I had a great experience working with them. I had to scale up for better opportunities, but once they recognized I was reliable, I kept getting offers. It did take a week or so of applying for jobs before I heard back, but once I interviewed, things moved quickly. So thankful to these folks for being there during a rough patch.

My initial impression of Hollister was strong: recruiter was professional and quick to respond, and they seemed detail-oriented and asked throughtful questions when I came in for an initial interview and paperwork. After that? Nothing. No potential jobs floated my way, just were still looking!, etc. If there was an issue with presentation or my resume/work history, it definitely wasnt communicated to me. To clarify, this was last fall when I signed up, so there were five months or absolute nothing before COVID effectively shut down usual work practices, and nothing inside of a year. I feel like they just want to collect data on as many people as possible, and the time I spent getting set up with them was an absolute waste.

I worked brielfy with Ned Linehan and cant recommend him more. After conversing on the phone, getting a feel for what I was looking for and what he/ Hollister could provide, we set a time to meet.Upon our first in person interview he already had 3 prospective employers ready to hire,ASAP, with thorough breakdowns of what each job entailed and offered for compensation. All the jobs Ned presented accounted for the location, field of work and pay I had desired and expressed to him in our conversation days prior. Two days removed from our meeting in person he had two interviews lined up for the following week.Ive interviewed with a handful of placing/temp agencies in Boston before and my experience with Hollister and Ned particularly was head and shoulders above the competition. If you want proven results and a company that treats you with the utmost professionalism while conducting your job search, choose Hollister Staffing and ask for Ned too!

It was my first time working with Hollister, and I got a great contract position through them in less than two months. During my visits to the office and communication via e-mail and phone, I was impressed by the professionalism of people here. My agent, Emille, is very knowledgeable and experienced. He is always here to give an advice, to provide a solution, or to just check on how things are going. Definitely will work with them again and would recommend to everyone.

I had an incredible experience with Hollister. I worked with several different staffing agencies while I was searching for a permanent job, and none the others came close. While other agencies talked the talk, Hollister walked the walk. I was consistently amazed with the number and quality of position options Hollister supplied me with, and I ended up being paired with a company that has been absolutely perfect for me. I truly felt as though all the staff members truly cared about me and wanted to help me succeed. I would definitely recommend working with them!

Working with Taylor was awesome. He was very positive and got me a job that I love within a week where I was hired on the spot! I was given only company’s where my skills would actually apply. I know my being hired so quickly isn’t the norm but I’m so grateful to Hollister for getting me a job after I moved to Boston and was in need of one.

The recruiters are Hollister are very attentive and understand the meaning of tailored service. My recruiter talked to me constantly and sent vacancies so I could review them and decide if I wanted to apply or not. There was never pressure to move forward with one position and they always kept an open line of communication to coach me and answer any questions I had at any time.

My experience overall with Hollister Staffing was pretty good. The person I was paired up with found me the exact job I was looking for and was very good about keeping in contact with me. The only thing is that the receptionist was pretty rude but when she left for her break another women came and took spot and she was so sweet.

As a developer, I get several calls and emails from recruiters. However, I was very pleased to work with Hollister Staffing. The team was very dedicated from the initial introduction to the completion of my contract. Emile especially was a standout and I am thankful that he was able to place me in a great situation that helped to take my career to the next level.

They are the worst company ever. They take all your information. Give you this feeling of excitement as if youre about to get all kinds of resources everyday but you really dont get anything. Theyre just collecting your information without following up. Even if you go to them and call and are consistent, nothing happens. They say theyll call, theyll sound apologetic and then tell you how they want the best for you and then nothing. I dont even know why theyre still around. All around trash and a waste of time.

Hollister was initially very good, friendly and helpful. But I found quickly that most jobs they offered me were not as they appeared. I was looking at data entry positions and instead they offered me a variety of sales positions instead. Furthermore despite being offered many positions almost none of them resulted in interviews. When I was finally given an interview they gave me poor tips for preparations for the interview. The phone call I received afterwards I would call insulting as they told me I did not get the job in a snarky and unprofessional manner. They ended the phone call with another job offer that surprise I did not get an interview for. Overall I would say that they wasted time and have a poor understanding of the job market. Do not make the same mistake I made.

I am saddened, disappointed and insulted that I have been with Hollister as long as I have, worked extensively with many recruiters across the board, taken much time out of my day to develop a mutual understanding of not only my vast qualifications and talents in several professions but also my goals as a young female entrepreneur - only to be assigned jobs at $13/hour stuffing envelopes in a musty corner in a room with no windows for 8 hours a day. This is a true disappointment and has discouraged me from continuing with Hollister. I will be taking myself elsewhere, to an agency that can understand my goals and see my potential.

I recently accepted a long-term contract role through Hollister Staffing, and have had an excellent experience with this firm. The recruiter I have been working with, Emile LeVeille, contacted me on LinkedIn while I was still contracting in a different role through Creative Circle in Boston, and his communication was friendly, professional, clear and concise. Even though I had not really started looking for a new role, Emiles timing was impeccable as my previous contract was coming to an end. He asked all the right questions, as well as answered mine thoroughly - and a couple of interviews later, I was offered a new contract role at a highly respectable financial services firm located at the Prudential center in Boston.Ive also had the pleasure of working with Samantha at Hollister, and she was also wonderful and went above and beyond normal working hours to assist all parties involved with the interview process and obtaining an offer.I have always had success working with employment agencies. It is important to remember that the recruiter(s) and account managers are simply there to assist with making introductions, managing relationships and administering paychecks. What every candidate needs to keep at the forefront of their minds is that we are still responsible for selling ourselves during the interview process, and performing well when on the job. I have loved my experience with Hollister Staffing and highly recommend this firm for contractors and employers alike.

Emile Is an asset to Hollister! My experience is similar to a review from Sam a little further down (Sam and I worked together and were placed by Emile.)Id been out of work for a few weeks when a neighbor suggested I contact Hollister and a few other staffing agencies. Hollister is the one that found me a good place to work. I spoke to Emile and he worked his butt off to get me into a great place. Even though it was temporary, I made some great contacts there and managed to get kept on for a second contract, with a few one-off days after the contracts were up. With the contacts I made, I was able to get an interview with a different part of that organization, making more than I was at any previous job and this should be the job that carries me through the rest of my working life. I credit Emile and Hollister for helping me out with this a bit.

I got connected with Hollister through Craigslist in mid-December of 16, and they got me an interview with a department at MIT. I landed the job and started in early January 17 as a Senior Administrative Assistant making 20/hr full-time. Natasha and Andressa at Hollister have been very receptive, supportive, and helpful. Their working style is to propose opportunities, and its up to you to find out as much as you can and then say yes or no. When I turned down opportunities, they were helpful and supportive. When I went for it, they helped get me in the door at a world-class institution and did a great job briefing me for my interviews, as well as supporting me along the way. I recommend Hollister.

After reading their recent reviews, I was so excited to contact Hollister after finishing a freelance gig.  I called in and was directed to a long and odd URL for applying. I tried to engage them but felt pushed to their impersonal online system that corrals even your interview timeslot. I called back again to check the URL and the same person I spoke with earlier did not seem to recognize me.I feel like the first point of contact is indicative of an organization and the relations to follow. I felt rushed and dismissed, like they wanted an impersonal digital version of me to thumbs up or down. I was disappointed by Hollister.

Their receptionist is rude and off-putting. I was really excited after reading the good reviews on here. As I began to ask about the process and speak to a recruiter, she cut me off and told me to ‘just go online and lookup the jobs. Before getting firmly cutoff I had been hoping to talk to a recruiter to tell them about my skills and ask for pointers on what to emphasis for the positions that also felt I was qualified for.I was surprised. First impressions are lasting and this one was enough. I will not be going back to upload my resume. No thank you.

Out nothing to enter as a visitor in the building. Then once upstairs front desk just tell you fill out application without even asking if I have any questions about company. Finally met with recruiter have called back on a few occasions and they guy have not called me back since. No job and they Harris you on a Sunday. Wow

I would give them zero stars if I could. Terrible with follow up, misleading in position descriptions and do not provide clear information up front on the duration of your assignments, claim some are full-time when in fact they are actually part-time. Dont bother. This agency is awful and the positions they have on the website dont really exist. I called to get more info on a direct hire role and they seemed annoyed and directed me to apply online. I got the strong feeling that the role didnt actually exist and the just want my info for the archives.I dont understand how they expect to stay in business with an edge on the phone, and a deceptive plastic website.

Deceiving group of shameless people.Unless you are looking for low-pay temporary positions, I wouldnt recommend anyone to trust Hollister Staffing. They will waste your time, erode your self-confidence and lie to your face. When you first register with Hollister, you are invited for an interview with one of their recruitment specialists. You will notice that their offices look good and professional and are conveniently located in the heart of the City.During this interview, I made myself clear about the type of position I was searching: a full-time permanent or temp-to-hire Communications or Media-related position. I have a solid background in Journalism and Marketing and the consultant told me that there were plenty of opportunities for someone with my credentials, but that I might have to consider working lower profile and lower pay jobs to get my foot in the door. Long story short, Hollister only ever offered me $11 to $15 an hour temp receptionist jobs. Needless to say that when you temp for a company as a receptionist, they seldom consider you for positions that better fit your profile. I dont believe that anyone within the companies I temped for had even read my resume. They most likely relied on my profile description that Hollister compiled and sent them.I ended up taking one of these positions in the meantime and strangely enough I started working for a company that was employing a former Hollister Staffing Associate, Mira M. It turned out that on more than one occasion, Mira M. called her former colleagues at Hollister to report on my failure to perform certain activities within my current assignment. Those activities would run anywhere from not refilling snacks in the kitchen when being told to do so to not being helpful enough with Associates when being asked to make photocopies and such. How unprofessional is that, in a corporate environment, to call your girlfriends to bash someone without giving the other person an opportunity to speak for themselves? These communications were never official reports on my performance, just girls talk, which is rather pathetic and concerning, coming from grown women. Sorority bullying, anyone?Anyway, in the end things turn out great for me professionally speaking, from the moment my assignment and relationship with Hollister Staffing ended. I found a wonderful full-time and permanent media-related job in Boston. Your guess is correct: I found it by myself. Please do not waste your time with these people, they seem decent and nice but they are only in this business for their own profit. They could hardly care less about the candidates that come to them.

I gave this review 5 overall stars because I was satisfied while on assignment, but I will break it down further.Id like to first state that I loved working with Emile (my recruiter) who helped me land a temporary position on Longwood Ave with just the right pay when I needed it most. He checked in often and even took me and a fellow contractor working in the same location out to lunch to catch up and discuss our progress/thoughts. **Emile gets a 10/10 rating for Hollister Staffing** and I sincerely hope his compensation by your firm reflects his casual professionalism and outstanding support to his clients. After my assignment was over (which was planned as it was only a project assignment for a few months) I had informed Emile that I really needed a permanent position. He kept me informed with everything he could until he referred me to his coworker Kevin who called me and talked up an awesome permanent position near south station and told me he would set up a phone screen. The only issue was The manager is so busy its hard to get a hold of him to set up any sort of phone call. After two weeks of radio silence from Kevin he called and told me that The manager at that place is still really busy.. he is still trying..etc). At this point I realized that, at least in my case, Hollister Staffing would only benefit me if I was looking for a temporary position and no longer wanted help from Kevin- because if a company is hiring and actively needs the help they really shouldnt be that hard to set up a simple phone call. After my first assignment and even while in talks with Kevin, I continued to look for a permanent position on my own through Craigslist, LinkedIN, Indeed.. I set up my own interviews and phone screens and landed a permanent position with great benefits at a company that I LOVE being a part of within a short drive from my hometown. I was even able to use the skills I learned at my temporary position that Emile helped me land as leverage for negotiation in salary. That being said- Ive worked with many staffing agencies over the past few years and Ive mainly been using them to bulk up my resume and learn some new skills in the technology field.Emile is a huge asset to your company and I have read through the other reviews that former contract workers have. - You cannot make everyone happy. There is always going to be a few people who get the short end of the stick- but it it all comes down to the effort your put in and your willingness to work hard and not be heartbroken when a company cannot keep you on staff after the contract is up.Keep up the great work... especially you Emile.

Dont trust these guys. Their recruitment managers will say anything to get you on the phone and land you in a crummy position regardless of whether or not the employee/employer is a good fit. They are dishonest, unprofessional and will try to undermine your confidence to convince you to settle for bad contracts, pitching lines like ... nobody is hiring x in permanent positions. Which is just untrue - there are plenty of qualified staffing agencies in Boston - look elsewhere!
