Fantastic service and very friendly. Extremely helpful about any questions and concerns I had no matter how menial. They also made sure to work with me and get me the best deal possible since it was such a sudden expense. Will definitely be using them as my regular vet from now on

VAC is like family! They always have something good to say about my dogs and always get things done efficiently and timely. Normally my dogs and I dread going to the vet but ever since we switched to VAC we are excited to go! They are honest and never pushy! Cannot recommend them enough!

My first time at Valleydale was great. They were able to take my dog in the day I called, in between appointments to check her out. Everyone up at the front was very nice and helpful in transferring records, completing new client paperwork, etc. Although I wasnt with the vet during my dogs exam, he explained what he did on the phone to me and came up with a game-plan. Ill definitely be taking Luna back!

If you have doubts seek a second opinion with Valleydale, they really do care, they have prolonged my dogs life currently by 6 weeks with a change in medication routine. We have been using Valleydale Animal Clinic for quite some time now. Dr. Alex Winkie has taken impeccable care of all of our dogs through the years. His advice has always been sound and reasonable. The staff as a whole are all very compassionate individuals who truly enjoy their jobs and all animals. My family is so pleased we have found this clinic.

Everyone that works at Valleydale Animal Clinic are super friendly and seem to make all of our animals feel safe. We take our dog and 3 cats to them for everything. It’s also great that they remember all of our pets as the “Star Wars clan”. Highly recommended Vet clinic.

Valleydale Animal Clinic is one of the best vets I have ever been too. The entire staff is always super nice and super helpful. I never feel rushed and I always feel like my dog is receiving the best possible care. I always know when appointments are coming up and the flexible drop off and pick schedule is sooo nice!

Dr. Falone was great! Took the time to sit and listen, gave good advice for my puppy, was very kind and thoughtful. The tech that helped was very sweet and knowledgeable as well!

As an employee of VAC, I know how hectic the clinic can get. The veterinary technicians and Dr. LaRocca didnt hesitate at all to treat my neighborhood cat for a GSW even though they had a full calendar. Im very fortunate to work for such an amazing, compassionate veterinarian and with such sweet young ladies. 10 out of 10 all around!

When I relocated to Birmingham from Auburn in December, I was extremely anxious about locating a Vet practice I could feel as comfortable with as I was with EUVH. They were like family to me! My appointment was with a vet that had an emergency surgery. They communicated quickly and moved her to another vet. I got detailed information regarding her health. I received options for routine meds that were needed.

The entire team at Valleydale Animal Clinic is amazing! Our records were accidentally transferred there from an emergency vet one day and we are so grateful for that mistake! My dog has been having a really tough go at it lately and the staff and veterinarians at this clinic have worked so hard to ensure he will be okay. They are highly knowledgeable, thorough, kind, and genuinely care about the well-being of peoples pets. I tend to ask a lot of questions and they are always so patient and willing to explain things to give me a better understanding of what the best plan of action can be. They saved my dogs life and I will never go to another vet again as long as I live in the BHM area.

Staff were pleasant, wait time was short, and the vet gave thorough explanations of treatment options.But, when I brought my cat in, they said they didnt have time to shave him - even though they said they could when I scheduled the appointment.The whole reason I took him to Valleydale instead of my usual place was because they had a groomer on staff who would.Less important, but still inconvenient - I was charged for a take-home topical treatment and was never given one. They did refund it when I called them though.It was a nice place overall, but needs to work on scheduling appropriately, so that agreed-upon procedures dont get cancelled at the last minute.

Valleydale Animal Clinic has been amazing. After moving back to Indian Springs to help older parents in 2019, and one cat being really affected by it at the time... they were so supportive and continue to be.I love that they know me by name, but really know the two cats by name better, haha. They were so compassionate!

There are too few parking spaces. You are still using numbers and asking us to call when we get there and remain in our cars yet several people parked after me, got out and took their dogs inside and came out while I was still waiting. I sat there with my car running for 35 minutes while waiting.

This was our first visit to the clinic. They took our dog back at her appointment time and completed her puppy visit quickly while we waited. I was so impressed with how much time Dr. Winke spent explaining everything to us (25 minutes!). It felt like he really cared about what’s best for our dog. I understand why the practice has all 5 star reviews!

My pets receive the very best care at Valleydale Animal clinic.

We decided to board our 12-year old dog, Miles, at Valleydale Animal Clinic over the July 4th holiday, while we were away at the beach. On the morning of Thursday, July 4th, 2019, I received a call from Dr. Larocca explaining that Miles had developed gastric dilation volvulus and that he was in need of emergency surgery.Although it was a holiday weekend and the clinic was getting ready to close for the day when the kennel workers noticed his condition, Dr. Larocca gave my family time to consider our options and we ultimately decided to proceed with emergency surgery. Dr. Larocca made sure that we were well-informed about the risks and expected outcomes, given Miles advanced age. We never felt pressured into surgery, but decided on our own that we wanted to give Miles a fighting chance rather than to euthanize immediately.Dr. Larocca performed the surgery on the afternoon of July 4th and as promised, kept us informed and updated on his condition immediately after surgery and then over the following two days. Unfortunately, despite initially appearing to recover well, Miles condition began to deteriorate on Saturday, July 6th. We asked Dr. Larocca if we could visit with Miles after-hours and he agreed to meet with my family at the clinic in the evening. When we arrived, Miles was lying on the grass outside with Dr. Larocca and we could see he was really struggling. When he saw his best buddy, our six-year old daughter, his eyes lit up and he looked like he wanted to stand and play with her again, but didnt have the strength to do so. He had fluid buildup in his abdomen and an infection appeared to be developing. It was then that we decided that it would be best to end his suffering and to put him to sleep forever. We all said our goodbyes and Dr. Larocca performed the euthanasia as Miles lay on the grass and under dappled sun. It was very peaceful and gentle.It was the most painful goodbye I have ever had to say to a friend. Miles has been my constant companion since I first adopted him from a small rural animal control center in upstate NY in 2008. The only thing that made this process any easier was Dr. Laroccas compassion, dedication, and professional ethics. Because of these qualities, I am reassured that Miles did not need to suffer needlessly, that he was cared for in his darkest moments by someone who truly cares and as such, received the most prompt, highest quality, and most appropriate care that he could have had. Even though the surgery did not allow us to bring Miles back home, it gave us all a chance to say goodbye and for Miles to pass in the presence of those who loved him most. I shudder to think what would have happened had the kennel workers not checked on the animals one final time on July 4th, when Miles first developed bloat. I think that would have been a painful and frightening way to go.From the bottom of my heart, we want to thank Dr. Larocca and the amazing kennel workers at Valleydale Animal Clinic. Thank you for your dedication, for your compassion, and for your love for all the companion animals who are under your care. We will recommend Valleydale Animal Clinic to everyone we know and when we find the strength to bring home a new animal friend, we will most certainly bring them back for ongoing care.

I have 4 dogs that break down more than a fleet of BMWs. Fortunately the staff at Valleydale is there to help, and I would never even consider taking my dogs anywhere else, even though we live over 30 minutes away. All my dogs are more excited to go to Valleydale than pretty much everywhere else, and literally jump out of my arms and run to the front door whenever we get there. Everyone who works here is warm, friendly, helpful, and radiates positivity. This is seriously the most incredible vet Ive ever been to and have only held off on writing this review because Im scared theyll get so busy that I wont be able to go whenever my dogs need top-notch medical care.

We never worry about our miniature pinscher, Tater, when he stays here. While we live in Pensacola, Florida, we always bring him up with us when we come to visit family. It has been several years since Tater began staying here during our visits and he is always treated like he’s one of theirs. The staff are friendly, kind and good to our dog. We can’t say enough about how thankful we are for y’all.

Dr Winke did an amazing job with our last dog. He was able to diagnose an issue with him early, so that we had the opportunity to get more time with our pup. He was always very conscious of costs and sought to find us the most effective and affordable options. It was so evident to us that he was extremely compassionate about what he does, he even spent countless hours talking with me on the phone after getting test results back. My dog had a pretty rare condition and there wasn’t a lot of research on the topic. Because of this he even spent time consulting with other vets at Auburn on how to best treat my dog. His staff went above and beyond to help us through a very difficult time. When we had to put our pup down they also cried. We wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.

The entire staff was very friendly and gave my fur baby a lot of attention. It made us feel very welcome and, since it was our first visit, made a great impression. We will definitely use Dr. LaRocca again. And the girls up front were awesome! Everyone was great and it really made us feel like we were important. Friendliness goes a long way with me and I really appreciated the attentiveness and caring attitude that the staff showed us.

Haley and Deena (sp?) were great on the phone and with service at the car. Dr LaRocha (so?) and Dr Winke are always patient and informative with their explanations so we understand the results and plan of action. It’s very comforting to not feel rushed or talked down to.We have been with VAC with all four of our dogs. We always recommend VAC to friends, sometimes unsolicited.

Im a first time pet owner and I had lots of questions. Liz the Vet Tech was great. She answered all of the questions she could and referred us to Dr. Winke for any answers she couldnt. Dr. Winke was very personable and knowledgeable. When my sister and I asked a question about having my puppy groomed, he asked the groomer to come up to meet us. My first experience at a Veterinary office could not have gone better. My first reason for choosing Valleydale was because its a one-stop shop (vet, grooming, daycare, etc). The nice staff is the icing on the cake.

LOVED this place. I came from out of state to bring my two dogs here and had a great experience. Dr. Jeff was nice and attentive to my dogs even though they can be challenging when getting shots and the tech was super helpful. We were in and out of there super fast. If I didnt live so far I would definitely make this clinic permanent for all my animals.
