The doctor I speak with the first time was nice and I wish he was the one who did my filling because the one who did it was rushing as it seems like he had a few other people to do the same time as me and it was done in October of 2020 and now there’s a hole in my top filling so exact time I eat food get into it and the bottom one is now hurting me for about 2 weeks now am am about to go back to them because I never see people get filling and within a year they started having problems. It was my very first time getting filling as a 37 years old woman so that mean I been looking after my prised possessions all my life. Am so dissatisfied.

Midfield Dental Center is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Do NOT come to this place! You NEVER get to speak with the oral surgeon! They give out incorrect appointment information, incorrect surgery dates, and take ZERO accountability for their mishaps. The first time I called to inquire about getting my wisdom teeth extracted, I spoke with a young lady and she confirmed on THREE separate occasions during the call that they would do the consult and the extraction in the SAME day with NO appointment. I had family take time off from work to transport me back and forth, and I took time off of work to be there. They tell me during the consult that they DON’T do surgery on the same day and the surgeon wasn’t even working that week! So, I payed for my x-rays and I stayed calm. They called me on June 22 to schedule the actual surgery and we settled on July 14th for the date. They tell me that they will call me closer to the surgery date to give me a specific time for when they would do the surgery so I went ahead and paid the majority of the surgery cost that day (June 22). I called to finish paying for the surgery on July 12th. I also called them a couple times in the days leading up to July 14 and they tell me someone will call me to give me a time to be there, just be patient. July 13th comes (today), and I don’t hear from them. So I call again and they tell me to wait 30 minutes because they just got back from lunch. An hour and 45 minutes go past and still no call, so I call again. This time, they tell me the surgeon ISN’T working this week and that my surgery is scheduled for next week on the 21st! There was no communication about pushing the date back another week! I have already arranged for more time off work and had my father do the same just to transport me and now they saying it’s scheduled for the next week! I requested a refund and I will now be finding a different dental office to have this service done. TERRIBLE PLACE OF BUSINESS! 0/10 would NOT recommend to ANYONE!

As an individual who tends to be Dental-phobic, I am amazed at how everyone at Midfield Dental is consistently compassionate, understanding and professional.The ladies in the front office who attend to scheduling and billing always take the time to explain what my insurance pays and what my out-of-pocket responsibility is for my care plan. They have always been pleasant and accommodating in scheduling or re-scheduling.The dental assistant and hygiene team members are nothing short of awesome! And Dr. Reynolds has an amazing sense of humor and most important very gentle. I would highly recommend receiving health services from this team of professionals.

Had no problem with the front desk employees. Dr. Reynolds was very professional & often checked on me during my procedure to assure that I was ok & comfortable. Dr. Reynolds you rock in my book.

Hadn’t been here in 2 years due to previous bad dental work. Now that I’ve let Mcadory dental fix everything they messed up, i tried to give them a 5th chance today. I can in around 1230 only for impressions. I am just leaving at 4:10pm. I came in for one thing and the doctor, who never came in the room tried to upsell to get something more than expensive. After I declined and told the hygienist I only wanted what I came for he made sure to charge me more than what I was charged last time. This place is a circus. Front the front desk to the back . Everyone was complaining about the wait, even those with appointments. The hygienist was nice as she was just the middle man in the entire scam. What’s even more weird is how they were calling up everyone after waiting forever to embarrassingly discuss old bills that people had no idea about. They called me up about $12. I’m a financial consultant at a large financial institution and wouldn’t dare let a bill for $12 just linger knowing it could affect my credit. But this is the same dentist that I came to years ago that always bragged on how good my insurance was...and begged for me to have wisdom teeth taken out that never gave me problems. It’s sad that I was up charged for an Essex ...$300 just because I’m having my procedure done elsewhere. And reading some of these comments while waiting..... this place has really taken a turn!!!

They give Caucasian people prescriptions for lortab, and African Americans tremedol. $240 to pull 1 tooth. wouldnt prescribe antibiotics..

I wouldn’t recommend this place to a DOG with a loose tooth! The office is a bunch of money hungry insurance scammers who could care less. Recently I went in to have a final seating to a bridge finalized (just cleaning the temporary and replacing it with the tooth bridge) I live 35 minutes across town but I went back because Dr.Reynolds started the work. (It had been a year since I started that process I was just in a serious accident and it took a back seat to my recoveries since I had head trauma so dental work was not recommended. )NOVEMBER 2019 I had my previous receipts in hand ready to come in and let Dr. Reynolds complete the service. They argued with me 30 minutes about how much I owe after insurance since my last visit, AFTER I had just been seen. I was shocked because I was holding insurance papers and a receipt from them saying I only owed $400+ more dollars not $700+ more dollars. She assured me it was fine I paid $200 for what was just done and was to come back in December for the final glueing of the bridge since it had to be reshaped. In the mail a couple weeks later i get a letter from Midfield Dental Center saying I STILL owe the $500. I spoke to the receptionist on the phone whom again tried to convince me I was wrong, then AGAIN agreed I was right. So I’m getting ready for my appointment at the end of December and receive yet ANOTHER notice from the clinic with a new date but the same $500+ balance. I was livid and refused to go to the appointment. January 2020 comes I decide to ask to speak to the Billing contact at the facility whom was VERY nice-nasty to me and insisted the $500 was owed and they had no record of agreement only a estimated amount insurance would pay. I asked why they agreed to take my money and see me last time and she said it was a “courtesy” that’s all . Now, I work for a Medical Billing office and I knew this was starting to sound very scam-ish, so I expressed my issues to My insurance BCBS and had them call in ay only to hear the billing officer straight up LIE and say I misunderstood that I only owed $200 and the old bills were showing I owed $500 because I didn’t come back to the appointment in DECEMBER 2019. My insurance asked that she leave a note on my file stating that is what took place and asked that they not bill me again for the same service because of how irresponsible the reasoning was for incorrectly billing me. So FINALLY I get to the appointment on time and excited. I paid the $200+ before being seen. Then I was asked to sit in the waiting room. After 3 and a half hours I realize I have yet to be seen and everyone around me was gone. I ask the front desk when my turn will me and she advice “you can come now if you want”. (I should’ve known it was some BS) I get to the chair Dr. Reynolds greets me happily as usual and puts the paper bib on and literally 3 minutes later the front desk lady comes in saying “you still owe $200+ dollars and can’t be seen until it’s paid. There is a sticky note saying you only owed the $200 you paid already but we don’t know who wrote it and our billing officer leaves detailed notes and there is no name on it and NOTHING in the system.” I was so frustrated I LITERALLY STARTED CRYING. I had to take off my job, get a sitter drive 35minutes from Trussvile, wait nearly 4 hours only for you to tell me what you already knew when I walked through the door and took my money. I was two seconds from calling my Attorney because this was deliberate taunting and the lack of responsibility was beyond me. They knew I didn’t write the note! I demanded a refund to my card and left. I get half way home, only for the heifers right call me back and tell me they called the Billing officer and she agreed I was correct. 2 weeks later I was scheduled to be seen and the day before I was going to go in, the billing officer calls to tell me if I don’t come in they are putting me in COLLECTIONS. I went off because how DARE you mess up my billing, refuse to see me send me home and have the guts to send me to collections for a incomplete service.

I have gone here for years and never had any problems. There was a question about my bill once and the billing person sat down with me in a private office and explained how they came to the amount I owed. Dr. Reynolds could not be nicer to me. When I first met him I told him that I am a baby and that I wasnt ashamed to say so. He is always patient. I have had an assistant I havent cared for but I speak up about it right away and the problem is fixed right away. You can trust this dental office.

Ive never been to a doctors office that I trust to work on my mouth but this place is heaven sent they treated me with so much care😌I will be coming back for sure❤

Save your time & your money! This is the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. Just be prepared to wait a hour to almost 2 hours even if you have an appointment.. yes if you have an appointment you’ll still be waiting like you’re a “walk in” the front desk ladies don’t remember scheduling your appointment so when you get there they ask “ who are you, did you have an appointment”. The WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Save your time & money!!

I always enjoy going to Midfield Dental Center. The staff there is so friendly and welcoming, from the moment I walk in and see the ladies at the front desk, to the hygienists and doctors who are working on me in the chair, the staff at Midfield Dental Center is so inviting and cheerful it makes me actually look forward to going to the dentist! They have even seen me on the spot for an emergency chipped tooth! I am very grateful for the doctors and staff at Midfield Dental Center and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Im a 50 year old male thats had a lot of dental work over the years. Within the last few months Dr Reynolds has done two crowns, a root canal and two fillings. The man is just a natural Talent and when he starts youre not waiting long. Hes totally focused, looks like hes wearing a microscope, everything is highly precise and when hes through it looks and feels perfect. Also as friendly a guy as youll ever meet. Its obvious he loves the work hes doing.

I went to Midfield Dental to have a tooth pulled. Dr. Nichols was the dentist that treated me. Dr. Never Again was horrible. He ripped the tooth out with such force that I had jaw bone sticking out of my gums. I had to go back later that day for another dentist to trim the bone down. The entire experience with this dentist was enough for me to never walk in that office again. This dentist should come with a warning.

I had my first visit yesterday to set a plan for dental work I need done. From the time I came in until I left everyone was very nice & professional. They were also able to pull a tooth that day & what little pain/swelling I had is gone now. I have definitely found my new dentist & would recommend them to anyone.

Been going here since I was little but I could not take the receptionists any longer. My hygienist was pure gold but I cannot continue to be bothered with the horrible attitudes of the ladies in the front office. These women are supposed to be the face and forefront of the business but they leave a lot to be desired. I have now switched over to Magic City Dentistry and receive top notch care and service. I will miss my doctors and hygienist at Midfield but the business will not thrive with such poor service from the individuals in the front.

Dr nichols is a horibble dentist he brought me to tears from being so rude and mean insulting calling me a liar basically while i was trying to tell him how i take care of them teeth everyone else i have met there has been sweet and lovely but nichols is a horrible dentist there should not be working on people especially the youth

I had a terrible experience at this dentist office. I came here to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I had an appointment for 9 AM and after waiting for an entire hour I went to the front desk to see how much longer I would have to wait. The lady at the desk said that it would take about 1 more hour! So I waited and was still not taken back for my appointment. The woman at the desk then lied to me about the reason for the delay. I had to speak to someone in charge to figure out that the real reason for the delay was because their suction was not working. In total I waited 2 1/2 hours after my scheduled appointment. Terrible scheduling. Terrible communication. And the lady at the desk did not give me the correct information.

I absolutely appreciate everything this office provided. Great service from the telephone inquiry to the actual procedure. I appreciate you all for being courteous and knowledgeable and Ill be back!

The front desk women are absolutely horrible and rude. They have very bad attitudes. They dont know how to proper verify insurance even when you give them your card and all needed information. The dentist in the back are great but the front desk females are the worst of the species of humans ever.

This is absolutely the WORST dental office I have EVER been in. After waiting almost 2 hours after my scheduled appointment time they FINALLY got me back. While the assistant was getting everything ready I looked over at the suction and there was BLOOD in the suction. Dried blood from another patient. I’m so disgusted with this practice and their carelessness when it comes to paitent care. Might I add that the assistant looked hung over from the night before and she didn’t wear gloves while setting up the room. I’m VERY surprised OSHA hasn’t shut this place down. Also I heard a lot from my room. I can tell exactly what every girl did the night before and just who they don’t like. I see management problems and not to mention how run down the place is. I will never be back. They are VERY unwelcoming at the front desk with their sour faces. DO NOT GO HERE!

I had an amazing experience at Midfield Dental today. They saved my life with the dental emergency I had over the weekend. I ended up having a tooth pulled with root tips. They were able to get me in today as a walk in emergency and get me out just as fast. They have customer for life with me and I would highly recommend them to any and everybody who has dental issues. Friendly and competent staff.Ive been visiting them for over 30 years.Unfortunately, today after a tooth extraction the kind Dr. forgot to sign my prescription. I can not get meds filled. I am in pain and highly aggravated.I dont believe I will do business with them again after this pain and suffering.

Very poor service! They never charge the price they tell you! They do a horrible job verifying insurance! Ive been a patient here for several years, but I will not come back! The only reason I was still coming was due to their flexible schedule! I cant take anymore of this unprofessional business! I will not recommended this place to anyone!

In my opinion this is the best place to go to. Quick and painless. What more can you ask for?

CROOKS....they quoted me a price 2wice verbal and on paper, after I came in to get the procedure done, the price went from around 200$ to 954$. So Im not prepared nor am I gonna pay this for a sensitive tooth, so I was charged 50$ after waiting a hr for my appt just to walk to the back room sit on a chair for 15min so a dentist could look in my mouth after coming here several times he should already know what he is doing...CROOKS, u cant prosper off of cheating people, not clean in there either

Well Im writing this because I had fillings done there several years ago (maybe 2012) and last year the filling broke off flossing & ended up having to get it pulled & a bridge because the tooth couldnt be saved. Well fast forward to this year same time after thanksgiving and I was eating a sugar cookie which was very soft & I must have swallowed this one but the same thing the filling is gone jagged tooth & I am going back to the dentist tomorrow dreading what they are going to say. I believe they use very cheap material to fill teeth because I have fillings since I was a kid that have never came out and these ugly silver colored fillings they used make my teeth look gray... Unless they have decayed by now. I pray this dentist I see tomorrow just puts crowns on all of them. Midfield was very rough on my teeth & even pulled them apart to put fillings in between 2 molars which is the problem Im having now. And dont let people fool you. They are not affordable if you end up losing your teeth. They charge basically the same amount as other dentist. I believe $75 for an extraction when I went. But the old saying goes you get what you pay for well after dry sockets & now all these cheap fillings falling out this is not the case with Midfield dentistry. You will wait all day & leave with something that MAY last for 5 to 6 years. Smh...

THEY PULLED THE WRONG TOOTH!!!!I came here to have a tooth pulled after being told by multiple people that it was a great dentist. When I got there, they called me back and took me to a tiny room. A nurse came in and just shoves papers in my face telling me to sign them, doesnt give me time to read, doesnt explain, just says sign. I had enough time to see that one of the papers said Number of teeth being pulled: 1. So I signed because I was only having 1 pulled. The dentist comes in and doesnt say a word to me, just starts putting shots in my mouth and leaves. When he comes back I tell him that I dont feel like Im numb around the tooth that was supposed to come out. He says we will check, and starts poking right on the tooth that was supposed to be pulled. I tell him I am numb and he can continue. He gets it pulled and everything is fine. Once the numbness wears off of my face, I see that he PULLED THE WRONG TOOTH! The tooth that was supposed to have been pulled, has a hole in it. The one he pulled, was a wisdom tooth. Ive always been told you cut wisdom teeth out, not pull them. So Im not sure why he would;1. Pull out a wisdom tooth.2. Pull out a healthy tooth.3. Leave in the unhealthy tooth, leaving me with more problems.When I called to address this issue, all I got was sorry you signed papers. Apparently, the papers said they were pulling tooth number 1. How am I as a patient supposed to know which tooth is considered number 1 if the dentist and nurses explain nothing?All in all, this place is terrible. I wouldnt go here again if my life depended on it.

Love, love, love this office. Staff was amazing. I was given a same day appointment at 5:45pm very flexible office that works with your work schedule. Dr. Engle is the best very nice and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Went to see the periodontist and they told my 16 year old son he needs a C-Pack. He is not 80 years old!!!!! The lady asked me if I had x-rays done recently and teeth cleaning, he said yes. They wanted to do a teeth cleaning today and so they took x-rays and my son said I just had a teeth cleaning either in December or January. The nurse(Kelly) said you should had told us this in the beginning. Because you only need a teeth cleaning every 6 months. Absolutely TERRIBLE!!! The business should be ASHAMED!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

I went here for about 7 years and the dental hygienist are great but the receptionist have just about the worst attitudes. I finally had enough and walk out because they gave my appointment away just to be petty. Theres about a 100 dentists in Birmingham I would go with one of those instead of these ppl.

My mom, who has dementia fell and broke her dentures. I took her to another denture place that tried twice to fit her with dentures that would not stay in her mouth. I took her to Midfield Dental and all in the same day, they made her dentures that fit perfectly. They also filed with her insurance and it cost her nothing out of pocket. They treated her with kindness and respect. The other place didnt file insurance and had charged over twice the price for dentures that she couldnt wear. We did get a refund. Thank you Midfield Dental for making a huge difference in our lives.

The staff is extremely rude, especially the one named Mary. Just a nasty attitude every time. Like her life is just completely miserable and she takes it out on all of the patients. They would do well to get her toxic energy out of this practice, then maybe it would be a decent place to have treatment.

I will never come back. Very rude staff. Very unclean. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

They do great dental work but the front desk customer service is a major problem. Ive had at least 4 different incidents with those ladies. If I didnt care so much about my teeth, I wouldnt consider going back but Im going to try again and update this post accordingly. Wish me luck lol.

Made my husband an appointment & when we got there the receptionist argued he didn’t have one. This happened twice. The receptionists haven’t a clue on how to schedule! We will NEVER use them again & Do NOT recommend them to anyone!!!!

I loved the staff at midfield dental they were very nice and answered my questions .my dentist leslie Nichols and his assistant were very nice and caring they understood the amount pain I was in and my situation so they very nicely worked with me made me feel comfortable and got job done fast and safely I appreciate you all so much thanks for helping me today !!

When you have me scheduled for surgery at 9:30, and by 12:30 Im on the chair and you and your assistant both ask me what Im getting done today, i am already not confident. If you scheduled the surgery, which btw the surgeon was not the one I expected or my regular one, shouldnt you know what youre doing to me? Yes we had gone over it before but how as the patient am I responsible for telling you the surgeon what i want done to my mouth? In addition they assured me of a time frame for.both my top immediate and bottom partial denture of 2 months, this has turned into 6. My teeth do not fit and when ive asked them to fix it they play it off like they will eventually. They are not to tight, they are to loose and just fall out theres ZERO suction. If I at all possibly could sue them and go elsewhere to correct this sham of a dentistry offices work i would, I feel like I was lied to on several levels and if I had of been properly informed never would have gotten this procedure.

I will never be back. Front desk is awful. Everyone has a horrible attitude. I would never recommend this place.

My entire family used the clinic in the past, used being the operative word, (Dr. Jackson) the pediatric dentist was excellent with my daughter how ever the staff was very rude older lady upon chech out, have two insurances wasnt aware of balance on daughter account of (23.60) that had been sent to a collection agency and if we didnt pay that my son couldnt be seen today, even though he was having a toothache.Needless to say I was really upset and though my entire family used them I felt that its time to move on to someone who can be more of an oversight and tge fact we always paid our bill in the past and could use the business. It might be due to the urban area that you think its okay to treat people like that, but its not. I refuse to patronize a business that does not respect nor appreciate my business .

I have been here several times . my first visit I was not impressed the stone faced women at the front desk should know and understand that they are dealing in the capacity of public service.... But any way I gave them another chance, but today was different I had an emergency. They got me right in.Everything was ok. Until the dentist came in I cant recall his name. But Im frightened of dentists. LolAnyway, this guy sits down and his bedside or chairside manner was great. He pretty much walked me through everything constantly ensured if I was ok.But check this out the tooth had to come out when he told me this I became a clumsy child asking was it gonna hurt. LolHe assured me i would hear grinding and feel a little pressure, and his statement was correct. But what he didnt tell me was that his skills was so good I would not even know the tooth was out!!!!.Can u believe this? Damn hats off and salutes to MIDFIELD DENTAL... Today was a great day for Me at Midfield Dental. First let Me say this; today was not My first visit. I had some dental repair work done on My denture today and was told since this has happened once before there wont be any charge! I wear a partial in the bottom and full denture on top! And have been very pleased with both. Ive worn a bottom partial before but they never fit right. A few years ago a friend told Me about Midfield Dential and the partial they built for Me fit well from day one! As a matter of fact they fit so well I took My 90 year old father there to have both uppers and lowers done. He has had them for two years and only needed one adjustment right after getting them. Everyone there is so nice and helpful. Thanks for Great Dentist, Great Dential Assistants, Great Recepionist, and Great Prices!! Thanks Midfield Dental for a very pleasant day!!!

I paid a lot of money to get all my teeth removed here then paid 380&for dentures that i cant even keep in my mouth because they are not made right they are aweful

My child had a dental emergency and I didnt want him to wait from Friday to a Monday for his normal dentist. So remembering the commercials knew they were opened at Saturdays. First impression not impressed with the people at the front desk but the dentist took an xray looked in his mouth and basically wanted me to reschedule so she could go ahead and do anothers patient. I was even willing to wait and can in early when they asked me to come in early. You can tell when ur not wanted or welcomed. Obviously I do not recommend them.

My wife went to have a procedure done on Saturday. She came home crying hysterically because of the nurse at the front desk. Im not going to initially say what happened because my wife was completely embarrassed and humiliated. Ill just say that the women at the from have zero customer service or respect. My wife never even got to fill out paper work, she was to humiliated to stay. So needless to say the dentists never saw her. She nor I will even go back.

I swear this will be the last time that I will ever come to this dental center!! if your appointment is at 2 expect to be seen at 245 or 3, the communication between the front office and doctors suck,they book appointments with out knowledge of the doctors schedule, they had me waiting for 45 mins for a surgeon that was never there! They are such a inconvenience unorganized mess!

STAY AWAY!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE BY DR. Nichols. He advised me after extracting my tooth that I had gum disease, but never advised me of what I needed to do next. Did not prescribe me any antibiotics for my infected gums after extracting my tooth. only some hydrocodone pills that will not help to cure my issue. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST TO MY WORSE ENEMY, STAY AWAY!!!

Took my dad to have dentures and all I could hear is how bad the receptionists talk about people who are their clients and when I look at them they get quiet. Rude. Disrespectful.
