Micah was very professional, honest, and easy to work with. He repaired a pipe that reduced the leak but there is possibly another tiny one that he said is likely with the sprinkler system. We chose to tell him we will call a sprinkler company and there was zero pushback. They came out Same day as I initially called (though initial appointment was next morning, he was able to come same day). I highly recommend this company.

I had a water leak under the foundation which was not repairable. The crew ran alternate water supply overhead to circumvent the damaged line. In and out in about four hours. My elderly mother had a tiolet repaired last week. Plumber broke the on/off valve and charged her $300 to fix his mistake and the tiolet. Tiolet was hissing and was not functioning properly all night after repair. She called next day and they came back. The man tried to sell her a $1200 water pressure regulator for the house. She declined and then they charged her $90 for a second call out. She was pressured into paying the service charge for coming back out and he still did not fix anything. Called a real plumber and he had her turn down the water valve behind tiolet and it works perfect.She went and pulled out a receipt from 2 years prior, same tiolet repair/valve replacement and service was a little over $100. Exact same service this time was almost $300. Please do your research before considering this company for any repairs.

I liked their use of scheduling and showing up at the scheduled time. Also truly appreciated the use of technology for communication through the process. Beat the heck out of taking off work half a day and being given a 4 hour window.

The guys installed a new aerobic septic system and we are completely happy with it so far. The installers, Phillip, Blake and Josh were awesome. Blake worked magic with his skid steer and excavator and they all were very polite, respectful and informative. Phillip was great at problem solving on the spot as issues arose.The only issue was that the office/scheduling communication could have been better. We received a quote from this company in February, then got rescheduled 4 times, eventually landing us a spot at the end of July.The 3rd time they rescheduled, in May, they didnt even bother to let us know. They just never showed up, never gave us a phone call, nothing. I called them the next day and rescheduled yet again, and they put us a full month later, today, the end of June. After I called to confirm the appointment for June, they let me know that Im not on the schedule at all and tell me they can get me in at the end of July.Absolutely ludicrous. We paid them $200 in February for a quote and got strung along for half of the year.Avoid this company.

We recently moved into a house that had a small leaky hot water heater in the kitchen. We wanted a new hot water heater installed in the garage and we called at least 10 to 12 other plumbers in the Paris and Bonham area. Most said they were too busy to do this job, some never answered the phone or called back, and others said it would be months before they could get to us. I then called Dusty Underwood who came out pretty quickly to give us an estimate and they got us on the schedule in just a few weeks. The technician, Cole Decker, was fantastic to work with! He was friendly, professional, and knew what he was doing. In no time, he had the brand new tank set up in the garage with tons of hot water! We chose Dusty Underwood after many years of service with another company that was just mediocre. We have an aerobic septic system, that was installed when our house was built. We were never told anything about the system by the builder or the installer. Then we blindly chose a company to do the maintenance, because the county told us to do so. We only received a pink ticket quarterly, and 90% of the time they didn’t check 2 of the 4 sprayer heads we have. We knew there had to be a better solution out there somewhere. We received a mailer from Dusty Underwood & decided it couldn’t be worse that what we already had. So, we called & we couldn’t be happier!!!Dusty Underwood had their technician come out & and we found out we were in need of the tank being pumped. We had no idea we were even close & mind you the other company had been coming here for 6 years. They NEVER tested the sludge!Since having our tank pumped Dusty Underwoods technicians have been back out. We received a 9 page report with pictures included on everything that was checked. It has a detailed list of every part of the system, and how it was working.If you are looking for good people with great work ethic and business practices, my husband and I strongly recommend Dusty Underwood. If we have any plumbing issues in the future, they will definitely be the first people that we call.

The service tech was respectful but the service call was not handled well. The company was called out for a non-heating tankless heater and was given the brand and model ahead of time. The tech told me off the bat the company doesn’t really do much work with tankless heaters and suggested a new tank heater immediately after just looking at my heater without any diagnostic checking. I asked him if he could at least check the heating elements with his voltmeter, and he found one bad heating element. The heating element costs $40. I understand the apprehension to work on the tankless heater, but the tech was called out to to diagnose on a tankless heater- maybe the company should have turned down the work. Felt like it was just a sales push to sell a tank water heater.

So confused by all of the good reviews. I spent over $4k for a destroyed front yard and driveway :(Edit: I changed my review to 5 stars because they made the situation right, and that’s what matters :) thank you!

This company is a rip off. They charged us 600$ to replace a float. They also threw the pvc pipe into our lift tank to cause more problems so we would have to call them out again and have to have another repair. Very unprofessional and shady business.

Micah came out on July 10 for a water leak. Very courteous, punctual and professional. I can not thank this company enough! Our hot water heater went out and flooded our closet. Empty septic tank

I did not need any large plumbing work. It was to install a new shower head and stop a leaking faucet. However, they were professional. Quickly finished up the work and did not leave any mess to clean up. Would recommend them to others who have at least basic plumbing needs. If we have a future project that requires more work, we will call them up again.

After emailing them after hours on a Sunday, Easter Sunday at that, they were willing to send someone out to fix my minor leak. I told them it could wait until Monday and they sent someone out the very next day. They fixed the issue at a reasonable price and it took them no time at all. The Plumber was nice, explained the problem and gave me multiple options on how he could fix the issue.

Had an emergency leak on a Saturday after heavy rains. Called a few plumbers and they were the only ones able to get to us right away. Have had the pleasure of using Dusty Underwood an his septic maintenance since moving into our home in December 2012. We moved into a home that had a malfunctioning to non-functioning septic system. Dusty and Rusty both were very diligent in inspecting the entire system and cleaning and replacing parts. They didnt even mind me standing over them and asking 101 questions. On another occasion our alarm was going off after a lightening strike. Dusty fixed it immediately, being a blown fuse; however, while there he still opened the lid to our system and inspected everything to be sure there were not any other problems. I appreciated the attention to detail very much. We have not had any other problems with our septic system since. We also used Dusty Underwood to empty our tank when it came time. Wade and Dillion came to do that job and both were quick and professional. They recovered the area that had to be dug up and left everything in tip top shape. I would use Dusty Underwood Plumbing/Septic again in the future if I had the need.

Hired Underwood for a septic inspection that had previously been done by another company. His report did not make sense and made false comments about the condition of the system. Underwood inspected our system and showed it to be working properly and needed NO repairs. They also sell systems but were honest about the condition. Will definitely refer this company!

Had a real estate inspection. We have no experience with septic systems. The technician was very informative and explained all parts of the system. He also told us what to look for in the future. Three of the four access ports were below ground. He removed brush and dug to get access to the three below ground ports in order to do a complete inspection. Very impressed with thoroughness, knowledge, and willingness to explain the system.Dusty Underwood Plumbing kept us informed of unexpected changes to our appointment. We did not have to wait for them for hours since they let us know a day in advance of the change in appointment time. Greatly appreciated. The technician was on time.

I called 9-10-2019 Ask to speak with a plumber, Lady refused said speaking with a plumbing isnt allowed. Being told if I wanted to set appointment it would be with her or not at all. I tried explaining to her my situation was a little more complex than just an appointment. I again ask politely to have a plumber call me, even stated we have a mutual friend and were in need a plumber for life. I ask the female to please take my name and my number and she refused, I gave her my name and number anyway ) She even stated the Plumbers dont ever meet the people who hire them? again that made me laugh! How does a plumber work at a persons home and never meet them ? Hilarious right? This indeed made me laugh. So she had another female speak with me and told me to just hire another plumber. So we did. I really didnt want to waste my time writing a review but our mutual Friend insisted that I did and said the actual Owner would be upset if he knew the Hired Help was running off customers. We use Underwood for our septic maintenance so we thought we would give them a shot at replacing a water heater that went out and was under warranty. I was only going to use a professional and not do the replacement myself because of the warranty involved. Their trip charge was high but would have been waived if we had let them do the work. The real issue was the amount they wanted to charged for a warranty verification and the install (not including any cost for a new water heater). For the amount of just their service cost, I could buy 2 new water heaters and install them myself for about the same amount. And because their cost was not divulged during the appointment setup, we still had to pay the outrageous trip charge just so the guy could show up for 5 minutes, tell me what I already knew about the heater and that they were gonna charge the heck out of me to replace it.Will continue to use for septic maintenance, but will never get them to do any plumbing work.

The first time I used Dusty I was having septic problems and he personally came out and spent quite some time to help me trouble shoot the issue. It didn’t have to be fixed right away and he didn’t charge me for the visit. A couple years later, I finally got around to fixing it and I used Dusty. I was pleased with the work they did. I most recently had them do the rough in plumbing for the slab and install a septic for a new house I am building. Everything has gone great, without any issues. They have always been very professional and helpful, and have done excellent work.

Called these guys and got ripped off charged $1100.00 didnt solve my issue. This company will not back their work I called them back within 6 days of the service call they were rude and informed me that if they had to come back out if would be an additional charge on top of the $1100 they charges the prevoius weekend . They didnt know what they were doing so i call another plumber to handle the issue. It is pretty sad for a company to take advantage of people on a fixed income given the current situation on the world right now. My advise to anyone needing plumbing or septic service is to stay as far away from Dusty Underwood as possible.

They are our go-to plumbers, they have installed the gas line on our fireplace, helped to install the heater unit with our AC system, and repaired broken faucets. Beware! This company doesnt take responsiblity for their actions. We had our house built recently and selected this company through U Build It program in McKinney. They are no longer affiliated with U Build It after this episode. First, when they ran the water leak test after they installed the plumbing under the foundation there were 2 leaks found. One was the shower pan leak and the other was from a nail gun of which my framer ended up paying for. Dusty, owner, told us we had to pay extra to fix both the leaks of which we didnt cause. My builder disagreed and emails were exchanged. Another issue we had was the fire sprinkler hose. They installed / attached the hose on the exterior of the home and Fire Rescom inspected it, and said it wasnt code nor installed properly as it was suppose to be installed on the interior wall. They wanted to charge us extra to fix it when they installed it incorrectly. Thirdly, our water hose to the house was the wrong size. Please note they had the blueprints! They charged us for their mistake. They wouldnt correct it until we paid for it ( over 300 feet of hose). Lastly, they installed the wrong exterior hot/cold faucet and one of them was stripped. Afte all of this we fired them, and hired someone else who knew what they were doing and didnt charge extra for things we were not at fault for.

We have a Rinnai tankless water heater that had performed fine until we had it descaled in October 2019. When the hot water was turned on at any faucet in the house, it would only stay hot for about 2-3 minutes and then turn ice cold! After several attempts to resolve the issue, the plumber that had performed the cleaning called Rinnai and was given Dusty Underwood plumbing as a warranty company. Within a few days, they sent Andrew & Micah to troubleshoot the issue. They resolved the problem and we had hot water again, continually within an hour. I would highly recommend this company if you have a Rinnai tankless water heater or plumbing issue.
