Best Crossfit Gym in Cincinnati, tried a few others - programming is outstanding, coaching is phenomenal.
I started my CrossFit journey at Blue Ash and it was the best decision I could have made. Blake and the coaches do a great job with on-boarding new students to make sure they learn the correct lifting techniques to be successful long term. While doing drop ins at other gyms (I travel a lot for work), I still get compliments on my form that I learned at Blue Ash 6 years ago. I always appreciated how the coaches did a great job of making sure everyone was warmed up and pushed us so we could hit our goals and bust through PR’s.If you’re a new or experienced Crossfiter, and want to gain strength, have excellent programming, and make new friends this will be a great home for you.
CrossFit Blue Ash is a great facility with an amazingly supportive community and a knowledgable staff.I started here in 2014 with a 3-month trial and have never left. What began with a search to improve my fitness has become so much more. I found community, I am continually learning, and I am getting stronger every day.I love what CrossFit teaches: to work on your weaknesses, movements can be scaled to any degree, functional movement is safe, intensity begets results, nutrition is the foundation.I am 40 years old and am more physically fit than I have ever been in my life. I wish I found this in my 20s.CrossFit Blue Ash has changed my life in so many ways, and for that I will always be thankful.
This has been an awesome experience. Although we all may be at different skill levels, the coaches and athletes work together as one. I have been part of the CFBA family for 9 months and have seen my strength and endurance reach levels that I thought I could not achieve. I attended a Saturday morning class to begin with to try things out and enjoyed the team environment. I then attended on-ramp class to learn many of the movements and skills at a pace that worked for me. The life changes CFBA has provided in strength training and nutrition has inspired me to be a better me for my family and friends

I have been CrossFitting for over 11 years and joined CrossFit Blue Ash after moving to Cincinnati several months ago. Over the years I’ve been to many gyms all over the country and I’ve learned the most important thing when choosing a gym is the community. Community is something that isn’t tangible but once you are a part of it you know exactly what it is and feel at home. The community at CrossFit Blue Ash is amazing and welcoming and makes you part of the family regardless of abilities or prior experience. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a home away from home with the added benefit of improving your fitness at the same time.
I have been working with Blake Evans now since the beginning of February. I considered myself to be in pretty good shape, but I had some issues with certain movements. When I first started I had serious mobility issues with my knees and shoulders. I also had some back problems. I had never done a squat or a deadline because of these issues. These were issues I got from the military. I thought I could never do a squat, let alone a dead lift. Blake took baby steps with me, and showed me how to move, and move without having pain. If there was an issue we stopped and made adjustments right away. I only worked with him for about 1 ½ hours on Sunday afternoon. He gave me plenty of mobility exercises to do, and to perform certain movements to strengthen certain muscles during the week. I did those exercises daily and overtime I got better. I can now do squats without pain and have the best mobility I have ever had. My original goal was to be able to squat 300lbs overall. As time went on, and I got stronger I decided to make a new goal and squat 300lbs by the end of July. I did a one rep max yesterday of 325. This just goes to show that if you put in the work, you will get it back. I could not have done this without Blake’s guidance, training, and instruction. I would recommend him to people that want to be more mobile, people just starting out, or people that feel that they are in great shape. I can now say that I am on my way to truly being in overall great shape. I continue to push forward for my next goal of 350-375 by the end of the summer. This place changed my life. I was not athletic when I started, now Im there 5 days a week. The staff of coaches is top notch with their ability to coach, push and support you. The community here is the most caring and loving group of people I have ever met. And the programming guarantees change in your cardio, strength and mobility. The results in my body over 1 year are impressive but the real gains you get by joining are not even the reason you come in the door. I was surprised to gain friends, knowledge, stability and a whole new lifestyle.
As a mother of three, I was intimated by the idea of starting CrossFit. I quickly realized how comfy and encouraging CFBA is. Awesome workouts. Awesome coaches. Awesome community. Thanks for everything CFBA!!!

I was a client of Blakes from July 2013 to July 2017. I relocated to Columbus in the summer of 2017, but still seek Blakes advice on programming.When I started with Blake I could not rest in an Asian squat, much less back squat to full depth. Overhead squatting wasnt even accessible.Over the course of three years, only meeting once per week, I was able to build my back squat to 350lb (+100lb) and deadlift 405 (+100lb). Overhead squat 225lb (+135lb) with a snatch of 205lb (+140lb) and C&J of 235lb (+110lb).
Been a member for 2 plus years. As a business traveler, I have dropped in to several other CrossFit gyms and CFBA consistently beats others in functional space, cleanliness and the community. Couple all that with great coaching and programming and it can’t be beat.
CFBA has such a fantastic community of people. Blake and all of the coaches have helped me so much with my mobility and form. Not only have I gotten stronger, but daily aches and pains from old injuries have all but disappeared with their coaching. Absolutely recommend!!

Great community, hard workouts and very knowledgeable staff. Training here has definitely supplemented my career in kickboxing and Muay Thai. Would recommend to anyone from a beginner level to experienced athlete.
Dropped into the gym while in town for work and the staff was very welcoming! Programming is thoughtfully put together, many skill levels at the gym to keep it competitive, equipment in tip top shape. Overall great experience from a drop in perspective.
I dropped in on thanksgiving break from Atlanta. Extremely nice group of people. Blake is a good dude and teamed up with me to do a partner wod. I always try to take away something from every gym I drop in to and Blake gave me some pointers on stringing multiple hang power cleans together. Thanks man. Ill see you next time Im in town.

With a background in competitive athletics including 4 years of D1 college swimming, I never expected some of the best and most individualized coaching to come from Crossfit in my mid 20s. Blake Evans is one of the most passionate coaches I have ever encountered. His never ending drive to improve both his own knowledge about the sport and his personal agenda to improve each and every athlete is unmatched. I would recommend Blue Ash Strength & Conditioning to anyone: individuals, families, beginners, advanced, and those passing through looking for a drop in Crossfit box. I can almost guarantee you wont find any place better.

Ive been coming to CrossFit Blue Ash for two years, and the facility, coaching, and community is second to none. I had a lingering knee injury for years and was nervous crossfit would further aggravate it. Once I began I was carefully coached specific to that weakness. Not only has the injury subsided in my time at CFBA, but I am able to move better than I ever have before and am stronger than I ever thought I could be.Head coach Blake has a clear talent and passion for what he does and as a member of the gym, you absolutely feel that in the atmosphere and reap the benefits as an athlete. CFBA is a place youll be pushed physically and mentally, where you will learn something new every day, and be surrounded by people who want to work hard and have fun.
