The work they completed was done well, however, when they lost my keys in the mail, they completely stopped responding to me. Unprofessional to say the least. Id be concerned about how they would handle a larger problem if their normal course of business is to ignore customers when issues are raised.
This is the 4th time weve done business with Performers Flooring (twice for hardwood, twice for carpeting). The work on our latest hardwood floor was well done. The workers were excellent- when they werent sure about a transition they called in someone to double check their work. The prices are fair and the staff were professional. We would use their service again.
From walking into the showroom to the completion of my carpet installation, everything was simply excellent. If it exists, they have it! The showroom is spectacular and the sales team are amazingly patient and helpful.Wait times for installation are slightly longer due to Covid and the subsequent shipping delays from manufacturers, but communication from Performer’s was prompt and appreciated!Installation day was a dream come true. Installer’s were so professional and took every precaution. The job was done perfectly and I actually think they left my home cleaner than it was when they arrived! My experience was outstanding, my carpet is simply stunning and I highly recommend Performer’s!
Great place, needed a job done quickly and they came through!
Great service! Excellent flooring and carpeting selection! The 2 installers were here 4 days and did a phenomenal job! They took care of our home and were kind to me, my daughter, my husband, and our dog!As many of us experience, customer service and simple common courtesy are out the window these days (pre-covid, so no excuse!) Not here at Performers! John was genuinely nice and a big help! Tina was good. Even Tim in the showroom to help us look at final selections while John was out of the office.I was and still am very impressed with Performers! We will have future flooring projects to come and Performers will be the first ones we contact! Thanks so much!!
I had my kitchen and utility room tile replaced. They used some type of underlayment that rolled out. They said it was the best if the best. Within a year, the grout started to crack. Within a couple of years, tile were cracking! I couldnt find the sales receipt for the life of me. Then when I finally did find it, the 5 year warranty was almost up! I called, and they sent a person out to look at the tile. The person said that they could re-do the grout. But that wasnt the problem! The problem was that ALL the grout was coming out in chunks and many tiles had cracked! The man knocked around on the floor and said that it seemed like the remaining tiles were secure. Not so, as another has cracked. This guy was supposed to contact the company that made the underlayment and get back to me. He never did. Since then, I have had other tile experts examine my tile. They said that the company used the wrong type of grout for that type of underlayment, and thats why the grout was cracking and the tile was moving! Very upset with this company...especially since they never did follow through. Dont make the same mistake I made. S. Sayers Batavia IL.
Floor only lasted a year not water resistant edges curl cant mop floor will have to refloor
Wonderful showroom, awesome expert help. Oh...lots of high-end selections!!!
I cant speak high enough of the treatment I received at Performers. They sold us the carpet, carpet tiles and vinyl tile for our church a few years back. We were more than satisfied with both the sales, price, quality of materials and installation. Yes, the cost was more than Home Depot, but youre getting a much better product, yet it was still at a good price. You get what you pay for. When I was putting new flooring in my home I contacted Performers. Our salesperson helped us decide on the solid wood flooring and vinyl tile. They sold me the materials and I did the install myself. Our salesperson explained everything I needed to level our floor (which was a massive task) and install the wood floor and tile. It came out looking beautiful. I would go back to Performers in a heartbeat for anything!!!!
What a great experience! Jerry hresil was so helpful. Love this company
Very professional work & staffing! Highly recommend.
Excellent selection
Our family worked with Performers Flooring for hardwood, carpet, and tile throughout our new home. We worked directly with the owner, John P, who is a great guy with a keen eye for design and meticulous attention to detail. The finished product looks absolutely amazing and the customer service is exemplary. You will not go wrong with Performers Flooring!
ExcellentService and choicesExcellent professional workmanship
Tim Nenoff was wonderful to work with! Performers did a lot of work all throughout our house and everything looks beautiful.
We built a new home and the builder, DJK, contracted our hardwood floors, tile and carpet through Performers. I met with John several times to plan and design our home. He was more than patient and helpful. The crews sent out to the house were professional and did excellent work. We are extremely happy with the hardwood floors. Stan, the floor guy, custom mixed six different stains until we found the perfect one to coordinate with the cabinets. I would highly recommend Performers Flooring to friends.
Horrible customer service!!! Ed (sales person) ordered what he liked not what I specifically asked for and was unaware until the 1st time the installers came out. It took months to get the flooring installed the first time, after calling the scheduler for everyday for 3 weeks (twice a day) I was able to get the installers to come out. Then I had to constantly call the highest manager for help getting the correct items, which took a few more weeks to get the scheduler to have the installers come back out. Whole process took 6 MONTHS!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$$!
We recently had a home built and our builder referred us to Performer’s Flooring for our tile, carpet, and hardwood floors. We met with John directly and he was able to meet us at a time that was convenient for us.The showroom was amazing and had some really unique styles not seen elsewhere. The displays made it easy to envision what the tile would look like when installed. John knew the selections that were included in our builder package and had them ready for us to look at when we arrived. He spent time listening to our ideas for upgrades and was able to help us find what we were looking for within our budget. We were quite pleased to leave there with some nice upgrades and finishing touches that really have given our home the look we were hoping for.John met with us during our preliminary walk thru in sub-zero weather making sure everything we selected would go according to plan. The installation was perfect. Our tile and carpet have no flaws and our hardwood is beautiful and durable. We have now moved on to the backsplash for our kitchen and have never entertained the thought of going elsewhere. John came out to take measurements and even took photos of our kitchen. When we returned to the showroom he had suggestions for the perfect tile and knew exactly what would complement our kitchen. We have no reservations about recommending Performer’s Flooring to anyone. We had a fantastic experience with them and found John true to his word in every interaction. The products, professional installation, and John’s suggestions have helped to make our home truly exceptional.
Went into the store and scheduled for measurements for carpet and for someone to take a look to see if my wood flooring was going to be able to be refinished. They never showed up. I talked to (Jim Flynn) him and I went through samples and I picked out a few I liked. He promised he would come by today and take a look but never showed after waiting all day. Very Disappointed.
This flooring company has been in business for 40 plus years for a reason. Check out their beautifully remodeled showroom and their extensive selection of in stock ready to install ceramic tiles and other various hard surfaces.
This place is a scam! If you are looking for flooring, DO NOT use these guys unless you would like to pay triple the price you would pay anywhere else. The scheduler is very unorganized and you will be lucky if they can pencil you in within 6 months, and thats just for the delivery of materials, expect another month to get someone out to install your floor. Overall, I would never use Performers again...the way we were treated as customers after we paid for services, and the actual work that was done that had to be repaired twice right after it was put in because the installer rushed and didnt do a good job, has resulted in us never recommending this company to anyone and making sure no one makes the same mistake we did...
Horrible customer services. The sale rep didn’t let me breath, he was over my shoulder the hole time. Only way I was able to get him off my back was to ask for the price of the carpet I was looking at.And wow was it overly priced.
Originally gave a 5 star rating, but had to change it to 3 because every time we have called in the past several days it has led to absolutely no calls in return. May begin looking elsewhere for a company that wants the money and will do the job.
We had some damage to our floor based on a leaking pipe in our condo. We live in a garden unit so the water drained through the walls and in under the floor destroying a hefty chunk of it.We had 4 different companies come out and assess the damage and all 4 told us the same thing: old floor, floating floor, will have to replace the entire thing.Performers had a specific benefit in that since our insurance was paying they were directly connected to the State Farm insurance system and were able to skip the whole reimbursement step. They simply directly billed State Farm & even contracted a moving company to move us in and out (including our piano which is a pain in the ass). Again everything was direct billed and we didnt have to deal with the hassle.I worked with Roland in the sales department. He was knowledgeable, flexible & able to answer a ton of questions we had about the process as well as which wood we could/should use. He also provided about 100 samples to us per our request because we were changing the entire color scheme.I worked with Tina in scheduling, she made scheduling very easy and the crew was in contact by phone in advance of showing up and on finishing. Most important than anything though, our new floors look spectacular and there was no damage to anything else in the house during the work. The only recommendations Id have for anyone in a similar situation:-If State Farm refers you to Performers directly call Performers yourself to speed the process. The referral process can take a few days otherwise and just slows things down.-If youre out of your house for work to be sure you check in with the crew after 1 day of work. Our floor was finished in 2.5 days after an estimated 4 days. You might get home even sooner depending on progress!
I first met John, the owner, at a home show in Arlington Heights. We talked a lot about different flooring but what struck me most about him was that he didn’t try to “sell” me. I took his business card and not too long after that I ended up in his store working with him on tiling our bathroom. It was going to be a big job as it was being completely gutted. It took me a long time to decide what I wanted and he was very patient with me as I looked at different tile. I actually liked his design ideas way better than my own so I pretty much left most of it up to him because I thought all tile was 12 x 12. I couldn’t have dreamt up a better look if I tried. That was back in March of 2009. My bathroom looks just as good today in 2015, as the day it was finished. The quality and workmanship that went into my bathroom made me go back for more.In February of 2011, we went back to them for our living room and foyer, another big job. This was harder for me to decide than our bathroom. John sent me home with several different samples to see what they look like in my own lighting and I did this several times until I finally found what I was looking for. And then the design…again, John to the rescue. I had no idea how many ways you can lay tile and after looking at several options that I liked, we came to a decision. They finished up the job in 2 days with a couple of finishing touches right afterwards. Here we are 4 years later, and the floor looks just as good as the day it was finished.I will never have anyone else do tile or flooring for me but Performers. In comparison to buying my own tile and hiring someone to install it, the price was not much different than having these guys handle the whole thing for me and no hassle of handling all the materials…I got more than what I paid for. And I plan on going back for another job…Thank you John and your crew for 2 jobs very well done! Still happy after all this time!!!
Excellent service. Fair pricing.
Great company. Just purchased additional wood flooring my home. Looking forward to the installation.
Initislly I had a great experience choosing the flooring for my home. Tim Nenoff was extremely professional, honest, all around a terrific experience. After contracting their services I was referred to their scheduler, Tina Gagliani, to strange gor the installation. And that’s where everything came apart. She was completely non-responsive, forcing me to repeatedly attempting to contact her. When I finally did I was not treated professionally, she sounded testy and uninterested in expediting the installation, which only happened three months later. Despite Tim’s professionalism I would not recommend this place until they get their act together finding better professionals to interact with their customers.
Timely, carefully, and very good craftsmanship.
8/1/18 ~5:30pm Southbound on Roselle as it crosses over 90; Driver of either truck 46 or 48 drifted out of his lane 3 times in the short span between medeval times and Hillcrest with phone in hand. Disregard for public safety is a zero in my book
Weve been working with Performers Flooring & Design Gallery for the past 20 years. Their service and quality craftsmanship has been outstanding! We would strongly recommend using their services.
Do not use this company! They are overpriced and the quality of their work is terrible. You are paying for the store front and salesman! The installers did their best but they were just not skilled enough. The salesman demanded full payment before the job was done, even threatened to pull the job, but it’s in their contract to pay when the job is done and you are satisfied. Maybe he knew the quality of work to come. They installed prefinished Mohawk hardwood and replaced the stairs with raw oak treads. I found later that Home Depot has the same flooring for almost half the price. But my main issue is with the craftsmanship of the stairs. There are large gaps where the tread and risers meet the stringer. Also, smaller gaps where the tread meets the riser. They didn’t make any attempt to level the treads during install which is visibly obvious. They covered the risers with oak veneer to cut corners on replacing them. I agreed without seeing it first and you can tell it’s veneer which looks like crap. The prefinished flooring and stained wood on the stairs don’t match. However the salesman never told me they couldn’t match a factory finish during our conversation. The job supervisor told me AFTER the flooring was laid and stairs were torn apart. I would not have selected prefinished if I had been informed. My neighbor had his stairs done for $1000 less and they are flawless. His price also included new stringers and spindles as well as sanding and staining the balusters and railings. This company would not do any of that and we had to pull the spindles out ourselves before the install then replace them after. It’s probably a good thing they didn’t touch that part anyway. There is more but I’m already writing a novel. I hope this review can save at least one person from being left with garbage like this.
My wife and I wanted to get a quote from Performers for an under tile radiant floor heat system that they were demonstrating at the home show. I called and made an appointment to go over the details. We arrived at the store on time only to find out that the store was already closed. Mr. Nenoff saw us standing outside and invited us to come in since they had made an error in scheduling our appointment. Our meeting with him seemed to go well and he said that he would follow up with a quote. I never recieved a quote even after calling him several times over the course of 2 months. I even went to the store and was told to write my name and all contact information on paper and set it on his desk since he was out of the office at the time. I hope he is o.k. but have a feeling our small project wasnt worth his time to quote. I ended up purchasing my heat mats from an online vendor.
Called 4 times in 2 weeks got nothing but I can take your name and number and have them call you Finally get a call ask for someone to come and take a look ok we will schedule that nothing for 3 more weeks. Guess if you dont go in you done matter.
I highly recomend Performers to all who are considering them for your project needs. The staff and the materials are absolutely amazing.I am a former flooring installer that worked for them in the past and now I am a full blown remodeling contractor in the area.I use performers for all of my flooring needs. They take care of my customers and me with the utmost proffesionalism!Performers for the quality and price is unbeatable. From the tiniest of details. It is very hard to please some people.Expectations are sometimes way beyond normal.John Psyhos and Tim Nenoff are 2 of the most reliable and proffesional men I have ever had the privelage of working with. There design capabilities and organisational skills are nothing less than astounding. The newly remodeled showroom is breathtaking.I have been in the construction and remodeling business my entire life.I am the third generation that has been running my families company Bns Construction. There are very fiew companies I consider to be as equal to my own.John Thank you for all of your loyalty and for taking care of me and my customers for the last four years. As always I look forward to our future projects together.Btw that tile I bought from you last week! The one on the showroom floor is flawless thanks for recomendation.
Terrible. Stay away from this company. Cash my check and are not calling me back. I am afraid I made a terrible mistake with this company. I want to cancel the job. I am going to try to get my money back. STAY Away. They have a beautiful showroom probably that is it.
Stay away from this company. They overpromise and under deliver. The qualtity of their products and work is poor. It takes a lot of repair tries to get things not good but acceptable. I bought a house from a builder ROBH2011, LLC Mr. Kevin Taylor and I followed the recommendation of this builder. Soon I found at that was a terrible mistake:- hardwood staining dont show up as promised and agreed- tile work was poor executred and need several repairs to be at least standard- hardwood is starting to seperate- little or no responsivenessThe combination of this company and the builder is not a pleasant experience. Dont pay them in full, best select another company.
Outstanding sevice, beyond my expectations
