We hosted our daughters Sweet 16 here & were extremely pleased with the experience from beginning to end. The staff is professional and attentive and made her experience magical. The Brookside Bsnquets exceeded our expectations. During a time when most other venues are understaffed, non-responsive & also overcharging for sub-par service, we experienced the opposite at The Brookside Banquets. The owner had travel plans that overlapped with our event but remained in touch to ensure we had all we needed. The food was exceptional and delicious, the venue gorgeous and staff helpful and courteous. Pricing was competitive and I would highly recommend this venue.

We just had our prom here and our students had the best night ever! The food, the staff and the venue were all perfect. The students loved the atmosphere and could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was. We highly recommend The Brookside Banquets! we spent many days collecting information from several surrounding venues to create a spreadsheet and finally going to each of the finalist and checking them out personally. As soon as we walked into this venue we already had a feeling this would be the winner. This was then confirmed when we started talking with Arthur and his team. It easily shows when a person loves what they do. We started working with Arthur a few days later once we confirmed we wanted to get married at his venue. From the food selection to every last detail we could think of Arthur was awesome to work with and suggested better ideas. The whole experience felt really intimate and actually felt as if we were working with our friend Arthur instead of just somebody we were hiring for a service!All of our guests raved about how delicious all the food tasted and how amazing the venue was. I recently had my babyshower at Brookside Banquets. They were so lovely to work with, especially with Covid and rules changing constantly. They were very helpful and happy to accommodate. The space is beautiful especially when it is all done up with the linens and decor. The food was very good especially the cake. I would definitely have another event here!

I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am to Arthur and his team at the Brookside Banquets! Ever since I was a little girl I dreamt of my wedding day. You can imagine how heartbroken I felt that the day of my dreams was ruined, because of Covid - 19. Arthur and his team worked so well in keeping us safe. NO ONE! I mean NO ONE... came back positive. We told him my mother is my number one priority, he and his team did their best to keep her safe. The food was amazing! The decor and and service was just superb! We highly recommend! I wish I could give this venue more than 5 stars. We had our wedding here this past Saturday 4/10/2021 and had the most amazing and perfect day! We originally had planned a fall 2020 wedding but due to covid had to postpone and change venues. I found The Brookside Banquets, and immediately emailed Arthur to see if they could accommodate our smaller wedding. He did that and so much more, no questions asked! Arthur and Lorraine were there every step of the way to make our day amazing. From the food, to the beautiful venue, to their warm Hospitality and answering any question I had, they truly made our day so amazing. I could never thank them enough for accommodating us. The venue speaks for itself, as it truly is so beautiful. Our guests were commenting all night on how perfect our space was, from the grand ballroom to the decor and ceremony space. They loved every aspect of our more intimate wedding, and I truly cannot thank Arthur, Lorraine, and Silvette (our bridal suite attendant) enough. You all are absolute angels. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! My sister recently had her Sweet 16 here on April 1, 2021. Lorraine and Arthur made the burden of party planning so much easier. They were always a phone call away and offered all the help they could throughout the whole process. You couldnt ask for nicer people to work with. My family constantly received compliments from guests about the beautiful venue and the amazing food here. Make sure your party has the penne vodka, chicken francese, sausage and peppers, seafood paella, and galamad-- it all was a big hit! The day of the party, all we were able to relax and enjoy the experience. The venue was beautifully lit and decorated. The staff went out of their way for anything we needed and were on top of everything. There was never a line or wait at the bar either. Everything was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend the Brookside enough!

Arthur is absolutely wonderful. The venue is absolutely beautiful. He took care of everything and anything I asked for. He even delivered my daughters sweet 16th cake to our house (we live in Bloomfield too).Planning our twins party in November and my 50th next year. They have a customer for life.

This place is absolutely beautiful the menu they offer is exquisite the service its like the dream place to have a wedding and reception the only problem is once you sit down and go over the money that made me want to cry it was too expensive your looking at like $25,000+ to start to have a reception here and another $ 2,000 for your ceremony

Im appuled the lady was late and act like I wasnt supposed to be there. When I had a appointment she was rude to us didnt tell her name and asked twice. Then trying to push me to have a large crowd 150 or more. And the price no she didnt give a brochures or wedding packages. Nothing and amuse that I couldnt not pay we thinking about covid and safety

My husband retired from the NJ police department so I decided to hold his surprise retirement lunch at the Brookside Banquet. Since we moved out of town and relocated to Florida I contacted the owner Arthur and was able to take care of all of the details over the phone.All of the guests raved about how they enjoyed they really enjoyed the food and service and how beautiful the venue is. I had a small issue the day of the even but the owner Arthur was fair and was able to rectify the situation. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding or any occasion.

The 2019 New Years Eve Party at Brookside was simply AWESOME! The food was excellent and so plentiful. The rooms are elegant, classy and the price was reasonable. The staff was so attentive, that you never need to ask for anything. They really know hospitality and know what it takes to make you feel like a special guest. I have already recommended Brookside to several friends as its a great wedding reception venue!

My husband and I recently got married at The Brookside Banquets on November 29, 2019. Back in January we stepped foot into this venue and instantly fell in love. It’s modern, clean and the venue literally sparkles. Not only did we fall in love with the venue, but we created such an incredible bond with the owners and staff. We want to thank Christine, Lorraine, Arthur and the Brookside staff from the bottom of our hearts for making our day magical and memorable. We are so sad that this day came and went because we are going to truly miss working with the Brookside family. That is exactly how they treated us, like family from start to finish. Where do I begin... what an amazing night! After attending several weddings at various venues, we knew we could not book any other venue other than The Brookside. The venue itself is beautiful. The staff is beyond accommodating, a huge thank you to Christina and Arthur!! They went above and beyond to made sure every detail was perfect, making sure my husband, myself and all our guest were satisfied throughout the night. Our friends were in awe of everything, and are still talking about it! The food was amazing, the venue was gorgeous and the service was stellar! I can’t say enough to thank The Brookside for making our night one of the best nights of our lives!! I highly reccomend The Brookside to anyone!! It truly was an exceptional experience!!!!

It is a very nice hall. Very pretty and modern. Although you can see the building clearly there is no signage whatsoever. They have a main banquet room upstairs which is beautiful. They also have a smaller space downstairs in the basement. It is pretty but def feels confined. Prices are a little too high for the downstairs room.

I had my wedding at Brookside Banquets two weeks ago and it was amazing. The venue is beautiful so you do not need many decorations, the place speaks for itself. The staff was very helpful and even coordinated the day, if there was anything I needed they were there with the assist. The food was delicious and I loved the fact that gave such a wide variety. I would recommend them to anyone.

I attended a sweet 16 at the Brookside and it was fantastic! The venue is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing especially when the lighting goes on. The food is delicious (my favorite was the chicken marsala). The waitstaff is great as well. They do a good job of keeping up with refills on drinks and even make sure that the tables are looking good as the party progresses. Overall, I would recommend this venue!

The upstairs party room is absolutely gorgeous! Looks like the perfect place for any loving event (birthdays, weddings, etc). The downstairs party room seems like a basement party. Not elegant at all, great cocktail room for a party upstairs but not a space for your own party.Floors depend on # of guests to book. Pretty high per plate price for the location.They look to add an outdoor conservatory in the near future.

I had a 45th/50th birthday party here at the Brookside for my sister and brother. Our party was in the lower level banquet hall. We were only expecting about 100 guests but ended up having about 127 guests. From our initial visit and meeting, we feel in love with this venue. This Brookside is absolutely breathtaking. The elegance of the hall will leave you in an awe. Although we initially wanted the upper level because of its open floor plan, it was already booked. But we were not disappointed at all with the smaller hall. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made the room very spacious and comfortable to accommodate our guests. They were very helpful and attentive to any questions and concerns that we had and they made certain to honor all of our requests. I would lastly like to compliment the Brookside on the food. Oh my God.....is all that I can say because the food was impeccable. The display was gorgeous and how the set the buffet up in the middle of the floor allowed the buffet line to move very quickly allowing us more party time. We were honored with an ice cream sundae bar to end the night. I must say the staff gave us a night to remember. I was overly pleased with everything. Thanks a million.

We came here for a sweet 16 birthday party on 9/22/18. The staff were not very friendly., one waitress dropped a glass in which shattered to pieces all over the floor. They(staff) kept bumping into everyone. Not a single smile on either of them. The food was horrible. The desserts were stale. The cake was way too sweet. On the upside.. the popcorn was good and the DJ was AWESOME! I WILL NEVER RETURN BACK!

I was there for a wedding. The speakers went working during the reception so the walk down the aisle was quiet. It started working after the I do. Great. The set up was nice and the food waa okay. Its a very nice venue. I wont let this slight technical issue take away from that but it was someones special day.

Love this place. It was renovated, beautiful rooms. Lorraine is wonderful and helpful. We go almost every year to have our graduation gala. Great service.

We had a great experience at The Brookside Banquets for our wedding in November 2017. The cocktail hour, dinner, Viennese and drinks was phenomenal. Arthur went beyond our expectations with the food. The place is very contemporary something we really wanted. If you’re looking for big chandeliers, fountains and all that traditional wedding stuff this is not the place to go to. This is a very clean, sleek and contemporary venue. A venue more for the contemporary modern family. As we all know every wedding day doesn’t go as perfect as we plan. I accidentally put my violinist in the wrong place in the venue and they were totally unnoticeable my fault not theirs. As for the Staff of The Brookside was amazing, the maitre’d was phenomenal, the manager Lorraine great lady, helped me a lot with my wedding planning, the only miscommunication problem we had she had an event the same day as my wedding which is totally understandable, but they should’ve have warned me about it prior to the event, so I could’ve hired a Day coordinator to help me out with the dayoff planning. Besides this little missed communication everything was extremely great. Would definitely recommend for other people and future event loved it all. Aline & Jonathan

Let me start off by saying this is one of the most unprofessional establishments in New Jersey, if not in the Tri State Area. If this is one of your options for a wedding or special day...STAY AWAY!! They should rename themselves to Bait & Switch. No one needs to fall in love with this place only to be disappointed when they demand thousands of dollars more. If you’re okay with not having peace of mind, by all means continue your relationship with these folks. If you want honesty and good business, look elsewhere!

Yesterday, my brother-in-law and I hosted my sisters 40th birthday celebration at The Brookside. Unfortunately, the original sound equipment we rented wasnt working so we called on a friend who loan us his. Of course, this delayed me in getting to the venue with the centerpieces and other aesthetics for the evening. Nevertheless, The Brookside team was phenomenal in helping me get everything in place. They even gave us additional equipment upon request like a microphone and projector screen. The entire team is beyond amazing. And the food is delish!! Kudos to Lorraine 👌👏 On behalf of Al and my sis, thanks a mil for everything.

I had the pleasure of being a bridesmaid in my friends Sasha wedding this past saturday and i must say the service here is phenomenal! from the venue to the servers. very professional. i had the pleasure of meeting Michelle a bartender that night and she was very nice and easy going. she was very helpful and fun to be around. the food was great from the filet mignon to the stuffed chicken breast and salmon. everyone enjoyed themselves and had a memorable night. Thanks to everyone there for all the hardwork.

I must say I was there tonight for a Sweet 16. The place has changed drastically, from my 1st time attending an event there a few years ago and I didnt not like anything about it. But now it is beautiful, staff was great. My only disappointment was the food. I think it could had been warmer. Other than that keep up the good job. Please dont take my comment of the food as a critic. I just believe sharing an experience good or bad helps to improve a place. Thanks .

I came here for a New Years Eve party and it was absolutely amazing!! The building itself is very sleek and clean and the inside was stunning. The ballroom had these beautiful tile floors and a modern look to it, definitely a place for the perfect picture opportunities! The staff was attentive and very friendly, and they made sure everything was going well. The food was out. of. this. world!!! The penne vodka is to die for and the filet mignon was super soft. This place gives an overall, great vibe and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants great food, beautiful pictures, and workers with a good attitude!!

I recently had the pleasure of attending The Brookside for a wedding on 3/10/19 and have nothing but good things to say. To begin, the food was PHENOMINAL, especially during the cocktail hour. It was plentiful and delicious. It was then followed by a three course dinner (I ordered the filet mignon which was divine) Secondly, the weightstaff seemed very well trained and constantly checked on us for anything we needed. They were extremely polite as well. Finally, this venue speaks for itself in terms of beauty. I would give this venue 20 stars if I could.

Just held my wedding here on may 18 . And i wouldve loved to give the brookside a 5 star review. The staff was nice.. lisa our maitre D was very sweet and the server in charge of our head sweat heart table was also very sweet (wish i could remember her name). How ever i do have some negative feedback as our guests knew that there would be some croudites served as they arrived and said they werent offered or instructed to serve themselves. The staff did not take care of the lights for me as i made my entrance nor did they ask about the lighting. Wish they wouldve been more attentive to detail . The food was very delicious and the whole venue itself was impecable and i loved it.

I love this place. My 8th grade classmates and I rented their ballroom for our Social and it was rather delightful, pleaing, and fun! Althugh, I must say that the service people lack the abililty to move quick enough. It took them almost half an our to refill our drinks and an hour to cook more food.
