I had a great experience with Geek Squad at the Brook Highland location on Hwy 280. I had purchased a new laptop and I dropped it off along with my old laptop for them to transfer my files, pictures, etc. yesterday and I was told that it might take three days. It was actually ready last night for me to pick up today. I highly recommend this Geek Squad location. Also, the customer service representative was great. Very pleased with my experience.
Should make it very clear that you do not offer services to people that didn’t buy from you. Total waste of time.
The interactions, both in person and on the phone, that I had with this particular squad of geeks was very pleasant and professional. One reason for only giving 3-stars is because when one the Geek Squad members at this particular location tried to put the side panel back on my desktop tower he struggled mightily. Eventually my desktop was given back to me with the side panel not properly fitted to the chassis of the tower. This inability to properly secure my side panel did not inspire confidence in the technical ability of the members at this location. Another reason that Ive rated this squad with 3-stars may be out of their control, but after paying a $99 diagnostic fee I was told the next day that my motherboard was bad, thats it, no additional information. My expectation is that for $99 the Geek Squad should be able to tell me which portion, or even specific component, of the motherboard thats not operating correctly. I was offered the option of shipping my PC to a Best Buy repair center where they could tell me specifically what was wrong with the motherboard, and then provide repair options. I declined this option. I do have to say that in addition to being pleasant and professional the Geek Squad at this location did provide speedy service, although it wasnt service that was very helpful. I would be very hesitant to use any Geek Squad services in the future.
Great Service. No issues at all. Brought the laptop and they repaired it.
Go anywhere but here. Very inefficient, poorly trained staff. They make you wait too long to pick up. Staff is sullen and not helpful. We stood in line for over 20 minutes to just pick up our computer that was already paid for. No crowd, their staff just stood around and refused to help. Customer service is apparently not an important concept to the Hway 280 Geek Squad.We will use someone else next time.
My PC would not boot. When I took it in, the GeekSquad person said it was a simple problem. After a couple of days they said they could not fix it, unless they wiped out all of my programs and data. When I asked for it back, they still charged me because they had removed a few viruses. They are not competent and will tell you how technically savvy they are, even as they tell you the only way to fix the PC is to do a factory reset.
No need to call. It doesnt go to the local store. Its an automated system..
I have not been satisfied with the service provided and would not recommend.
