We were very pleased with the job that Mike and his team did for us. Mike explained everything up front there were no surprises we knew exactly what to expect and they delivered. We were able to rid our crawlspace of the critters while still not harming them or our cats outside. They then ensured we didnt have the issue again by securing the entry points (vents) but still allowing them to be functional. Definitely recommend them!!

Really wish I could give 0 stars. We’ve been having problems with bats at our house here in Bloomington. It is an older home, so it doesn’t surprise me that there are spots for these bats to sneak into the house and wreak unintended terror on us unsuspecting inhabitants. We gave Critter Control Bloomington a call after finding a bat on two separate occasions and having to let them out ourselves. The guy who came over to our place seemed disinterested from the get-go, as if coming out to our place was the largest inconvenience for him. I let him check around the house, upstairs, and in the attic for potential spots that the bats could be entering the house from. After maybe 15-20 minutes of searching, the guy told us that there are no signs of bats and no entry points for them. With this, we figured that we no longer need to live in fear of these wicked little creatures and continued on our merry ways.Well, things got wayyyy less merry when we came home late from dinner one night and found a bat roosting in the corner of our living room. One of my roommates would also later find a bat laying on the window trim in his bedroom. After both of these occurrences, we tried covering up every little crevice in the house that we could find to disallow access for the bats into interior of our home. We also began questioning the legitimacy of the Critter Control employee. I did not feel that his search of our house was adequate, obviously evidenced by the fact that multiple bats have appeared in our home since. It was a rushed inspection of our home, and believe me when I say your company will be held accountable if anything happens to us while we are removing a bat from the house, something that is YOUR job and that YOU still failed to do.I typically wouldn’t be giving out such a harsh review, but when a bat appeared for the THIRD time in our house yesterday since your employee’s inspection, that’s when I decided that this needed to be shared.I would NOT recommend Critter Control Bloomington to anyone that has a pest problem in their home unless you are content with lazy and inadequate service. We also really appreciated the exorbitant fee that was put on us for the 15-minute inspection that your employee gave us because doesn’t everyone love paying for absolutely nothing?? This company will no longer get any of mine, my friend’s, or my family’s business, and I will make sure to tell whomever will listen to stay as far away from you guys as possible.EDIT: In response to the owner’s comment under my review: You are correct... because the inspection wasn’t paid for by me but by my parents (who go by a different surname than mine) and owners of the home. There is nothing to discuss further unless you want to acknowledge your irresponsible practices, and you will not be receiving our business again. Thanks!EDIT #2: Just wanted to add that two more bats have appeared in our home since this review, including one that is currently hiding out in our basement as we speak. We had another company come out and address our situation, with them telling us that there are loads of entry points and bat feces in our attic. Looks like the Critter Control “specialist” was wrong all along, what a shocker! I would heavily urge anyone reading this to take their business elsewhere.

I called Critter Control after I found a brown bat on the first step leading down to my lower level. I have lived in this house for 17 years and had never seen a bat before so needless to say, I was surprised and wanted it out of the house ASAP! I talked with the receptionist at Critter Control and told her the situation. She said that she would make a call and see if “the guys” could come that day and would give me a call back. She called a little while later and said that they would be able to come over after they finished up their current job. I was so glad to know that this bat would be out of my house soon. I asked her how much it cost. She said, “the cost is $129.00 to come out and he will try to get the bat out.” Ok, great. The bat was right there on the step so there wouldn’t be any searching or struggle. That was a lot of money, but I really wanted that bat out of my house and so I agreed. About 45 minutes later a guy with the company arrived. He came in and I showed him the bat on the carpeted stairs leading to the lower level. He starts putting on these huge heavy gloves and asked me “if they had disgusted pricing with me?” I said that the receptionist had told me $129.00. He told me that that was just to come out and that it would be another $250.00 to get the bat!!!!!! I could not believe it! I thought he was joking but he wasn’t. If I wanted them (by this time a second guy had arrived) to take the bat out of my house it would be another $250.00. He said they will look all around in my attic, roof, and basement to make sure there aren’t other bats. I told him I just want the bat out and he said, “It doesn’t matter, it will still be an additional $250.00. This was not brought up on the phone when I called, never! They should have been up front with me but they weren’t! The understanding I had from my conversation with the receptionist was it would be $129.00. Instead, I ended up writing them a check for $379.00. It was ridiculous how they played this. I still feel like I was totally scammed. I have shared this with many friends and neighbors. They, like me, find it hard to believe that this is a fair business practice. When I called the Critter Control Office, they knew that I had a bat that I wanted out of my house. Why else would I have called??????? Beware!!

We have had such a fantastic experience with these folks, and Colin in particular. They are extremely professional, friendly, and respectful. In this era of COVID risk, they were very attentive and thorough with their public health precautions, including wearing mask and gloves at all times and keeping physical distance. They kept returning as many times as was needed--any extremely promptly whenever we called--until our raccoon problem was solved. We also had them do a thorough post-raccoon cleanup of our space, including removal of insulation and disinfecting the area. Well be calling them in the case of any future critter issues.

These guys are legit heroes. I cannot express how thankful we are to them. Our raccoons may be the talk of their business for years to come.I had no idea that raccoons would ever wander into a nice neighborhood and make their way into your attic. We started hearing some kind of animal in our ceiling/walls and called a trapper to come take a look. That trapper determined the noise we heard was a raccoon, after peeking into the attic and seeing a latrine spot. (I have learned so much about raccoons in the past months) We hired this person to trap the raccoon, but after weeks of only catching a few neighborhood cats, we politely said goodbye to this trapper and called Critter Control.Critter Control showed up and began to set their traps up in hopes to catch the raccoon. They seemed genuinely surprised that their usual methods of trapping weren’t working. After the usual traps didn’t catch anything, they set out another type of trap, and then another. Weeks went by, but still no raccoon. Critter Control assured us they would get the raccoon and not give up on us.Because of where the raccoon was, (nestled down into a big column on the front of our home) it was virtually impossible to get to it.We tracked down the blue prints for the house and critter control reviewed them, deciding the best way to get to the raccoon. It was raccoon removal day. After weeks and weeks of trying to trap it, we all agreed that we had to go in and get it. Critter Controls superstars: Roy, Colin, And Mike, arrived ready and determined. They ended up cutting into the wall of my office that adjoined to the column, and there they were! Not one, but TWO raccoons had made this hollow column their home. The Critter Control team pulled them out and took them away. (I’m still cheering, it was the best feeling to get them out)Critter Control immediately began shifting all focus to fixing the destruction left behind. They shared their plan and began remediation. True to every word they said, they put all efforts into getting the job done as thoroughly and as quickly as they could. The staff was absolutely wonderful to work with. Their work was amazing. They cleaned up every mess they made and finished as quickly as possible.Thank you Critter Control and all of your staff that took part in capturing our raccoons. We literally could not have done it without you.

We were quite pleased with the service. Called at 5 pm on a Friday, as the office was closing for the weekend. Service was performed Monday morning. Thorough inspection of exterior and interior of 2 attic crawls, repair of entry point in a timely fashion by a polite employee who explained his findings and recommendation to our understanding.

I called Critter Control about a bat on my deck. The driver called prior to his arrival. Just a few minutes after that I received a call from their office indicating there would be a $150 fee. I was caught between a rock and a hard place. I just wanted to get rid of the bat. The serviceman arrived, spent no more than 10 minutes, and left. I haven’t heard from them since and they still have my $150.

Michael and Colin were professional, careful, knowledgeable, licensed, thorough, and responsive. I really appreciated their help in eliminating a squirrel infestation between my cathedral ceilings and my roof. They sealed the entry points and gave the olympic grade squirrels one way out via traps attached to my soffits. They really knew what they were doing and they were a pleasure to work with. Roy and Gene in the office are great too: they were very responsive. Thank you.

We had an infestation of flying squirrels in a dormer. It took a while to get them all, but in the end they trapped 18. Collin was very helpful in finding their entry point and covered it up with wire and brillo pad material. He was very helpful and knew how to address the problem and stuck with it until we got them all. Very satisfied and will call again if we ever have another problem.
