Chris is absolutely a no nonsense.. honest....detailed...friendly person...he explains in laymans terms....very calm and makes one feel welcomed....highly recommend

Lucas at the office in Blacksburg, VA was a great help. He got my auto insurance premium lower than I was paying at my previous insurance provider. I had been with that company for twenty years and they never treated me as nicely as Lucas has. If the customer service from my experience signing up is any indication Im going to love State Farm!

I have been with State Farm for 50 years and with the Turman agency for about 30 years. The office is very professional, respectful, easy to work with. Chris is pleasant and takes time to discuss the topic at hand. He is honest and doesnt try to steer me in a direction that is not in my best interest.

I highly recommend this State Farm office (Chris Turman). Chris really goes above and beyond with his policy holders. I had to switch State Farm agents after 13+ years due to an out-of-state move. I have only been working with Chris for a few months now but the level of service and personalization is something that I did not realize I had been missing previously – so much so that I decided to write a review. Rates were also much lower than expected, which could be due to state variances; however, I never felt like I was being upsold or buying anything I did not need.

State Farm has been a fantastic insurance provider for my family over the years. Whether auto, rental, umbrella or home, the company has always taken care of me and my family. An example is when our rental dwelling recently burnt down (tenants were safe) - Id never had anything like that happen and Chris AND State Farm were both amazing. Chris helped us all the way through the process, and State Farm provided exceptional service, getting appraisals, etc., and a check in my hand before most insurance companies would have probably even gotten off the dime. When it comes to Chris, I cant recommend him enough. When I call his office there is a person who answers the phone immediately. Chris is always available to help and advise. I cannot give Chris and his group a higher recommendation.

We have a few different policies with Chris; life, car, rental...he has walked us through each one carefully and we always feel like we know exactly what we are getting. Would only give one star if I havent spoken with Elise. The other girl has been a little bit rude and impatient. A lot of my friends from China dont speak very well English and I have been helping them get auto insurance. I am more than willing to recommend State Farm to my friends if Elise is the one who handles the cases.

I am not asking for a GOOD service, but just some respect, which I cannot find any. I ended up with another agient but still from State farm. Chris Turman has been my insurance agent for over 10 years and one of the first things I asked him when I was going to move from Blacksburg was will you continue to be my agent if I leave Blacksburg and over 4 moves later, hes still my agent!! Any questions or concerns I have he answers in a timely fashion and he looks out for his customers first above all else. He is the epitome of Like a good neighbor... As long as I dont leave VA - Chris will always be my agent!!
