be a close friend of the owner because is the worst store I have ever used in the entire USA. I don’t understand how they are still in business
The worst place to send package. Eric is the worst sale man ever. He doesnt have respect for women at all. I wonder how he treat his parent especially his mother.
Very good customer service and friendly..great service..
Inconsistent service. They change policies based on the day of the week and person working!
Here at 1:40pm on Sunday. Should be open until 4pm, but it is closed with no notice.
Great service, nice people
Excellent service.
There is always something wrong with this store it’s already 3 times - today I’m not able to do any of my returns - computer is down and also they’re trying to charge me $6 for an amazon prime return like it’s not common knowledge that they’re free the guy smoked something and now I’m stuck here
I dont hate it I love it
Didn’t know how to send certified mail.
On top of there jobs. Professionals.
I called and told the guy I got a scam email with this this stores address. The gentleman did not care and refused to give me his name so I could report him to corporate. Very fishy if you ask me.
Never open by 9am
Completely Unacceptable Service
I just do
Great
