I pay my bill on time since I started service about a year ago.In the beginning I was told the wrong pickup day for the first couple weeks in the neighborhood, However, The last homeowners left trash so I called to schedule a pickup- had to call a couple times as nobody seems to respond to calls/vms.Just in the last two months (the main disappointment):I was traveling for three weeks so nothing was put out to be picked up. However, upon my return, my trash had not been collected for two consecutive weeks. I had to call (the gal who works Saturdays is super nice), they picked up the Monday after. Now that was a couple weeks ago.It’s Saturday and no trash was picked up again.I have never encountered such an unprofessional service in this aspect.There is no communication.

They took almost 2 months to get us a service and charged us when we werent using it yet. And one of the workers called the cops to check on my toddler because they thought he was alone without adults just because there was no car and they seen him in the window. Adults were home! Nobody has called me back on this issue.

We have been with garretson over 20 years but service is slacking and when we called to let them know about trash has not been picked up on time the lady in the office stated it was because it wasnt set out by 5 a.m. but we have always put it out on Monday evening the lady was very rude it is not the Buster and his Wife treated their customers......

They have missed my house two weeks in a row. Then tonight the guy got out of his truck, looked at my trash cans with his hands on his hips then got in his truck and left. I paid 2 months in advance. Lousy service

Your guy Zach Payne deserves a raise. That man is always reliable and has a great attitude. If you need a successor or someone to pass the business down to - he’s your man. You need to franchise that man!

Kristy has been bending over backwards to get us a new trash bin when ours was destroyed. She is very responsive and professional. She even let me contact her after hours. So grateful for such a great trash service in such a rural location!!

Never had a complaint for this company. Dependable, reliable. Would highly recommend. They have picked up my trash for many years.

Have been a customer for roughly 14 or so years with not ONE single complaint. They have been the best service we have ever had ! ( And the guy complaining about the little bit of green waste that the driver wisely left because of landfill rules is obviously just a crybaby if they couldn’t pick that tiny bit of stuff up ! You will be better off without this guy for a customer!!!)

I have lived in Bolivar for over 10 years now and I have to say Garretson trash service has gotten worse and worse and worse. Im on here writing a review because its 5 minutes until 8 p.m. on a Wednesday which is pick-up day. They are just now getting around to it I would call and complain but they closed at an undisclosed time. I would go in person and complain, but myself as well as my cousin-in-law and as well as two of my other friends have went in person to complain about their service only to be confronted with 2 or 3 disgusting greasy angry underpaid trash picker uppers. Theres a woman behind the counter and perhaps a man at any given point any given time, the business is ran out of an old house. If you go in to complain they enjoy that, because its at that time where they show their true colors like any old hillbilly wood, hit a button on their little radio or pick up the phone and call in for backup unlike a normal business these people like confrontation I guess they all have a chip on their shoulder because they are all so giddy as soon as a couple of them good ole trash boys walk in. Instead of confronting the problem head on and working out a solution to their terrible service, throwing your trash around, leaving it on the street, leaving it on the ground, leaving your dumpster turned over sideways, not coming to pick up trash until after dinner time. No no no its fight time for them, they go get a couple of dirty greasy trash guys out of the back and they come out with their chests all huffed and puffed up ready to fight mean faces on, angry as hell. Ive had it, you wont get another dollar from this family Im switching over to Republic trash service tomorrow morning like the other three neighbors I have on my street we are fed up with your terrible service. You guys are literally a trash service and you provide a trash service for the last 11 years I have watched you guys leave trash all over our city streets all over any given neighborhood and not pick up trash until its well past pick up time. People, all day long pulling in and out of their own homes to run their daily errands while the trash just sits there random neighbors dogs chewing holes in your bags hell were going to have to start putting our trash out after dinner. You are some of the most unpunctual people I have ever seen run a business. If thats what you want to call it, it wont be a business for long, actions speak louder than words and you guys are complete buffoons. Id come and say it to your face but I cant win a fight 3 to 1 bullies...seya.

Man Im really sad to see do many bad reviews on here but Ive had nothing but good experiences so.... Im going with what I know. They have been my service for 2 years, Ive had absolutely no unsolvable issues. Only time they didnt pick up was because of really bad weather and Id rather they not in those conditions anyway! I have had them pick up extra several times, a few I did not call about, and the rates are really low and my trash man is super awesome. The other day my son put the trash by the curb, I had 2 cans and a bunch of bags/furniture scattered around. I did put it in the ditch bc the rain, was so bad. We went outside to help him gather everything and he asked if we were just out to help him (I had already apologized) I said yes its s mess! He told us yo ho inside out of the rain. Super sweet, and as for billing Ive never had an issue:) love you guys! Byw, they only charge what they are charged at the dump to pick up large items!

Got hired here. Killed myself doing between 50 and 70 hours in their 4 day work week. I need 1 day off to handle a legal obligation and they fired me. NONE OF THEIR TRUCKS ARE SAFE TO BE ON THE ROAD!! Between failing tires over worked and un appreciated drivers these trucks pose a danger to the community.

Wished I could give them a NO star! Ive been a customer for 2 years and in that 2 years Ive never been late on my payment. I get a postcard in the mail and says my service has been suspended due to non payment. I looked at my bank statement and payment to Garretson trash had been taken out of my account. I called Garretson trash on Monday and was told I had to fax proof that I made my payment they were not showing payment on my account. I faxed it immediately and called the office twice to find out what was going on and where did my payment go. I was told they received my fax and they would get back with me that day. Never heard back from anyone so I called back on Tuesday and was told someone would get back with me again I said I need to know what is going on with my account and no one ever contacted me and my trash is scheduled for pick up tomorrow. Needless to say I will be looking for another trash service! As of this review I still have not heard back from anyone!
