I thought I’d give Birmingham Classic Cuts a shot with cutting my hair and trimming up my beard, which has been a tricky thing to get done in this age of Covid. Two young men Put Birmingham Classic Cuts on the map, and often I would hear about the barbers at seasick records – which sounded strange – until I realized they are and aren’t cutting hair at seasick records. The spaces adjoin One another, but Also don’t Adjoin.Well, I didn’t understand it either before I saw it, but then It made sense. Excellent place, fantastic guys, and everybody I talk to seemingly had a great haircut; they had gotten it cut at seasick records, more correctly -had gotten their haircuts at Birmingham classic cuts which is kind of inside seasick records. 9 haircuts later, A.P. Is now my man. He knows exactly what to do. A.P. Is a Master with the beard.I’m telling you I’ve never seen a place work precisely as this machine, and these guys just do what they do, in a friendly, professional, well-trained methodology while still living room for personal style. I’m hooked. They run their shop in a precise yet welcoming way, and I appreciate their style. I should also say, younger males in their 20s on up to guys in their 60s All get a great haircut. Birmingham Classic Cuts is the place to go for a fresh hair cut. I only get a haircut twice a year, so theyve always got their work cutout for them hacking back my unwieldy mess of a head. Cant recommend them enough. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere inside of Seasick Records doesnt get any better. If youre from Birmingham you know, but if youre new to town check em out. You wont be disappointed.

Beard guys #1 place for a trim and shape up . I was lost when I 1st started growing my beard. Until I came across this place and AP hooked me up . I shave my head so no need for barber but if I had any hair they would handle it . Cool place both Barbers top notch and plus its cool record store also .

Hidden jewel. No big sign outside, these guys stay booked just by word of mouth (Hey, who cuts your hair? This guy named Newman...) Vintage technique and the hippest cuts. You cant get this at salons. And you can shop for indie bands on vinyl while youre there...

These guys are awesome, dont listen to Matthew Baker... They do require appointments, but thats because they give great haircuts at an affordable price and get booked up. Its called supply and demand. Dont be Matthew Baker and show up expecting a cut without an appointment and then whine about it. I mean, honestly, who throws his shoe?

I always receive an excellent cut. Yes, they are typically booked a few weeks out...but it’s for good reason. Both A.P. And Newman are masters of their craft! Would recommend them to anyone.

Incredible experience from beginning to end. Their scheduling system was excellent. The haircut looks great for a good price. He even trimmed all the edges with a straight razor. Im never going anywhere else.

Ive used Newman as a barber since I moved to Birmingham off a recommendation. Him and AP do great work. They book out weeks in advance though, so plan ahead.

Snobby, we only do appointments and were booked for weeks, however my roomate just got his cut with no attitude . I know drama is popular with hairstylist but they should be called Queens rule instead of newmans.
