My car broke down on a Friday and was not worth fixing, I spent the next two days browsing inventories and talking with dealers that did not seem to care what I wanted as long as they could try to get me to buy then and there. That all changed when I went to Holmes Honda. I originally went to the Shreveport location and met Michael Price who actually took the time to make sure I could get a deal in my budget with the features I wanted. If you are shopping in Shreveport I highly recommend speaking with him.Unfortunately the available inventory did not quite fit what I was looking for so he became my liaison to the Bossier branch. I was not thrilled to be transferred to a new sales representative at first, but my reservations turned out to be unfounded. I then met with CT McMillan and she continued to raise my expectations for a car salesperson in the area. She helped me find a car that had every feature I wanted at a price I could afford with a better interest rate than my pre-approval had (shout-out to the finance department, specifically Nicole).I never felt rushed or obligated during my experience with them. They always catered to what I wanted and not what they wanted to sell. I can not stress enough how much better it is to work with their sales, finance, and insurance teams than anyone else in the area.Tl;dr: Holmes will get you in a car that you actually want, at a fair price, and wont pull any BS on you.

I had an issue with the moonroof on my 2013 civic si. I pulled right into one of the service bays and was quickly greeted by the assistant service manager. I showed him the problem and we went to check on the availability of the part in question. The man in parts could have been nicer, but he looked up my part. The only issue I have with Honda is the very high cost of any part they sell. The assistant service manager asked if I wanted to schedule a diagnostic test even though my car wasnt throwing any codes. I politely declined and took to the 9th generation civic forums where I quickly found the answer to my problem. Id recommend having a tech come out and take a quick look for an existing customer if available instead of automatically jumping to asking someone to schedule an appointment. That, and lowering parts prices a bit. Theyre marked up way too much. I literally saved myself $292 just by looking online.

My experience getting a scheduled maintenance was not so positive. While I was able to eventually get my repairs done, they took much longer than Id anticipated. I arrived for my appointment at the scheduled time (10:15 AM), and was held back multiple times by either an operation taking longer than expected, or being asked if I want an additional repair done. While I understand this could be seen as helpful, I didnt enjoy being pestered over and over about certain part replacements or repairs that Id already refused, or being given new information about it to change my after. I ended up leaving at 4 PM and lost a lot of my day.

I am extremely frustrated with my own post buying experience and that of my daughter. I bought a Certified Used 2017 Accord Sport SE in June of 2020. When I purchased the car, I was told that when the tag came in that I would be notified, and I could then come pick the tag up. I told my salesman that I lived 70 plus miles away and that I would prefer that he mailed it to me. He told me that he would make a notation and it would be mailed. Almost 7 weeks later (one week before the temp tag expired), I had not heard anything, so I called the dealership to inquire about the tag. The receptionist told me that the tag was in, so I could come and get it. I told the receptionist that I was told that it would be mailed. Four days later, I received it in the mail. If I had not followed up, then when would I have received my tag? In spite of my own previous experience, when my daughter was in the market for a car, I encouraged her to checkout Holmes Honda in Bossier. After purchasing a Certified Used 2020 Honda Civic EX in December of 2020, my daughter’s tag experience was even worse than my own. When she purchased her car, we made it clear to the salesman that we needed her tag mailed, because she would not be traveling 70 plus miles to simply pickup a tag. Once again there was an assurance given that it would be mailed. My daughter began calling two weeks prior to the expiration of her 60-day temp tag. She was told that the tag would be mailed. After she called again last week and felt that she was being given the runaround, she asked me to intervene. On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 9 am, I called the salesman who sold us both of our cars, and I explained the situation. He told me he would “overnight” the tag. Three days later still no tag. I called yesterday (3/19/21) and left a voicemail for the general manager and did not receive a call back. Today, we are approximately 4 weeks beyond the expiration of the temp tag. I really wish I had not recommended this place to my daughter for her car buying experience. This is outrageous.Update (3/21/21): Jason Sims, the GM, communicated with me after business hours on 3/20/21 in an effort to address the aforementioned situation. He took personal responsibility for the situation. As an immediate fix for the problem, he promised to drive 70 miles to my daughter’s home and deliver another temp tag as a stopgap until the permanent tag arrives in the mail. As promised, Jason personally delivered a five-day temp tag. Accordingly, I have upgraded my previous rating; however, I shall withhold my final review rating until after we receive the permanent tag.Final Update (3/22/21): The situation was resolved today with the arrival of the permanent tag and registration. The personal effort made on the part of the GM to address the problem made the difference regarding how we feel about the outcome of this protracted situation. My final review rating is 4 out of 5, which includes both of our initial buying and post buying experiences.

Beyond a five star rating for my salesperson! CT made my car buying experience so easy. She was super professional, personable, and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for a more smooth transaction (not what typically comes to mind when you think of buying a car)! I don’t venture out much so I stuck close to CT while at the dealership, but the other employees I did meet were genuinely nice and the general vibe of the business was friendly and welcoming. I should add that I’m loving my little CRV! In summation: Need a car? Go straight to Holmes Honda in Bossier. Feel free to say “Hello” to anyone you meet but don’t stop until you find CT, then buy a car from her.

I’ve called several times to this Holmes Honda and even left messages and I’ve gotten no call back. All I want is my oil changed. That’s it nothing major. It would be greatly appreciated if someone would actually ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!

Ive had the pleasurer of buying two Honda civics in the last two years from Holmes Honda in Bossier City. My salesman is Nathen Teague, he is one of the nicest and most honest salesman i have done business with. Just recently i had a problem with one of our civics, called him up to check on it, he said let him check on it and get back with me. About ten minutes later he called me back and told me my car should be ready in a couple weeks due to a backordered part.

If I could, please let me walk you through my recent journey and amazing journey at Holmes Honda. I’ve purchased three new vehicles from Holmes Honda the last few years and was very excited for our newest addition, a 2020 Accord Touring. We purchased the car in August 2020 and fell in love with the car, but unfortunately after only 42 days/around 2,500 miles of owning it my wife called me and said the transmission light was on. She was going to limp it the 1.5 miles to Holmes Bossier to have it checked out. I assured her everything would be fine, after all it’s a new Honda.My wife checked in with the service writer, given a loaner car and told she’d have an update when the technician knew the issue. Around 4:00 pm I received a text from the service writer informing me we’d need a new transmission. To say I was floored at the news was an understatement! Who’s heard of a Honda breaking anything with less than 2,500 miles?! When I informed my wife, she was very distraught since I literally just installed the permanent tag just two days prior to this occurring.Nevertheless, I expressed to her I would go to the dealer and speak with someone and let them know the situation and see if we could get help.After arriving at the Bossier location, I introduced myself to the service writer and asked if I could speak with a manager on our new car. She called the manager and he came down to the desk and introduced himself as Mr. Jason Sims. I requested if he and I could go speak in a private office so he led me to his and invited me in and to have a seat. During the discussion I was able to with explain to Mr. Sims and I informed him of the situation, how long we’ve had the car, and how Kim and I were totally distraught at the unheard of situation.I explained that I’m retired military and not trying to get over on anyone, just trying to be an honest person providing my wife with a reliable car because I still travel away from the family. Mr. Sims attentively listened and wholeheartedly empathized with me then asked, “Sir, what would you like to do”? I indicated that I no longer feel comfortable with a totally rebuilt car and what is required to swap a transmission out; I fear the car will never be the same and that’s not why I bought a new Honda. Without hesitation Mr. Sims said “Let me see what I can do for you, I understand you no longer want the current car, but you still love your Accord”. Mr. Sims assured me he was there to help and he would “Make it right”. I left the dealer that evening relieved and went home to tell my wife what transpired and tried to set her at ease, Mr. Sims would come through and take care of us.Mr. Sims didn’t fail to deliver on his word, Holmes took our old Accord back and seamlessly swapped it out with a brand new one with the payment and great interest rate transferred over as well. Last evening we took delivery of our replacement Accord Touring and couldn’t be happier. I wanted to ensure I took the time to thank first and foremost Bossier Holmes General Manager, Mr. Jason Sims and our salesman Mr. Jason Dickens. In a world full of unrest, uncertainty and plain disregard for others I found the contrary at Holmes Honda. Thankfully I was able to sit down, calmly discuss and truly connect with a consummate professional in Mr. Sims. You just don’t come across managers such as Mr. Sims very often where he’s the face of a company looking out for me, the “little guy”.
