Best auto shop in Billings!! Took such good care of me and saved me a load of money on my repair, where other shops were trying to charge up the butt. Took care of it super fast and were very honest and up front about everything. Had an easy chance to upcharge me and did not do it at all. Will definitely be back here for any future issues. We broke down outside of Billings on a Sunday enroute to Texas, got towed to town and had to wait to call places on Monday. I rang Ford dealership and several other places, and everyone very unenthusiastically said I’d have to wait until end of the week. I called these guys and they said they’d try to take a look today, and sure as cookies we had it towed there and fixed in a couple of hours!! Genuinely so so happy with them, they made our day and our whole move possible! Very decent price and no bulls**ting, straight to the point and thorough. Would definitely recommend!

I have used these guys for my service van at work. They were less expensive, able to get the parts in and do it a day sooner and are incredibly nice. I do all my own work on my personal vehicles, but if I didnt these guys would be my go-to shop for my personal vehicle as well.They remembered my name from the first time I came in about a month ago and had everything done ahead of their already better than 2 other shops time frame.Highly highly recommend them.

**Life Saviors** We had our vehicle towed to their shop about 20 mins to closing. Not only did they stay late - They stayed 2 hours after closing working on my truck. It was a complicated wiring issue and they had it fixed and had me back on the road that night. After it was all said and done the repair cost less then the tow. I HIGHLY recommend these guys to anyone needing automotive repair in the Billings area!!!!

Great service and integrity. We have taken our business truck and personal vehicles there for a year or two. I was just in for a new knocking sound in my front wheel/axle with braking. Ed was very knowledgeable when talking about it, and it turned out to be just what he thought it might be. I asked if they could also service my air conditioner, and they let me know that it was not needed at this time. I appreciate that kind of honesty and integrity. Amy who works up front is also very pleasant and helpful. I am impressed with their service.

Fantastic service. Helped me fixed a transmission fluid leak for a fraction of what the other repair shop said it would cost. I’m extraordinarily grateful and they have earned my loyalty several times over.

They went above and beyond to make sure I got back on the road. Called multiple places and they got me in right away. Beat the price by hundreds of dollars compared to other shops around town.

Basama Auto Repair changed the work to refurbish old parts instead of replace with new parts as agreed in advance without even asking for my approval or offering a discount. Then refused to honor his warranty when the refurbished part started to fail again within 3 weeks of repair. He now claims that parts are not available. Parts are available through several sources. Also claims that the vehicle has safety problems which he made no mention of prior to his refusal to correct the problem that he was first hired to fix.

Driving through Billings on a long road trip and hit a large tire tread. Cut my brake line and air shock right in half. Ed got me in first thing in the morning, made the repairs and got us back on the road by noon. Great work, friendly and reasonably priced. His lovely wife, Amy, even gave me a ride back to the hotel and picked me up when my repairs were done . Couldnt have asked for a better ending to what could have been a nightmare. Thank you so much!!!

Had a wheel bearing go out while passing through Billings. The service was excellent and was very affordable. They got us back on the road within an hour, great people to work with.

We were on our way home from a visit to northern Idaho. Passing through Billings MT our ac compressor was locking up and broke the idler pulley bolt off in the motor. Luckily we were not far from this shop and the suv made it there. These people were amazing. Very nice people waiting room with kid toys, I have 3 so it helped a lot and had me up and going same day I brought it in, fixed my problems, and very well priced. Highly recommend they went out of their way to find my parts too. P.S. I forgot to mention I live in Arkansas so I still has 1400 miles to drive home made it there no problem after repaired!!!

Honest and Logical Mechanics! This place got me and my family, being my wife and kids, in immediately and we are from out of town! They fixed our Death Wobble as our vehicle vibrated out of control going 75 in a heartbeat! I have mechanical experience and fixed many front end issues, still couldnt get the wobble out! Took it to them as they showed me in person within 5min and fixed it at a very reasonable price! I highly recommend 406 if you want something fixed! If you wanna fix something that aint broke go everywhere else in billings. 406 automotive quite possibly saved my family! They also had a play area for my kids and a lil cat which helps a lot if your a parent and worried about that, no worries theyll make you feel right at home!

This is a customer oriented, friendly business. Ed and Amy go out of their way...above and beyond...to meet your needs with your auto. They are especially keen on classic cars. Ed can tune your baby to run smooooth as a top! Exceptional service, knowledge, and experience in this day and age of getem in getem out! Thank you Ed and Amy! Along with great care and repair of a 53 Kaiser, they have taken care for us a 2005 PT Cruiser and a 2001 VW Bug. Other family have had a Suburu and a 99 VW Bug repaired and all of these have been without a question, the best experience we have had with a garage and a star mechanic.
