We recently moved to Birmingham and used Road Runner and we had a great experience. We used their climate controlled storage facility for a few months and then they moved us into our new home. On time, professional, and communicated with my husband and I throughout the entire move process. I can’t speak for other reviews I’ve read on here but our experience with Road Runner was amazing. I had jewelry stolen and 2 antiques broken. I have reached out to Road Runner for over a month and have received zero help or compensation to resolve this matter. Do not EVER use this moving company!

I am beyond upset with this company. And I will never use them. They just moved my friend and broke several of her stuff, damaged items from passed relatives that cant be replaced and then threw them away not even telling them about the damaged items. Luckily her husband came across them in the garbage.

Would not recommend! Items arrived to storage scratched up, boxes burst/crushed, and items broken. It took 13.5 hours instead of the estimated 9 hours. Promised two trucks, but ended up with only one because they needed the other truck at the warehouse. Quoted one price but was charged about $1000 more than that. Hire someone else

Road Runner Moving either lost or stole four Samsung TVs, high end bed frame, surround sound equipment, chair, lamp. These are the facts of my experience with them. I incurred a loss of valuables worth of $10,000. This does not include the multiple items that were broken or destroyed during the storage and move. This was the worst consumer experience of my life. I’m still in shock. Decide for yourself if you should use them for your move.

Road Runner Moving Company did all of those things and more. First they showed us all of our items on paper so we can begin to make changes and adjust our list. Since we were flexible they told us the best date and time to do our relocation to save even more money. Then finally the movers were respectful and very hard working. They were also careful with all of our pieces. This could not have been completed without your help.

Roadrunner out of Birmingham is a horrible, dishonest company. The damaged some of our furniture and lost many, many items and accused us of lying. The owner is the most dishonest person I have ever dealt with.

4 hours late, got the run around over and over. Kept our $150 deposit, so I guess they think they have a license to steal. Non refundable deposit...dont show then keep it!! I guess the States Attorney Generals office needs to know. Keeping a deposit for nothing isnt legal.

These guys were hard working, extremely friendly, and very polite. They were no-nonsense and were always communicated to each other - they had an efficient system in place and all we could do was ask what we can do to help. Kudos to Michael and crew, you guys were top notch. Thank you for your excellent service.

We spent 2609.00 for the moving, our furniture was damaged do to them not paying attention to what they were doing.

I used Road Runner moving as they were the only company that I found that would move my upright piano without charging an arm and a leg. The only real downside to using this company was their call center - it took me forever to finally get scheduled and confirmed, since if the phone rings for too long, the call gets forwarded to a call center in another state. That does me no good.However, once confirmed, the movers were professional and on time, and their estimate for my move was spot on. They were also very fast and efficient. The only down side to the actual move was that they did not wrap the furniture before items were placed on the dolly. The items might have been wrapped once inside the truck, but that just made me nervous.Overall, a very positive experience.

As a veteran I definitely moved a lot and it’s not uncommon for movers to steal from us . But I was so certain I’d have a different experience. The movers took super long after packing my things and actually left things behind . I went as far as putting neon pink stickers on all that was coming along . I only moved 30 minutes away but it took them over 4 hours to get to . Once there it was a lot of lounging around then that’s when their careless ended up breaking a few things of mine including a computer . After they left around 10 or 11 pm the following day’s consisted of me getting texts from each of the movers hitting on me . They took my number off the invoice that continued for a few months wirh one the rest stopped . After unpacking I noticed a ton of my stuff missing vintage clothing I had collected throughout my life and travels and times as a model . I had all my shoe boxes but five of my shoe boxes were empty . I wrote an email also sent in that letter you send it things weren’t done right or the items missing or broken . No one replied I have written 6 emails called at least a dozen times . The only time I received a call was after two months had pass and I hadn’t made a payment on my storage . I shined light on the fact that they couldn’t respond to my emails but call me for a payment

I started this whole process about 3 to 4 weeks ago with sales coordinator Mitch. He was a very nice gentleman and walked me through the steps of how the move would take place. He told me that if I got a quote from another moving company they would price match any competitors. Once I made the deposit for my move is when everything broke loose. I never got the rate match because I was told the quote was from a broker and it will be a third party move. Which I’m being scheduled by Road Runner with a third party for their move. We were scheduled for pack today and we had no one show up. The sales coordinator told us to call dispatch and we called 4 times with a hold time of over 3 hours talking to at least 4 different people about the situation. The wrong contract was forwarded to actual moving company. After numerous complaints and speaking to various supervisors. We were finally scheduled for tomorrow between 10 and 2pm and a pick up of 2 to 6pm. Just to receive another call 2 hours later telling us that the move is being pushed back again to 2 to 6 pm. We are closing on our house in 3 days. We have cleaners scheduled and a final walk thru on a Thursday. At this point any customer would be upset. I asked the rep to get a supervisor on the call to figure why we are being moved back again. So after 10 minutes of being on hold a supervisor of Jay Santos speaks to me. I was highly disappointed in how everything have been handled thus far. So I asked why are we being pushed back again and what guarantee do I have that it won’t be pushed back again. This is Jay Santos tells me that it’s after business hours and he doesn’t have time for this and I need to know if I am confirming or not because that’s not his issue on what I was told about packers. I became more upset for him to tell me that if I don’t change my tone or how I am talking that I won’t have a move because I’m making it hostile for him and not sure if it’s going to be hostile environment for his workers. I was burning mad at this point because this company has me over a barrel because I have 2 days before I have to be out of my house to move across 4 states with a little kid and a 5 month old baby. I called our sale coordinator- Mitch again for the 4th time which we were told to call him if we have any issues and now that we have an issue. He never was able to reach him after the first call to my wife today. Then we processed to tell my wife that he has a dentist appointment and he is unable to talk. This have been a disaster and we haven’t even moved yet. So I highly recommend running the other way from Road Runner Moving company.

Had a good residential moving experience with Road Runner Moving. The price was reasonable and the men onsite were very professional and took great care of our furniture and items. Highly recommend them if you are moving a short or long distance like us.

Road Runner lost a crate of my items, damaged other goods and would not process my insurance claim even though I bought and paid for insurance. I am suing them in small claims court for damages and fraud. I recommend you NOT use Road Runner!

I had a wonderful move with Road Runner Moving ! The guys were polite and courteous, They moved everything in a professional timely manner . I was impressed with these movers . I highly recommend using this company ! I will be using them for all future moves.

I am an engineer who works with Walmart and have had the pleasure of working with Road Runner on over a dozen of our OGP remodel projects. Specifically their teams help us install the In-Store Pickup Tower in the front of the store. The project always last 3 days and is preformed overnight. Lamar, Shaun, Chase, and Daniel have all lead teams and are the best crew we have ever worked with on this project. They know exactly what we need done and stay 2-steps ahead so there is no down time. They are always in the correct PPE and are phenomenal with the forklift lifting the million dollar piece of machinery with ease. I would highly recommend their services to any retailer or commercial client.

Don’t trust in this company they charge you for everything and they break your stuff and they don’t reimbursement. I still need the delivery bill landing i requested more then a month ago and i still calling them and i don’t receive any answer.

Road Runner broke mt TV and it has been 4 months and I still waiting for the claim. I am suing them in small claims court for damages and fraud. I recommend you NOT use Road Runner!They charged me ectra money and we had a contract the worst service ever!

I trusted them. They buttered me up for my business and then broke or lost many belongings. They stopped answering my calls and still have not compensated me for all of the damaged and lost items!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Tell your family and friends as well. Here is my experience moving from Bham to ATL (you cannot make this stuff up). I have moved over 20 times and they are the worst movers Ive ever used.1) They brought the wrong sized truck so many items were left and had to be brought later. Some of which never came at all.2) They significantly damaged a number of items including my grand piano. I spent $500 to fix the piano and they refused to reimburse me.3) They lost items. They actually left them on the truck. After 3 emails and 3 phone calls and 2 weeks later they found them under some blankets on the truck. This was only after I demanded reimbursement for the missing items.4) Worst of all, during the move the lead guy made inappropriate comments to my 15 year old daughter on 3 different occasions to the point where she felt uncomfortable and went out of her way to avoid him. The lead guy did this.I have now gotten an attorney involved. They are a terrible. Use anyone but them. Feel free to private message me if you want any more details.

Very impressed with this company and the two gentlemen that moved me today. They had very high standards and pleasant attitudes throughout the entire experience. Jvarious and Braynon did an excellent job and really relieved any stress or burdens I felt about moving. They were very professional and hard working.

Please never get this company the first people that call me was new city moving witch is not the one from chicago every body’s name is john the manager from road runners is also john they will tell you a price at the beginning so you can put the deposit down and the day of the pick up everything goes over for 1500 dollars more plus i had to trow a lot of stuff away or i had to pay more now that they have my things they are telling me that the delivery is going to be more money because is a second floor and because the 18 wheeler doesn’t fit in the apartment complex so is like 500 more so from the $3900 that was the original quote is already on 5400 and going higher

Triple the time and money of other companys, employees are slim to none, theft problems within the last month! Big issue. All the pics are not of the company in Birmingham!!!

Road Runner helped me move out of my business and made it the easiest day for me. They handled all the packing, organization and storage. I would highly recommend this company for a residential or commercial move.

This is the worse company ever. They damaged almost every piece of furniture they moved. They told us one price and then they charged us another price. They have been very rude. I wouldnt recommend this moving company to anyone.

Road Runner helped me move from my old house in Southside B’ham to my new house in Grayson Valley last year! They helped organize everything! One of the Guys even doubled as interior decorator which helped a lot. Great company!
