Highly recommend this place. Had a little accident on the way back to Maryland and everyone here was friendly and professional. They got us in and back on the road in less than an hour. Really great people here.
I do not like that I am so familiar with this store but my wifes Acadia has been temperamental of late. The good news is Justin and the chaps at Firestone are great to work with. Highly recommend.
They want to test things Ive changed within the last two months and charge me. I cant do it. Money hungry business
Great place had a slight ordering issue with my tires but they worked it out. The whole team even stayed over to make sure they got my car done . Cant recommend enough.
I am completely disappointed with my experience here. I caught a piece of metal in my tire on my way to work so i had to leave work to get my tire replaced, $151 was paid for one tire 215 50R17. A few days later my Tire Pressure Sensor goes off and I add air and recalibrate my tires, just for it to go off again. I called them they told me “our calibration system is down and we did not reset your sensors” which seems like a minor fix of course, but it’s not. Now, if my tire pressure is low, I won’t have any idea because my sensor has not been reset and therefore it is not functioning properly. I now have to leave work, again, find another location and have them correct mistakes that were not disclosed at the time of my visit. Very disappointing. Let’s not halfass any other jobs, if you can not do it right in it’s entirety then you should not be doing it.
Left caps off under hood after oiil change on 1 trip. Froze bank account 10 days and refused to help resolve hold after payed by another method on another trip. Payed for unlimited tire rotation and balance with new tirea but they seem to be trying to find ways to loose my business.
Not exactly good but sometimes good
Quick friendly service. Was able to purchase tire online and schedule my appointment with ease over the weekend. Was in and out within an hour. Will definitely be back
Great customer service, and a job well done!!!
Love their service
They fixed an issue I was having with my car lock confirmation. They replaced my battery, which was still under warranty, so I got a good price on the replacement. And they only recommended work that I know needed to be done. This is a great shop and I highly recommend them!!!
Thank you! Thank you! We were on the road between South Carolina and Arkansas. We had a tire that wouldn’t hold air! After stopping for a repair in Augusta, we continued to lose air pressure and had to stop every hour to put air in my tire. It was Saturday night, we called this shop, they said someone would be available first thing on Sunday morning to check our tire. They found a tiny leak the two other Firestone garages had missed. We were good to go!
Honest, helpful, checked out the car and did not try up sell me things I did not need. Great to work with.
Barry was great very Courteous and fast I will definitely recommend your Firestone to all my friends thanks again Barry!!
I’ve used this location multiple times. Great service and fair prices. Highly recommend.
Place is a disaster. The last 4 times I have taken my car here I have had to take it back the next day because they messed something up. I was contacted by the General Manager AND Area Manager after my surveys. NEITHER of them provided ANY compensation for my wasted time and money. Highly recommend not going here.
Didnt have mine and another persons tire at ALL..We were both on FLATS.!!
I have been coming here for about 3 years now. Everyone on staff has always been very helpful especially Karen who helped me today. There services offers warranties and they will be more then happy to help you if you have to come back for a warranty check up/repair. Thanks guys!
Did a oil change at the 280 location last month and they forgt to put back the engine oil cap..i didnt even notice till lastnight when i see some oily fluid coming out the bumper so i open upbthe hood and realize i the oil cap is missing. I took it in this morning and all they did is put a cap on. I was told it was scrub and clean but i dont think they did any of that..i still gt oil under the hood, the hoses and the covers.. really not recommend going there again.
Have been waiting for 3 hours just for an oil change!! Would not recommend this location to anyone I know
I like that they don’t make commission here so they don’t try to sell you unnecessary stuff but I went in the other day for an oil change and they took an hour...I was the first customer there at 8 AM, there were like 5 employees there and I didn’t get out until 9. The front desk person was very unapologetic and had an attitude about it when it was brought to his attention. Probably won’t be back.
Best customer service I have had in a long time. My car needed a battery replacement on a Sunday afternoon while I will traveling for Oklahoma to Georgia. They replaced it and the cost was less than any nearby auto parts store. Big shoutout to Ms. Tracy and her crew. Roll Tide.
Everyone was great! Exceeded my expectations!Place was orderly and clean with a nice TV. Associates were very nice and did a repair on my car much faster than was told by two other places. Many Thanks!
The service here was outstanding! The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I was informed of what services were recommended once my vehicle inspection was complete and was also informed of services that could be needed in the future but were not necessary for this visit. In addition to an inspection and oil change I also had 4 new tires put on my truck and had an alignment completed. A few other customers came in for oil changes only and were in and out in no time at all. I will definitely return with my vehicle for future services!
This will be my home location!! The manager was very professional & handled a error that another location made with my car. He was very fair, nice, & professional!! The workers seemed like they were glad to be employed!! Time, sped of service, cleanliness, professionalism, was all 5 stars!! Thanks Firestone on Hwy 280!! Yall Rock!!
Con Artists! I normally avoid chain stores like Firestone because I know they try to scam people, but it was my last option to get my car examined. I was helped by a woman I think was named Sabrina, and she fed me the biggest scam Ive heard with my car, I dont think she realized I knew more about cars than she probably did. She told me the tires were done and needed to be replaced NOW, the air filters needed replaced NOW, the battery was dead and needs replaced NOW, and the radiator needed to be flushed - and theyd conveniently do all of this for me at a hefty premium. I was silently laughing at myself because two of my tires had 20K miles left on them (yes the other two need replacing soon), my air filters were replaced 8 months ago, my battery was brand new (I took it to auto zone AND advanced auto parts and they showed me the readings and the charge was fantastic, they laughed at Firestone for trying to pull one over on me), my radiator was also flushed within the last year. I finally called her out on the battery and she looked me right in the eye and had the immoral audacity to say the battery was still worthless. These are common things places like Firestone try to trick people into having repaired, because most people dont have the knowledge to know any better. It was funny because they didnt even identify the things that were wrong with my car that I knew about. They checked off that both headlights were working great, even though I knew and verified that one of the front headlights was dead... did they really even look my car over or just pretend to then hand me an appraisal for all the broken items I needed to have them fix now? If you do not know much about cars, do not trust Firestone, they will sense your naivete and pull a fast one on you. Always get a second opinion from a more reputable garage shop (I prefer privately owned places that rely on their honesty for business). This just reaffirms the longstanding distrust Ive had for places like Firestone, avoid them if you care about your money and your vehicles longevity. This visit was a total scam and employees like the one I dealt with do not belong in a customer service position.
They were all right, personality and the work as well.... However its one of the smallest firestones Ive ever seen.. I had to wait two hours.
My a/c stopped working in Mississippi, on my way back from New Orleans to NYC. I was staying over in Birmingham and went over to Firestone first thing in the morning. They were very kind and helpful. They drove me back to my hotel and picked me up, when my truck was finished (earlier than expected). The a/c is working beautifully. I would recommend this particular location of Firestone, to anyone and everyone.
Agree with others who posted negative reviews; these people try to sell you services your car doesnt not need. I took it to get looked at for a wheel noise, and they didnt bother taking out on the road, just raised it up and visually looked at it. Go somewhere else and trust your own instinct.
I have been here twice for a tire repair and on one occasion the mechanic messed up my studs and lug nuts not once but twice, however the manager in charge - Sabrina took care of everything professionally. I was reimbursed on the cost of my lug nuts and studs and treated really well with respect. If you are reading this Sabrina, you did one hell of a job, we need more managers like you around.I would definitely go back if need anything else as the customer service and professionalism is something this branch can be proud of. God bless.
Paid $30 + just to have a tire mounted on a spare rim ! Thats Price gouging. And ridiculous then said it would be more to put it on a car !! This is the worst place ever! I have never paid more than 15 for that service anywhere else ! Save yourself and go anywhere else!
Friendly environment.
Quality of staff will blow your mind. Ive been a few times ever since they quoted me 600 bucks under express oil change rate for a particular fix. This most recent time I was there for 3 hours-I like to pay attention to people as Psychology is my major. Every single person that came in(very busy day) treated the staff and other waiting customers like long time best friends. That, I believe starts with their first experience and how this particular store takes you in as family, wants the best for you, and the atmosphere is contagious. It takes a special kind of mechanic shop professional to turn EVERY stressed/worried car owner that steps foot in the door into thankful, optimistic family. To reassure the readers and hopefully future customers of firestone 280, I want y all to know I dont gain anything from this review, and honestly I dont know if it will even be on the website lol. Have a blessed day!
Great service. I have gone several times for oil changes and tire replacement and they have had my vehicle ready promptly and their work has always been fantastic. My go to shop for routine car maintenance.
Two stars because they were nice. They sell tires and are probably good at it, but saying they do much mechanical work is misleading. I took my truck there, based on a call where they said they could deal with my two issues. After keeping the vehicle all day, they called to tell me they couldnt fix either issue. Im not talking rebuilding a motor. Were talking a power window off the track and leaking hose. Tires, probably fine. Mechanical work, take vehicle to a mechanic. I wont go back. As I said, the staff was very nice, but no help on my issues.
The manager is awesome she matched all my prices and was so sweet it made my stomach hurt
Had a great experience getting a front end alignment. Very help staff who got the job done.
This my go-to place for an oil change and tires. They have found other problems that could only be fixed by the dealership and let me know about them. They are always friendly and helpful. It is NOT a 10 minute oil change place though! I usually always bring a book to read, or work to do if I am stay and wait for the work to be completed.I am adding an edit to the review. The previous review was in June 2017. When I took my van for an oil change today I asked for them to check the tire pressure.....they didnt. They also didnt reset my oil change alert on my dashboard. They went from 4 to 3 stars on my review.
Sabrina, Ryan and Marqies were AMAZING! We rolled into town with a seriously misaligned van and the team at Firestone took great care of us. They were honest, kind and quick.
Appointment scheduling is a fake program. Dont rely on that scheduling service. I scheduled my appointment one day before for 11.30 next day, they told the the service will be done by 12.30. I said great and I will plan accordingly.went there next day at 11.30, now they say they will try to do it by 12.45 and when i come back at 12.30 they even havent started yet. They waisted 2 hours of my time(including going there and back) and still I have to take my car back without service as they wanted more time. Problem is not that they took time, the problem is that how they communicated and mentioned the timelines and did not followed the timelines. What point of scheduling an appointment when it does not have any meaning and you still wait in the queue and on top of that you miss-communicate the customer about timings. Dont you think that they have plan accordingly what you communicate.
Wouldnt even say hi to me. Too busy answering the phones to take the time to greet a in store customer.
They are a great store shop with very good tires and wonderful service!thanks Firestone
Changed my oil competently, but tried to upsell me on some other frivolous repairs that would have cost over $100.How do I know they were frivolous? I had my car at its dealership just last week for a safety recall, and when they did a similar complementary check they found nothing of the sort wrong. Nearly every single number on Firestones check-up sheet was low-balled by up to 20% from the dealership check-up, and theres no way I got that much wear and tear in a single week.Bottom line: know what you want when you walk in, and dont let them sell you anything else. If you dont know cars well enough to know a con when you see one, take yours somewhere more honest.
Service is always great!
I had a flat tire on a Sunday, so everything else nearby was closed. We pulled up riding on a donut, and they were pretty busy. Since I had a dinner to attend, we couldnt afford to wait. However, the guy was extremely polite and offered to check the pressure in the spare for us. It was too low, so he filled it up for free.
The service and professionalism of the technicians and staff, especially Sabrina, is second to none. I can say without reservation if theres an installation needed on your vehicle that you are in safe hands at Firestone.
Driving from South Carolina to Texas, my serpentine belt snapped. Sabrina and the mechanics at Firestone were incredible in explaining to me what happened, what was needed, and recommendations for down the road. I wasnt charged an arm and a leg or ripped off for my lack of knowledge. Ill continue using Firestone sue to this experience.
This is a great place to have your car taken care of, especially if you find your dealerships mechanics have grown tired of their profession. For 20 years I have had nothing but excellent service at this location.
Bought a new to me car, and same day took it to Firestone to get a new timing belt because they were the only people open on Sunday (my only off day). I paid 850$ and was assured that the car would be ready that afternoon. I called back later in the day and was told to show up around 4:30 (right before close) to pick up the vehicle. I arrived and was told that they wouldnt leave until it was finished. About 15 minutes later I was told the guy didnt know how to do the job. When I asked how it would be done I was told,oh, hell just have to figure it out. The clerk later came out and said it would be the next morning. After asking to leave early from work an hour away, I arrived to a car that made a loud racket from the engine. I was told to leave it there and let their expert mechanic look at it the next day. I was told the previous day that the expert mechanic was the one working on it in the first place. I asked to speak to the manager, Vince, who is scum of the earth. He told me he was tired of dealing with my problem and that if I drove it away he wouldnt be liable. Fair warning to anyone looking to have service done at Firestone.
Off the chain good...every state every time.
They are friendly there but if youre in a hurry, dont go there. I went on my lunch break for an oil change. They said 30 minutes. An hour later they hadnt even started. They finally finished almost 2 hours later. Another person I was talking to there he came in before me and was still waiting for his oil change to be finished.
Besides the wait time the customer service is great. I came in when they opened and had a appointment but it took them an hour just to get to my car. Sucks for me I will be late for work. So making a appointment doesnt always work. Besides that they are very friendly and helpful.
Made an appointment at 11:45 and got there at 11:35. They couldn’t find my appointment. Finally found it and I asked if it would be done within the hour since I was at lunch. He assured me it would. 35 mins later my car hasn’t moved. I go inside to ask what’s going on and the 2 guys at the counter say they’ll be with me in a minute. Meanwhile they’re just talking to each other while I wait for 3-4 mins. Finally I ask for my keys and the guy just hands me my keys and doesn’t say anything. I NEVER write reviews, and I will NEVER go to this location again.
Called about a quote on my brakes and tires, instead she was in a hurry to answer the question(s) and just threw a price out there. Ask can she put the make and model of my car in computer instead of just throwing me a quote. Came back a different quote then what she told me. Hire more patient people instead of the Impatient stupid woman that answered the phone.
Got tires from here 2 months ago, the day after I got them one was flat. Took it back they replaced it and now a month and a half later another tire is slowly going flat, took it in to ask if they could look at it and made me wait all afternoon. I would not recommend them.
I have used firestone for 16 years. They are just like any other business. Sometimes great, sometimes bad. The particular location on hwy has an associate named Sabrina that works the front. Whenever you see her turn around and leave. If you ask for an oil change and an alignment, you’ll get a tire rotation and washer fluid. That sounds funny but I am not kidding. She is a terrible communicator, and a terrible listener. Everyone else great. She should be happy her teammates are professional and don’t give their true thoughts on her, but you can see the looks on their face when she screws up. I am literally 5 for 5 with screw ups from her not listening. What’s more she had an aditude when she makes a mistake. Again her name is Sabrina. Sabrina Sabrina Sabrina.. you see her run.
Karen the sales advisor and Michael the technician were excellent. People to be trusted, who care about you and your vehicle.
The technicians were very friendly and keep me informed of what was happening with my car.
Tried to charge me for everything but what the problem was. I apologise, it was the Bessemer Rd location
When it came time to purchase new tires or our vehicles, I did a lot research and got a number of comparable quotes. Firestone easily beat every quote. On the service side, its been a big disappointment. Tried to sell me a new air filter when the one in the car was only 2 weeks old. Tried to sell me an alignment with no explanation. When I asked to see the numbers one wheel was so slightly off that I really beleive it could be calibration error as the old tires showed no signs of uneven wear and the car never pulled. Today I went in for an apppointment at 9:00 am. Every bay was full and I was told they were down 3 techs. Took 2 hr and 15 min for rotate and balance and oil change. I specifically asked twice to include the full size spare in the rotation. Left only to see it was not done. Incidently, its running the same air filter as on last visit and today it was fine. They also did not mention an issue with the suspension they said was problematic before. So if today they were really busy and everything was fine, and last time they were not as busy and they offered multiple unnecessary services, makes me wonder about how much pressure they get to sell services OR if, when they are busy, they dont do a thorough inspection. Either way, its disappointing.
Will charge you $60 to change 1 head light and will tell you it takes an hour. The actual cost of a headlight bulb is about $6 for a Toyota Corolla and it takes a LITERAL 1 minute to change the bulb. GO TO AUTO ZONE BUY THE BULB YOURSELF. THE AUTO ZONE WORKERS WILL CHANGE YOUR BULB FOR YOU FOR FREE.
Recently spent $500 for full service only to have my car cut out on me twice in the same day. FULL SERVICE BUT IT WAS BARELY A QUART OF OIL IN IT AFTERWARDS!!
Always Friendly but sometimes it takes a while because they stay busy.
They were really nice when I asked them a question.
Go see Derek! The store does great work!
Speedy service plus thorough inspections equals quality business!
Had tires installed on both trucks, both vehicles had tire pressure fault lights go off within a few miles of leaving the store.Took them back, the store manager assured me they did nothing wrong. I told her the lights weren’t on in either truck previously, she said I was lying as her master certified mechanic saw the light on prior to changing the tires.Never experienced anything like that before.Very frustrating to be told I’m a liar and have the lights going off constantly to remind me of it...
Fast and reliable service. Everyone was so nice.
Words cant express how well the great people here took care of my car that broke down on IH459 on Labor Day Monday! They were open and willing to replace fuel pump and really went the extra mile of service!! Thanks again for your service to complete strangers who were 1000 miles from home!
They did a great job with quick and friendly service.
The best firestone ive been in!
Great Service and very friendly people at this service center
Jake is the bestest.
Staff was friendly but made an appointment. They said I would be next. Took 4 hours to change brake pads. Wont be going again.
Great staff. Professional service.
My rental car had a nail in the tire and the company uses Firestone for this service. A+ service and we were in and out in no time at all.
Service quick and professional
They were great with my brakes. I cant express how highly I recommend them.
This is the real deal folks, when you need it done the right way. No joker in this deck.
I didnt go there
They told me to bring my car in at 10:00 am but when I get here its another 4 hour wait. That is very inconsiderate to peoples time. If it was going to be a 4 hour delay, they shouldve informed me or something. Very poor customer service and I wont come back.
Great Service & friendly employees.
Dropped car off for rear rotors and pads at 130pm on December 3rd and they did not finish the job until 645pm the following day. No heads up on how long it will be or what I needed done or anything. Poor service!
Very fast service
Expensive and busy but good service
Great service
Quick
Very helpful
