I came in for a consultation regarding revision surgery for a double mastectomy. Everyone there is super kind, respectful, and personable! I felt comfortable, understood, and welcome the entire time I was there. The waiting room and the general atmosphere are very cozy and warm-feeling; this helped very much with reducing any anticipatory anxiety I had.Transgender friendly. I have been a patient of Dr. B for almost 2 years now and I must say he and his staff have been more than amazing to me . I had a breast reduction in March. I have been very happy with my results. I feel that for a long time I was very self-conscious due to my large chest. I would wear large shirts that looked like a potato sack on my because if I wore a medium, I felt like I was squeezed into. Since my breast reduction, I have gone down to a small. I have also quit biting my nails. Not that it correlates, but my self confidence is greatly improved. Dr. Beckenstein and his staff are wonderful, caring. The entire office is amazing and works diligently with you and the doctor. Each visit has been pleasant, quick, and to the point. I was afraid at first but after talking with Dr Beckenstein and his staff, the felling had left me quickly truly a wonderful visit.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.I requested for a consultation before doing my research and going through Dr. Beckenstien’s before and after pictures once I realized that I did not want to use him anymore because of what I seen on the before and after photos I called to cancel my consultation and get my $150 deposit refunded. The lady told me it would take a week to process it and a week to get my check. No big deal, well a month goes by and no check I call again to see what’s going on and they tell me they just sent the check that week! A month to send a check?? Whatever they tell me I’ll get it any day now another 2 1/2 weeks go by and no check again. I call a THIRD time to see what the hell is going on and they tell me they just send the check 2 days ago. A month and a half has gone by and they just refunded my money? And why did they lie to me 2 1/2 weeks ago when I called and said they had already sent it?! Anyways, I will probably not be getting my money back but at least I didn’t let them botch my body up. Do not waste your money on a consultation because the minute you feel uncomfortable you will not be getting that money back.

From Huntsville, Al & Dr. Beckenstein performed a bilateral breast reduction. I chose this doctor because he was 1. Board certified 2. His reviews were phenomenal (so I had to at least give him a shot right). During my consultation he already knew what issues that came with my size & he was respectful about it. Dr. Beckenstein’s staff is patient, knowledgeable & efficient. I saw from other surgeons in the area that staff wasn’t as respectful & the wait time was long. Definitely not the case here. Dr Beckenstein preformed a tummy tuck and left breast fat transfer on me and I have never felt better in my life. I look good and have confidence again that I havent had since I was in my teens and early 20s. He and his staff were so kind and caring. They answered all my questions helped me to feel comfortable about everything that was going to take place. I never had to worry about anything. They even provided me with post surgery scar care instructions and medicine. They were with me to entire journey. I just went for my 2 month check up and everything is looking great better than I even imagined. I was diagnosed with cancer in one breast but elected to have a double mastectomy. Dr. B is a perfectionist and believe me when I say that is a good thing. He was able to save my nipples and honestly if you did not know that I had the surgery done, you would not be able to tell by looking. The scaring is very minimal. I did not want to go big and Dr. B and his staff were very mindful of my wishes even though they tried to talk me into DDs. I could not have asked for a nicer, more attentive doctor and staff.

Dr. Beckenstein and his entire staff are miracle workers! 2 1/2 weeks before a scheduled abdominal hysterectomy, the thought came to me: why am I not having an abdominoplasty at the same time? I received a consultation for a breast reduction. I was told that I was a very good candidate for a breast reduction. I gave them all of my information to submit to my insurance to later find out my information was never submitted. I later call back to see if it was submitted and I was given the run around to later receive a phone call to say that they knew what they were doing and they submit claims all the time. Here it is 8 months later and I still havent received a phone call only a bill in the mail.

I must share my experience with all. Nine years ago I had breast cancer and Dr. Beckenstein was the doctor that took care of my breast reconstruction with implants.Now, to the present day. Three months ago I was again diagnosed with recurrent breast cancer. I have been seen by numerous doctors from The Womans Imaging in Denver Colorado, Slaon Kettering in New York and Johns Hopkins in Washington DC. Every single doctor and nurse that has seen my breasts are shocked and in total surprise to see how beautiful they look and always comment on the quality of work. Every doctor has asked me who my plastic surgeon was and I am so proud to utter the name Dr. Beckenstein. I was very happy after my surgery nine years ago but to have others comment and see the expression on their faces nine years later just makes me so happy. Now I am quite sad the a surgeon in DC will be ruining the works of Dr Beckenstein. I wish doctor Beckenstein could be my doctor once again but asking him to fly to D.C. Is asking a little much. Our story may be a little different from others but its an important story in knowing why to choose Dr. Michael Beckenstein. There was a little girl across the ocean that had been badly burned as a toddler. As she grew, so did the scars. Our prayer was to find a doctor that would be willing to help us help her. My husband called Dr. Beckenstein and began to tell him of this child in need on the other side of the world and before my husband could finish the story, Dr. B said, Ill do it...no problem. Dr. Beckenstein committed to help our family give this child something that I thought may be impossible. He has gone beyond just being her surgeon... He has shown us kindness beyond anything I could have imagined. There is no one that I would trust more. We have had approximately 14 surgeries and we have gone weekly into his office for the past 5 years. After each surgery, the scars are being erased and Im humbled by the gift (his surgical ability) that God has given this man. And then, theres his team...oh my his team...they are just like him. Committed, professional and the kindest people I have ever met. They are a reflection of him. I cannot imagine going through this without Dr. Beckenstein and his entire team. They have been an answered prayer for me and my family and have given our daughter something she never believed could happen. We are forever grateful to Dr. Beckenstein. 5 stars is not enough for this review. :)

This has been an absolute LIFE CHANGING experience for me. This surgery was the best decision I have made since I had my children. Dr. Beckenstein, and his very knowledgeable, friendly, understanding, kind staff are more than just professionals in their line of work. They have made me feel like Ive always been a part of their FAMILY. Not just another patient. So I have a very special thanks that goes out to all of the ladies that I have seen and that have worked with me before and after my surgery. Dana, Genger, Bo, Sahvanna, Mandy, and also to Dr. Beckenstein. These wonderful people have helped me make such a difference in my life, their is nothing that I will ever be able to do or say to show them just how thankful I truly am.
